Somehow it has been muggled and as it is not possible to rehide it in the same place and retain the spirit of the cache I have decided on archiving.
Thank you to all who had a go, and for those who couldn't finish it...Bad Luck.

Returned today and found the area less populated than a few days ago. Got stumped at W/P3, kept going back and forth, eventually had to 'phone a friend' for help. Wouldn't you know it we had actually spotted it and not investigated further and was standing right next to it when told which way to go. So it was then onto GZ and a great location. We did get the point and enjoyed the multi.
Took: Geocoin

Very nice area but today it was covered by sun loving muggles. Searched as thoroughly as we could at W/P1 but couldn't come up with anything to get us started. There were too many muggles in close proximity of the given co-ords to linger and without knowing what we were looking for (container, micro, tags etc) we had to abort the excursion.

17-Jan-08
searched and searched and searched...
came back the next day and searched... and couldn't even find WP1. Too tricky for me. TFTH.

08-Dec-07
Made some little modifications due to water problems.
Everything has the same coords as before.
I was going to lower the difficulty rate half a star, but we'll see what the general populace says.
Back on line.

All good things need maintenance to keep them good.
Will have a look at all aspects and take appropriate measures.
Be back soon.

1st Wp may need a bit of maintenance. We got the point - thanks for taking us to a lovely spot. Took Kiwi Peacekeeper Travel Bug.

Great end to a great day we had down the coast. Now we know what the point is too. Bessie, our black & white team mascot had a great time too chasing all the rabbits around as well. We took one (1) of the two (2) TBs in the cache but now as we log the find the other TB is supposed to be somewhere else. Perhaps it has not been logged in yet. Thanks for the adventure EyeofHorus.

Nope you got me, I know the point well, this is where my camping days first started back in christmas 1957 (5 months old). Got to bottom of steps and that was it.

28-Aug-07
Well after looking for a while we gave up. We just couldnt see the point!

26-Aug-07

What better way to spend such a warm sunny day.
In the end i also found the point to all this.
Many Thank's EyeofHorus for a Great Cache Hunt

Driving past the turnoff today having found the two caches nearby I thought would I have another go. 'No'. I reckon it's psychological. I could look a hundred times & not see it. So thanks to EofH for the tip & Strawberry Muffin for an alternative set of co-ords but I have deleted the waypoint.

Came back through here for work and after a great lunch up at the Husky pub, I felt good, but it wasn't to be! Even with two sets of eyes, it wasn't to be. I'm still not having any luck, looks like this will be a painful one for me!

I am glad I read the commnets for this cache after I came home otherwise I may not have attempted it as I was short on time. Happily I found all waypoints easily GPS was spot on and I located each quickly. Headed on to grab cache. Took Geocoin and admired the views from the cache site. There is a point.
Thanks for a great cache.

Against my better judgement decided my first attempt would be this one, as not far from home. Read the comments. A bit of emotion there! Got the impression from Big Matt that should be looking for something other than a container. Philma mentioned a hill so rechecked my co-ords. Figured the stairs must be the area to concentrate on so spent a good hour looking at & around them. The saw-miller has some numbers engraved on the railings so entered a combination of these & walked out to a rock platform & then not far from a public lavatory. Obviously the wrong track here. Went back to the stairs & skirted around them to a distance of 5 metres, as this was my GPS accuracy. Not sure what I'm looking for. Trees & GPSs don't mix all that well. My Garmin's ESP did me no favours. Thanks for an entertaining couple of hours out of the wind.

OK so it seems that I have joined the long list of people who don't get the point! I came here today and had good reception so started searching. I couldn't find a physical container after half an hour so started looking at a few more subtle things. When I found what I thought fitted I cheered and headed off in search.

It wasn't to be, the closest I could get to my next WP was 260m as I wasn't keen to get my feet wet... It did give me a good spot to watch the Anzac class Frigate and the Sea King Helicopter for a few minutes.

Can I please have a bit of a hint as to what I should be looking for? Is it a container or should I be looking for something scratched in Kanji on the underside of a post?????

Had a go at the first waypoint yesterday and came away empty. Returned today and while I was looking for the waypoint Mr Horus made an appearance. It was good to catch up again Mr Horus. This waypoint is a tricky little bugger due to satellite movement, with the hill at your back allow a 5 metre swing. Having said that it is well hidden. With waypoint 1 in hand I ran out of time to continue.
Can't wait to return to this picturesque part of the south coast again.
Regards Philma.
PS Sorry about that I meant to write a note not log a find.

Had a good hard check over the weekend, actually spending 4 hours just 'Finding' my own WP( trying to get the WP coords down to the cm, couldn't do it of course, satellites don't get that close on my machine!).
WP1 is a slight problem at times due to trees, but that is Geocaching! The published coords are within 3m, I think the offset is acceptable.
WP2 is also beset by the rotten trees but you can again get the satellites to within 3m, which is acceptable.
WP3 caused me no end of problems, trees again, the right WP seemed to be different at the end than when I had taken it 3 hours before so I averaged it.
The Cache itself I won't linger on except to say it is there and correct.
I must say I haven't ever had so many DNF on any of my caches, and just on WP1 for that matter! Perhaps another half star is warranted?

