Tough search and even tougher climb out of the valley to my next find. Thanks for the hide.
Started this multi back in December 2017. Finally returned to complete this one. Great time of year to be in the hills for a wander and a cache hunt. Took a bit of hunting and needed a PAF before finding the final. Just a note, it's up top not down below. TFTC
following in your footsteps B12, thanks for replacing this one or the whole wet adventure would have had a different outcome. You can take just so much rain so we too are heading home. TFTC ozlizard
Whilst in the area today we ventured to these parts to make a find here before trying to attempt the eagle view trail again, unfortunately the heavens opened up so we only had time for just this one.
Replaced the container with a 200ml Sistema.
Thanks ozlizard for the find.

Thanks ozlizard for the find.
what a great view on a glorious but crisp day to be in the hills..had a good search but no luck for me and my group today..will definitely be back cheers
We are staying in the area and I grabbed the info for this one yesterday morning. WP 1 and 2 weren't too hard to find but the final wasn't on my way to my next cache so I left it. I came back in the afternoon approaching the short way and there were a group of teenagers at GZ enjoying the cool water so I left empty handed again.
I had another go this morning as part of my morning run and had a fairly good look around GZ but didn't see any container.

This appears to be all that remains of this cache! No container or anything else to be found
What a hunt. And just before my battery run out. There was no water in the river so was easy to navigate.
NOTE to FUTURE FINDER: recommend bring a spare small sistema to leave at WP1, to protect the BLUE card; remove damaged pale card (obsolete); and take log sheet away for placing into container at final (where it belongs).
I have looked at doing this cache for many years but for some reason never started it. Since we were in the park I decided today was the day. Great weather and views, wild flowers and plenty of water what more could you ask for. We headed up to way point 1 with a little huffing and puffing along the way. Once at the top we quickly found the broken container and a couple of sets of coordinates. We quickly eliminated one set as these were only 18m away. For future finders the ones on the blue card are the coordinates you need. We also fond a log sheet, which should not be here as there is another way point to find before the final. Off down the hill we went to find way point 2, after a bit of slipping and sliding we made it to the second way point where the container with the final coordinates was quickly located. These were noted down before setting off to the final. We found a suitable location to cross the river, well I thought it was suitable. One large step across the raging waters and I was safely across, however when Lazarus made the same leap he had a step/slip before crashing down on the other side of the river. Off we set for the final location one a little slower than the other! I should have had the camera out. We found the cache in a nice location, signed the log and replaced as found. Many thanks ozlizard for taking us on this journey around the park it was well worth it.
Out on a perfect Spring day caching in the hills with geo-buddy hhheddy who suggested we tackle this one. Crossed the river over footbridge, noticed two kids bikes in water below, not been there long; suspicious. We headed up hill to WP1, a little huffing & puffing along the way. Once at top we quickly found the broken container. Also surprised by a large bandicoot! Off down the hill to find WP2; after a bit of clambering, slipping & sliding we discovered the small container revealing final coordinates. Setting off toward the final, we thought we'd take a shortcut jumping across the river; hhheddy's leap faultless whereas my landing slippery but kept dry. We found the final in a nice location; signed the log & replaced as found! Great weather and views, wild flowers and plenty of water - what more could you ask for!
Thank you ozlizard for this journey, well worth it!

We found GZ on a previous walk. We came back today (after previous log), but along the river this time from another direction, so thought we'd have a look. Despite a very apt (empty) hidey hole at WP1 GZ and some pretty thorough searching, we came up empty handed for WP1. Cache may need some attention overall.
GZ container has perished thoroughly. WP1 GZ container appears to be missing. Thanks for the hunt.
Found the first. Container has completely disintegrated. I have placed log in a spare plastic bag. Didn't have time for the onward search, but have noted coords for next visit.
Fantastic view cache needs maintenance as container is broken. Did have anything on me to fix it but co ordinates for next cache still visible
WP1 container brittle and broken. Could not proceed as was doing Eagle View trek clockwise but this multi seems to want to go CCW. So noted WP2 coords for future visit. Thankfully timmyh log below cleard up which coords to use (as there are 2 sets). Hope to get back as young members of group very keen to find the Philosopher's Stone.
WP1 was found surprisingly easily. Good coords and just happened to catch a glimpse from the right angle. Container here has perished and the next cacher may consider bringing a small sistema. Made the mistake of thinking the coords on the lid were for WP2, but an unsuccessful search there had be back checking the cords, where this time I discovered them inside the container on what I had dismissed as a finders card.
Made my way to WP2 despite having somehow missed a turn off and having to scramble the last 50m over rocks by the rivers edge. The container was easily found and then it was off to the final.
I had suspected this would be the location after having read previous logs and with this part of the park being a childhood stomping ground. I have actually had a swim in "Rocky Pool" during my younger days. Made the search much longer and more difficult than it should have been. I am sure that the spot where I eventually found the container was one of the first I looked at, but it took me at least another two goes - in and around the scouring of other possible hides and a trip across the creek - to actually see it.
An enjoyable multi with great views from WP1 and some nostalgia at the final that deserves a favourite point.

