Fallen trees and a recent burn seem to have claimed this one.

Goagain is right, the road that previous cachers have used is closed at the moment, and has been since around April, going by the info sheet on the gate. I parked at s37 16.558 e143 15.017 and walked the ~550m to the cache, an easy walk.
Struck many closed roads today, and the final road to this cache is now gated and management vehicles only on a permanent basis. The walk is easy and worth the effort to get to a beaut area of safe scrambling rocks - good for the kids to have safe climbing fun. Thanks for this one 2Dudez.
Always more challenging when you are new to an area. Started up the track and hoped it was the right one - the gps indicated it was close to being right and indeed it was. We needed to walk the last 700m as the track was closed. Lovely views and scenery. Thanks 2Dudez
Seasonal road closures thwarted a direct 4 WD approach. However, parked at S 37 16.549 E 143 15.025 and walked the last 700 or so metres (very easy) to GZ for a ready find and then back again. In fact, really enjoyed the walk rather the drive as you obtain a very brief appreciation of the majesty of the forest, its sounds and its flora/fauna - the air was crisp and bracing, happily so. Collected the TB that had been dropped in May and will take the TB to a Melbourne suburban location for its on-going journey. With Dylan 7a. Thank you to '2Dudez' for the cache (in good nick) and its well thought out location.

While the GPSr was still deciding which way to point I already had the cache in my hands. Wow :surprise: no find for 4 months now. Well it didn't hurt the cache.

Our last cache for the day.
Had a great time in the bush getting the fourby dirty again after washing it last weekend.

This was an interesting one for us to find LOL...found another cache up near TV tower and decided we would walk to find this one...ummm...not a good idea. Several kilometres and walking through some soaking rain ..uphills and down again...and the odd bracken...we decided to head back to the car and resume search via 4 wheels...
Great location ...really nice spot...so glad when we found it i can tell you! Oh well...got about a months worth of excercise in just one day...so it cant be all that bad
We did this in a 2WD and the tracks were fine...but then I have a tendency to take my car anywhere

The tresure has been found! It was mere, than few metres from our car, as the rd has been closed. It;s ok, the walk is marvelous. Thanks.
Found today after a bit of a rock scramble we soon had the cache in hand as we sat there admiring the silence a few seconds later that was all lost as 6 motorbikes came racing around the corner all friendly enough and gave a wave as they passed. In worker Out Nil. TFTC SL
Never been down these tracks before - good area to mountain bike. Found on an afternoon drive through to Elmshurst. Thanks 2Dudez.
6th cache for the day and 4th 2Dudez cache and find # 398( Getting close now). Navigated OK today as got lost on a previous visit. Once at GZ a quick find.
TFTC 2 Dudez.
Now a bit of 4wd to come.

What a delightful little area! A nice easy find in the first place I looked. TNLN. Many thanks. I don't know this area very well at all but little spots hidden away like this certainly motivate one to come back and explore further.
Another nice quick and easy find in a great area. Thanks again to 2Dudez for the cache.
last cache before we head back to camp, this is a great area and a great place to hide a cache, walked into a prickle bush though and had itchy legs for a while after but it was worth it.
Thanks 2Dudez

Found at 4.10pm GAFF5 in the company of The Grovers. The last cache for the day as we were now looking forward to getting back to camp and joining the group for happy hour. This layout reminded us of a cache along the McDonald Ranges in the NT, however there you had to drive off the road to the edge of the range for about 1 km and then climb up the ridge in the searing heat! Thanks 2Dudez.
Found by edmil & maddie in the company of kinkell1 & Tilley bug (geodog). Second cache for the day. I searched for cache, Maddie collected wood; mmm better than the rocks she usually collects. After a couple of dead ends I finally located the cache. log was signed but no swap was made. Thanks for the Cache.
Found this one with Edmil and Maddie on my first ever 4WD trip.

Found in conjunction with Oenze, Sandar10 and Highrod as part of our Mulled on the Mountain V2 Saturday afternoon jaunt. An interesting drive through the forest lead by Oenze, ending in a quick find by Oenze and MrP.
My GPSr had the GZ about 10m east of the cache site on the satellites today.
TNLN..SL TFTH 2Dudez.

Found with all geoGirls, Eagle and family at 2:40PM
Great tracks and views.

Sometimes, even when you can see the cache location from the road, it seems to take forever to get there THEN ya gotta get back again. TFTC

Well we started out the day with a caravan muster at Lexton, but as everybody seemed content to socialise or snooze away the day in an attempt to avoid the heat, so we decided that an air-conditioned fourby would be best to keep us cool. (Especially as there are caches close by that we can search for.)
When we parked the car next to GZ we were very surprised at how cool this spot is, compared to the other places we have been today.

After completing my walk on the Beeripmo Track I drove up the mountain to find a few more caches. This was the first.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Found by Mary & David at 1045. Should be safe from muggles here. We continued on from our previous find. Took a while to get here, after stopping along the way to evict Mary's leech hitchhiker from her ankle (a squirt of Bushmans or Aerogard is the best remedy we know). A few spikes of heath are about, as well as several types of wattle. TNLN. Our thanks again to 2Dudez.
My navigation to this cache was not the best and I had more of a tour of the tracks than I needed
Once at GZ though the slippery dip that needed climbing was quickly spotted. Thus a route to the top as circuitous as my drive here ensued
Thanks for another lovely forest stop today [^]

Found with the others from the Mulled Event while out trying some of the tracks in the area.

We came to this cache from Tower of Power with fullonphil and hondo222 whilst waiting muggle 4wd's to leave. The cache was located in the first place that fullonphil looked while we were still on our way to gz
TNLNSL and admired the local geography before heading back to the Tower of Power
Thanks again 2dudez

Found in the company of Grumblebums, on a wonderful cold drizzly day, heck who needs sunshine to go geocaching !!
We tried to out do each other in seeing who could get the muddiest, Peter from Grumblebums won. He also had the hardest job getting his 4x4 clean again.
A great cache - well done 2 Dudez, we are really looking forward to your next cache hides, keep up the great work.
Took: red rescue car.
Left: Chinese charm & fluro glow stick.

Was very slippery and cold but found easy. Good cache guys. "grumblebums"

Found by Roma and Max.
We planned an early start this morning and woke to the sound of heavy rain on our roof!
However a check on the internet indicated only the possibility of showers in our intended search area, so we decided to give it a go. This turned out to be the correct decision as we dodged the inclement weather for the rest of the day. However the final approach to this cache was made at a snails pace in heavy fog.
Good co-ordinates made for an easy find.
In: One of our usual Mondo Figurines, although checking our Mondos further down the track we now think we may not have left one. Just in case, we left 2 at your Ferntree cache.
Out: Man in the Moon Bottle Stopper.
Thanks 2 Dudez for this well hidden cache.
