That took a bit of scrambling! Looks like the property overhead dumps their cuttings over the edge. Found after about 5mins, working from one accessible end to gz. TFTC
Found after a short search with tassie expat while exploring this interesting area. Thanks for putting a cache here.
Well after a long time looking amongst the rubbish, I had given up when wazza9 Decided to help me. Eventually found , GPS kept bouncing around. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to CO. You need good shoes as there is lots of rubbish and trees.
Parked in the shopping centre and then had to walk around to GZ. After some in-depth investigation a container was found and log signed.
Thought we could grab this while waiting for our pizza... not so easy!
Found it in the end......
Thank you cooroy scouts for placing and maintaining Perigian Pirate for us and others to find and enjoy!

Driving towards GZ I spotted an awesome place to park the car although there was another car already parked close by. I missed it on first attempt so luckily there are roundabouts on every corner here and I can already hear the geometrists trolling me with online insults.
So after a couple more roundabouts I was ready to pull up behind the other car thinking that maybe someone else was already looking for this hide. There was no other reason for a car to be parked here. Then I saw that it was a bomb with the windows down so might have just been a criminal’s taxi left to transform into a rain gauge.
There was no one close to GZ so my hopes of crashing someone else’s party quickly evaporated. A little overgrown at GZ but nothing to write home about when you find a cache without blood loss. tftc

Not my type of hiding place but I found it, more like a regular than a small.
Thank you

First cache for Peregian this afternoon. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to past logs and I pulled up in the shopping centre. Had to jump down into one of the filthiest GZs ive been in, needs a REALLY good cito, but I had nothing to carry rubbish in today. Once at GZ, I was scratching my head, but past logs and the hint led me further until I found the cache safely tucked away. Thanks for the cache cooroy scouts!
246. Yeah don’t park at the shops, there’s an easier spot nearby. Probably wear some proper shoes, you need to get right in there. Find your spider stick to get through the bush. There are so many places the cache could be, but persevere until a bigger hiding space further in. The cache is actually quite the big and can fit swappables. I like the themed cache, thanks
Ahoy! M’hearties!!
There’s treasure to be found in them there rocks!
Time to loot the place!
Gold in them Hills!
We signed on the ancient scroll and added our name to the list of treasure plunderers.

dahumbug I found your cache Perigian Pirate on 24/7/2022, 9:50 am. This is my find 3808 and find # 1 today. No problems locating this one. Coordinates spot on. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a false start figuring out how to get to this one, barb2e and I were finally at GZ. My GPS pointed one way and hers the other, she had the eagle eyes and made the find here. A nice pirate, thanks for the cache!
Out on the Sunshine Coast for the morning with krcamber and collecting a few caches. Tftc
Nordar Borgle was the canteen-owner and location caterer for Holy Wood in the great days of Moving Pictures. What little the starstruck performers could make for being in a clicks was generally spent here, on grossly over-priced food, usually a stoo of nameless meat or a salad where, conversely, the meat was so fresh it was capable of scuttling or slithering off the plate of its own accord.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled north to Peregian Beach to attend [E's Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8K1N5). We next took a walk around the beach town with assistance from the newly published *Visit The Beach - Peregian Beach* Adventure Lab, before then travelling south to Mooloolaba for lunch at The Wharf. We then took a drive around to Point Cartwright and completed the rest of our Sunshine Coast adventure with a walk around the headland completing *Zara's Walk* Adventure Lab and a Location for *Oh, the places we'll go!".
We probably made this cache more difficult than it needed to be. Saw an opportunity to park but instead we went all the way into the shopping centre, and then approached the cache from the non-conventional direction. A scale down the wall was required, but once we were at the right elevation, it didn't take long to then find this oldie cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks cooroy scouts for the cache placement, and dahumbug for its ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 07/2007 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A drive to the sunshine coast with Willis007 and Bella (geodog) to continue collecting caches on the sunshine coast LGA. Today was to continue with the Sunshine coast LGA challenge and to support E smileys Celebration event. We worked our way around the coastal areas collecting caches and spending time at caches that were not there . It was a fun day and will still have to come back again to this area to finish off the challenge.
After the event, we set off to conquer more caches in the area while working our way back home. I saw this one and said we got to go here, it’s an oldie! We found the cache very easily and a reasonably quick find. We signed the log and replaced all as found, then continued on with our journey. Thanks for the cache all good with this one.