Successful in two stages but neither of us nor the geokids wanted to venture in the direction of the next stage as we had parked on the other side of the park. We shall return! The coordinates at the other stages were spot on.
Many moons ago we started this multi, grabbing the first WP whilst walking the Eagle View Trail... We were headed in the wrong direction, so left the next WP for another day! The second WP was also found on another visit to John Forrest, but again we were headed in a different direction With some glorious weather on the cards, I decided that I would finally finish this one off... With the creek running & the wildflowers blooming, this is the perfect time for doing this multi
After a nice walk to GZ, although I did not take the easy way I was soon getting worried about just where this cache would be... There were also some crazy muggles nearby that were having a swim, which was going to hinder my search So after sitting on the rocks soaking up the sun, I thought about where I thought this one would be & after the muggles eventually moved on I begun the hunt & found the cache in the area I thought it would be
TFTC ozilizard [^] Wish we had done this multi in the order it was intended as it would be a fantastic walk, however we have still enjoyed finding the WPs on our previous visits... You never know, we may just come back another day to do the loop! Cheers

We fumbled around a for a while looking for WP2 and again at the final, but, lucky for us, previous finders left enough information so that we were able to avoid the mistakes they made. Even so we managed to make the terrain a 5 as usual and we have some bruising and scratches to prove it. Thanks ozlizard a memorable multi.
I've had my eye on this cache for a while ... today was the day and I think I did it the hard way! My first mistake was when I did "Crikey Shes a Beauty" (GC2F1CY) and then continued along the track from there instead of backtracking to cross the bridge. After while I realised my error and decided to go bush instead of going back to the bridge. Crossed the brook 350+ metres from the WP1 and bush-bashed from there. Managed to find a few kangaroo trails along the way, but it was mostly straight slog and it got harder as I got higher, until I finally emerged into the clearing around WP1.
I then spent a good 15 minutes searching for the container, before deciding to have a cuppa. Brewed the tea, then sat down to enjoy the drink and contemplated what 'astrohiker' had written about this WP. Then continued the hunt for a bit using Astrohiker's method, but it didn't seem to be working for me ...
So I gave up! Decided it was a DNF, repacked the back-pack and was ready to go when a rock, about a metre from where I had been sitting, caught my eye ... moved the rock and and there was the container! Plugged the coords into the GPSr and headed off, initially toward "Eagle Rock" (GC1CHY3) - but then decided to turn back as it was getting too late to do that one today.
So I turned back toward WP2 and made a poor decision at a turnoff and found myself on the wrong side of the brook again ... another crossing, another bush-bash, albeit a much shorter one this time, and a quick find. plugged new coordinates into the GPSr and headed off toward the final.
Another crossing was made and I arrived at GZ, where I found the cache after about 10 minutes searching high and low.
Signed the log and dropped in a path tag, then made yet another crossing of the brook on my way back to the bridge.
Thanks for the hide ozlizard ... I thoroughly enjoyed doing this cache ... glad I had the DEET with me though and I guess I was lucky that I did it while the brook is dry. Definitely a fav from me for this one!

