A nice wee garden (and hut). The cherry blossom was out. No smiley today though. Thanks for the info.
A nice wee garden/park. Found cache sitting exposed and had been muggled so we replaced the log and rehid it back better than found. Hopefully it will survive there. TFTC.
Found myself staring at the container while working out a clue. Added a log, so good to go again. TFTC
Good to come back and finish it this time. Our early visit was incomplete as cache was missing. TFTC
Not seen a pipe shed before - probably something to do with the impractical shape for storage! Lots of interesting history and a pleasant stroll around the gardens. Kind of ironic that there was no water flowing through today. Found all the answers in one pass and soon had the cache in our hands. Many thanks for setting this up and bringing us here. SL. TFTC.
Had a bit of a search for this one but managed to get it before the rain set in. TFTC (Find #44)
Back in Methven after a year for another football (soccer) tournament with our daughter. Flew straight to Christchurch from Mallorca to make it. What better way to alleviate jet lag than to wander round a wee park collecting clues for a multi! This one was missing last year so glad to see it back in place this time round. TFTC, Biggles.
#4433 23:29 A very difficult cache to do at night as you can't look around very easily to find the clues. I couldn't even see the pipe building, so I even though I found the cache at night, I came back in the morning to see the pipe building, which was well out of range of my torch beam! TFTC.
Called by this cache on the off chance that we would be able to remember what to do without walking around the whole thing again. And had a delightful meeting with the Warbut team!! They had just collected the info, and very kindly offered to share it with us, so calculations done & co-ordinates entered we went off to the final!!! Which turned out to be not AT ALL where we'd though - just as well for fellow cachers who can count well!! So thank you VERY much to the Warbuts for a cache find and a lovely chat. Nice to see their more advanced GPS in operation too - it really is time we updated. TNLN TFTC
A very informative cache with the added bonus of meeting fellow cachers. There was not much harmony generated, in our team, trying work out which steps impossibly went to "no where." A cold day made better by meeting folk with the same interest. Thank you.
Really fun multi-cache done a bit after dark. Nice walk around and soon had required answers. Short search and cache found. SL TFTC
Found with tmann421. Bit of a challenge in the dark with our headlamps, but fairly quick find once we had stumbled our way around the multi-cache. Will go back during the day and have a good look at the area. TFTC.
We were waiting quite a while for this cache to be enabled again, thank you for replacing the container. Had a nice coffee break after a more demanding cache earlier today. TFTC
Our second cache of the day and a lovely spot to have it in, one we would never have found thanks for showing this one. We also had some friends down this weekend who have never heard about caching and really enjoyed finding this one and they got there first feeling of ‘if it wasn’t for caching we ….’! Lol
Also the box was water logged so we empted it out. Thankfully every thing inside was still dry .
Took – Bunge cord, and GC
Left – Magic dice, torch key ring

Did not find any of the questions a mystery so probably got them correct, but like others found nothing at the end point.
Sure we knew where it should be but nothing there may need checking on by Team chelmo. But thanks for taking us to this treasure of a park and a great Multi-cache.
We got to this location and after a read of the previous logs and the application of PB’s patented cache detecting radar decided that it was not there. We did not actually calculate the numbers, but we had a walk around the wee garden, so it would be more reasonable to call this a DN search rather than a DNF. Interesting pipe building and water sculpture. Might have another go one day when the weather is a bit more pleasant.
Not to sure of the last question, well actually we were totally baffled by it but plugging some numbers in for it led us to roughly the same spot that looked promising (it stood out) but no cache did we find. (pretty sure we had the right spot).
just not my day for finding it but I enjoyed the park and learning about the pipes

We weren't sure if we would manage this in the rapidly darkening conditions, but everything seemed to work out and we found it easily. An interesting place. TFTC
Quite the unusual and interesting place, enjoyed the walk around. Took a lot of care answering the questions and it all paid off, no problem locating the final.

Had a bit of a wander around, and wasn't sure about a couple of the questions, but managed to get enough to find the cache. Cheers Gav [3597]
To be fair, thought you were a bit harsh on the poor stairs. They have purpose! Made me wonder if they were the right ones, but they led us to the cache, so I guess so.
Lovely spot that would have otherwise never been found. Thanks.