Patrol14 and I have ventured north to attend E’s Community Celebration Event in Peregian Beach… Leaving the Southside of Brisbane at stupid o’clock this morning we’re in for a big day by our standards…
Because I can’t calculate travel times accurately we’re early and so have time for a couple of caches… this oldie was high on the list for the trip…
I picked the correct entry point and spotted the container on approach…. Tftc…
We then collected swag on the way back to car…

While on our way to the event up here on the sunshine coast we decided to stop and grab as few caches before attending.
Found the wall but trying to find the right spot was hindered by the prickly plants. Peppa made the find and liked the guardian for the cache. SL then returned as found.

Having had lots of rain here, walking far off the path needs gumboots, which funnily I didn't pack for the sunshine coast holiday from Melbourne! I hoped there was a path from the supermarket end, but alas, no.
Worked hard for this one due to the abundance of rock caves! Neat cache. Thank you!
Betwixt the vines we searched high and low until TeamARF yelled the yo! I loved the little pirate!!!! TFTC
Out and about in this beautiful part of QLD today, enjoying the company, and weather ️ TFTC
Never know what surprises you come across searching a rock wall!! This time there were no joe blakes, spiders, rats or broken glass. Did find a cache in good condition in the 28th spot I checked. Some nasty vegetation in the area though. Thanks to the bug and cooroy scouts for maintaining this old cache.
I'm sure I looked here when I was just a baby-cacher. Much older and with more experience, we were back today and made a find. TFTC!
Ahoy! We found the little lost pirate. Spent some time with him before replacing him back to his safe rock cave.
Cruising around peregian area yesterday, this was the last port of call before heading north for the afternoon.
Rolled into the carpark above gz here and after a moments hesitation decided just to scale down the wall to make things faster and more interesting.
Then the hesitant rock cave shuffle dance began until i finally discovered the piratey treasure.
Another rock climb to freedom and none of the smoking staff were any the wiser.
I love reading the old logs on caches that have been around awhile.
So many names i know from different parts of australia or the globe.
Thanks dahumbug for keeping this one alive and the cooroy scouts for placing it originally.

After a lovely 'little walk' (27kms, in the growing heat - hmmmm, not crazy honest), Mrs SP, OBC and I took an afternoon break before venturing back out again this evening for "just a few more eh?", Suuuuure! And a promise of food. The evening was starting to happen, but the light was still good, and thankfully a little bit cooler now too. An interesting spot once we found the right approach.
Thanks cooroy scouts for entertaining me at this location.

Today, Mrs Slow Puncture, Pprime and myself set out on a marathon walk. We had planned everything that was capable of being planned, however we could not plan the weather. The heat wave arrived, and while there was smiles and bravery at 5 am, the smiles were dissipating by midday. Eventually, we had to acknowledge that the sun was stronger than our willpower, and call it a day. Before then, we managed 27 kms, quite a few caches, lots of jokes and banter, and many amazing views of the ocean and the Noosa headlands. This was one of those caches .

Saturday. Having the lovely pleasure of doing a long walk earlier today with PPrime and OBC, we’d had a couple of hours rest by now and were keen to grab some more caches (albeit drive by ones mostly) and then some well earned dinner. It’s been a long long day and we were talking of having dinner and drinks after just a couple more caches. The day was getting long in the tooth. It was Mr Prime (yet again) who made the find on this cache and he had the honours of putting our names in the log. I think my contribution to the day was on the very slack side of things, but I was in heaven in this part of the coast and would love to move here one day, oh, and the company of both OBC and PPrime was also a definite plus!!
This was the 12th of 13 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***dahumbug*** for showing us this place

The further up we venture it just gets more beautiful, and after widening our search here the little cave was soon discovered with the loot.

