Steep climb from below. Interesting space. All in good order. Thanks for the cache and
Found this one despite a few things working against us. The access from top is partially fenced I assume for rehab so need to work through carefully. Easy find once there though.Dropped off a trackableThanks for the cache and the evident maintenance
Out with ILTW getting some adventure labs and earth caches. Great hills in whites hill reserve. TFTC
Found it however it would be sensible to relocate it as the council very recently closed the area for revegetation. Thank you all in good order otherwise
Wasnt planning on looking for caches but still found one. No pen though to record it
Nice little walk to this one. GPS bounced around a bit but using our eyes we managed to spot it. TFTC!
Today Kolour and I set out to conquer the caches and AdLabs on White's Hill Reserve. I was late to meet up with her because I was distracted by an FTF on the way but once we got going we had a very successful day finding 7 caches and 6 AdLab stages. The 9km walk took us about 4hrs. Our first stop was the Tearooms and we stopped to enjoy the lovely view of the city. Then I headed down the hill to find this cache while Kolour stayed at the top to work on the numbers for the archived letterbox cache (GC4EPXK). She had found this cache a number of years ago and according to her there was a track straight down the hill towards the cache. The council have done their best to cover over the track to dissuade it's use so I had to make my own way down the slope. Once I got close I could see the large cache from a way off. Previous logs had described the ammo can as old an rusty but when I found it it seemed to be in good condition. After I had put everything back together I turned around and then saw the original old rusty ammo can nearby. Yep, that definitely needed replacing. Thanks happyharries for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance!
GPS on my phone is quite wacky, so the cache took longer to find than it should have Good trinkets inside. Nice view of the city TFTC
14/01/2024 - 11:14For some reason I chose the long way to get this one, quick little bush bash capped off with an easy find. Nice one to start a walk on a warm day.marcussjd9#161TFTC
One of my favorite haunts as a child in this area in the 1950s/60s was to explore Whites hill. A lot has changed since then! I approached from Indus and Citrine Streets, Much puffing up the hill, but I made it to the cache. The container looks very empty, and needs more "stuff" inside! I then continued to the summit and took some pictures of the city view. Thanks for bringing me here.
Nice one it was a steep climb but an amazing view we saw a few koalas on this walk so look out and you might see some
Out for a Friday night dinner on the Southside and so popped in to collect a find. cache in good condition
It was a dreadful walk, so hard on the legs and the lower back but when I got here, it was a really neat cache! TFTC!
Tftc, as others have said, needs some attention. Also the last 70m from the lookout are not stroller friendly! Had to leave the toddler with the geokid.
Found, but box is crumbling apart. Will message owner to advise and permission to replace if needed.
The recent burn-off no doubt helped with locating this box. A mostly easy stroll, until the end. Watch out for that slippery path and off-camber traverse cross-wards. And TFTC!
5/7/2023 Find #6247
This afternoon I decided to head over to the Southside to grab a few caches, with my eye particularly on some of the nice older ones.
This was the first target cache of the day, and definitely for the “older” bill. A short up hike and I was soon at GZ. Tho this poor old rusted out ammo can is definitely showing signs of its age. There’s almost more rusted holes that ammo can. I hmmm However I was safely able to access the cache and perform my signing duties.
Thanks for the cache happyharries.

Found it at last. First try wasn't successful. Be warned this area has at least annual controlled burning so that's why i found it without a logbook. Some previous prepared cachers had a zip lock bag notepaper to sign. I just have a photo of the burnt wreckage.
When we parked the car there was all of 185 metres to the cache. I’m no Pythagoras, or know how much walking is involved in a love triangle, but it didn’t seem far. All I know is that triangles are like squares without a leg, and that Pythagoras gave us square roots and squares to help us but is anyone else confused?
The first 50 metres was on a sealed path with a big sign telling cyclists to give way to pedestrians. I was excited there was a sealed trail all the way to GZ.
Well the council sign erector is clearly someone that enjoys a laugh because no bike is coming this way. Also I should have paid more attention to Pythagoras at school because we weren’t far but we had to follow an hypotenuse or whatever drugs are made of. I would have paid more attention at school but there were other things that were more interesting, like boobs.
So we carefully hypotenused and whatever the autocorrect disagrees with, surely it can be used as a verb. I have no doubt Pythagoras would be turning in his grave especially with those geese that think radians are the future. Let’s just say we walked up hill and found a cache. tftc

