No luck for us today. We are sure we had the right correct coordinates .Searched around the area
Couldn't find this one, despite a really good look around. reckon we had the right spot, despite some anomalies, but no joy for us today.
I went on a week long trip to Cairns to escape the Canberra region and do a little diving and some exploration with caching to keep me busy. The warm weather was refreshing after the Canberra winter. As usual after flying up there was lots of walking but it was great to be out. Day 9. After my second boat trip and some amazing diving I had another two days to explore. Today I went up the Giles range to Atherton. A nice dry day today and some good caches today.
I thought I had this one right. I had a good looking tree at GZ, but failed miserably to extract a cache.
Thanks.

Found after a bit of a stretch. Replaced soggy log with a waterproof one - if you’re careful about replacing it the next person may not need an extraction tool to get it out. Great park & multi, TFTC!0
Thought it would be a bit closer but was an easy find. The log is just a wet lump now and needs replacing. Tftc
This must have reappeared since I looked back in the wet season. Today it was exactly where I’d been looking then. Log is paper mache so unable to sign. TFTC
Nice easy to work this out and got answers to get this cache and went there wow lots of beautiful trees and quick easy find but log paper was so wet and smelly but I managed to sign on wet paper! Nice walk to there! Fav point from me. TFTC
TFTC. Nice and easy one out with the kids. Log is soaked, so couldn’t write in the log.
Came back for a second visit to this one and it exactly where I thought it was last time, got a bit braver and stood on tiptoes and found it . Tftc
Our time in FNQ is drawing to an end. So we decided to do some full on caching and left the caravan in Walkamin whilst we head out to explore Port Douglas and Cairns.
After a big caching day yesterday it was after 9am before we headed out. Another 31degrees and the humidity was rising. We headed up to Trinity beach to start the day then cached down to Gordonvale for lunch at Piefection before returning to our camp at 5.30pm.
Really enjoyed touring Cairns and being tourists using geocaching as our tour guide.
Werent sure we had the coords correct with this but all was good and took us to a spot we may not have visited today without your cache. So great work thanks.

Found the spot but not sure whether cache is in there as not wanting to delve around in the tree hollow
Spent the afternoon at Sugarworld with my family. Having worked this one out some time ago, it was good to finally turn this one into a smiley face. Cache and log in good condition. TFTC. SL.
Today we did a cache run to Cairns and this was one we found on the way, Worked out the required info for GZ and made a quick find.
Removed mushy log and replaced with new paper in zip lock bag.
Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Quick easy multi solved and found with lurch1981 and geokid. Unable to log due to mushy log paper.
Quickly solved the clues and drove to GZ car park. Cache easily found after short walk. Log is mush and couldn't extract and sign log. TFTC
Dropped in with geodad but he said its not here. He found it a while ago but no cache for now.
Dropped in today with the geoson crocodilekid for him to make the find. He looked in the right spot but no cache. I checked as i have foind it before and definitely no cache there today.
We DNF'd 2 caches today. [:(!]
[red]We spent quite some time here at around 12:07:00 PM, but we couldn't locate your cache.

So my story with this cache started about 18 months ago when I came to Cairns with Captain Terror.
We collected our clues and made our way to GZ. Nada Turns out it was missing.
I was back early today in the familiar area to finally grab this one. I made the same mistake as last time trying to approach it *SIGH*.
I got to GZ and found the cache in no time - right where I expected it. It was in good condition. Very glad to have gotten this one at long last. TFTC ZimDownUnder

Found by Geomum waiting for the water park to open, kids found the playground instead. SL, TFTC, ZimDownUnder.
A quick find on a quite Sunday morning, I could have nearly driven to GZ as there was no one else around.

Coordinates worked out and off I go in search of this one. Wasn't sure it would still be there but thankfully after a good scratch around the prize was found and in good condition. TNLN, TFTC.
Cache was replaced some time ago and so should be good to find - find logged since it was replaced. The trackables must have been muggled unfortunately.
Thanks for the nice little multi. Beautiful gardens!

Several DNFs on this one, it looks like the owner needs to pay it a check-up visit.
With Fangsoki for this one. Easy to get final co-ords and a nice final area with a super obvious GZ, but no cache to be seen.
Have to agree with others - we found a very cache-like position - but no cache Perhaps this could be disabled until the cache owner can have a chance to look at it? TFTH.
in Cairns for a few months to visit family. Great Park. Been to water park a few years ago great makeover. .
Looks like it's been muggled. Found the likely spot according to the clues but there's no cache to be found.
We were sure we had the co-ords right and the clue fit but no cache.
Found a likely spot that looks like it should have a cache in it but nothing.

Finally I get to tick this cache off. Quick find after a pleasant Sunday arvo walk to GZ. TFTC TNLN SL
Had to be in town late this afternoon so to fill in time I was keen to find this reactivated cache. After finding what I required to solve the coordinates I headed off for the find. After a quick park and walk I soon had the log out and signed. TNLN, TFTC ZimDownUnder, I enjoyed the find is such a nice spot!!

The Geokids worked out the initial puzzle and were disappointed to find the cache had been muggled. With news that the cache had been restored, the Geokids were eager to mark this one off the list. The youngest Geokid found the cache quickly - her first solo find. Thanks Zim for restoring the cache. Left Myrtle the Singing Turtle TB. TNLN TFTC SL.

Re-established the cache. Unfortunately the travel bug must have been muggled. New container, log and swaps.
Nice cavity found in the fork of a tree at the GZ, but no cache! Searched area, but still no luck. Looking at previous logs, cache hasn't been located in 18 months ... may have been muggled?!
Found site ok but alas hiding place or what I think is the hide ocupied by a large stone only. Realy liked the two cane cutters that are the first stage of this cache TFTH Garnets
Found a tree at GZ (near the church) with a beautiful big cavity in the fork for a cache, but it was full only of smelly water, tree trash, and two quite large stones. No cache here.
I wonder if the stones were put there a muggle who removed the cache and replaced it with the stones thinking that to be funny? Maybe?
Hmmmmm ... Of course the more likely explanation is that I'm barking up the wrong tree (literally)...LOL..

