By way of putting the cart before the horse, I found Mother Bones with a group of cachers when we hiked Mt Eerwah for JDOutdoorsAuss 21st Birthday Party event.I havent logged it though, because I wanted to find the entire series first. Today on my way up to climb Mt Cooroora, I stopped here. After parking across the road, I made my way to the cache, led bravely by Shazzar66, who has already found this one. On arrival, the cache was found in good condition. I took the TB to move to another cache. Now, one more Bones to find later this afternoon, and I can log Mother Bones with a clear conscience. Thanks for the hide and the series.
I was up in Nambour today for a working bee at the Sunshine Coast Badminton hall. After much cleaning and pressure washing, I called it a day and headed out for a cache or two.I parked up across the road from GZ and wandered up the bank. The cache was quickly located and paperwork completed. Then I noticed some things nearby which shouldn't be there and were a bit suspicious, so I called the police to inform them. As it started to rain and I could hear thunder, I left the area and headed home.Thanks!!#3708
We have a customer a few hundred metres down the road and I cant tell you the amount of times Ive driven passed this hide. Well I could tell you, but I actually stopped counting after the tenth time. Each time I was either dressed up to the nines for a business meeting, was late for that meeting, or was even later for that meeting.Sometimes your suit and tie arent appropriate caching attire. Who am I kidding? I havent worn a tie for over 20 years. The last time I wore a tie was when I wrote software for the army and had to be there when they field tested it in Darwin. On the day they had 3 tanks all backed up with a tarp over the top. Naturally they had to leave the tanks running so they could practice a quick evacuation because who really wants to be stuck in Darwin. The temperature under the tarp was beyond 60 degrees and I couldnt believe I would have to walk out into 40 degree sunshine to escape the heat. That was the last day I wore a long sleeve shirt and tie.Today was our first chance to actually park and look for an access point. At least the next time Im late for a meeting close by I wont have to think about this hide. tftc
Parked up to find that the tier 1.5 terrain was a tier nope. Went further along to get up but grass was too high came back a bit closer and found a way up. Found gz but gps was jumping and so many hollow logs checked for ages and quite disappointing but have to log DNF
Over here from Perth WA, staying in Maroochydore until our cruise out of Brisbane tomorrow.Have been looking for a cache to leave a TB I brought over.Chose this one on our way back home from spending the day at Australia Zoo.
Found with Goldie lover this morning. Heading back home after a fantastic weekend away. All well with your case.TFTC
After aborting the local event due to poor timing on my part, I decided to hit a few around Yandina, Ninderry and surrounding areas a little south of here.

Unable to sign as forgot pen. Out caching from Kiwi Woggle Scout Camp at Dunethin Rock - with HazzaKay & Cathy6370. Good hiding spot!
Tftc Cooroy Scouts and spinna76 for keeping this one going .
As we were in the area we couldn't go past this oldie.
Not as tricky as some of the scouts other ones
All good at GZ

Final find for the day whilst heading home from my adventure. Figured I could do with one more. After crossing the road and scrambling up the ridge, I followed the trail all the way to GZ. Initially I went past the hiding spot, but after coming back around I came across the well-covered container. After taking note of the clue and signing the log, the chief was back in his hole and I made my way back to the car. Thanks for the cache cooroy scouts and sierra1!
spinna76 I found your cache CHIEF BONEY on 18/7/2022, 3:40 pm. This is my find 3784 and find # 4 today. Parked across the road and made my way to GZ. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A planned walk with Peppa to finish off a challenge we both were after had to be cancelled. Due to the recent weather events, the slippery conditions and high levels of water in both the creeks and at the crossings would have made for a dangerous situation. An invite from At The Lake House to join her for a paddle seemed a little more enjoyable and rescued the days events. This then put in action a different set of events and we then had a new plan to still complete our challenge cache.
I loaded the car and meet up with Peppa at a convenient spot and off we went. A little earlier than planned but that means we can catch a few butterflies along the way. My trusty navigator had us on point and we found some good little bag fillers along the way.
Our first cache today, I parked up and we went for a little walk. I blew out my thongs getting around, not happy. I signed the log and replaced all as found. With the details taken, we were back to the car to continue to the next one. Thank you for placing this one here.

