I noticed that this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the *archive listing* link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you plan on repairing this cache, **please log a note to the cache** (not email) within the next 28 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

Looks like a trip out to Harrington is 'in order'.
Not sure if it will be this weekend.

21-Oct-18
Didn't find. Too many muffled :/

15-Sep-18
We had all the time in the world to have a thorough look, with no body else venturing this far along the wall. No sign of any trace of this cache or the one half way along the wall. We loved the walk anyway.

21-Aug-18
Once again joined the group with a no find. Enjoyed the walk though.

27-Jul-18

13-Jul-18
Muggle around but still had a look for ten or so minutes, could not find

12-Jun-18
Gee, it is quite a walk out here, and we were disappointed to find 2 people standing about 5 metres from the listed coordinates, I think they were waiting for the tide to change and looked like they were going to be there for a very long time. I had a cursory look in some likely places, but left after the fishermen asked me twice what I had lost, I didn't feel up to explaining geocaching to them.

06-Feb-18
Thanks to the mnc Mob, wow what a walk! This one was found after waiting for a muggle couple to leave. We knew we wouldn’t get back here this trip...so we waited & waited. Finally log signed & placed.

05-Feb-18
A very enjoyable walk, luckily no muggles were present.
We spent about 10 minutes searching where the coordinates took us and had no luck. Expanded our search radius to 5 metres and soon had cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache Fang Shaw and Grahame Cookie

Staying at Harrington, we decided to go along the breakwater for this and the other geocache. This had been logged for a while, and was a little more difficult find than the other. TFTC.
Magnificent birdlife in the area.

06-Nov-17
In the area today on a bit of an explore. Wanted to tidy up a few loose ends.

This was a quick find in the first place I looked AFTER I read the hint Smile ha ha thanks for the exercise. We both know I need it Wink TNLN TFTC

27-Sep-17
We are having an overnight at Taree on the way home. Set up at the showgrounds.
Our trip mostly took us out into the country side.
Bill road his bike along the bank, it is 1.6ks from the carpark. Loved to be on his bike again so have given this a favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache Grahame Cookie

TFTC, after seeing that this one has finally been replaced after nearly 12 months, I took the time to go find it whilst in the area for work. A bit of a needle in a haystack but once my GPS settled down the co ords were pretty good and the hint certainly helped.

28-May-17
Replaced with a new log book and pencil (Stash Note: prepared for another cache)

28-May-17
Searched around, nothing else found, except for some CITOing, so placed a 400 mL Sistema. No swag on me, so a bit ordinary. Same coordinates.
Down Brown.

18-Mar-17
Fang Shaw was here a month ago, unfortunately nothing was done about it then. Weather is a big problem at the moment, try next week.

18-Mar-17
Its been over 6 months now, fair enough time.

13-Feb-17
Whats happening with this one ?

23-Dec-16
Hopefully in the 'down-time' of work I can there next week. Sorry 'guys'.

21-Nov-16
Working on making a more suitable container.

09-Nov-16
Working on a suitable replacement if the original is not there.

08-Nov-16
Been a long while now with no action.

08-Nov-16
It will happen, but TOO MUCH ACTION ELSEWHERE, helping geocachers!

07-Nov-16
Found the right rock but no cache

04-Aug-16
Can the C.O please confirm if it is still there, or else its a long walk for nothing.

11-Jul-16
Tried for some time to find it. Maybe next time.

04-Jul-16
Had a bit of a look inbetween fishermen for no luck.

03-Jul-16
With the hint, they're all big grey brown boulders, lol.

11-Jun-16
Figuring out rocks ate not my friends, couldn't linger too long as the fisherman were everywhere. Next time

31-May-16
Got lucky and managed to have a long muggle free period in the middle of the day to find this.

There must be something about fishing at the end of the rock wall. With so much space all the way along, it was unlucky for us to have a fishermuggle within ten metres of GZ. But after a 1 mile walk having a rest was no pretence.....and while we did we grabbed the cache. Great to turn a DNF into a find after four years. TFTC Grahame Cookie.

10-Jan-16
Tftc. Found this one today after a lovely swim at Crowdy and lunch in Harrington. Nice walk along the wall, a little search and soon had cache in hand. Tnlnsl.