This was quite a bish bashing! Nearly gave up when we saw the GZ and finally found it!
There was no pen in the box, though, so I took a pic of the logbook in case the owner wants proof of finding

Came from the lookout to grab the cache. My knees hurt on the way down. My knees hurt on the way up but we gor another smiley so we are happy. Nice oldie that mostly survived the fire. TFTC
Easy to find but off the beaten path so fun to spot and bush-bash our way there. TFTC!
A little tricky to find on the steep terrain. But I found it. Definitely been caught in a bush fire.
Found with the family today. Got the lid open with some encouragement. Contents burned to ash, except for new log. The container's seals burned up too, so it will leak over time. Dumped out the ash and added some goodies.
Found easily enough but contents of the cache have been incinerated. All that remains is a small yellow duck Added a log sheet in a ziplock TFTC
Cache container may need maintenance or replacing as the catch is not working plus all contents have been incinerated
Hiked up from my grandparents place nearby early this morning before work. I recently acquired a large amount of swag and was hoping to deposit some of the swag I had on hand.
Quickly found the cache after approaching from the most frustrating angle.
Turns out all logbooks are now ashes and there was no place to sign. I didn’t bring a spare log with me, so I did not sign. Given this cache seems to get burnt out I didn’t leave swag

Found it but a recent burn off has left the log burnt to a cinder. Needs replacing. Also the stump it was hidden in has almost gone.
Great spot.
Interesting to see there is a burnt log book that survived a bush fire and some melted toys stuck to this small container. TFTC

My oldest son and i decided to go for a little walk and i suggested coming here to find some caches along our way. Wow this is an oldy and a goodie which did not take long to spot. It was great to see 3 log books and the original a bit burnt. We had a look through and added our name. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy .
Quite a walk for a couple of oldies from VIC on a hot summers day. Never been here before. Great views and good to burn of a few calories. TFTC.

Quick find after my gps stabilised, took me a couple of stumps as it didn’t look like the hint from one side. But signed 2 of the active logs and left the charred one alone. TFTC happyharries!
After visiting the dentist I decided to find a couple of caches... This was my third find in Whites Hill... I didn't realise how close the Letterbox brought me to here, so I moved the car and entered from Indus Street...
As mentioned by others, there are three log books here.... the original very crispy log, and two others... I signed both the ongoing logs and put all three into new bags... TFTC... 14 years old and still going.... though I imagine the ammo can will not last another 14...

Thanks for the cache! Would have been lovely views without all the trees, but hey, who's complaining?
An unsuccessful koala hunt but a successful caching day with my muggle friend. Lots of hill climbs so our butts got a good work out too. Thanks for bringing us here
After attending the CITO, Mr CuriousQuest and I headed off to find a few caches. Another quick find and sign here. TFTC
A fun day out with Davidwazza! Great view of the city whilst at the CITO! TFTC!
Today, it was a mixture of two geocaching activities and areas: The morning was spent with [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) at Whites Hill with a CITO event, and the afternoon was back to Redcliffe's wetlands completing the Stats Hound Challenge series (SHCS) and other interesting tree fishing geocaches nearby. A nice winter Sunday with great weather to suit.
As we were cleaning up rubbish at the CITO, we wandered past this location. We headed down the slopes from the summit, only to find another Geocacher, kolour, already signing the log. At least that made it a quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, although as previously mentioned, we did find two different logbooks (so not sure if one has come from another archived cache or something? *Tour of Fun Paddle and Kick* ?). Otherwise, it is always enjoyable to find an ammo can! Thanks happyharries for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A lovely day out with Selva Girls . A quick find was made here. We signed the log and replace the cache as found. TFTC
While at the CITO found this cache. As a previous finder said, there were two logbooks so signed both. Tftc
After my appointment this morning I am grabbing a few caches before going home.
Had thought about getting the old cache here but would possibly be better to get from the car park, so decided to grab this one instead. Got the heart rate up walking up the hill and found the cache quickly. Surprised to see two logbooks as well as the original a bit tattered but still readable. Gotta love oldies. Signed both logs then returned as found.
Found on 8 June 2021. TFTC, happyharries.