To quote from the movie 'Kenny'.....there was a smell inside this cache conatiner "that would outlast religion".
The contents were well marinated and peutrid. I removed the container, emptied the contents and whilst cleaning it noted a large crack in the lid that was allowing water to enter. I will source a replacement container, refurbish and replace the cache ASAP.
Until this cache is returned......don't waste your valuable time looking for it. I will advise when it has been returned.

An easy find in between rain showers. Our first cache for 2011. Took nothing and left the The Doc's Highly Addictive Geocoin.
Took a quick drive from home after work to find this one with Chatmanais (who was unsuccessful earlier today due to muggles). We located gz but had to wait a few minutes to retrieve the cache due to a local surveyor hovering nearby. Unfortunately we were unable to sign the log as it was too soggy (maintenance needed!). Replaced the cache and enjoyed our walk through the park and watching the peacocks. TFTC
Found this one today with waynecarly, i saw no need to go to the first waypoint of the cache as it was rather straightforward. This was the second time in 2 days i have been here caching. Quite a unique spot in cairns especially with all the peacocks wandering around screaming at each other think ill bring the longboard next time for a nice shady cruise around. As per previous logs there was no way to sign the logbook as it was completely drenched and smelt rather terrible to boot, emptied out what water i could but didnt have anything else prepared. Would be a good idea if there was maintenance done on this one simply to make it more pleasant for the next visitor. Cheers
Brahms6 found this one. I enjoyed the clues and the walk in the gardens. Cache was full of water. could not log an entry on the booklet. Took a little orange monster thing left a pen and a plastic armband.
on our way to Port Douglas, we solved this multi.
nice idea, unfortunately the cache is very wet, you could almost not write any more inside!!!
Thanks for showing this nice locations!

Great search for the cache. Cache is full of water and very wet. Needs maintenance urgently
We had to climb a fence to find the answer to the first waypoint as there is some construction work happening but once we had the answer the rest was easy.
What a great spot - we definately wouldnt have visited it had it not been for the cache it is a shame its not been promoted more.
Thanks

After calculating the new coordinates this was an easy find. Thanks. Container was completely dry inside, despite being submerged in water. The little information booklet has suffered some water damage earlier though, needs replacing, it's interesting to read.

Checked the canes held by the fine gentlemen, then worked out the coordinates. When I got to GZ had to be careful because there were a lot of workmen nearby. Found the cache in stealth mode and took 'Greetings from Germany' geocoin to continue its journey. This is a great park to visit. TFTC ZimDownUnder

08.30 - Interesting monument with easy math. Deserted park on this rainy morning. Found and accessed GZ despite all the fences and work in progress. Container was wet and lid so tight, could not open with my little and delicate fingers. T4TC.
Dropped by today as the kids were riding their bikes around the park.
A bit of construction is happening near the cache but it is still accessible. All the pavers have been lifted nearby and the area has been safety fenced.
Dropped off GC to keep it moving.

We managed to pull up directly in front of wpt1 where we collected the information from the two old guys while the dog just watched, did some quick maths and were off on our way to gz.We parked the car and headed off for a very pleasant walk to gz. Once the GPSr settled there was really only one place for the cache to be and our suspicions turned out to be correct. We quickly signed the book and replaced the cache as the sounds of the nearby mower were getting closer
Thanks Zimdownunder for the cache

I had worked out where GZ was going to be ages ago but we have simply not had the chance to travel north. Being school holidays the area was very very busy but lucky for us this was not the case at GZ. Mr burdair had the height to reach this one. Easy find. TNLNSL Thanks for the cache.
First multicache, but i did want to start on a easier one.

Hi all, We found this one eventually. Firstly we missed the Old Blokes with their canes because of the press of traffic. Eventually we had to park and walk back. Then we thought the clock must be around there somewhere and spent some time searching for it. As we couldn't find it we went back to the car and put the co-ordinates into Tom-tom which then took us on a tour of the town. I didn't know that our Tom-tom has suddenly developed an evangelistic temperament, but it put is right into the car park of the church, and told us, in no uncertain terms, that that was our destination. I was a bit apprehensive about driving through heavy traffic after that I can tell you. Any how we soon sorted out a more probably cache site than the altar and then the find was reasonably easy.
Can't remember if we made any swaps - I was probably still worrying about that church visit.
Cheers, and Good Hunting! Dan.

Found this one quite easily. It amazes me that a cache can be in such a public area, yet still remain undisturbed.
A brand new cache is in place (with thanks to Whatsamap) and hopefully this one will be water resistant. The cache is restocked with a new log and new swaps. Please swap with simlar standard items.
Forgot to add to our first log. This cache needs major maintenance- the log book has basically been destroyed by water and the info sheet w.r.t. geo-caches has rotted away. Suggest that waterproof tape be put around the thread to the cache or a different container be used.
I have removed the cache for maintenance. I am going to try and find a more waterproof cache - this one was kindly placed by Liz and Bruce when the other one was muggled.
Suggest that you take your togs and a towel if you have young cachers with you or if you are simply young at heart. Really nice location. Couldn't write in log as too wet. TFTF.
What a wonderful place to hide a cache.
Found this one on a rainy day, not to many people around.
The cache container was completely under water and the log is absolutely sodden. Couldn't really dry it out due to the day and couldn't sign log.
Suggest a water tight container needs to be used for this hide if it's to stay in the same place.
