Not doing this series in order, but noted the relevant information from this cache! Geopuppy will be ready for bed tonight! TFTC! This is find number 434Signed log as KOPHD
Once again, I love the creativity with this series! Had to examine the cache more closely to find the clue. The original book is full but the replacement piece of paper still has some room. I found a space in the old book. The photo is of some characters I met on the way! TFTC
I was surprised by the trail guardians at the beginning of my walk. After calming my nerves I continued on and eventually reached the hide. What a cute set up. I signed the log (well not the original log as it is full but the extra sheet of paper) and replaced everything as found . It is only now at home that I have realised the I didnt collect the clue. Oh no . TFTC
A quick findcas I spend a few hrs trying 4 these few caches...original hide! T4TC:-)
Found it but unable to sign due to 1 million angry ants that have made the cache their home!
For what seems very close, this suburb has a lot of loopy roads that seem to head nowhere. Just when you think you’ve found a great access point the road doesn’t exist or someone is having a garage sale blocking off the street.
For whatever reason we don’t do the garage sale thing even when we are forced to with the owners giving you the death stare. Mrs Woodyrothwell will visit every op-shop within cooee of a location but won’t walk into someone’s garage. Apparently the pressure of buying a mix-master from the 1960’s is too much for her unless there is a volunteer at the counter struggling with the price tag.
We ended up finding a great parking spot once we had fought the gauntlet of a garage sale and only had to walk a few hundred metres up a sealed road. Sometimes Google can lead you astray when it keeps bringing up your search history but other times it brings up gold. tftc

You just have to love a south east Queensland winter, whilst the mornings can be cool the days are often bright and pleasing and a trip over to out to find a few oldies is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
After finding an appropriate spot to park the geowagon, I walked over to collect the prize. It was soon found, log extracted and signature added before returning safely for the next cacher to find.
Very pleased to be able to turn this cache into a yellow smilie and off in search of my next adventure.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Post event caching in the Ferny parts.
Got the bike out for a loop ride along the tracks here.
Found the still hot traces left behind by the bushrangers
Find number 29745 for me.
Thank you K8'n'Co for hiding this geocache.

I was out gathering oldies and had forgotten to log this one. Nice quick find at GZ & in good condition.
Morning trail run through Sanford Conservation park. I enjoyed the creativity of this one. TFTC
When it comes to finding older geocaches, I am really running out in any area remotely considered "close to home". Somehow, the remaining of this series has evaded my direct attention, but I did note it in my GSAK before heading out this afternoon.
Then, I ended up in the area and although it was now truly getting dark, I figured I could go for a look and see if I can quickly grab this icon too. Google Maps told me if I went via the bike tracks in Bunyaville, it would take 18 minutes to get here. I took paved roads and it took just 6 to arrive at the closest patch of road.
It was nearly dark enough to be considered night. Good thing my phone has a light. I grabbed it, put on my vest and trotted up the hill, past the gate and by the big water reservoir. Behind a few fences were properties and I pondered if I would look suspicious out at this dark and cold hour. Seems nobody noticed or cared anyways.
After walking a bit, I pulled out my phone and it said I was 4 metres from GZ. Good timing. It settled and I had to go about 12 metres into long grass, but that's alright. I pushed through and after shining my light about, found some leavings of Bushranger Dan.
Just a little investigation later I was signing the logbook, and noticed a closer trail to follow back out. At 17:30, I replaced the geocache and with my phone torch on, followed the new trail back, then up and to my car again. Thanks for this geocache, K8'n'Co.

By pure chance this is the second in this series we have come across. The first one evaded us, but this one was an East find!
I was in the area hunting a different cache when I noticed this oldie, so took a short detour to find it.
Well that is the first time I've seen that type of camo before! I did have to beat off the thousands of ants on the container before I could access the log. Signed log and replaced as found. Tftc K8'n'Co

Had a lovely walk to GZ past a couple of love struck teddys. Read the newspaper article on the way which made for a quick find. How has that lasted so long? Brilliant. Have a FP.

Finishing off a few caches with Deaf Phantom, lovely walk but it was a bit hard going at stages. We got there in the end and soon had the cache. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Met up with grannysmith1947 to do a few caches in this local area and we were very surprised by such good quality and assortment of cache containers on offer.
Nice hide and a quick find for us today, thanks CO.

The ants are protecting this one well. Other than a steep walk up a hill, it was easy enough to find.
Thabks for bringing me here.