Glad to get this one. What a mess this place is in. Looks like it is a dumping ground for fallen trees.

Seems GZ is now a dumping ground for trees that are no longer required. Nevertheless we eventually found the cache.

*Time to be a leader, a responsible cache owner, a thoughtful person regarding humanity.
Groundspeak or Geocaching HQ have been slow to be on the front foot regarding this matter so its left for us cachers to lead the way*
**"With discussions here about whether or not or it is okay to ignore closures etc to go caching, please let me offer some perspective.
Given the likely death toll from COVID-19 in the USA will be in 6 figures at least (that’s tens of thousands) and more likely in 7 (that’s millions) as well as in 8 figures worldwide (that’s tens of millions), not following restrictions designed to save lives is industrial grade selfish.
So our streaks may have to end.
And our physical caching may have to stop.
Hopefully not too many of our lives will end but some most definitely will. And I am certain around the world some of our caching family have already died.
COVID19 hangs around on surfaces so you don’t even have to physically be in the presence of someone who is positive. Just touching a surface (cache?) they have touched recently and then touching your face will do it.
I really really hope that a “Hail Mary” comes through and we get a vaccine in less than the expected 18 months. But until it is actually here being given to large numbers we are all at risk. And while older people are clearly more at risk young ones are dying too.
As I am sure some of you are wondering about my qualifications to offer this view, please check out my background. Not too hard if you have Google or another search engine. “Dr Bill Griggs” should do it.
Please stay as safe as you can people.
And please follow the rules designed to keep you and all of us safe.**
Cheers to Bill, aka Brad&Janet for the information.
Yours in Caching,
Corey aka dahumbug

Been wanting to find this for a long time as I visit my mum once a month and drive straight past. I did stop here once before with no luck but that was when I was a newbie. This time I waited for compass to settle and coords were spot on. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Tuesday Afternoon Cache Hunt saw my amazing Geowife KaleidoscopeCass and I hitting a few more of our local caches. This one fell victim to our finds. TFTC!
Found with my amazing geohubby WallabyTim on our weekly geocaching adventure. We parked in the wrong spot and walked the perilous edge of the road to get to the cache, where we discovered an easy parking area. Then it was time for a bush bash through a very overgrown area. Can't say I enjoyed that with its copious amounts of rubbish. Littering is one of my biggest pet peeves! Anyway...it was still another smiley on the map with no harm done
This is our last day in Coolum, so the plan was to get up early and find a few caches in Peregian. It was a later start then anticipated as we had closed all the windows and blinds in the van and slept with the aircon on, this made the morning like midnight inside. Then we couldn’t just run off to find caches, Coffee Club is across the road so off we strolled for the morning beverages, two coffees to go and a couple of milkshakes for the muggle teens.
Finally we are in the car and heading to Peregian Beach for a few last caches before setting sail home. We found a nice close parking bay for the geo-beast and headed off for our search. The coffee must have dehydrated us a little bit as we needed a drink of water at the nearby bubblers…

Nicely hidden. Wear long pants. My pen stopped working so I'll have to return to sign log. I took a photo of your guardian though. Cute little guy!
Staying up here in beautiful Queensland from Melbourne, I headed out for a drive to do some caches in the area. 1st one for the day, thanks
Left geowife to do the shopping and wandered round to GZ. There is a lot of fallen trees to clamber over to reach its hiding place - not sure if this was caused by Cyclone Debbie or the council have just dumped them there. All good with the cache. TFTC dahumbug

Came from the wrong side of the cache and had to face dropping into the scrub. My first cache in Perigian Springs. Thanks!
I did a search for the nearest Coles (from where we were staying) and this one came up. I looked on the geo-map and there was a cache nearby so it was locked in.
A bit of a detour from the carpark found me on my way to the cache. I decided not to go for the higher terrain approach on the way there but did use it on the way out.
After clearing a few spider's webs with my head the cache (and it's guardian) were soon found. Thanks for the cache dahumbug. Cheers!!
Now for a bit of exercise. Onwards and upwards.