This was a great walk and we really enjoyed this multi. Geo-missus slipped on the pea gravel above gz and came a cropper - there will be bruises tomorrow. Replaced the log sheet and placed in zip lock plastic bag. Beautiful day to be out in the hills.
Dropped in for a cool dip but Mrs Moneybox fed a giant leach then after getting out of the water she put her hand on a rock and got speared by a very sharp piece of glass. Took TB and did our best to dry the cache and logbook on a hot rock while we were in the water. TFTC
Both enjoyed the walk, as usual seems like we took the hard way to get there! Left Sackboy TB, picked up Sulu TB.
Took me ages to find WP1. I turned over everything. In the end afterwards all i needed to do was step back & just look from a metre or 2 back. Alot of smooth rocks on my way to WP2 in the creek bed. Tripped over one & I NEVER trip over rocks. Twas a good fwd fall. Nearly broke wrist but just a sprain (I think) & 2 good open flat cuts.Could have been a lot worse. Now WP 2 was a problem. Couldn`t find WP2.Looked everywhere, then finally saw a small cylinder near some greenery. It had simply rolled away from where it was, or where I thought it had came from. Was aching in left hand/wrist so took a break.WP 3 was reas ok to find. Will move the coin on that i picked up when i can.I dropped off Star Wars Sulu character. If it was in winter I wouldn`t have been in the Jane Brook creek bed lols. Nice loop walk. TFTC I think....
Eventually I found it. I hunted for this about a month ago. Waypoint one was the easiest part. After climbing the hill and finding my way to waypoint two I couldn't go any further. I searched high and low before leaving very disappointed. As it worked out I had been looking in the right place but waypoint two was missing. I returned today after seeing waypoint two had been replaced. I decided to walk up from the lower carpark but I think I took the wrong side. The thorny bushes made going tough. Eventually I got to the cache and sure enough it was right there where I expected it to be. I pulled it out and opened the container and nearly lost it again. I dropped the wafer thin cache note and it slipped down into the leaves. I had to put my glasses on to search for it. Once I found it I replaced the cache and set off for GZ. I turned up to find a couple sitting right above it and three families enjoying the creek below. Hard to believe you can search through hundreds of metres of bush to find GZ in muggles paradise.
This is a great cache and a very enjoyable bush walk. T-0 D-GC TFTC

(Chwiliwr team catch up log)
Came back today to do this cache.
Chwiliwr replaced WP2 for the cache owner and it is a small plastic pill box 4cm tall by about 2.5cm round in the same spot the other was in.
After that we went and found the cache.
Thanks for cache and walk up and around the hill.

After finding the newly published cache the better half and I went for a walk up the hill to find this cache.
Found WP1 after referring to the hint but had no luck at WP2. Don't know if I took the wrong coordinates, it wasn't there or didn't look hard enough.
We still had a good time and enjoyed the walk around the 'hill'.
Will have to come back and finish this later.

We combined this cache with Eagle Rock, to make a good few hours walk with some great views. I suspect that a more careful read of the "philosophy" at WP2 would have helped with the final cache... Still, once we saw the feature -- we knew that we must have found it:-) Well set -- thank you!
Phew finally!! This is my third attempt at this one. Found WP1 a while ago but couldn't find WP2. Then I lost the coords for WP2 and had to refind WP1 (which wasn't easy!!). The final cache took a while thanks to the dodgy phone but was really chuffed to finally get my hands on it!! Awesome cache. Loved every minute of it! TNLN cheers!!!!
Wow what a great view!
Managed to find the first WP but may have got the second co-ords wrong as I ended up in the dry creek bed!
Will return in a week or so. Probably to do the whole track.

Great cache thanks! I was in the park for work earlier today and so approached WP1 from the East - ish. Took me ages to find it and i was about to give up. I had a good view of the eagles riding the thermals. I was definately ready to stop at the end but still had to find my car! Well worth the hike Cheers.
This was an awesome cache to do and one that I would highly recommend if you have the time.

The beginning was a good place to start and then at the end we found the cache. A beautiful area and a very popular walking area on a Sunday. TNLN. Thanks ozlizard
My first find... good fun getting there. Probably walked much further than required. Took nothing, as I didn't have anything to replace.
Very popular area on a Saturday....