This afternoon, the rain was finally starting to slow to a drizzle, and so I decided to head out for a fitness session during Brisbane's additional COVID-19 lockdown day. My initial plan was Keperra Bushland which was reasonably close to home, and then I continued on to Samford Conservation Park, taking a loop around that hillside.
I thought I would loop up to this location to take the opportunity to commence this *Bushranger* series, with this one being my first. Once I was close to GZ, I saw something a little out of place, and sure enough, it was hiding the cache. I was surprised that this has been able to last like this, in this spot, and so I placed a little more natural camouflage on top just to be sure this one lasts. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and clue obtained for the bonus Bushranger cache. It was good to see an original logbook, but another logbook page has been added, which is just an IKEA shopping list, so something may need to be formally added soon? Thanks K8'n'Co. for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
P.s. I found a few large teddy bears nearby on these trails, that were kinda cool.

Creative hide and story telling. Favourite point from me. Out on geosteed exploring this area to which I’ve never been before. Great trails. Awesome to be in nature on my day off. TFTC.

Today I ventured out towards Samford and surrounds to grab myself a bunch of old caches and a wide variety of other caches to. It was an action packed day with plenty of highs and lows, literally. I climbed mountains, walked along creeks and did a tonne of bush bashing. It was an epic adventurous day and I had a blast!
In total I managed 28 finds and 1 DNF.
After failing to find the cache prior to this one I decided to push through the pain and carry on to find this one. I have no idea how I managed to make it up alive, I was exhausted!
I finally reached the top and spotted something odd so I went over for a closer look and it was the cache. I quickly signed the log and started to make my way back down.

After finding another of the bushranger series last year, we were keen to check this one out. After walking up a hill that seemed to keep going and going we made it to the top and found we were only 20m from the hide. We also discovered we could have driven around to be nearby GZ but where's the fun in that. A quick walk into the trees and my daughter shouts found it. A great addition to the story and we noted the clue. All is good here. Nice and dry. Now to walk back to the car. Just noticed this one hasn't been visited for over 7 months. TFTC
Cache 3 of 3 (and one DNF) for a lovely winters morning.
Lovely short walk to GZ this morning - past the giant teddy bear cuddling it's own teddy bear for comfort, wearing a face mask. The blue skies and perfect weather almost masks the tragedy unfolding all around us. Oh the weird times we are living in.
Great themed cache container, very clever . Collected the clue, signed my name, and was on my way. Nice to see an original log in there too! Now to work out where the ultimate final is... a bit more homework is required!

Second of the series attempted today. We can see why lightning Dan had a superior position and was able to avoid capture. We also found his campsite, and second clue was noted. great spot and great themed series. TFTC.
Picked this up just passing through. Will have to return to do the series. TFTC!
Beautiful winters day hike, geokids always need a motivator for a hill climb. TFTC
A quick find with the geokids and geohound. Walked past this one many times without knowing it is there.
Out for a days caching whilst Sandra was having a chilled one at home with the geomonsters.
Once I'd hiked up the ridiculous hill and caught by breath, the cache was soon found and the paperwork completed.
Thanks!!

April Fool's LOL … what better day to head out & hobble up & down torturous bush trails looking for Tupperware in the bush?
Not too hectic a walk in to this one & fortunately there were no ticks, spider bites, snakes or minor injuries from slips & falls.
The hilly bits of the tracks are quite slippery though so tread carefully.
At the start of the last 'downhill' section Mrs VC offered to do the last leg & save me having to hobble back up.
Shortly after the cache was quickly spotted.
Unfortunately it wasn't until much later when I read the cache page in total that we realised there was supposed to be a hint to be collected.
Oops!
The information about Lightning Dan provides quite a good read.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

I found one of this series some time last year but haven't had an opportunity to pursue the rest of the series. Today we were in the area and Miss 10 and I decided to head up the hill and grab this one as well while my geowife headed back down to the car. We located it quickly and I took note of the clue. However, I am puzzled as I now have a complete set of coordinates and have only found two of the four caches so I'm wondering if I need something from the other two before heading for the final. Oh well, a problem for another day.
Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co.. This was find #4056.

Well the walk in was particularly goaty! And the rain was lovely and the cache container fitting. Thanks for all the effort you put into the game, much appreciated tftc
Walked all the way from the bottom of the hill to the top. Great idea in theory fairly quick find tho
That was a close a escape for me. Had muggles coming up another track while had cache in the open. Lucky TFTC
Out finding a few caches in the area with my son. Good walk and nice read of the news of the day.
Our final find of the day. That's a good climb from around the back and that certainly tested Brenda's replacement knee. They broke off early from the slope while I carried on up to GZ where it was a quick find of an excellent cache. I thought of leaving a TB but was worried that it might be there for some time.
TFTC!
Dora the Explorer!, Phil Sereninty and I were in the area grabbing a few caches. This caches was along a planned trail so we grabbed it whilst we were at it.
The cache was an easy find.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache was replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.

