It has been well over a month since the reviewer has contacted the owner. The owner has been non responsive and has not used their account since the 20th of May 2012. The cache has obviously been muggled. Multiple DNFs by cachers and also I can confirm as a previous finder and after revisiting the site that the cache is not there and the bush land that the cache was hidden in is trashed. Time for this listing to be archived.

27-Jan-13
Well seeing that the oldest cache i have found had been muggled and i was in the area with the geomum today, i thought i could do a favour for the 2dogs and for australian tourism and put a tempory replacement container out. Well all did not go to plan. Got to gz and double checked the cache wasnt there and was about to replace the container.but then i took a good look around and saw that the area andb saw beer bottles, broken tr3es and trampled bushes. The place was a mess. Then i thought backto the idea that geocaches are suppossed to bring people to nice places, not broken bushland. And also on myway up here along the tramline there was an absolutely beautiful spot in the rainforrest below which i thought would be very apropriate for a cache.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. Went to find today and had a good look. Could not find, and along with previous logs and a lack of upkeep tends to suggest this cache should be archived.

30-Dec-12
I went back to see if it was still there where we found it in April but couldn't find it. I'd say it was probably stolen with all the other caches in the area, back in June. Hope it can be revived.

15-Dec-12
I've had an email from a good friend of mine who found it earlier this year. From what he was saying, I get the feeling it may be still there. He indicated the cache lies "quite a way up and back from its coords." I'm hoping to get out to this area again soon for another try.

14-Dec-12
Like Superslothsonya, I came in from the coastal track and reached ground zero after a bit of bush bashing. I searched around all the likely spots for about 15 minutes but could not locate the prize. I moved down to the old tramway where I found that the track was closed off with some netting across it. There's a new Geocaching NSW Challenge Cache that's just been published where you have to find 10 caches that were placed in 2000 and 2001. There's only 44 left in NSW and this is one of them! I do hope the CO can get out to here and check on the cache's existence. Thanks for the hunt 2 Dogs.

14-Dec-12
After six DNFs going back to July, I think this cache is overdue for a maintenance check. It would be a real shame if this 2001 placed cache had to be archived due to a lack of maintenance. I hope the 2 Dogs are still active.

21-Oct-12
The gizmo sent us up the cliff which seemed more like a Terrain 3 than 1.5 ! After a good search we came up empty-handed. After many DNF's any chance the CO can check it ?

06-Oct-12
Might be there but after hard climb and search zero.

15-Aug-12
DNF day... 1 of 5 caches.... >(

26-Jul-12
Had quite a decent look around, checking rock ledges, tree stumps etc, but caching senses are obviously a bit off today (this was 3rd DNF in a row >_< *sigh*). Bush-bashed in from the coastal track, then left via the lower track (not realising that it was actually taped off until I reached the start - oops!). Will come back eventually for another search =)

22-Jul-12
Couldnt find this one ether , path's were closed could see how we could reach GZ, will be back Sad

27-May-12
We approached the cache from the footpath - watch the spiders!! TFTC

26-May-12
Wow, what a hike and climbe through bush. Came from top.
Gps was not accurate on iPhone. Shootingstar72 found it and took Easter TB.

Because of the split up of team Nikolausi10 here a log with the new name. I hope very much for your understanding and also for the cache again.

11-May-12
wow finally the first cache in australia The others were all hiding from me. in germany this would have at least been a 3T. I was ready to give up when i noticed something unusual. tftc out gc

07-May-12
While here on holidays from Perth we decided to scout this one out. Hmmmm... Walk along the path until the GPSr started to swing and a good old caching track appeared. A little bush bashing and the cache was quickly found by Chil. Signed the log and replaced the plastic bag which held it. Placed a couple of trackables inside. TFTC

06-May-12
Found an almost ten year old cache last wk. Cascading capers. Going to find one on its tenth birthday http://coord.info/GC5973 Wet n Wild in Warriemoo in a few weeks. Loving these old caches. Definitely worth a few more stars on the terrain. TFTC

What a shame that no one gave this cache a favorite point before.....we will definitely.
Finding such an old one in that spot was an honor to us.

