Spent a pleasant day's caching up around Morgan, enjoying driving the backtracks, visiting old cemeteries, local points of interest and some scenic locations. Made the short walk to GZ, admiring the historic, well-crafted stone tank from afar. Thanks for the cache Bowz2!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Passing through on the way home to Melbourne from work in SA. An interesting stop with not much to show for the grand plans.
An early morning was planned with gridge98 and LíB heading north to grab caches along the way not knowing where we would end up. We had a fun day and found ourselves in Morgan for some lunch before heading back via some out of the way caches that we all hadn't been to. [^]
Have enjoyed finding all these caches out here.
Thanks for the cache Bowz2.

Thanks to the caching community to ensure we have plenty to search for. If it were not for them, we would not be at this hide today.

On our way from Renmark to Coffin Bay. Stopped in for this cache on the way to rescue the trackable that had been left in there for 18 months. However there was no trackable there! Loads of prickles in the area though and ended up with two feet filled with prickles. TFTC
always amazed at the thought of how hard the early settlers must have had it in places like this
Windy day - what's new really :p besides that the weather was nice, a great cache and what a fantastic hiding spot

Found on a great day out caching with CPwanderer and hevwalker. The weather was perfect and the company even better.
Another interesting location. This is what I like about country caching the historic locations that we might never have found otherwise. Nice sized cache too in a neat hidey hole.

Found on a great day out in the mid north with Gizmos Gang and hevwalker!! We started in the Brookfield Conservation Park ..... worked our way up to Morgan and across to Burra via the backroads near Worlds End. We then ended up in Hallett as the sun was setting. Absolutely perfect weather and we did some outstanding caches, saw some great scenery and visited some historic spots.
Interesting location and a great cache ..... a favourite!!

We passed this cache while enroute to the Eyre Peninsula just over a week ago without stopping so on our return journey and again traveling along this section of the Goyder Hwy we decided to stop to check out the cache. I suppose those water tanks on the hill further east in the distance are to where the artesian water initially gets pumped to and stored, replacing the now derelict holding "pool" next to the pump, before being distributed to the various stock feeding troughs in the distance.
I wonder if the land back when Florieton was first proposed was as desolate as it appears now, or did the poor farming practices of past years lead to it's decline. Mind you though, looking at the state of our major rivers and I wonder if we've learnt anything!

After backtracking a little early this morning to look for some moveables we missed yesterday, we travelled from Renmark to Port Wakefield via Burra, looking for caches along the way. For much of the drive we could see many different aspects of the Murray River from both river bank and elevated positions. It was another really enjoyable day. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Bowz2 for the cache.
On our way to Morgan we picked up a few caches. Found this
great sized cache and left our Pathtag for the next finder to keep.

We had parted company with Goodlook now and were again travelling solo heading towards Burra,
We really enjoyed the information on the cache page about how a town cab be without being, at least they got a few years out of the school. We checked out the ruins for ghosts as we approached gz but couldn't see any and wondered what great stories these walls could tell if they could talk.
At least the cache was not an apparition and was found right where we thought that it would be, a nice sized cache that now contains our name in the log.
Thanks Bowz2 for the cache and the info.

Yet another town that never was. Proposing new towns must have been quite a popular thing for the government to do all those years ago!

Found by Mary & David at 1500. The country looks pretty green. Such beautiful stone work. Great to see a decently sized cache. Our thanks to Bowz2.
A quick and easy find after checking out the old tank. A good sized cache. Getting dusk so decided to stay in Burra for the night.
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!
Thanks Bowz2 for placing this cache.

Was able to drive almost to the cache. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.
TFTC,
We stayed at Taylorville on the Murray last night and collected caches today as we go West for our last day. Tomorrow we head North. Added a photo to show the Guard who watched our car while we went to do the cache.
We have completed our visits to the ACT, Snowy's, Dandenong, National Riley Rally on Philip Island, a quick stop near Geelong, some of the Grampians, the area around Robe and share the beginning of a 50th celebration with a friend on the Murray.
Now it's off to the Red Center Experience GC6825Z before returning home with skibum1 from America via Broken Hill, Lightning Ridge, Killcoy and Armidale.
Visited a group of trackables that will be left at the Alice Springs Event.

A big cache. I walked over to check out the stone built...a water storage perhaps? There is a downed windmill, which appears to have been replaced with solar panels. This and protruding pipes indicate this.
An eagle flew overhead chased by other birds. Then it flopped down between bushes. I wonder if it saw something to eat.

Currently returning to Vic from WA in company with Geobet&tor. With thanks for the cache from Angus the great GeoWestie and his Carer who are grey (and white) nomads in our tenth year on the road.
Interesting spot. TFTC. Tor and Betsy, the travelling Westies roaming WA at present. We are from Oxenford near the Gold Coast in Queensland and thoroughly enjoying the West.