With a few hours spare, I headed out to tidy up a few unfound caches between Samford and Ferny Grove. This was the second of this series found today, and while crouching down signing I was spotted by a cyclist riding past who acknowledged my presence but seemed otherwise disinterested.
Completely forgot to grab the info for the final, so I had to return here after grabbing some licorice down the hill
Thanks **K8'n'Co.** for bringing us here, this find makes #3948. Discover our TB

We parked the geo-beast and slapped on the sunscreen and headed in for a walk to pick up the caches in here. We found another awesome bushranger cache a while ago and wrote down the co-ordinates that we needed, we were very excited today that we were picking up more co-ordinates so that we could piece them together and continue on with our search of the bushranger series.
Great concept of the bushranger paraphernalia and the news articles, it’s great cache planning.
We had a runner sneak up on us from nowhere, and we jumped with enough fright like any good 80’s horror flick could produce. Luckily for us he had on his earphones and ran straight past us without giving two hoots about what we were doing. Just as well because it can get really hard to try to be inconspicuous off the track and hiding in the trees, it was a close escape.
We kept a fellow bushranger out on the track then to keep watch for anymore surprises…

Having spent the morning with NyssaFlutterby and Wombles&Co, it came time to say farewell to them and head out separate ways as they needed to travel further to be where they needed for school pick up time.
I however, was not ready to finish my free time and decided to grab just a couple more caches before I too had to disappear. So having grabbed a nearby puzzle I had solved, I decided to go for a bit more of a walk and grab this one too, especially as I do have the rest of the bushranger series now I believe (apart from the final anyway).
So over and up I went and around, over and up some more, choosing just which of the couple of track options I had wisely. And soon I arrived near GZ and had to head off track to an item that I could see quite clearly from the trail. And yes arriving there I could see where the bushranger had stopped for a break. I felt like I could use a break - perhaps a coffee and a bite to eat too - at this stage, but knew I was fast running out of time for that to be possible, especially as I had one more cache on today's plans to grab. So with the very full log signed I replaced and covered the cache a little better, then was on my way back to the car and off to my final cache of the day.
Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co..

I remember doing some of this series when they were first published but it is a long time since I did the last one.
I was looking for an area to take a stroll and the caches in this area brought back memories of the old type of caches.
I headed up the hill from Licorice Allsorts and huffed and puffed until I was at the right level.
A quick find at GZ. I took note of the information in this cache but time has faded (lost) the information from the others that I have completed.
TFTC K8'n'Co.. I enjoyed the walk to this one.

This was our third stop for today.
After visiting Steel Dog we headed straight up the hill until we intersected the paths again. Had to watch out for a couple of groups of bike riders as we neared GZ. One of the groups must have been flying as they passed us a second time before we got to the cache.
Right up here at the top of the hill, the breezes were nice and it's a great day to be out wandering in the bush!
Cache was soon located by GD and signed, We paused for a moment to acknowledge this lovely spot before heading off on our way.
Thanks for placing this cache here K8'n'Co!
Find number 345 for me.

The walk to this one needs a health warning attached! the heat by this stage was messing with me, and even my water was getting hot and yuck. I stopped under the electrical tower for a sit down and rest where I got bitten by an ant! Ouch!! that was enough motivation to get my arse back into gear and the rest of the way up this hill! My tracking app says it's only the equivalent of 37 floors, but it felt like much much more in 40 degree heat!
Once reaching the top I saw a park and houses!! Did this mean I could have driven up?

This was the 4th today for JaffyG and I. Decided to bush bash from another nearby cache to save time and came across the clever cache quickly. Left a yellow dinosaur. Needs a new log. TFTC K8'n'Co.
After completing a multi cache nearby I continued up this hill to this cache. I made such I read the Punctilios beforehand. I smiled when I saw the cache, very cool . I signed the logbook and took note of pertinent information. TFTC
Another Thursday adventure with barbb and Mrs JAT and today we had our sights set on The Beadles Needle, two Christmas Memories caches and some qualifying caches for Orange Crew's Check The Attributes Challenge (GC6KMTR). This was my last cache for the day. barbb and Mrs JAT had found this one previously, so while I headed up the hill, they headed back towards the car. It didn't take me long to get to GZ and I soon had the log in my hands. Nice set up! TFTC K8'n'Co, it was a nice one to finish on
Out on a Mad Monday caching day with Mrs Wombles and RhoBoCacher today we stopped to round up another Bushranger. Log signed and clue noted we returned all as found. Tftc K8'n'Co

Today we actually found 2!
Getting closer to rounding up these outlaws!

On our bikes caching our way around the Ironbark Gully area. Nice set up for this cache. No trackable as per the inventory unfortunately. First of 11 for our ride. TFTC
Loved his cache and getting really involved the story line of this series. Another great cache, very clever. Beautiful view from up here. Found with Que Sera, Finders 141 and geo dog, rusty
In our usual style we took wrong path then had to climb hill. Cool cache. Good exercise . Thanks
