26-Sep-15

We were almost going to give up on this one but perseverance paid off.

28-Jun-15
Cache had an inch of water in the bottom of the cache.

15-May-15
I rode to Delegate, nsw, for an Adventure Riders pub night over the weekend, and picked up some caches along the way. This was my second attempt at this one, and the gps took me to the pole on the other side of the road. Reading previous posts had me looking in the right place. Thanks for taking the time to hide this and increase our enjoyment of our hobby.
Crusty.

24-Jan-15
A long weekend off and so many caches to find.
On a road trip, finding some cache with D@GEO.

First cache of the day (for me), so the name of this cache suits.
A couple of the locals yelled out hello just after we found the cache, did they know what we just found?

Thanks for the hide Crisp image

Was yucky today!! Had to read logs! Took a while but got there!

11-Oct-14
Kids got filthy looking where trolls hide! No find here!

30-Aug-14
Quick find after reading some of the logs. Keen to move on as there were lots of Mosquitos. Took a walk through the park. Liked the green hooded orchids. only managed the date not my name as cache pen and my pen wouldn't work. Log book damp. TFTC

05-Jul-14
Alas we could not find

04-Jul-14
Found on my second attempt. My first shot was solo and despite the gps taking me 300 metres up the road and into someone's front yard, I was positive I knew where the cache was but wasn't prepared to get filthy in the process. In the end, my accomplice Kato Potato did a brilliant job and sacrificed her own cleanliness today to retrieve this little cache. TFTC Crisp image and for bringing us to such a hidden treasure.

04-Jul-14
Needed a little more thought with this one and some ingenuity with some of the local flora to assist in locating it but it is there and it is in fairly good condition (log a little damp). TFTC. Lovely spot I never knew was here!

14-Jun-14
Still a did not find for this one today !

26-May-14
Called in here today found the coordinates were out though. Checked the previous comments and looked and looked. No luck was very muddy and a lot of water flowing maybe next time

24-May-14
We'll be back. We were figuring this needs a bit of a scrounge, but there were a few resident (possible) muggles about in their garden. So we'll pick a quieter time.

04-May-14
I looked high and low, got wet, explored the garden! I'm using the app on the phone which had me across the road... Read the notes and got down on my knees! Cobwebs in my hair and everything! It must be here somewhere! I'm in the area for 6 more days! I'm going to try again later!

27-Apr-14
Looked high and low - was very muddy - not our day today

19-Apr-14

09-Mar-14
Looks like this one might be missing.

09-Mar-14
After not being able to find it, rang the last finder and was told where it should be. Checked again to no avail. It sounds like this may need some owner attention.

01-Mar-14
This one had me on the otherside of the road, but nothing matched the notes nor the previous logs.
Was about to give up when saw a spot I had not looked. And there it is!!! Smile
Sorry I am logging this about a week and a half after finding, and others have dnfd it since....
No need for owner maintenance, just an adjustment of the co-ords... I took some fresh co-ords to help future finders...
Although the owner may like to visit, as the cache has obviously been underwater here, and a lil damp inside.
TNLNSL
Thanks

29-Dec-13
Second attempt still no luck Sad searched for ages with nice weather and no muggles. You win again this round one of the first.

27-Sep-13
We looked in all the likely spots, then went for a tour around the garden. A very interesting spot. Loved the bower bird nest, although not not occupied at the moment.
Had another look on the way out but no luck for us today.

19-Sep-13
We just couldn't find it. Thought we knew where it was from comments and braving the possibility of snake in hole but came up with nothing. Started raining so had to leave with 2 young kids. Did get to check out reserve, saw the orchids was suprised how many and the bower bird nest. Will return and try again another time.

A guy & a girl - 13 Towns - 500 kms - 60 caches

September Stroll was born earlier in the week with an idea hatched to head in a loop towards Sale starting from Moe. Heading north up to Heyfield, across to Stratford then down to Sale before arriving home late, it was a magnificent spring day to enjoy East Gippsland.

We made our way to Tyers, and parked the GeoRanger. We both looked in spots before Trent said to Katy check one area, and she retrieved the cache. After signing the log and replacing the cache, did we realise the nearby neighbour was watching us, so we went and explained to him what we were doing letting him know we knew about the significance of the reserve. He showed us some green hooded orchids and a Satin Bower Birds bower before we continued on our journey.

Thanks for the cache Crisp image!!!

12-Apr-13
Our second attempt at this cache has come up trumps. TFTC took rubbish out placed small swaps. Smile

30-Mar-13
Had a good look around in the obvious place but no luck.

29-Mar-13
Found relatively quickly but was nervous because of previous log saying there was a snake!!