03-Jan-16
Well, that took way longer than it should have... Was just about to throw in the towel when I said to geodaughter, just look there one more time, and soon had the little bigger in hand, TFTC

30-Dec-15
Very satisfying find - thanks geoson!!! Very well hidden, go the seaside! Found with MK&LadyG. TFTC

30-Dec-15
So glad we found this one today with the Richo's! Last year it was a lot hotter and the walk back felt so much longer after our DNF.

A DNF for us today.

15-Jan-15
Found during our January Family holiday to the NSW Mid North Coast, camping at the Big4 Caravan Park in Harrington. 53rd find of the holiday.

Went for a sunset walk along the Training Wall this evening and thought we would have a go at the two caches hidden along it. With all the recent DNF's we weren't confident of a find but with three of us searching we finally came up with the goods.

Cache is very well hidden but coords are spot on and the hint is good. A very satisfying find indeed. After success with this one we will give the other one another go before we leave the area next week.

9th, and last, find of the day. TNLNSL. TFTC.

Find #374

08-Jan-15
This time we were on the wall!! Right at the very end, definitely in the right location according to hints, photos and descriptions, but no cache to be found. Searched thoroughly, moving rocks and all.

05-Jan-15
Couldn't even find where to get into the wall...

18-Oct-14
Great hint. Good cords. Moved a lot to find it. Tftc

18-Oct-14
Took a bit of searching but finally found. TFTC!!! #375

23-Jul-14
Got it not sure how stealth we are but one of the local fisherman where on a roll with two fish of decent size while we searched tftc

12-Jul-14
Good one nice walk

02-Jul-14
Case missing.
Just a ziplock bag with logbook but no pencil.

Maybe one of the elderly muggle fishermen on bikes are playing games.

05-May-14
Mrs y'stassie undertook the walk to the two Gone Fishing caches while Mr y'stassie went to caches that were more accessible to him. Whilst walking along between the two caches, Mrs y'stassie was befriended by a lone fisherman who was only too willing to tslk about fisihing and anything else that would result in some company. Thank goodness that a lrage fish took the bait - that gave Mrs y'stassie the chance to move on. Once near GZ, accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for placing this cache Grahame Cookie. PS: Mrs y'tassie was hoping that the fish were still biting when she had to walk back past the friendly fisherman. To her relief, another walker had been bailed up.

25-Apr-14
Was going to drop by yesterday but many things got in the way, so came out after the morning CITO at Croki. Couldn't even find the ziploc bag, so replaced with a new 200 mL Sistema and log book.
Cache on!

Farmer Frentzen, The Rats and and I were heading to the Mid North Coast. Our goal: The Mid North Coast Wander (along with a few extra caches thrown in for good measure.)

Sadly we could not find this cache today. At least the views along the walk made it worthwhile.

Cheers

09-Nov-13
Attempted during a run around Harrington with The Rats and Hoojar.

Unfortunately this one eluded us today.

Thanks Grahame Cookie for the hunt.

09-Nov-13
We had no luck here today, even though there were a few other dnf's we thought we'd try our luck, but alas no!
Maybe next time

13-Oct-13
At least the pushbike helped get me here and back a bit quicker than on foot Big Grin
So I had that much more time to poke around for a cache or two and spend a nice, if not a bit warmish, hour out on the seawall collecting a couple of DNF's Sad

Oh well !!

12-Oct-13
Couldn't find it but will return and try again bloody mugglers wouldn't expect them there

06-Oct-13
After a long walk to the end we were happy to find this one. The cache was exposed and quickly found. Covered it back up. TFTC.

Today was our second day caching in the mid north coast area. We were blessed with clear sky's today again. We always enjoy travelling up here from the hunter valley

01-Sep-13
Great walk, terrain rating could go to 2. TFTC.

01-Sep-13
While there is a VAST array of thought on the differences between a T1½ and a T2 cache rating I do personally agree that this cache should have been rated T2 many years ago, but we were a lot younger and fitter then, and it seemed so easy. But, by my personal rating of T1½ being where a person in a wheelchair would be able to get the cache while being assisted, eg, being pushed on roughish, but reasonably flat grass, and / or, the chair being held while the cacher was reaching out of a reasonable safe position from the wheelchair, this would probably be a T1.8 under (god-forbid) Open caching rating.
Cache On!