Up on the Sunnie Coast with Chamad, and this was our first stop... Even though I found this cache almost 8 years ago, in, it turns out the old location... Explains why I had zero recollection of being here before...
Back then I had no idea about recording clues for additional caches, so took the opportunity to hoof it up here and take note of the clue...
At least I didn't ruin my favorite caching thongs...

Quite a fun cache off the beaten track recommended 4wd but 2 wheel can make the drive TFTC
This was my third visit to try and find a safe access to get to the cache with weekdays proving to be very busy on the roads so opted to try this on a Sunday. Found a good spot to park on the Nambour Connection Rd and sprinted across the road into the medium grass and up the rise to GZ where I found the good hide rather quickly.
Nice to see a fresh new logbook and noted the hint for the Mother Bones on EERWAH final displayed neatly inside container.

I got lucky with this cache and happened to be with the co on a mini maintenence run checking another in the series.
All i did was mention chief boney was the last in the series to find before starting a plan of assault on eerwah..
Next thing i know we're stomping through long grass up a slope heading towards a large pile of rusting once loved belongings.
I spotted the cache not far away nestled in a hollow seemingly made for it.
Thanks so much spinna76 for inviting me out for a fun maintenence run that also included a smiley for me here. Huzzah!

We pack up our stuff and start heading home. Had some caches in Maryborough I need to get first.
Got those start driving home pickup couple on the Sunshine Coast.
I found 15 caches today. The breakdown is 12 traditional, 2 letterbox and a multi.
My son and I had a good day and were glad to be home.
Sorry for the generic log.

Driving from one thing to lunch. We made one extra stop to grab this old cache. As we work through numerous challenges that are about town it’s always handy to grab the older ones.
Stopped to grab this one of the series as passing by after an awesome feed at the Yandina Pub! TFTC
Out and about in this beautiful part of QLD today, enjoying the company, and weather ️ TFTC
It's good to finally collect the last of this series. This was the first stop after lunch on our way to a few tree fishing caches near Nambour. Was hoping for a quick find but with sooo many spots to check, especially after a big counter lunch and a couple of ales. Really hoped no snakes were hiding in the timber as my reflexes would be slow. Eventually the right hole was found!! Thanks again spinna76 for keeping this oldie active.
A cheeky grab between lunch and our target cache. Always good to keep the old cache finds ticking over for certain challenges. TFTC!
Due to Covid-19 Lockdown I have disabled my Geocaches during the period of lockdown.
Decidednot to tackle this cache from the West on the way to Yandina markets.
Different approach on return trip paid off.
Thanks Cooroy Scouts.

Muggle65 and l parked in a safe spot, crossed the road and made our way to GZ. Loved this hide. Great secret spot suiting a clue bearing cache. Coords are great and cache was located very quickly. Recorded the clue and signed our names. Now to get a date for an Eerwah assault. Thank you for looking after this series
Well another Bones cache, Parked easily enough & safely. easy find, no muggles in sight... except me of course Now we will soon be off to Mt Eerwah.
It seems this one has gone MIA unfortunately. I will get to GZ over the weekend and replace the container. Unfortunately the guardian will be replaced with a photo only.
Searched for 30 minutes to no avail. We did find a geocaching sticker and baggy near GZ. Might be worth the CO checking on this one.
Due to the Covid-19 Virus and the instructions given by our Government to stop all non essential travel I have decided to disabled this Geocache. This decision was made after receiving a number of logs on caches I own or that I am a custodian of.
Anybody logging this cache while being disabled will have their log deleted from the cache page and removed from the physical log within the cache.
The cache will be reactivated after we are given clearance to freely travel.

With a day free, a list was compiled of newly published caches in the Caboolture area, along with target caches around the Yandina, Wappa Dam Nambour and Palmwoods areas.
Parked across the way and dodged traffic before wandering up the hill and making the find. Still in reasonable shape unlike some of the others in the series.

Decided ahead of time to not park on the highway, so parked as close as was practical on the Nambour Connection Road. Made my way from the lowest side of the hill and a pathway quickly presented itself.
Quickly discovering that Qld caches are hidden in some really snake-friendly spots; in this case it took a couple of sticks to retrieve the container. Pretty happy to get this earlier cache, fills my only missing hidden month for 2008.

