Recording my BIG disappointment - heading to Tazzie later this year, and had this EC on my list....
Love Earth caches - they take us to wonderful places, teach us or reinforce past learnings and let us move on without any search damage that a regular cache can encourage.

Time has come to put this cache to a rest as in the last few months more and more people did not bother to fullfill the logging requirement correctly.
It was good to revisit The Tasman Arch after nearly 40 years - still a marvel. This find is logged with permission of the owner. TFTC Aradilla
Found with the Wandering Dragons, but our answers were not correct, so we are marking this as a DNF, as that is the right thing to do. I hope to be back someday.

Found with Violet Butterfly. Beautiful area, tough questions. Owner of the cache said our answers were incorrect, however, so we have changed this from a found to a DNF. We hope to return in 10 years and get the right answers then. Thanks for the challenge!

Found while caching in the area, have visited here BC so nice to return for a cache. The Tasman Peninsula has some fascinating formations and this is one of the highlights. Have emailed Ardilla with required info thanks.
Called out to this after visiting Port Arthur historic site. It is an amazing coast line and the largest of this type of feature I can recall seeing. Took a few photos before walking down to the Devils Kitchen which was good but not quite as good as the Arch.

Will upload photos when we return home and can get them off the camera.

After parking the caravan at a property at Taranna ($10 per night for self contained vehicles) we made our way out to do some caching. This was one we targetted and enjoyed. This piece of coast has so many scenic wonders and most enjoyable. Thanks Aradilla
Amazing coast around here - collected answers, photos which will send on on return to Adelaide on 15th. Devil's Kitchen amazing also.

Stopped off here along with Redgums on our way to Port Arthur. Enjoyed all the little walks and great coastal scenery. Answers to tasks have been emailed for approval.
Luckily we visited this site the day before the rain started.

Found by Team Ladava while on a week in Tasmania with some non-caching friends from W.A.
This remarkable geological feature was one of the tourist spots we had planned to visit so our friends took pity on us and our withdrawal from our Geocaching addiction and we spent a little extra time taking the necessary photos to log this cache.
Logged with kind permission from the owner.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching.
Our thanks to Aradilla for the cache at this location.

Visited this area with Old Boots in the campervan after a trip down to Port Arthur. Loved this stretch of coastline a definate highlight of our tour. The track to Devils Kitchen was comfortable with my walking stick. There weren't many muggles around that side they all seemed content to stay on the carpark side. The tasks I found difficult. TFTC Greetings from New Zealand.
WOW - What an incredible place. We probably would have come here anyway but the lure of an earthcache ensured that we did. We spent quite a while looking around and completing the tasks. Thanks for this great cache.
On a long weekend trip with fitzy_1965 to Tassie. Driving to Port Arthur and finding a few caches along the way.
This is a beautiful place, thanks so much for bringing us here. Fitzy has emailed the info required previously.

Thoroughly enjoyed our drive to Port Arthur today as it gave us the opportunity to 'grab' some caches also. We've been to Port Arthur before but somehow we've not known about this Tasman Arch until we found out an Earthcache was here. Thanks for organizing the Earthcache Aradilla to bring us here. We had a great visit, learned a lot, and introduced a young German couple to Geocaching. Our granddaughter was fascinated by the Arch and the Devil's Kitchen.
We've emailed the cache 'owners' our answers and received permission to log our 'find'. TFTC!!

I was here 2 days ago not knowing about the cache. But I came to the area again today to see the Tassie Devil feeding nearby. This is a nice area, and indeed a good site for an earth cache (quite close to another equally worthwhile earthcache).

Found while visiting the Tasman Peninsular. Amazing to see the different stages of erosion. The whole coastline seems to be very fascinating on the Peninsular. Thanks for the geology lesson. Fascinating place. TFTC
No Optus reception in the area. Luckily I remembered the other pictures and took plenty to be able to count and measure.
Very wet day, very hard to count layers. Geokids had fun jumping in the puddles. Our first Earthcache TFTC>

Our first ever earth cache. After much debate about layers we took a couple of photos to figure it out later. We measured the distance and got the geo-kid to take the photo with the iphone that we were caching with. Beautiful place we came through her years ago when the kids were little and they still remembered it. Rather a cool day but still a heap of people around. Have now downloaded the photos and am sending one through.
Came here today with Bedmaker.
This is such a beautiful area of Tasmania. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and the weather was perfect!
Answers to the questions are on their way to the owner.

Visited here with TassieGirl13.
Our first cache for the last day of 2010.
Had a good look around at the Arch and all the other nearby features.
We visited the lookout and were rewarded with some spectacular views on a very clear day.
Pity the tide wasn't a little higher at the time as we would love to have seen more water down below.
Email with the answers are on the way.

