Ventured out to his one as I remember being unable to access it and it has always played on my mind. Was pleased to find that access is now open and the cache is still in place after 3 years. Signed the log and took a photo of the marbles nearby. Not sure if you are able to enable a cache once it has been archived? TFTC

26-Mar-11
Archiving this one, access restrictions are too variable to make it viable.

08-Oct-10
Alas the access road to the cache is still closed although there haven't been any indications of harvesting for some time now.

12-Apr-10
Forests NSW are currently harvesting timber in this area and the GZ is inaccessible. There is a $2200 fine if unauthorised persons are found in this area. Will re-enable when the area is available again (which may be up to 2-3 months).

09-Apr-10
Was in the area again and still can't get to this one. Even tried a back entry from the south forest but the $2200 fine for entering a closed forest area seemed a little steep to me. Hopefully this is not a permanent closure and we will one day be able to visit the marbles.

29-Jan-10
Passed this way for the second time since the Martin Bird Lane fire and it is still closed.

26-Jan-10
went to find and road still closed. will try again later.

15-Jan-10
Could not get to this one due to a closed road sign (since the fires in this area?). The ranger was also ever present so did not want to venture in to grab the cache. Another day.

I made the drive and trek into gz and was glad I did as this is an interesting area well worth a cache. Thanks to Team AAA for putting one here.

This was an impressive spot.
The marbles just stood there, stoic, as I bounced around like a marble in a pnball machine; Looking for the cache of course.
AWESOME feature, thanks for sharing the locale.
And thanks for the cache.

Enjoyed the explore in this neck of the woods. There we were by ourselves, parked in the middle of the track and all peering out the car windows in the cache location when we realised someone else was in our wilderness and they wanted to get past. Hmph.

Moved the McPhan-mobile, clambered around the hillside and found some suitable marbles. Thanks Team AAA - a neat spot.

28-Mar-09
Funny how everything seems so clear at the time of finding a cache - I do remember this one well because it was a nice drive in (and fun scramble across some rocks). But what did I mean when I entered 'rive' into Field Notes?? I think that meant 'drive'...well that really narrows it down Red Face

Found with RexTrex and McPhan, then we had more trouble finding our way out again (sacked as navigator I think!!) Thanks Team AAA.

28-Mar-09
That one certainly got the heart pumping! Marcus Vitruvius and I ventured down the gully to make an easy find before making the steep ascent back to the car. TNLN and TFTC.

1897. Round and round we go, where we'll head off from nobody knows. In one way after RexTrex found a way through the blackberries. Then he did a passable impersonation of Mrs Winglen's other half and left us in the dust. A quick find and log and then a much easier track out. It appears I chose a pretty good spot to park as we were at the same level as the cache.

TFTC and the bush walk albeit short.

28-Mar-09
Found at 1015. Parked about 100m from the cache, and FarmerFrentzen and I made the quick walk down to GZ, made the find, and then the quick dash up again. Thanks for the exercise.

Cheers.

Rode bike from Maquarie Woods camp area, exhausted by the time I returned, easy find. Good cache, thanks.

19-Jan-09
Still picking burrs out of my socks! TFTC

This gets my vote for the cache least likely to be muggled. Lots of hiding places near GZ - also glad to find our way back to the highway.

1795.

At last a normal sized container in the bush! A nice little geological site.

Thanks Team AAA for sharing the location with us.

A quick stop on the way to Bathurst, we found this one quite quickly near the tom thumbs. Im glad we did, the flies were unbearable. #50.

07-Sep-08
After huffing and puffing down the hill. found the cache after some mis reading on the GPS. Then it was a near death experience to climb the hill back to the car!!!

07-Sep-08
I would have died there if there wasn't any witnessing to finding the cache after the easier descent from the car. The return however was a near dead huff and puff back to the car! With a Geo newbee in tow, I wasn't yet to past on to the great geohunt in the sky. Not with more geocaches to find!

23-May-08

29-Apr-08
Once I found the right track, I found the Marbles and it was a quick walk down to an easy find.

Hanjac clan spent time trying to find this and youngest geo kid took pleasure in trying to explain perseverance. Hanjac found much to alls delight. took mouse, left dolphin. Great spot, neat fun.

20-Aug-07
Had the track taped off today 900m short of GZ. No signs or anything so I doubt it is official. Still it was late so I thought I would leave it for another day

27-Jul-07
It sure is a great area for a bit of peace and quiet Smile
I took a while to find the cache, one eye searching and the other watching that the marble didn't start rolling down the hill toward me [:o]
TFTC.

What a day for the Routers! earlier 4 virgins in the wild ! then to top it all off we united as 4 and headed for this cache to be our 900th find. After taking some roads that weren't on the screen and some that were we parked at the closest and off we went, Going to is far easier than the return specially in the dark. Only answering the cache name on the return trip under torch light!
A great cache location for our 900 as not far away is the first cache that we the Scenic Routers hide, so thanx AAA for a A+ cache for us the celebrate our milestone!

04-Jul-07
Forgot TB drop!

04-Jul-07
GPS took us to the hill driectly above GZ. Must have only just missed the Routers as the tracks looked fresh. We're sure it is a beautiful place here in the daylight but in the dark we were quickly down and up. Took TB.

23-Jun-07
A nice drive around the forest, a little slippery but adds to the experience. Signal bouncing around a bit down the bottom but found anyway.

Enjoyed this little detour, and nice to get a AAA cache on the first attempt for a change.

28-May-07
Curly's grandson's christaining took our attentions elsewhere! Looks as though we best stay on our toes from now but, Well done guys.

27-May-07
We don't usually get a chance to check for new caches on a Sunday so it was just by luck that we noticed this one and with so many keen cachers around didn't get our hopes up about being first so that was a bonus. A steep hill but a great spot, we didn't realise there was so much to the Woods. TFTC Took Coin

27-May-07
Outstanding natural feature near cache. I must have just missed out on the FTF. Good luck to the cacher that beat me. There is a nice little workout on the way back to the road. Took glow stick and left a mouse shaped door stop. Also left a TB called Cobber. SL TFTC
