I have confirmed that this one has indeed disappeared.
Time to say goodbye.

26-Jun-11
Had a note today that this one may be missing.

13-Mar-11
Took the kids and showing my mum the joys of geocaching. Had tried this cache before but from the other (wrong) side of the creek.
Kids got a kick from finding the cache, and Nanna (Mum) enjoyed the experience as well! TNLNSL TFTC.

09-Feb-11
Decided late in the day to have a go for this one and had an easy, quick find.

19-Jan-11
Leisurely stroll down to GZ from where we parked the car. Came across some remains of a kangaroo and the flies were out in force, but that didn't stop us from getting to our destination. Quickly retrieved the cache, signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. TFTC.

A nice hide with quite a gorge to traverse entity's from our parking spot. TNLN TFTC

28-Oct-10
1855 with A+. 2nd time we hit a weed spray warning at the entrance but fortunately the wording indicated today was open again. We strolled down the greensward to the rapt attention of hordes, sorry herds, of 'roos each side. 'Reverse-zoo' is so apt Team Ladava. Admired the depth pf the gorge and then no problem finding the cache. Thank you. TNLN then off to complete our walk circuit via Emu Bottom Wetlands and maybe spot a platypus.

27-Oct-10
Nice area. Thanks.

31-Aug-10
Like many others, approached from the closest parking and had to cross the (thankfully dry) creek. Cache easily in hand. What a lovely area, like so many around Sunbury.

29-Aug-10
Nice cache, so glad we did this one in the Winter months, would be dodgey in summer when snakes are active.

As usual, went the hard way. Nicer walk that way though, if you ignore the barking wildlife. Thanks.

Came in an night, and provoked a little dog barking from the nearby house. Found we were on the wrong side of the gully, so went through that and had an easy find. Cheers Gav [5621]

Team styx&guesswhos: Glad we took the right way it made it a very easy find for the end of the day. We took the Travel Bug as we are going on a trip in the right direction in the next couple of days left a pink fabric doll. Thx again for a lovely walk saw heaps of roos Team Ladava

team styx&guesswhos: this was a nice easy find for the end of the day, glad to say we went the right way. We left a pink fabric doll and took the TB to come on a trip with us to find a new cache.

03-Mar-10
When you've got 2 choices to which side of a creek you walk, why do you pick the wrong one 90% of the time.
Nevermind, it was a quick scramble down and up the other side to find this good sized container.
thanks once again Team Ladava for the story, and the cache.

14-Feb-10
14-02 10th find of the day at 13:59 and 905th find in total.
After we got here we realised our mistake of being on the wrong side of the wash out. How frustrating it is to see the obvious hiding spot but not being able to confirm our suspicions.
A different approach saw us with the cache in our hands soon after.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks Team Ladava for the caching fun!

28-Jan-10
Found this cache easily, no kangaroos to be seen today. Easy walk if you find the right entrance.

26-Jan-10
I'm sure I was one of the 'sheep' here but eventually found my way Smile

31-Dec-09
Glad I had my mountain goat boots on , in the bush close to sunbury thanks Team Ladava

18-Nov-09
We enjoyed the stroll to this one until the ravine blocked our way. Some careful climbing later and the cache was in hand. Thanks Team Ladava it was too hot for the roos today and luckily we didn't see any snakes either.

22-Oct-09
Another place in Sunbury I didn't know about.

14-Jun-09
RedPaw64 found this cache at 1215. Enjoyed the cache, Nice area, Lots of roos around today which was great as I had the camera. We arrived at a shorter trip to the cache and not wanting to jump the fence, we left the cache till today and I checked it on google Earth and found the other entrance and very glad I did.

Find # 126 around 17:00 on a wet and wild arvo. I too initially took the long road to China but I scaled to washaway like the roos. Soon found the cache with many onlookers. Kept an eye open for any big bucks trying to sneak up on me. They kept their distance. Shame I forgot the camera. Theses guys are reasonably tame and will stay within 5 metres if you don't startle them. TNLNSL TFTC

08-Jun-09
Found ok on a bright but breezy day. Many roos watched over us as we looked at how to cross the gully. On second glance the entrance is very obvious.