Another fantastic spot that we have not visited since our honeymoon many years ago. This time, with the Geokids in tow, managed to meander past all the muggles today (was the perfect day to be out) and get a good look at the wonder ful sights on offer.
Email dispatched with what we hope is the correct info. Many thanks for the cache!

We are on an “Escaping Christmas” and “Geocaching” holiday in Tasmania. We found this on our way to Port Arthur. What a spectacular formation. We have sent the required information to the cache owner and have posted a picture of us and our GPS.
We enjoyed our wander around the area, to the lookout and the kitchen -all very interesting. Then two bus loads of school kids arrived and it changed to a push and shove to get to the fence.
Great spot for a cache!

657 - Arrived at this one on a wonderfully still morning at around 10:30am. Took the required photographs and made an estimate of the answers. Then we went for a walk to check out Devils Kitchen and the Lookout looking along the magnificent coastline. Simply wonderful. Returned to GZ to make another estimate of the answers as our GPS was damaged yesterday and the top half of the screen is unreadable so the distance markings are not available. Email with pictures sent to the cache owner as requested. TFTC and for pointing out this lovely area Aradilla.
Stopped in with the missus during our last visit to Tassie. Enjoyed the scenery and the many similar features along this section of coastline.

This was a rather special place for me to come today as I had not visited the arch nor the Devil's kitchen since 1974 when
I was down here on a school trip.
Not much has changed, the arch is still standing but the place seems a bit more developed these days.
After admiring the depths, I did my calculations and took my own photo.

We dropped by here at around 12:30 for a look. I still remember the first time I saw the Arch way back in '76. It was awe inspiring then and still is now. What a sensational spot .
As often happens with us for EarthCaches though, we got one of the answers wrong first up . Thankfully, the learning is part of the beauty of EarthCaches and we finally ended up with the nod for the log .
Took more memories, LN. Many thanks Aradilla.

I have been to this feature more times than I care to remember. Looked in more detail today but found at least the first request difficult to complete. My grandson (18 months) had his first visit here and was duly impressed by the splendour and depth of the arch. Thanks for the reason to visit.
After doing two other caches this morning, Tasmans Arch is our third
cache on our way north. The parking lot was an easy find, the answers
to the questions were more difficult to find. We followed the advice and
photographed the arch so we could do the counting at home .....
The answers requested are mailed.
The photo near the arch was the easiest part of the cache !
Thanks for this wonderful natural phenomenon.

This was a nice place to stop on the way back to Hobart from Port Arthur. After running out to the lookout for the 3rd time as I hadn't read all of the "To-do" list, I had a moment to stop and take in the atmosphere, both here and at the blowhole further down the road.
The views here are spectacular.

Visited this on our Tassie trip with Indiana08 and saraci.,jaee. It was our second visit to this spectacular geological feature. It reminds us of our beloved Great Ocean Road.
We wonder if this counting of layers by geocachers is part of a community surveillance project of the erosion process of the arch? If that is the case, we can report that since our last visit, 9 months ago, no visible layer has been lost.

Enjoyed the walk around the area. Goblindust will post our picture. Email has been sent. Thanks!
I stood looking at the arch at lunch time and found myself thinking about hamburgers
They are made up of layers too [:o)]
It must have been the hypnotic actions of the waves under the arch that got me into that trance
I wandered around and took some photos and marvelled some more at the views along the coast.
There's geology everywhere you look

Earth caches are always quite interesting and this was no exception, very neat feature. Thanks for bringing us to it and adding to our depth of understanding. Hopefully my answers weren't undermined by my ability to decern layers and luckily the arch did not transform into a second devils garden while we were perched on top. Thanks for the fun.

Aradilla. So kewl to do one of your caches while I was here on holiday. My TB, Sydney was having so much fun without me I had to come and retrieve him personally. You did such a wonderful job hosting him! I don't know if I totally met your requirements of logging this cache, but I will send a picture and tell you how many layers I counted. Down Tassie way. Doin' the tourist thing. Took the chance to "find" my first earth cache.
A cold blowy day with heavy cloud cover and the everpresent threat of some serious rain didn't stop us from getting out of the geo-hire-mobile and taking a walk in the scrub to get the required info.
Email sent to the owner and, hopefully, we'll get a happy reply in the next few days.

This great spot is one of many fascinating geological spots in this area, visited with Tealby, Biggles303, Mr Urch and geogma. We spent a most enjoyable day (only one, sadly) sightseeing around this peninsular. Thanks very much for the geo-lesson, Aradilla.
Great spot - a really interesting site. Makes me feel a little anxious when I look over the edge though!
Visited this EarthCache with urch1949 & Biggles303. Only one group photo was taken because we were running out of space on the camera & there are just so many interesting things to take photos of. Therefore I have included the photo for all of us with my listing.
Thanks for the information - I'm now one step closer to my Gold EarthCache Master pin (see www.earthcache.org for more details).