18-Mar-13
GPS takes you to the pole, which is deceptive, especially when it's an obvious spot on the other side of the road, just gotta be brave & reach in! Phew can finally mark this one as done.

10-Mar-13
Still haven't found it will come back another time, I'm within 1metre but just can't see it, yikes

29-Jan-13
TB "Scrat" visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

29-Jan-13
Finally, I got to put this one to bed.

As per my previous log. Quote "I was looking for trolls I disturbed a small Snake.
So I went for a walk in the reserve. When I returned, the snake was still there so I called it quits." Unquote

I decide to face my nemesis and called pass to day. I did a quick recce and plunged in. I came up trumps. I quickly signed the log and replace the cache.

Not a great day for caching for me

4 caches 4 DNF's This was the the first

Found the little reserve but my GPSr was leading me to the power pole on the opposite side.
It was very wet underfoot and when I was looking for trolls I disturbed a small Snake.
So I went for a walk in the reserve. When I returned the snake was still there so I called it quits

I will try again in the future.

Thanks for bringing here Crisp image.

29-Feb-12
The GPSr had us all over the place, but thinking logically and patience while the signal settled had us at GZ. We have previously done the cache at the rose garden near the Jean Galbraith rose, so it was nice to see another tribute to a respected local identity. TFTC. TNLN

28-Jun-11
I came here with feathertop in 2007 before I was a cacher, then had an unsuccessful attempt in 2009. I came back this evening and after a reasonably lengthy hunt I was very happy to finally put my hands on it.

21-May-11
Took a while but eventually found it, complete with snails attached. Picked up BCA travel coin.

27-Apr-11
Such a hidden treasure!!! What lovely garden, TFTC!

27-Apr-11
Did a lap of the gardens before settling down for the hunt. The first place we looked was also the last place we looked. There was a bunch of hunting in the middle though, somehow we just missed it the first time. Thanks for the interesting cache, and this is the second time today we saw her name. In the rose garden in Morwell there's a section of the garden dedicated to her. TFTC Smile

23-Apr-11
Tftc. On way to walhalla a tiny diversion. Left trackable in cache . Took Lego put in eagle . Shame the reserve is overgrown.

22-Apr-11
Earthbound Chief initially followed the GPSr instead of his instinct. Gratefully, instinct won him over and the cache was quickly in hand. Left a trackable for the next cacher.

21-Apr-11
Watched Dad wander to the opposite side of the road at first but we thought he was wrong. He still located it before we did!

09-Apr-11
Thanks for bringing me to this lovely little reserve. Using my best stretching arms I was able to retrieve the cache. Thanks crisp image for the cache.

19-Mar-11
GPS had it us on the wrong side of the road. After a quick scan of the telegraph pole, we noticed the obvious hiding place and found it quickly

19-Mar-11
Gave GZ a god going over before widening the area and taking in the obvious place. Thanks for the hide and bringing us to this cool little town.

found by Dayna. will keep car travelling a bit, until I find a replacement police-car for the van

Found eventually by Dayna who wouldn't listen to her mum who knew where it was ! 2/3/11

23-Jan-11
Sneaky hide, we spent a good while searching and reading past logs, then searching some more.. Sometimes the less expected caching bag items can be more useful than you expect.. Thanks for the cache Crisp Image and also thanks for the laugh... a nano muggle walked past and asked mum, "who is that" (looking at C@H), mum replied "I dont know, stop being nosy..." we had to have a giggle.. then continue searching.. Find#852

23-Jan-11
Found on the way to the event with Spladem. Took some time to find this. We kept on coming back to the same place again and again. saying it has to be here. After some time and a handful of cache bag items we found the right ones to make the find. TFTC

06-Jan-11
After spending several minutes looking for this I was ready to 'DNF' this one, until I was dragged back by the ear to the GZ by Trunksnsuch and made to look for it!!! Never underestimate the persuasive powers of a woman!!

A great little garden for a short stroll Smile
Good to see it back in fine health Big Grin
There were several different types of lomandra grass on display I noticed.
Not my favourite cache hiding places due to the hidden spikes Razz

#3 for the Crudsaders today on the Tyers tour. Took a while to extricate, given the recent weather, but tucked away safely again. Thanks for the interesting little side trip Crisp image, both the Geokids appreciated the stretch of the legs! Good to see the reserve being give a little attention, places like these are becoming increasingly important.

TFTC!

08-Mar-10
Found the little reserve but GPS was leading us on a merry dance. - don't know why - has done it a bit this weekend. Very wet underfoot and we were sure it wasn't in the power pole opposite but this is where the GPS wanted to go. Will try again in the future. Thanks for bringing us here.