05-Jul-13
We were in the area with 'sesblocker and thought we'd head into Harrington and try and knock over these couple along the breakwall that we haven't been able to do due to the gantry closure. We arrived at GZ on close to dark and I didn't like our chances. After searching for around 30 minutes, and in desperation, we finally had CIH.Took TB. Thanx for bringing us back here Cookie.

05-Jul-13
Found with "The Neighbs".
Searched for 30mins (last 15 by torchlight) and it was found.

Wink Lovely walk. Plenty of muggles about. Took us about an hour to do both of these on the Breakwall, due to muggles. Dropped TB. Plenty of rocks about. Doing the MNCW, seen plenty of rocks over the three days. TFTC

Nice,TFTC

19-Apr-13
After being in the all day doing the MNCW the GeoDog needed a run so since we were in Harrington doing some shopping a run along the break wall was perfect. Missluckie, the GeoDog and I jogged all the way to both caches along the break wall which was tiring but lucky we were treated with 2 finds.

19-Apr-13
Had a good run with the geo-dog. TFTC

01-Apr-13
Went walking yesterday morning on Easter Sunday/my birthday along the break wall with pdbunce, Footyfanatics and chrissybunce. After the walk along the break wall we had hoped not to come up empty handed and at first it was looking that way. But suddenly I laid eyes in it. Phew! This cache was a bit damp but logbook fine to sign. TFTC.

31-Mar-13
Easter Sunday and Evans birthday. Nice set of micros, another good day in the area TFTC

31-Mar-13
Found it while visiting Harrington Beach over the Easter long weekend. We went for an early morning stroll along the breakwater to find this one. TFTC

25-Jan-13
Unless it rains the blood spots are a dead giveaway as to the cache's hidey hole Red Face But then the mozzies took some more on the brisk walk back along the wall Surprised SL on a clean and tidy cache, TNLN, TFTC Smile

Having been with Fang Shaw on one of our Sabbath afternoon walks at Harrington we knew where this one 'was', but seems to have disintegrated with the rust. So MVMtBiker replaced the old with a new 200 mL Sistema container. TNLN
Shame we can't find suitable spots for hiding a wheel-chair accessible cache along here.
Only found the one State Survey Marker, and from memory there was three (five years ago)
TFTC Grahame Cookie

20-Nov-12
Thanks to MVMtBiker and MAP's for getting out there and placing the 200 mL Sistema container there for me. (And no sign of 1646, so will adjust that)

19-Nov-12
A bit more difficult to find the remnants of the cache here, so hid it (the replacement cache, courtesy of Cookie) in a similar position.

30-Sep-12
Catching up on logs left over from last time I was active, sorry they are so late.

21-Jul-12
Looks like you 'could' still get this cache, if you were willing to go Terrain 5, and swim across, or use a boat! Just not sure that the CO will change it permanently Big Grin

10-Jul-12
It is not possible to access this cache by walking along the break wall as NSW Dept of Primary Industries (see photo) has removed the gantry footbridge for two weeks - that was nearly two months ago!

26-Apr-12
good view nice hide Smile

22-Apr-12
This cache sent us mad as we we looked every where for it!Not sure on the clue the GZ we thought looked like a camp fire was there. Found the Survey markers looked and looked. in fact we spent more time here than it took us to get here. So I will just have to come back one day and find it.Well done to jai lyons finding it cause we couldn't. I must admit I am a little upset that I did not find it as we had a very good look and we spent a lot of time with so many places and to hide and such a small thing to look for one would think that either a larger or better description even a better clue would help with this cach being so far out of the way. Never mind next time.

Easy find but didn't see the 1646 referred to in the clue, only a 1550... TN, left butterfly eraser Smile

16-Nov-11
A nice walk along the breakwater wall. Roadie1 amused himself by locating and reading all the memorial plaques. As previously reported the tin and log were both in bad shape. Replaced the existing tin with a mint tin and put in some dry log sheets. Took the old wet and brittle log to try and dry out and will see if Fang Shaw wants it.

20-Oct-11
Found during a pleasant sunset ride to the end of the training wall. Like the previous cache, this one took a while to located but I had the wall to myself. Cache needs some attention or replacement. Thanks Fang Shaw.