Found by Mary and David at 14:25. Once we went round and round, we found a place to park. WE senior citizens were not about to climb the T6 cliffs, but we found a better approach and quite a geotrail leading close to the cache. Delighted with the cache camo and appearance. Not the Boney we were expecting. Gets a FP. Our thanks to spinna76.
After finding roman bones my muggle friend and I still had time to find this cache before going back to Brisbane. Lei waiting in the car while I headed off. At gz I saw a likely hiding spot and slipped and fell on hard on my hip. It really hurt at the time but now I'm home it's all good. It ended up not the hiding spot and I soon found chief boney. Loved this cache. Thankyou for placing it here for us to enjoy
On our Mission to find the last bones coords, we arrived here. All bones found.
Thanks to Brother Colin and Scott to look after these caches!

Stopped here Sunday morning with E:) and Beardman75 nice quick find and clue noted. TFTC cooroy scouts and adopted by Brother Colin
I was pretty sure I can't park at Bruce Hwy, so a quick adjustment to the car navigation was done. Spotted and used a geo trail. My gps was directing to a spol and got me worried the Chief is gone? Recalibrated my compass and bingo! The right hiding place was located.

I read a few logs this morning and saw that I could drive in. We quickly spotted the access point and drove in past a shanty to find E Smiley already at GZ. Quick sign and we continued on. Thanks for the cache
Well that was an experience!! Managed to locate vehicle access point. This could be such a beautiful nature reserve if it weren’t for the place being used as a rubbish dumping ground. Think Chiefy Bones might be lord and master of the shanty town that appears to be developing here . Located cache and quickly signed as the rain (and mozzies) were zeroing in again. Am enjoying this series and look forward to the eerwah climb.
Here we are to start our target series for the day. Mrs 4ando left the last cache a bit out of sorts, having a past motto of ‘no trackables get left behind’ policy to now going cold turkey and leaving them behind, it didn’t sit well that since being on this trackables anonymous course 2 had already been left behind at the previous cache. Arriving here at GZ, that feeling had turned to freedom, those trackables are better off not in my pocket, I’m free!
Walking up to GZ, we started to feel a bit deflated as it looked like someone has been camping out up here, there was everything imaginable to deck out a house, even a toilet bowl. Thankfully though our phones went ‘dling, you are close’ before we reached the outhouse.
Searching around a few hidey holes, we eventually turned up the cache and stuck a hand in the depths of darkness to pull it out. Halleluiah, there is the clue we are after as well. Log signed and clue taken, time to head to the next one on our list.

Find #334
Driving from Beaudesert to Cooroy and back today, had to break the trip up a bit and what better way to do it then to find some caches. Ended up finding 6 today, not a bad haul at all.
Originally drove down the service road but by looking at the terrain and difficulty, it wasn't matching what I was looking at. Looking at the map, reading the logs, i realised there must have been a driving track. Finding the entrance was my next mission. Started at the servo and tracked south along the service road before finding a suspicious looking entrance way. Off I went (thankful I'd brought the Hilux and not the Vienta.
Spied a likely hiding spot and the cache was quickly in hand. This was an awesome cache, part of a great series. Grabbed the hint for the final and off I went. Back onto the highway heading south for home.
Thanks for the cache cooroy scouts and the maintenance Brother Colin, love your caches!