Did this one at the same time as PaddyK 10 (The Dragon Gate) ... Good idea knocking over 2 a the same time but made for a 3-hour trek of it all up hill and down dale!! Grabbed 3 TBs (New England Aquarium, 22 Tigers and Bonza the Kangaroo). A good exercise - TFTH
That was a long trip. Hot and dusty. Take water. Found the first with some difficulty as te gps was all over the place. Lovely area saw some wild life birds Kanagroo and bob tail lizard. recommend the trail to the brave and the bold. \took \pirate and Dragon GC and Bannana TB. Left smiley and coin. TFTC
I'm supposed to be the one renowned for being nasty, but ozlizard you are even nastier with this cache, eventually found the cache. There are tigers on the loose now so take care when getting this.
Ahhh good to see Mr K-Maximus and myself weren't the only ones whom struggled to find WP1, although i guess i am partially to blame, being that i was to lazy to take my GPS out of the bag and once i did i found it almost immediately.
Great use of the area, enjoyed the variety of different places and trails that have been used.
Left: Heap of TB's (Bonza, Banana, P&D, NEW England Aqua)
Took: Nothing.

Well, this would have to be one of the best bushwalks we've done! The bushland was just so beautiful this morning. Found wpt1 quickly - very good hide. Didn't realise others had had some problems till we came to write this log. Wpt2 was no problem and we knew what to look for. Had some morning tea here and saw a large long-necked turtle basking on a rock. The cache itself was the hardest thing to get to. The GPSr had us going up and down on the wrong side of the river bank for a while. Even after we'd made the crossing it took lots of coaxing to get any useful information from the device - it really does not like those rocks. Anyway, after a few minutes we found the cache. Took HerrSasch's 1st Geocoin. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with this one. Thanks ozlizard.
After returning for another go, finally found it!
Great area to enjoy.
Watch the rocks being slippery if any rain.
Have taken Sydney the Kuddly Koala and will drop him off next trip in a week or so.

Excellent adventure on my first day of caching with Calebreckers. Searched under every stone at WP1 and had to wade waist deep across the river to get to final cache! Thanks Ozlizard.
[Australian Branch] We had so much fun on this adventure. Did that a little while to find WP1, but mainly because we were searching to hard, and turns out co-ords were exactly on afterall. Got very wet in the swollen river, but all worth it. Left a funny shaped stone that we had found in the river where we'd had a swim nearby. TFTH.
Wow! I really enjoyed this cache a lot.
It has been near the top of my closest to home list for a long time, and I had been putting it off because of the trouble everyone else was having at WP1.
Well I decided to have a go today, and started up the hill without having read the directions. So I took the direct approach and sort of lost the trails for the last 300m or so, leading through some prickly bushes.
Arrived at WP1 and what a view - fantastic. Totally worth it, even if I hadn't found the little box. However, I was somewhat surprised and very happy to find the clue box after about a 10-15 min search, and without the hint or the spoiler pic! I've now checked the spoiler pic, and it doesn't seem to match where I found the box, so disregard the pic for the time being?
Carried on to WP2 down a great track, and had no trouble finding the box here. I have been to JF many times, and have been along a lot of trails, but I have never been on these ones. Light was fading fast, so continued on to the final GZ and after a somewhat precarious river crossing found the box quickly. TN, left Herr Sascha's GC.
To top it all off there was a brilliant sunset tonight, the sky was literally on fire. A wonderful cache and tour around this part of JF for my 650th (GC+GCA) find. Thanks!

Very glad to finally claim the find on this one!
My first attempt was the day it listed and I decided to make a night-time dash for it. Like a lot of the other cachers, I spent about an hour at the first WP trying to find the &^%#$ container with no luck. That said, there were some magnificent views from the location with all the city lights spread out before me. Unfortunately, with my torch light fading, I had to make a hasty exit to avoid getting stranded out there for the night.
Today, however, was much more successful. It was a lovely day for a walk and there was so much beautiful scenery to admire. I surprised several kangaroos along the way, including one huge, old boy a couple metres from GZ.
The river was completely dry, unlike my first attempt when it was a raging torrent and this made getting to the cache a lot easier.
Thanks for a very energetic and enjoyable cache!

WP1 was lucky, WP2 was easy . . Final was just "awkward" to approach. LN T:Kansas GC
Armed with the photo clue to WP1, today that was a walk-up (and how did we miss it? It was well within our search area last time!) and we hardly had time to admire the view on a lovely clear-aired day before continuing around the loop towards the next waypoint.
Wpt2 was found quickly, with MBL spotting the "not quite right" spot immediately.
As we approached GZ (on the wrong side of the creek), we saw a young couple splashing along and then searching among the rocks, suspiciously close to where our GPSr was pointing! We left them to it for awhile, then made our way down and across the creek (which is much more fordable than it was last time we were here!), but they'd disappeared by then.
(Anyone know a young male cacher with a tattooed left shoulder?)
While PBL took the high road, MBL took the road to the cache instead, and found it quickly. No log today, so the couple must've either given up or not been caching after all.
No swaps, but a pleasant multi on a pleasant day.
(Oh, and this was our 100th gc.com multicache!)