Still raining into the afternoon. Biggest problem was keeping the papaer dry enough to write on. Puzzle worked out perfectly. Thanks.
Not sure I interpreted the clues correctly but had no problem finding the cache in the first place I went to. GPS was 7m out. A quick multi and a good history lesson. TFTC
Got a really good milkshake from the shop and then drank it while wandering around this garden. The pipe sure is huge.
We liked this multi. Mr Buzz was drawn to the final spot during the walk around, must have ESP.
got this on the way to the ski field, i was promised no more geocache hunting and then....
Co-ordinates spot on, cache in good order, interesting park to walk around, great to read about the historical background.
We where introduced to this fantastic activity by The Vikings. This was our first cach, We will go strong from here.
Came up to Methven for a long weekend ski-trip with my company from Australia. We were very disappointed when Mt Hutt was closed due to heavy snow.
I then took to Geochaching with a couples of colleagues which were introduced to this strange activity. At least some of them got very excited about Geocaching.
We spent some time hunting clues in the garden, and then also looking for the final cache.
Took TB Unite for Diabetes and Koala, left TB Flutter By and doll.

All of the clues were straight fowards enough and so we found it quickly.
Nice garden which I never knew existed.

Well it was a lovely drive to Methven, but unfortunately we didn't find the cache. Don't think we were too far away, but after an hour of searching, we decided to come back another day and try again. Of course it was probably just our maths!!
An interesting bit of info about the water works etc, like the methods of getting water over hills and under rivers. And my 100th multi to boot. Left a coin. Thanks.
What an interesting place, didn't look as though it had seen much water for a long time. Loved the shed and the cache.

Interesting garden with an assortment of plants, suprising they can survive in the dry weather we have at the moment especially with the NW 'Fohn' winds
Thanks for the history. I expect it would be much nicer when there is water. Thanks!
Got a bit wet wandering around in the rain - might have been a bit quicker having a 'cachers look' first! Fascinating history for us engineers. TNLN, Thanks.
An interesting little park, with emergency service sirens screaching in the distance. The warning signs about flooding seemed a tad unlikely given how dry the area was, but we imagine, with a good down pour that will all change.

After a balloon trip and champagne breakfast upon landing we arrived back in Methven late morning to do this cache before we headed home. Gathered the clues but there were three muggles in the shelter so boiled the kettle in the campervan while we waited for them to move on. One cup of coffee later they were still there. We decided to venture forth despite them. Easy fing and they did not to be interested in our activities. TFTC
After getting blown off Mt Hutt it was time to walk around this unusual little park a few times gathering data. TNLN T4TC.
An afternoon stroll before a junior rugby match - have wandered here before. A great wee spot and interesting history for the area - human endeavour. Took light stick left swiss hand cream. T4TC. SL.
dad did the clues and mum said look there and I found it easy enough

What a nice spot for a short wonder around just on dusk.

Was passing today for work so called in to drop off a TB that I think would like to hang out here for a while
Mum rushed out here trying to be first to find, while Dad was playing soccer. I chased my brother around as Mum did the maths and then helped with finding the cache. I liked the picture of the man with the car in the big pipe.
1496. We didn't expect to be FTF so that was an added bonus. It was a lovely day to be out geocaching especially after al the rain yesterday.
This is an interesting garden that you wouldn't normally discover as you were passing through Methven. We enjoyed our walk around the garden and then went into the township and enjoyed a lovely lunch.
Took the geocoin and the bracelet. Left a lock and a crystal bouncy ball.
Thanks
Iris & Rodney

62. Oh sooo close and yet so far. Husband had work this morning or else .... As it was we didn't arrive till 3pm and every group of people looked like possible geocachers there to steal the ftf from right under our noses. As it was the Sallies had been and gone before lunch. Yes I know those who snooze are those who loose or something like that.
Any way dropped husband of at soccer and hit the road still hadn't loaded coordinates into gps but had a quick look at the google map. Quick look at Mitsubishi Challenge on the way out to see river bed totaly unexcessable, fast flowing brown dirty water. So onwards arrived in Methven took a turn in the general direction pulled over saw a sign by the side of the road looked at the name of the cache and told the boys to get out as we were in the right place.
Lovely area questions were easy to answer and found cache without too much trouble.
Thanks for the cache, took nothing, left geocoin, signed log.