Went to the Queensland for 10 day's, landing on the Goldcoast, picking up a car rental. We spent the first 4 days staying in a nice hotel in Surfers paradise, doing all the Theme parks and some caching... While at the theme parks we got to pat Dolphins, feed Tigers etc. Then we headed up to Australia Zoo, where we booked a Tiger wall, Which was amazing, after the day at the zoo, we headed to Harvey bay, for 4 day's before heading back to the Goldcoast to return car, and catch flight home. Really loved the new Lego store at Dreamworld, went back 3 times.Tftc
Would have been alot harder finding the trail if not for a little help from rae_indie. tftc
Third of three for me on a Sunday afternoon. This one was a bit easier than the last. I found a suitable entry point from the old Bruce Highway as I spotted a geotrail near a tree leading up the hill. Up the hill and to gz, I saw an ominous-looking critter [:o]...oh wait a minute, that is the container . Thanks for a great hide BC.
Just flown in from Canberra. Love the container. First of series. TFTC Brother Colin
TFTC smile 3133# out and about with Mr & Mrs RoddyC and Ecocage1 grabbing a few caches before the BBQ this arvo what a great day what a walk to this one then find a track Mrs RoddyC saved our legs by bring the car to use
Out with the RoddyC's and GrannySmith1947 for a jaunt around the countryside picking up a cache here and there. A bit of a scramble up to this one and we only found it with the help of a torch. Mr RoddyC was pretending to be Latlongjunkie in his 2016 GIFF entry here- cache was found in the very spot he had already checked. It blended in very well with its hide. Log signed and clue stored away for use on the next trip up this way. TFTC Brother Colin.
Mrs RoddyC and I are spending the weekend at the Event at Dunethin Rocks, picking up a few caches here and there . Grannysmith1947 and Echocage1 have joined us for the morning .
We thought that after a couple of DNFs it would be nice to get a cache knowing that BCs caches are usually well maintained.
So we parked at an appropriate location on the busy connection road, and scrambled up the shortest slope we could find, bush bashing our way to GZ. Well blow me down, it is only a meter away from a vehicle track! Great, won't have to do the cross country bit again!
I went straight to my GZ but could not see anything so widened my search area. The others had begun searching elsewhere and soon our paths crossed. Well Mr Bones fooled me! With the aid of a torch, Echocage1 found him hiding in the dark where I looked first but missed him.
While signing and clue gathering duties were being done, the Geo Falcon was summoned to take us out.
Yes, you are awarded a rare Favourite.
Log signed and replaced. Found at 12.55pm on 5th August 2017. TFTC, cooroy scouts and adopted by Brother Colin.

Out with the RoddyC's, GrannySmith1947 and Milly the geodog today. Scrambled up the slope and bush bashed our way to this one(cursing Colin which seems to be a favourite pastime these days. T 1.5- bit tight with the numbers there BC!) Got to GZ and realised the terrain rating was consistent with 1.5 IF we had followed the track in from the road!!! I managed to find the cache with the aid of my torch as it was well tucked away. We signed the log and noted the clues and returned the ugly bugger to his hideaway.
Mrs RC brought the car up but would not recommend doing this as getting out was very dangerous. The traffic swings around the corner so fast and there is little visibility or warning for anyone coming out. We were nearly collected getting out. [:0] TFTC Brother Colin

We drive past this section often and luckily I'd seen the elusive track so I had an idea of where to go. Bit of a bush bash to drive in my little car but we made it! Found Chief Boney without too much trouble. My daughter made a swap for a little flip frisbee thing and it's her favourite swap ever! TFTC
neede to complete this pne in order to try Mother Bones. An easy one to access, and in good condition. Yay! Now we can go climb the mountain!
Made this one a lot harder than it should have been because we couldn't find the track to drive down to the cache. Parked up on the Old Bruce and clambered up the embankment, arrived at GZ and the cache was soon in hand. Signed the log and made a not of the coords needed for Mother Bones. TFTC Brother Colin
Quite a trek up a steep bank...or a walk along the track from opposite side....all good with cache thanks
My GPS was nowhere near a rest area or camping area. Might have to look another day.
Tried to visit yesterday as I discovered that I could not find the clue for Mother Bones from this one that I found nearly 3 years ago. Dropped in to the park where it was when I originally found it and couldn't figure out why my GPS wasn't working as it kept insisting that the cache was 6km away! Someone was camping right in front of the log where it was anyway so left....
Then later when looking at the map for another cache, I noticed that Chief Boney had indeed moved to a new location! I was in Nambour today so during a break at lunchtime popped over to the new spot that I was already familiar with having found the other one near here. Did a bit of 4WDing in the Barina and soon found the Chief again.
Took a photo of the clue and made some swaps while I was at it. Took 2 geo rocks (I love these!) and left a heart bracelet and motorbike.

