Logs
Very, very windy here and very distracting, lots of searching by all 3 of us, some detritus found that could be cache related but it did not appear before we were blown away.!
It was extremely windy here, our glasses all covered in spray and very difficult maintaining balance while searching, did find a small yellow and red screw top container, but no sign of cache. Wind drove us away.
We'll I was going to say the container needed maintenance but now I have read the description and logs seems I should have done it. Sorry I was not prepared for that. I do agree that the container is about to fall apart. I think it may be just wind and salt damage. When I am next down I will check on its status and replace if I am able.
Nice place anyway, I wished I had timed my visit for a tour. Very windy but I guess it always is. The drive in is not to be taken lightly but 2WD is OK.
I am not sure if I put it back in exactly the same place.

After camping the night at Saltwater Creek we headed off to the lighthouse. This cache took me a while to find and it was not until I stood back and cast my eye over the whole area did I find it. The container seems to have been attacked by rats as there were large holes in the bottom. I suggest that the next geocacher repace the container or the owner does it. Anyway the duties were accomplished and then the area was admired. TNLN.
A wonderful and must do detour out here.
Thanks to Robmc for confirming the cache is still here.
A bottle of bubbles has leaked in container, most contents are a little sticky.

We were in the area walking the Light to Light walk. Went looking for this cache and found it in a spectacular location. Somebody had left asweet in the cache and as a result the contents are sticky. Left some bubble detergent and took the highliter. TFTC
We did a tour of the light house which was way cool
a quick find and sign and we were on our way back to mallicoota
thanks ian and penny

Glad to see the cache is alive and well.
(Thanks RobMc, you saved us a trip.)

It's not true! The cache is alive and well.
I have been away, and did my pocket queries before I left, so I didn't know that this cache had been archived.
It is a great spot, spent ages photographing and viewing in all directions.
There was a small lizard showing where to leave the main track, so I followed him. He ducked under the short bushes, and I thought I would be in for a long search, but no, first place I looked! The cache is in fine condition.
Thanks, for bringing me back here, Robmc.

Can't believe this cache hasen't been found in nearly 12 months. It's still there in perfect condition. As the owner says, you do not need to leave the well worn path to find it. It's no more than 2ft of the path. The road in is in a sorry state. Lots of potholes and corrugations over the full 21km. If you drop in, there are lighthouse tours Thursdy through to Monday at 1pm and 3pm. Anothed great spot to stop is the lookout over Disaster Bay. Only 50m or so from the road. Tremendous views. Tftc
Coggs and Drouinrooboy looked hard for this and could not find it. We think it is gone as it has not been found for many months according to the log. This is a pity because it a great spot for a cache as there is a lot of interest in the immediate area. I hope the Cache owners can get back and check on it and replace it if necessary.

Visited the Green Cape and lighthouse. Spotted a lot of seals and some whales, blowing.
Big waves producing enormeous splashes hitting the rocks. But......no cache.
Have been searching for about half an hour - nobody around, great - and the GPS kept pointing me to a certain area. Although I went into the bushes fairly deep, no find.
Looked around in a radius of about 15 meters for another spot but found no obvious locations.
As I didn't want to do damage to the vegetation I didn't press on too much and so gave up.
A pity this is a "no find" as this was going to be my 10th in Ozi on this great location.
I hope it's my clumsy way of searching and not the cache that has been muggled.
Pocileh from the Netherlands.
Note: It was a day or so after the visit I realised -after reading the previous log by squalid- that at the location where I've been searching, fairly high and near the top of the slope, I found a fairly big deposit of wood apparently washed ashore by water (I estimate it at a height of 8 to 10 meters above normal sealevel). If this is indeed what happened, maybe the cache has been taken by the sea....

When we arrived for the tour, the ranger informed us that the tour wouldnt be starting down on the point as usual, due to the presence of 3 (!) brown snakes in the area that had persistently resisted efforts to shift them.
The tour was excellent but afterwards we spotted one of the aforementioned snakes, so I only undertook a cursory search as sticking limbs into the foliage seemed unwise.

We had quite a chat to the ranger on the way down. He said that the waves this morning were reaching as high as the bottom of the vegetation below the lodge, and that the winds were ~120 km/h, although he reckoned he had trouble standing upright with the wind gauge. It was still pretty wild while we were there. We found the cache after quite a hunt, still in good order. TNLN, Thank you very much for bringing us to this breathtaking spot.
The sort of caches I like....no muggles and can take your time.
We've been here before the eggs hatched, so our 2nd visit to the lighthouse just to make sure it was still standing.
Took Ramon TB, left a ball puzzle game.
P-P-P-Pingu! Pingu!

Newbie Crazy Lou found this cache after a thorough search. Took the small game, hip strap to keep the kids entertained. Dropped in a fluoro pen and washer kit. Dropped off TB Ramon to continue his travels. The road in was extremely dusty. A three car convoy resulted in reduced visibility on the way in. If it's still dusty when you visit make sure you clean the car air filter. The dust gets into everything. SL. Thanks.

The cache was found in good condition after a short search, pretty much where we thought it would be. Not that the cache was the only attraction, Lucy has an affinity for light houses, and has visited quite a few over the years. We almost had the place to ourselves, and all eyes were on the main attraction, so we did cache things, took some photos and departed. TFTC

Thought I'd better log a DNF (rarely do this) but thought others might appreciate knowing that it got past us and may or may not still be there.
Nice drive through the Ben Boyd Park, we even did the right thing and paid the $7 !
Great view at GZ, may come back and stay at the lighthouse some day.

This one has been on the watch list for a while but as it is over 250km from our place to the cache we have been waiting for a chance to get it. With two caches published in the Bega valley this week now was the time. It may be a bit off the beaten track but this cache is superb! Shell and I were a bit cold but we still sat and watched the local wildlife including Kangaroo's, sea birds, and a seal colony. We watched the seals play in the surf for a good 15 minutes after we found the cache. There was around 30 of them within 100m of the rocks.
Thanks ian-and-penny for the great cache. We had a great day, 3 caches, 520km and 8 hours and to have this cache to top it all off... I can recommend this cache to everyone, well worth the trip.

My last find for the day. After locating r u gonna do it! had to decide whether to look for any of the caches in Merimbula as intended to stay in Eden overnight. I much prefer Eden so bid farewell to Merimbula. I have visited Eden four times now & until today, never passed through Merimbula. Arrived in Eden at 1530 & made the dash down to Green Cape. Located cache after a few anxious moments. It rained heavily the whole time. Once replaced, I watched seals cavorting in the swells at the tip of the Cape. Stopped at the pay station on the return as the view here over Disaster Bay is breath-taking. If you purchase a Parks Pass your entry fee is covered. Otherwise it is quite expensive. (NB - there is no need to tramp through the bushes when looking for GZ. There is a well trodden foot pad beside GZ)
A first to find!!! Great place on a lovely day. Easy enough find in the bushes. Took: Horse, Left: Train. I notice in the log that it was placed in Oct 2006 but not published until April 2007.
It might be worth noting that this cache is within the Ben Boyd National Park and has an entry fee attached to it. TFTC