Caching let us see what we would have otherwise missed thanks for that.

We found this one together with our nephew authentix whom we infected with the GC virus....

It was interesting and heaps of fun finding this which is definitely a T4 because of the high climb in that stunning area.

Great hide and happy to find an older 10 year + geocache! I searched with bitola for about 20 mins, with the sun fading fast we found it right before dark. Amazing spot and location and one of Sydney's secret gems! Loved just sitting above GZ on the rock admiring the beautiful harbour at dusk. TFTC!

27-Apr-12
Very Happy Tried from the top and Bottom , other logs helped
Specially the one about sitting on a rock
Had to sit on quite a few rocks
Thanks for a fun find , spent many a wide game near the old scout hall didn't know this was there

14-Apr-12
Ripped my leg open on a stick but it was worth it!

13-Apr-12
Walked from watson bay to bondi beach. Followed the tracks. Out Tb. Tftc

02-Apr-12
Out with Baktrak on a recon of the Mattens. He suggested we go after this closeby cache given its history.
Required a serious and hurried search in the bushes before the light faded, but came up trupms reasonably quickly.

Sl TFTC

02-Apr-12
I have a personal goal to do all the 10 year old+ caches around Sydney before they, or I, disappear. This one is about as far from home as they get so after scouting "The Mattens" with PPE, we headed up the coast and commenced searching in the fading light. PPE had the magic touch and exposed the cache, which is in fine condition. Another veteran ticked off. TFTC

30-Mar-12
After much gnashing of teeth I found this one. Reading the previous logs helped me with getting the correct level, however I still was pulling my hair out with a 10m variation on my GPS. It was only after sitting on a rock to phone a friend that I noticed something not quite right...... Very Happy Much relief!!

Took Elmo skater travelbug to move him/her on, left Bwaah there for someone else to find. I say him/her because Elmo really is Zoe!! Smile

Thanks for an excellent cache - I had a great time looking for this one!

03-Mar-12
Approaching coord from above (ocean side) and from below (tram line side) ends up in the same location. Searched all around the 'conventional' places but no cache Sad With heavy rain coming down, probably not the best condition to be clambering over slippery rocks and steep slopes. Will be back ... for another search some time.

21-Feb-12
OK, totally DNF this one, despite looking in and around GZ for 20 minutes. I guess it is well hidden indeed Smile Still enjoyed the walk, the great view of the cliffs, and the interesting story about the Sydney Tramlines. TFTH!

Btw, if this is your idea of Terrain 1.5, I'd rather not attempt your Terrain 3 or higher caches without proper survival gear and 2 months training Wink

11-Feb-12
One regular more and the first today. Thanks. J-LEST-TEAM

05-Feb-12
What a well hidden cache! Had to use clue and previous logs for help but persistance paid off and my efforts were rewarded. Log is a little damp but still useable, this could be my oldest and most easterly cache find to date! T4TC

30-Jan-12
Sad On my last visit I tried from above; this time I tried from below ; crashed about for ages- 1.5?? 2 DNFs here and both big pots- how could I be so dumb Sad Off to Doyles for fish n chips to cheer myself up. Smile

27-Jan-12
Found it during a visit to Sydney. Took the ferry over from the quay. No TB to be found here. TNLN. TFTC.

16-Jan-12
A successful find once we determined the correct path to take to get within striking distance of the cache. Mrs K clambered up to GZ and co-ords were spot on once clear of the trees etc. Great to get one of the early NSW caches.
Left one of our stretchy lizards.
Thanks for keeping this cache going "The 2 Dogs".
Was able to do caches in 2 states in one day when I returned to WA later in the evening.

10-Jan-12
wath a nice one on my sydney round today
this is really a nice area ..this part of the city
merci

09-Jan-12
took a little while since there were so many places to look within 4metres from gz. cliffs, grass trees, lots of rock ledges and logs. finished rock ledge searches to see the old grandfather of a cache poking its head out at me. this has to be either my oldest or second oldest cache. TFTC!!!