Our last find to get the "Mother" location, now all we need to do is conquer the mountain. The drive in to the cache in the little Hyundai Accent was interesting. Thanks Brother Colin
After a Dunethin Rock event I decided to do a few caches on my way home. A bit of a walk to this one from where I parked but an easy find when I got there. Cool cache. Grabbed the clue. TFTC!
On the way north this morning to target a series of caches with Selva Girls and Keeping Up With we stopped to collect the last 2 "Bones" caches we needed before the final. The chief was in good condition when we finally found our way in to gz, and pictures were taken of the clue and the container before all was returned as found. Tftc Brother Colin
I was out with SelvaGirls and StortiGirls on a fun packed day of blue skies, thick scrub and the occasional cache . We stopped here for the first cache of the day. After reading the description we kept an eye out for happy campers, but only noticed their old carpet and couches left behind. A little surprised not to see anyone camping in such a pristine place really [:p].
In any case after a little walk and a quick search we had the very nicely constructed cache in hand. Thanks for the cache Cooroy Colin

Out for a day of adventure with stortigirls and keepingupwith. This cache was the perfect start to our day. The adventure started with trying to find the access point. Once that was achieved, we drove carefully along the very overgrown track. Finally, I decided not to take the car any further and we began our walk. We passed mattresses, carpet, couches and other assorted hosuehold items. If you arent too fussy, you could probably set up a great campsite with some of these items. :p When the track we were walking along widened, there were no campers. At least we were able to conduct our search free from muggle eyes. At GZ, the cache was quickly located, the clue for the final noted and the log signed. Thanks for bringing us to this "interesting" place. TFTC

That's what I love about caching. You end up in spots that are right under your nose, yet you had no idea existed despite having travelled past hundreds of times. " How can there be access to that area short of hiking through the bush? " But push on and, with a little faith and ground clearance that the average road-car lacks, you find yourself in a place feeling like the 'Invisible Man with the oblivious passing you by. Easy find; parked right next to it. Tftc
Cool spot, didn't know there was a road here liked the cache. Took "game token" - left painted geoROCKS

This baby has been on my to do list for ages, so after grabbing a few new caches close by I decided to head for this one.
I turned off the main road and made my way along the rough old track towards GZ. I was thoroughly annoyed with the amount of rubbish that people have dumped along the track....Lazy B%#(&ads!
I pulled the Geovan up right next to GZ and wandered over. After a quick scout around the Chief reviled himself. I removed the log and signed our name in the log book and after taking the mandatory photo, the cache was replaced exactly as found.
TFTC Brother Colin
Look forward to see you at our event. http://coord.info/GC66AXK

All good here.
Many thanks to dahumbug for helping out with the move.

This was one of many caches Genyo and I found on this day. We parked nearby and after a little walk were at GZ. After a quick search Genyo had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC!

I was out and about with Mr Dahumbug finding some caches in the Noosa area today.
Whilst we were driving were speaking about power trails and finding several caches with clues to enable the finding of the final cache. I mentioned my disappointment at not being able to find this cache when I last looked.
I was told to have a look on the back seat of the motor vehicle and who should I find, none other than Chief Boney.
He is soon to be reinstalled in his proper home.
I signed the log and recorded the required coordinates to complete the puzzle series.
You never know where a cache may turn up

Brother Colin charged me with returning, or placing this one in a new home. I have visited original GZ two weekends in a row and the same campers are still set up camp. They appear to have set up permanently. One lot of people have their camper overlooking the park. Too hard to get the container back to its home without being detected. So it took me a while but I have come up with a new location.

Due to too many 'instances' with crazy campers this cache has had to be moved.
Dahumbug has helped with this move.
Please see his log for details.
I have contacted theUMP for assistance with the change in location.

Found after a day at the big pineapple the kids found it there was a very abusive woman who chased us off at one of the campsites who was swearing at and threatening us I was unable to rehide cache will return next time I'm up the coast I'm so sorry guys but my kids safety is more Important then a cache
We thought we should complete the bones series to gather the co-ordinates for the mother cache.
We turned into the rest area and was surprised to see how many campers there were.
We made our way to GZ for easily but were unable to find the cache.
The obvious spot for it to be hidden has been shortened with fresh chainsaw cuts.
I fear that this cache may have gone missing in action and if it has not, I obviously was not looking hard enough.
Thanks.