There were 10 DNFs on 9 is Enough:

"WP2 ........ Why did it take me 11 trips to find when the coords were spot on?"

If it takes me 11 trips (DNFs) to locate WP1 then I will have travelled 1200Ks within the same City, a bigger disincentive I could not imagine. No public transport here. My opinion is that each unsuccessful attempt should be recorded as a DNF. A true picture of the difficulty of a cache is built allowing cachers to make informed decisions.

Imagine it. You are all primed for that new cache which has popped up in your area. You make all the preparations and head out on the road, eager and enthusiastic with the smell of the hunt. You do this 4 times. You finally get to the GZ, find the cache and are not left wondering 'What's The Point?'. Because there are views, difficulty and the cache is full of redeeming features, which answers the question, 'What was the owner thinking?'

Well, by the end of this cache we answered 'What's The Point?', and there are a number. We can now see them, on all levels, so don't give up. A word of warning, there are cliffs (albeit small) and breaking waves around the GZ so as always, take care.

Happy Caching.

We have egg on our faces, and we are as inept as we thought we weren't. WP1 is a doozy, the others very good. Coordinates are perfect. We apologise for previous comments profusely and bow down before EyeofHorus, please forgive us!

A truly memorable cache, we think the difficulty rating is a little low without a hint for WP1, and probably right with one. EyeofHorus in his benevolence gifted us with several clues, and it still took us nearly an hour to find WP1. Philma's note certainly gave us heart to try again and persist. It was well worth it in the end. And "Thats the Point!"

I have completed all of the EyeofHorus caches placed around the eastern suburbs. All of his caches have clever waypoints (lets say ingenious) so don't expect an average waypoint. One cache (9 is enough) took me 11 visits to find waypoint 1. After I found it I smiled and thought "You crafty bugger". When Mr Horus moved south we lost a crafty tradesman.
I can't wait to get down south to have a go at this cache, maybe I will feel frustration in the short term but once I find the cache all will be worth it and "Thats The Point".
Regards Philma.

Imagine it. You are all primed for that new cache which has popped up in your area. You make all the preparations and head out on the road, eager and enthusiastic with the smell of the hunt. You brave torrential rain, howling wind and crashing surf. Then you get to the first WP, and come up empty handed. You go back in similar conditions and again come up empty handed. You contact the owner and ask for a few hints and are answered with "Even though there has been a lot of rain I doubt the WP has been touched". So you head out again, this time you are rewarded with perfect weather and a flat sea. You still don't find WP1 and are left wondering 'What's The Point?'.

There are fabulous views, 3 star difficulty and the cache probably/hopefully has some redeeming features, but you have to ask the question, 'What is the owner thinking?'
(this is not a harsh criticism of the owner, just an observation).

Well, hopefully by the end of this cache we won't be asking 'What's The Point?', because we give up.

UnHappy Caching.

Now we may end up with egg on our faces, and will apologise profusely and in advance, as long as the owner can confirm the continued existence of WP1 and that the coordinates are good. I don't believe that we are truly this inept but would be happy to be proven wrong; we believe WP1 has gone AWOL. We even found what I would consider a perfect container for a WP, washed up along the beach further along, unfortunately it was empty.

Just bumped up the difficulty to 3 star based on the reactions of the current seekers of this cache.

My attempt this afternoon was once again unsuccessful. I was prepared to spend an hour looking for it but in fact spent close on 2 hours. I took three separate bearings with my Garmin which had contact with 9 satellites, one destroyer & a helicopter. I searched initially at the intersection of these bearings then every other place close to the object. When I had grave thoughts I was enlivened by the destroyer's antics - makes one appreciate just how big Jervis Bay is! Given my return journey to this WP is over 100Ks, will give it a rest for a while. Thanks EyeofHorus.

If you are bush bashing for WP1 then you are seriously off the track, no pun intended.

19-Jun-07
Still nothing despite 1 hour search at WP1

18-Jun-07
I'm sorry, But I don't see the point either. I think we need a little more info for this 1. Thought I was going to come across remains while searching though scrub at co-ords for supposed WP1. Is a very dicey area.

There was much excitment when we learned of a new cache in our vicinity. Had to stop ourselves running out the door immediately. Heading south on friday for a weekend break, we diverted slightly to check this one out. Finding Tuena despondent in the carpark, we convinced him to come back with us for another look. But after a lengthy search (and a good soaking by the rain) we had to give up. We are desperately lacking for inspiration on this one.

Decided to see if I could beat Philma to this one but unfortunately couldn't locate WP1. The place was awash with the promise of another storm from the South. When the lighthouse disappeared it was time to retreat to the UAV but who should I meet but Lucy & Roo. We donned wet weather gear & combined our efforts but alas it was not to be. So your welcome to it Philma! A hint as to what one is looking for at WP1 would be beneficial. If it was a container then you may need a boat.

15-Jun-07
No maritime craft needed for this one.
Giving away what you are looking for in WP1 would be just TOO easy, quite simple as it is.

Just had a look on the GOOGLE MAP and it does point to WP1 being in the water but it is way out, my coords were accurate to 5m when I took them.

Can't wait Mr Horus.