TFTC, we found this one a little tricky to find - be prepared for some off track walking. Lots of fun.

Out and about for a few olde time caches in lovely wilderness/urban areas. Like here. A nice little wander up the hill, a quick find, and then continued on to the top. Views of trees mostly, but I like trees, especially in the mornings. Nice spot.
Thanks happyharries for entertaining me at this location.

Saturday. I just took leave from a nearby event to grab some caches in this area. I initially wasn’t going to go for this one, as I had limited time. In the end, I went for it, as a letterbox cache had me wandering through the tracks and so brought be closer to this cache. Found quickly and read through the really old log book. Took some pics of it and sent on to OBC who likes to collect these sorts of pics. I reckon there would have been a fantastic view before the houses got put up here though.
This was the 4th of 7 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***happyharries*** for showing us this place

After walking to the top of a nearby hill from the other side, we decided to continue on in the late afternoon and walk to this one. A lovely walk uphill, downhill and then some more.
Woolworths good at GZ, and we have added our name to the logbook.
Thanks happy harries

Found this fairly easily with a geocacher who had already but she forgot where it was! Tsk tsk

I love finding these in the bush. I found myself innthe area today with some time on my hands. What better to do with that time than a quick bushwalk and grab a cache. Beautiful day, tftc
Haven't come across 1 of those 4 a wyl....a few potential G.Z. but only 1 was big enuf with tell-tale clues to a hidden cache seen on approachT4TC
I lost track of how many burnt out stumps there were within the vicinity of GZ. The find was worth it though. What a lovely spot and a cracker of a cache! TFTC
Out today to continue a couple of challenges which are, a traditional a day and a cache a day. Today I was also looking at completing the date placed grid and a couple of other target caches. With just 2 dates left on my grid I had grabbed those earlier but now it was an oldie, so I headed over to Whites Mountain to grab the oldie and a few others.
This was my first cache in this area and it was a little walk of the track into the scrub. Cache was found very easily and with the handy fallen log beside it was to sit and sign the log. Cache was in good condition and log all nice and dry, with the log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to grab another around this area. Thanks for placing this one here and maintaining it.

Found it today. It is great to see logbooks going back so many years, and one that had obviously survived a bushfire.
A fun hill slide down to GZ.
Always satisfying to find an ammo tin in the bush. Signed one of the two logbooks and made my way back out.
TFTC!

Of course I hiked to the top of the track (calves needed it) before I remembered not to depend on the GPS too much as they always jump around on any slopes. Seems like previous logs have burnt? All nice and dry as I quickly signed log as it started to sprinkle. TFTC
Found it. We forgot a pen to write in the log book. Will have to come back another time.
I’m in the process of getting the numbers for the Letterbox cache nearby and I noticed I was getting close to this cache, but it was down the steep hill so off I went slipping and sliding all the way down, but luckily I made it to the cache in one piece.
Spotted it’s obvious resting place from a distance.

School's back so time for a caching day with nikid1 - yay! This was our first stop of the day & we managed to find a park despite the large number of kids at the nearby sporting fields & had the cache in hand not too long after that.

Headed out here with KerriMG. Parked nearby in the neighbouring street due to a huge school event taking place at the touch grounds. Headed uphill and made a quick find. TFTC.
Having such a short amount of time available to us this morning we ditched all efforts on the mystery and letterbox in here and thought that we would just grab this trad on the way out. We shimmied down the hill until we arrived at GZ and found the cache before we continued on down the hill as it was a short cut for us back to the car.
