We read the previous finders log and didn't even bother looking for this cache.
It needs fixing before anyone comes to find it.

It is amazing how long the grass is around the plaque.
It definitely had me thinking I was in the wrong spot for a while.
After that a lovely walk to the cache.
Unfortunately the area there has been completely submerged I think.
The cache was buried and mud covered and full of water.
Of course the logbook was a sodden useless mess and the entire cache needs urgent maintenance.
Really enjoyed this one otherwise.
Thanks Ajax101.

First of only 2 FFTD while we were down at Port Elliot for the week. I would like to say that it was a quick find, limited time for the day I resorted to sprinting across a nearby no entry green. TNLNSL. TFTC.

4th find of the day and 1837th total find at 16:05.

It's not often that we get to go caching this far from home, but as we are both very fortunate to have a couple of weeks off - - -. By good planning or design this cache was on our list.

We wonder what the minister would think if he revisited the site today. It seems that this plaque is destined to become another forgotten piece of history overgrown with weeds.

We really enjoyed the circuit walk, a very peaceful oasis.

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks ajax101 for the cache.

Normally, this would have been a lovely walk for a sunny day. With my best friend's wedding coming up however, sun was the thing I was trying to avoid! Red sunburn would clash terribly with the turquoise bridesmaid dresses. No matter. It was still a lovely walk, and I didn't get burnt! (I did manage to climb the stiles in a close fitting skirt, but that's another story).

Given that I spend a fair amount of time down here in the winter for footy, and given how close Encounter Bay oval is, its only natural that I started this one a long time ago.

Today we were down in Victor for the day, and took the opportunity to grab WP2. Well after a brief moment, and a couple of u turns, we apologised to each other, and made our way to WP2. When we got there we thought we must have been at GZ not WP2, but then we spotted a rock. Ahh there is a plaque there. Why on earth would you put that here!

Since GZ was only another 500m as the crow flies, we though why not knock this one off now since it's such a nice day. After a zig and a zag following the fence line, we found ourselves in a rather unexpected place. None the less we kept following the track until we hit the 30m mark. A few meters from GZ A spotted the cache.

Surprising to see that this one had been visited so much this weekend.

Thanks for the different walk, in an area that I didn't even know was there. A very nice and interesting trail

What a convoluted find! Great fun and an excellent way to see a part of Victor that I had no idea even existed. TFTC. Traded some bits 4 bobs.

Got to Car park 1, walked to WP1, looked and looked and looked for plaque but couldn't find it. Went back to car and rechecked coords and yes they were right. Walked back to where co ords told me the plaque was, looked and looked and looked and looked again! Eventually did find it co-ords were spot on. (Must trust my faithful GPS more)!
Interesting walk to cache. TN LN TFTC

Suprised a 3ft snake. Black colour. Tended to hover after that. Especially around GZ. Nice area. Thanks for the cache guys.

Great walk, enjoyed seeing native animals. Saw a Tawny Mouth Owl and had to fight off kangaroos and Skinks to get to Cache. As a new member Caching with TeamMinx, I thoroughly enjoyed the find. Thank you very much.
Took Dalmation McDonalds Dog and left Bung Eyed Shark keyring.

A lovely day to be out caching. Enjoyed the stroll and soon located the cache at GZ.

28-Nov-08
Who in their right mind would place a plaque in such a silly location only to be read by the ocasional geocacher. We parked on the west side of the road and then made a real mess of getting to the cache location which we eventually found.

I couldn't work out where the plaque was for Waypoint 1 as silly me wasn't following my GPS because I thought the plaque would be on a trail or on the bridge. So after walking around various trails and looking on the top of the bridge, I eventually spotted the plaque in amongst all the growth around the trails whilst standing on the bridge! Cant work out why they would put a plaque in a spot like that, but anyway.. While I was sitting on the trail 3 clydedales with their owner came along so I quickly had to walk off before I got run over! After working out the second co-ordinates I found the cache with ease! Another spot I never knew existed! Dropped off 'Elvis' TB. TFTC

Interesting location. Bring an apple for the clydesdale grazing by the trail. No, not the clydesdales on the other side of the fence, the one on the same side as you 1/2 way to the cache. He came to see if I had treats to eat and started following me down the trail! He's friendly of course. Left CAM geocoin. Thanks! (Sue-Cat)

Enjoyed this quick multi and the walk to GZ. It's geo poochs 8th birthday to day so we were treating him to a day of pooch friendly caching. Co-ords spot on!

We missed the plaque where we were supposed to collect information from and were well on the walk - so after realizing the error of our ways we backtracked got what we needed and then retraced our steps. We enjoyed the walk to gz and finding the cache caused us no problems. TNLN. Thanks ajax101

I started this one some time ago and decided to finish the journey today. No Four's heard as I ventured around this place and then in and onto the Inman locale. Didn't need to Ring anyone either. Big Grin

Clear skies to Ajax from TeamAstro. [^]

We started this one back in the summer time, but because of the long grass decided to wait for cooler weather (it has rained today). A brilliant location that took a long time to find to the point of almost giving up.Big Grin Moral of the story, trust your GPS. Left a miniature sugar bowl and retrieved the travel bug. Many thanks for a pleasant walk.