24-May-09
Found our last Team Ladava cache for the day at 16:30, but be certain, we shall return! (Today wasn't really planned all that well, and junior cachers a little grumpy!) Despite the 'note' in the cache description.... like many before us we found ourselves looking across a deep ravine at what we thought would be an excellent place for a cache! With a toddler in tow, it was back to where we parked the car, and try a different approach! But, the upside is that we spotted some roo's, had more time to appreciate this reserve, saw that 'ravine' from many different angles, saw some 'dinosaur' bones (!?!...who was I to argue!)...pretended to be Steve Irwin, and found a great cache!
Took supa ball, plastic bug and pilates dvd. Left an egg timer, a groovy chick photo frame, and a pink 'My little pony."
Many TFTC.

24-May-09
Found it safe and well, and in excellent condition, thanks! Quite a spectacular gully when you get down into it, and I never knew it was there, thanks for showing me =)

Took nothing, left emerald city glasses.

I was in the Sunbury area to do a dashpoint, and found this one stored on my GPS and it was fairly close to my position.
I like traditional regulars, and had the time to do it, so I did.
As I approached the cache I was startled to see two very large grey kangaroos who were not at all scared of me, although they did move out of my way. Additionally, about ten smaller 'roos bounded away from on the other side of the gorge.

I crossed the erosion zone, and quickly found the nice large cache, which was in excellent condition.
TNLN
Thanks for the cache Team Ladava.

PS Interesting to see the "Beware of Snakes" sign at the entrance, and also, there may be no dogs allowed but they sure made their presence felt barking in the distance from several different directions.

Found by Bob at 1350

Well, I didn't see any wildlife while doing this one (and I sure did have my eye out for snakes!) - but I did see a rather amazing mini-gorge! I'm starting to think I approached from the wrong side because I ended up having to make a very careful (especially with my injured leg) crossing of the little gorge to get to the cache. Still, it was worthwhile as I was tremendously impressed with the depth and (even) "beauty" of it - almost like a mini Grand Canyon. I guess, from the general "feel" of it and growth on the sides and bottom, that it's been like that for years - although the side don't seem to be particularly firm (just packed dirt) so I wonder that it hasn't collapsed into itself! Once at GZ, the cache was an easy find (and quite large) before I renegotiated my way back across the obstacle.

TNLN

Thanks again Team Ladava - a most interesting feature and I wonder if the Werribee, Lerderderg, etc Gorges (and others on Melbourne's western plain) started out this way.

Found this one on a guided tour of some of the great caches in sunbury quite some time ago but somehow my log is not on the cache! Probably forgot but anyways now i remember.

Visited with Team_Ninja and LastOfTheTimeLoards for a quick find on this one, great cache and a lovely walk. I'm glad we were with those guys otherwise we would have been stuck on the wroing side of a very deep creek! Thanks for this hide, well worth the trip

07-Jan-09
A quick maintenance check and dropped off a TB

01-Jan-09
Found at 2:40pm after negotiating the terrain - lucky it hasn't been raining lately! A small mob of kangaroos watched us from up the hill as we made the find. Found an easier way back to the car on the way out.
took nothing
left hippo shaped bottle opener

A pleasant stroll to GZ, and a quick find as We made bets on while object it would be hidden in. Nice Views of the Sanctuary
Thanks again to Team Ladava

19-Jul-08
Very cool spot - glad we visited.

For those who are "less adventurous", we suggest crossing the (currently dry) creek at the "No Road" sign. For those who are a bit braver/sillier/fitter/younger, don't - it's more fun that way!

Found with Hills Hoist is the quickly diminishing light.

Freaked Mrs HH out when she heard a noise and we told her the massive roos were coming.

Nice hide Team Ladava, nice idea to get people to areas that are being fixed.

Picked up Yorkshire TB and will move it onto Tassie in the next day or two.

16-Jun-08
Found while out with Hingrock in the early evening. A nice area with quite a few roos on display a couple of hundred metres up the hill.

Found by Mr Emu & Demon Boy @ 3:25 p.m., GAFF1 http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GAFF . #23 of 43 on our big "get to 500 or bust" day.

We enjoyed the walk, and it was interesting to see the badly eroded gully. We had logged the cache and just turned back to the car when we spotted the movement of "the mob" between the hills, NNE of the cache. It was amazing to watch as all-bar-one of them effortlessly bounded over the two fences. We watched for a while, and left wondering if the wimpy one ever made it over to join his mates. Thanks for the large cache in this nice bushland reserve Team Ladava. If we could get some rain to green things up, this place would be even better.