#240

Found by Mr FM and a first time cacher.
The climb was quite easy, although, the terrain rating on this should be upgraded to something more than 1.5.

We picked up a TB and will move it along soon.

TFTC.

05-Jan-12
quite an adventure!
i needed to climb and crawl through the wood unexpectedly. but i found it, yeah.
thanks for this adventure, although i suggest to set the terrain number a little bit higher.

sittah Smile

after knowing which way to take,
it's easy

26-Dec-11
Found this today on a walk along the cliffs and to South Heads. The Sydney Hobart boat race was starting today and everything was crowded but no one near cache location. A quick find together with Jackathol for us the coordinates where spot on. And easy to find once you find the right way to approach GZ. this will be my new oldest cache found and probably stay for a while. I left a GC. TFTC 2Dogs.

Nice cache! Loved that there was a small climbing element in it! Went down to the Gap to enjoy the start of the Sydney to Hobart race with my aunt, cousin (Beaverfox) and roommate, so we threw in some caches to find for good measure! Great day Smile

26-Dec-11
Found it after watching the Sydney To Hobart. Took geocoin as we are going down to South Australia in a few days and i thought i might drop it in a cache somewhere there. nice cache.

25-Dec-11
A nice little Boxing Day find! Muggle free as all muggles use the coastal path! TFTC!

20-Dec-11
Took us a little while to get to the right elevation but got there eventually. Great views, TFTC.

19-Dec-11
Nice spot. Windy today but, nice hide.

11-Dec-11
during afternoon caching tour in the eastern subs. I always enjoy the views towards CBD and the walk along the cliffs. Tour ended unfortunately at Randwick Hospital after getting a branch of a tree into the eye. So keep in mind don't walk and luck on the GPS Display. Luckily it only hurts but was not so serious, now after three days more or less no problems. Could even fly to Singapur on monday. TFTC

03-Dec-11
Found the cache with The Hancock Clan man. It was easy to spot once we found the right trail. Beautiful place! Thanks for the cache!

P.S. There is no trackable in the container...

03-Dec-11
Found at 11.45am GAFF1. These early caches certainly make you work hard to locate them, but we were happy to go bush so that we could not be observed by the Japanese tourists. Also found that the co-ords were about 14 metres out and we were lucky to approach the cache from the right direction to come across it before reaching GZ.
Thanks SNIFTER (The 2 Dogs)

01-Dec-11
Nice spot !!! First time I think that cache will be on the road , but coordinates was to accurate and send me to shrubbery . T4TC

07-Nov-11
Waiting the bus after eyes on the harbour we decided trying this one, the short was definitevely a bad idea, i think i will have a nice feeling with sea water tomorrow. Tftc

Nice spot! My new geofriend loved it! Took travel bug. LN. TFTH.

Our 5547th overall find.

Pretty cool to find such an old cache in such a great location. A pretty simple find too!

Thanks The 2 Dogs for the cache.

27-Oct-11
Found with Big Matt and Shell during an early evening run around the eastern suburbs.

I think we may have made the hard approach to this one but we got there in the end.

TNLN and thanks to The 2 Dogs for the cache.

Quick walk up to site. Quite a search to find the box - prickly plants for short pants, got several small cuts. Found cache left TB TFTC

on our journay in Australia we spend some Time in Sydney and there we take a fairy to the Pacific Ocean. On a nice walk we found this cache.
Nice Spot with a lot of vegetation around it.

18-Sep-11
TFTC. Probably best to stay away during early spring... plenty of nesting birds weren't happy about our presence.

10-Sep-11
It took a while to work my way to GZ, and then to find it, but the challenge was worth it (and the minor blood loss from a scrape.)

04-Sep-11
By the time we got to the cache we knew it was a bit late!! After a bit of an effort we gave up!!

04-Sep-11
On a wonderful day in Sydney found! TFTC

03-Sep-11
Great hide. Thought the terrain level should be a little higher. Tftc

25-Aug-11
I enjoyed the challenge of finding this cache without the hint and only using a phone with a GPSr. I was up, down and back again several times before the cache revealed itself to me. It must have been fun to grow up exploring this area. Nice cache and thanks to The 2 Dogs for placing it.