We searched high and low in the river bed but could not find this one.. We are pretty sure we got the coordinates right but you never know, maybe we didn't. It was dark when we were searching so it may be easier in the day??? Enjoyed the fright that the clydesdales gave us when they came running towards us in the dark. We fed them some grass and patted them. They are lovely. We will add this to our watchlist and try again once it has been found.

30-Mar-08
Accompanied with Everlasting. Our friend Joan joined us for the day. At the start we made wrong turn but we eventually found the monument, after that we found a cache without any problem. I dropped TB "Troop 185". We really enjoyed walked along the track and saw some clydesdales. Thanks for the cache. Smile

Found the cache at 5pm. Hooray!!! found the cache... after search for WP1 give us scratching our heads for a while - sure I agreed with NIBS's comment. We real enjoyed walk along to the cache... saw the kookaburra and horses. Love it. No swap. Thanks ajax101 for organising the cache and hunt.

Nice walk but a bit overgrown in parts but a great location at finish.

23-Mar-08
The initial co-ords had us scratching our heads for a while. There’s supposed to be a plaque here somewhere? My God! It IS there but you’d only EVER find it with a GPS!! That was money well spent, wasn’t it? Surprised
The walk to GZ was very pleasant and we stopped and spent some time with the Clydesdales on the way past. They really are beautiful and magnificent animals [^].
The final location of GZ was a very pleasant experience, although heavy rains will see this one gone in a flash. No swaps but dropped off a geocoin that wants to make its way to Europe.
Thanks for bringing us here Ajax. Great cache Big Grin

What a great little spot. We really enjoyed the challenge of finding the parking spot and then the mid point. Lovely scenery too. After a bit of a false start and with a poor lock on ground zero it was just great to find the reward at the end. If we'd had a TB we would have left it as we thought this was really worth doing.Glad we had the time today to enjoy it. Took orange squeezer and left Minnie Mouse. TFTC

Found at 18:45. Our first cache of the year, and our 1001st cache find. It might have been our 1000th find yesterday, but it was so hot, no-one wanted to go for a walk.
Round and round to find the plaque. I wonder what the Minister thinks of his plaque being in the undergrowth?
A lovely walk, especially now it has cooled down a bit. We'll have to remember this place.

30-Dec-07
This is an interesting area. Found this with some mates.
The first point is difficult to find as the surrounds have become overgrown. I only spotted it when I climbed up on the bridge. This is a bit dangerous as it is a 100km roadway. Saw the Clydesdales.

05-Dec-07
Called past here a couple of weeks ago & got all the numbers but I didn't have time for the walk Sad
Today however it was the perfect weather for a wander in the sunshine Big Grin
A very nice little area to explore for a while.
Could be fun in the middle of winter Twisted
Cache was quickly located & grabbed the smiley geocoin.
Cheers Ajax101, definately a fun spot.

Hardest part of this was finding the plaque. What a place for it to be. Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the cache - what lovely clydesdales. Took a ball and left a horse (unfortunately not a clydesdale) and a klem bear. Thanks ajax101 for showing us a place that we normally just drive past.

5th of 10 finds today...An interesting multi and an unusual place for a monument I must say... nice walk to WP1 and I enjoyed seeing the Clydie's home on the way past...TFTC

Found with Postiegirl during our 2007 Fluro caching blitz. An enjoyable little multi around the Inman. We were quickly able to work out the starting point but had some issues deciding where to start for the attempt to GZ. Worked it out in the end. Took Initial point coin.

Reading up on this cache whilst sitting in Woolies carpark & Ajax walks past, how freaky was that.
Nice walk along the river today, cache found easily.

4th of 4 finds on a quick trip out between coats of paint(yes painting another house now!) Big GrinBig Grin
Still managed a bronze on this one too!!
Co-ords were spot on, but god knows how it was found in the 1st place!!
A nice walk past the clydesdales, and through the bush on the way back! Must've missed the turn on the way there.
TNSL Left a magnet
Thanks
This completes, again, all the cache on the Fleaurieau Pen! Apart from the ones that require across water, or under water travel, 5 in all!

Found 1620 hrs.
We think a well-deserved silver for this one, and assume the Minister didn't have to wade through the vegetation that now almost obscures the plaque!
After a bit of roaming around we found the trail to the GX. Then, hunting around for a while, we located the cache in spite of bad satloc.
Thanks Ajax101 for a challenging cache and taking us to an area we hadn't visited before.

Wahoo FTF Big GrinBig Grin...Yeah Wright AJAX!! Wink
No promise of Maccas this morning. Just had to go out for a "quick cache" he says...No time for coffee he says...I know where it is he says....[|)] HMMMPH
First had to find the plaque!!! Dodgy sat locs added to the frustration.
Lots of strange looks from the dog weilding Grey Nomads, as we wandered about looking for the plaque. One dared to ask us if we were lost... how embarrassing Red Face..but found it eventually.Cool
Strolled along the trail to GZ.
Lots of birds this morning.
Mr Nomad remembers riding his pushy along here, when the Tram draught horses were housed in these parts. They would thunder up from behind, scare the living daylights out of him, and stick their big fuzzy noses on his bike. The get away was not always easy.Surprised
Once again. A place to be remembered. [^]
A well thought out cache AJAX. Good to go out for a bit of a hunt.[^] I know.. it's all about the journey. Not wether I have had coffee or am entitled to Maccas. That's what He thinks!! Big Grin
Guess that's payback for Hard Rock. Cool
SL Left koala keyring TB.