Found in conjunction with CDNB on our Sunbury Saunter. What a classic example of how extremely serious erosion can be caused by land clearing. Had the possible cache site identified as we approached and N of CDNB quickly had the cache in hand.

23-Mar-08
Went the scenic route, had to engage AWD and traction control. Certainly was scenic and interesting, nice. Then an easy find and no roos today. TFTC.

22-Mar-08
There were no roos to be seen today; perhaps they were basking in the sun somewhere out of sight. The erosion, on the other hand, was quite striking ... sort of the Sunbury Grand Canyon! The cache was found easily, and I enjoyed being brought to this spot. TNLN; thanks Team Ladava.

21-Mar-08
Found on our Good Friday Sunbury Search. Didn't see any kangas near here today. Quite an amazing exhibit of erosion here, luckily I approached the cache on the correct side of it. TNLNSL. TFTC Team Ladava!

09-Mar-08
We took note of previous logs and decided to take the unorthodox way to GZ which turned out to be the correct one. The sun was almost at its peak out there in the paddocks and so we did not hang around. Logged at 1510 hrs, left 30's badges and took key ring clips.

[224] 1.40pm - Found on our Sunbury day with cdmark, Team Rubik and GeoJnr - as noted by cdmark and Team Rubik a bit of a scramble was needed to get there from "the other side" - TFTC Team Ladava - cheers

27-Jan-08
Our 16th cache on our Sunbury and beyond marathon with Team Rubik, Team GraMon and GeoJnr (D had to work today). Well we took the more scenic and challenging approach to GZ which we thought added to the flavour! No roo's around today although we may have seen another one of those drop bears. Seems to be the area for them. Once we crossed to the other side the cache was soon in hand and swaps made. Another nice size container as well. Thank again Team Ladava. Cheers.
T: Toy game
L: Craft stickers.

27-Jan-08
This cache may be called 'no dogs allowed', but the whole time we were at GZ there was a nearby local dog being quite constantly 'aloud'! Otherwise, this cache was quite enjoyable to find. TNLN & SL at 5:35pm. Thanks again Team Ladava for the cache.

27-Jan-08
Like many of those before me we approached from the wrong side but saw the chance to cross as more an adventure than a hazard. A short slide down and scramble back up the cache was found and it was great to see such a large container. I didn't see any bucks but we did return via the sensible route. I just noticed also that some people have logged a find on this cache up to three times! They must really love it.

Thanks,

R - B

Came from the wrong side initially. Could see the hiding spot but the next 10m was 5 star terrain rating. Wandered around in a big circle and retrieved the cache from the obvious hiding spot. Lots of roos around here.

02-Jan-08
We found the right way in but the kangaroos were a long way from where we were walking. After we found the cache container and signed the log we carefully looked over the edge and was amazed at the amount of erosion that has happened around here.
Thanks again Team Ladava,

We found our 5th Team Lavada cache at 3:05pm as the 11th of 24 on our Sunbury and Beyond Tour III. "H" made the find while I removed a grass seed from my sock. Interesting erosion. Thanks for the cache from D & H B-A.

16-Oct-07
After finding the correct way to access this cache we headed off on a pleasant stroll just before sunset, we have never seen this many kangaroos around. They certainly weren't afraid oh humans as we could get relatively close before they bounded away . Once at gz the cache was found in the first logical position we checked
Picked up the TB and left a dinosaur
Thanks for the cache and for showing us this great little reserve

16-Oct-07
Found by Mary & David at 1605. Greetings to Barry and Ann! What a marvellous place. Delighted to see so many kangaroos here, but they didn't want to meet us today. The erosion is severe and shows the power of water in the right circumstances. One side benefit of the drought is that it isn't getting worse. Took can opener, left Australia kangaroo souvenir magnet. Also dropped off TB Via Novus to start its tour of 'the eastern States'. Our thanks once more to Team Ladava.

We got somewhat confused getting to this one but eventually found a way in that took us to the right side of the creek. We saw a few roos who seemed to want to show off their fence jumping skills as they zig-zagged across in front of us.

Left - Cox's Cruiser TB which was going to go on our travels with us next week but we would have been taking it back where it had come from so hopefully someone can move it to pastures new. TFTC!