25-Aug-11
I arrived at GZ after dusk, It was very difficult to locate the cache in the dark so I ran back to the car and retrived my mag light which made things a bit clearer... I couldn't get a good reading on my Iphone so I just bush bashed and climbed over rocks/boulders for a while until I stumbled across it... Id say terrain was more like 2.5 than a 1.5 (Unless I missed an easier obvious way to approach the cache)Took: Defqon 1 lighter which I was stunned to find in the cache, It will get much use at the up coming Defqon festival less than a month away!!
Great cache, awesome location and lots of fun Smile

It took some effort to reach the GZ but the cache itself was easily spotted because it was left in the open. We concealed it a bit better. Cache in good condition. TFTC

Great cache but nearly got lost at one point. TFTC!

29-May-11
Did a little bit of a naughty today with regards to this cache. The track we went down did have a sign saying "no pedestrian access" on it. Cache owner may look at temp disabling until track is back open again. It does look like they are doing some work on the trails around the area. That said I found this cache relativly quickly once I found an easyish way up and completed the duties.

Good cache. Hard to find initially. Nearly gave up, but a good hide.

03-Apr-11
Once we made it past all the spiders to GZ, we found it quickly. A nice cache in a lovely spot. Thanks!

01-Apr-11
no jump for us on this cache... Too bad. Many thanks for the discovery of the cache and greetings from France

30-Mar-11
Too many spiders.... as big as tennis balls... not a good idea to get there. Thanks anyway

24-Mar-11
This took some time - tried so many different ways of reaching GZ and nearly gave up. Fortunately ol' eagle-eyes-nearly-a-virgin-cacher Dr L spotted a path just as we'd decided to call it a day and after a bit of scrambling, climbing and jumping (!!) the cache was in hand and log signed!! TnLn, TfTC 2 Dogs Smile!!

ps.. I did think that terrain-wise, it should qualify for more than the 1.5 stars you graded it - glad i didn't have my zimmer frame with me altho i might have used it to fend off the spiders!!!

18-Mar-11
My sister and her baby were waiting for us at the bottom, so I felt a little rushed. After going off-trail for a while, and finally made it to the coordinates, but didn't search for too long; the big as orb spiders weren't too inviting!!

13-Mar-11
We did not know what a sliproad was so we had to guess. And after finally finding this cache we actually did "go and jump". We had a good laugh about this one.

13-Mar-11
I was wondering about the name. After making our way through a bunch of spider webs, we decided that the "jump and go" was the best route this time. TFTC. We were proud of ourselves after this one...

27-Feb-11
Reperio at 1045. Once I found the right access point, I thoroughly enjoyed the walk along to GZ, however due to the .5 terrain rating, I concentrated my search a little lower than was required. Whilst the coords were pointing to go up, I headed in that direction and soon found the cache well off the path and well beyond the terrain rating. A beautiful area and walking trail.

Gratias.

14-Feb-11
2nd time lucky on this one.. My phone was having trouble with gps signal for some reason. I walked to where i gave up last time and found it in 30 seconds.

12-Feb-11
The GPS took me exploring this nice area for a little while before eventually deciding to take me to the cache.

Thanks.

30-Jan-11
Made the find after some searching. The local flora has taken a beating. Jen, Ell and me. TFTC

23-Jan-11
Found this cache eventually (and luckily), the GPS was jumping about a lot. Spotted a possum and picked up the travel bug. I'll put up a photo of the possum, it's not great but hey. TFTC

Sad Went out to Watson's Bay for the start of the Sydney Hobart race. Fabulous views. Saw this one nearby- lots of great hiding places- but nothing there! Hard to believe it could be Muggled so reluctant to give up, but Mr H wanted his fish and chips from Doyles, so scratched and bleeding it was a DNF Sad TFTC!

11-Dec-10
We tried this 2 times and came up empty handed both times. We tried to get it from the top and whwen that did't work, we tried from the bottom. We went to the co-ords but just did't have any luck. Sad
