I don't geocache much anymore and this was a relatively high maintenance cache. Somebody has asked me to archive it so they can take over the territory.
Willing to take this one over . CO might need to contact me .Have contacted with no reply. Would like to put a multi in this area.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Too many DNFs.
Anybody want to adopt this cache?
I stopped caching after the ChCh EQs and this hide deserves better maintenance because it's a challenging find that has stumped many people, many times.

Realized that I had already tried yo look for this one almost 2 years ago. Could not find it neither then nor now.
But found a wee patch of snow or something alike!

Damn, first DNF of the day. I searched a couple of locations but no joy. Maybe next time.
Searched for a good half hour and no luck I think I'll come back some other time with reinforcements!
My first cache find of the year! It's taken me 6 years to find this cache - I'm from out of town so I have a look every time I visit family who live a minute away. Was hard to spot when you're starting out geocaching but three attempts and 200 finds later you start to know what to look for and where! Glad to cross this one off, TFTC!
Took a couple of visits and a dnf but nailed it this time. Lovely reserve, my favourite. Tftc
Ultra quick find as was visible from about 3m away. Have tucked it back in so less obvious. Glad to find it this time. Tftc
Found it on second attempt. As description said, I didn't need to leave the path to find this.
Nice and easy find however had to go off a photo as the coordinates were off quite a bit
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

I own this cache and I have no idea where it is, ahem. A while ago, a helpful soul decided it had been muggled and hid a replacement somewhere that corresponded with the hint. For a while there were two caches, but now there's just the one that I didn't hide. I've searched and not found it. But others have found and logged it since then. DNF on my own cache, #lame.
What a cute little park, that even the locals didn't know about. Took a big search but found in the end. Tftc
Wow what a special place this reserve is !!!!!
Walked around enjoying all it's attributes....loved the petrified wood .....
I soon found cache due to the exact hint thanks !!!!

[green] What a day. Out on the bike again, hoping for my target of 40 caches. Wasn't looking like I was going to make it - multis, wherigos and DNFs slow you down. And I had a LOT of DNFs today - one had even been archived just a few days ago. But I got my 40, although I arrived back at the backpackers an hour later than hoped. Hot, tired, sweaty, smelly, happy. And sun burnt. Better pack the sunscreen tomorrow.
Man, Why can't I find this??? Try a different hint item. Another 10 minutes. ARRRGGGHHHH!!! Walk around aimlessly. Hey! another hint item! And there's the cache!!

beautiful day to be out caching - second find of the day. went into reserve and spent time looking around but then after searching and feeling properly, the cache was in hand. thank you for bringing me to this place.
Found it in the middle of the path so have tucked it away, hopefully in the right spot!
Times like this I'm glad this isn't Australia, though I'm sure there are probably rats down some of those holes too. Didn't take too long considering the possibilities. Tftc in a lovely little oasis away from muggle eyes (not like the one on the river I just failed at)
At last, by ignoring our GPS as well as the petrified wood hint, but concentrating our efftorts near the steps, we found the cache which had eluded us for so long. Log in good condition. We left a little bead.
Out for an afternoon stroll with Ciaran Logan who was the one to make the find. Nice wee spot. TFTC.
As I had to be in the area I thought I'd have another go at this one, only to find that the spot which my GPS insisted was on top of the cache (near steps, T-junction) has been vandalised. A large, peculiar slab which used to lie behind a tree on top of the bank is now down on the path, as are several rocks which used to support the bank. I cannot determine if the cache is still there: I did not find it. KiwiHarvs may have to do a quick inspection.
Poked around for a good half hour. Saw LOTS of possible hidey holes, and remembered log comments about wrong places and GPS's not being quite right. All I really found was empty alcohol bottles
I'll have to try again some time, this is a lovely wee park!

As the cache owner, it's clear to me now there were two containers here. I've taken the wet one home and will enjoy finding the dry one some day soon. I have no insight on whether the hint still applies.

Have looked for this one before but had no luck GPS kept leading us a merry dance. Quick find this time with a little help from Busy Paws. Log was fine. TFTC.
Though someone appears to have found the cache 28/12/2014 after the temporary disabling, we have now had two fruitless hunts. The mozzies on the other hand were delighted with our visits!
Disabled due to contradictions in the logs. Is the log wet or not? Are there perhaps 2 cache boxes at the location?
At last ! had a couple of goes at this, mugglers not helping. All dry and well. TFTC
Found the log but very very very wet. We wraped the log in another piece of paper in hope that it will dry it out abit. The kids loved this little area. TFTC
Log too wet to sign Have photos to prove I was there. A promising park but seems a bit of clearing has been going on. TFTC.

Noticed this one was available again so went for a look. What a lovely spot- and so many hidey-holes. Eventually nailed it. I brought along a plastic bag- log was all good- and now safely bagged as well. TFTC
A lovely spot, would never have known it was here without this cache. A tricky find for me, was searching in vain at an incorrect hint location that my GPS pointed to but found eventually after widening search and finding another location matching the hint. The log is fine, not too damp at all but could do with a plastic bag, sorry I didn't have one with me today. TFTC!

Came again for another attempt here - it had to be somewhere! But this time I gave up on looking at the GPS, and went solely by the hint. Spied the two hint areas I had seen and searched before... so searched them again. No luck.
Wondered on further then, and what was this?! A third hint area!! Didn't even need to search here really as the cache was literally staring at me!! - Should have expanded the search area on the previous visit too... ah well, sorted now!!

Found very quickly with the hint. Lovely spot. I love the way Christchurch has all the green areas dotted through the city.
Had a pretty good search and found a very likely contender for hiding spot but nothing within.
No problems locating the cache today. I wonder how many kids of todays generation even know what the cache container was originally used for? Thanks for the cache.
Omg After dropping daughter off to work I managed some early moring finds. The gps was a tad out so started looking but as the said I two was in the wrong area. Then a couple of muggles arrived so I casually walked off and around the bushed tracks w but did some research looking at logs. Foubd zalins photo a d arrived at the right gz. But still couldn't find it. I reckon I have poked every crevasse on that wall. I was about to give up when I spied an area I didn't think I had checked so I thought one last shot then I'll ahoot the gap but my finger tips felt something man made. Bam!! FIFD ensued amd signed the log witg photo as well. Stoked to have found this one. Tftc
A surprisingly quick find, given that I'd looked on a previous occasion without luck. This is a lovely little reserve. TFTC
Second ever find, was awesome. Didn't sign the logbook though as I'd forgotten a pen.
A very tricky wee hide that had us circling around and debating which steps it was. Then Mr Smallfamilychch told me what kind of container we were looking for and I had it in hand very quickly. TFTC #59
Yay finally have this one. I looked for it about 1 year ago when it was disabled. Nice to see it keeps coming back.