Hooray!!! Third attempts – On 6/10/07 – no problem found wp1 after look at spoilt photo, also no problem with wp2 when I arrived final coords the kids (muggles) have swim so today we come back and just two of us. So we have a good chance found the cache, Tenna found it before me…. It was so excellent view and enjoyed walked the bushland (National Park). Swap coins, SL. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt. Excellent job. Please see the photos.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Spent more than an hour searching for the cache. Unfortunately, we didnt bring a photo of a spoiler with us. We will be back with it soon. Thanks for the great location.
Hooray!! Success at last.
Off we went, my step Grand-Son and me, up the now familiar hill with steely reslove, and armed with the spoiler picture of waypoint One in case of emergency.
Well..i must have been a good Devil, because the caching Fairy had left the container out for us..yes..there it was just sitting there out in the open... oh no, i thought..its been muggled and the co-ords wont be there. But they were! Now i had a problem! After two unsuccessful attempts at finding this WP I had to find the hidey hole to put it back.! Cant seem to win on this one..LOL.. Anyway, strangly, i found what i think to be the spot almost right away, complete with the small stone to rehide it with. Ironic really, that i could find the spot so easily, but i couldnt find it when the container was in it.
On to WP..No probs there, then onto the final cache site. Worked out the correct route right away, then back to familiar terratory...scrabbling over and looking under various likely spots. Found after quite a search, to end what had turned into quite an epic for us.
Took the Old Man Cacher GC, and left the Together Einstein GC.
Also swapped the Robot Tattoo's for umm Rugby Tattoo's.
Thanks for the adventures this cache gave us....

Third attempt now..First one was a non starter, see my log below. Second one i didnt log as DNF as i only had limited time before work early one morning. But absolutly no excuses this time, I had all afternoon.!
I was determined to find the container at WP1 this time, an hour later..yes an hour i was somewhat less determined..LOL I reckon i looked between every crack and crevice, looked under every stone, let my fingers do the walking and thought like a cacher, but stil no joy...I even looked at the spoiler picture.! next time i will print it, and take it with me, even so i remembered pretty much what it looked like, but still no joy...Ah well.
I did enjoy the climb straight up, and also the walk back down following the brook, passed by an interesting rock, is it the one mentioned in the description? I thought it kinda looked like a Rhino Have included a picture, what do you reckon?
Will return another day, i hate to be beaten!

A lack of preparation (as in: reading the description!) had us starting off from the wrong carpark and, like TRD, walking up past the tunnel. We came back along the brook, which is quite the raging torrent at the moment, failing to find a place to cross until we were right back to the bridge. Nice walk, though!
We climbed to the vicinity of GZ and started looking for small plastic containers. And looking, and looking...
After a long and frustrating search we gave up and went away, as a Dutch family came up and admired the views (even flat old Perth has better hills than they're used to!)
Who is this meant to be hidden from? Muggles or cachers?!

I returned today after making a total mess of the last 2 visits to WP1(which I had found but couldn't see for looking)and let my fingers do the walking.
I continued on and probably took twice as long to finish the cache with all the stopping I did to look at the scenery and wildlife. The track does not allow you to look around while walking, one of those ones where you have to watch the foot placement. WP2 and the cache were easy to find after expending a bit of effort.
I liked the quotes included in each spot sort of gives you a hint of what to expect.
Swapped trackables TN L:2 swaps
t4th (and your patience with me annoying you)

I'm having trouble finding WP1. Rocks are the bane of my caching. I will be back with reinforcements.
I'm changing this from a note to the DNF as stupid me can't see for looking. The owner has shown me the error of my ways. Thankyou

Had a great day to be out and about walking in this beautiful hills spot. Took the scenic route in along the brook and along the walk trail.
Arriving at GZ for WP1 I spent some time to take in the clear skies and great views over the coastal plain and city. I spent considerably longer looking for the waypoint which despite my protracted search being interrupted by muggles I found nonetheless within a metre or so of where my GPS'r had GZ (Doh!). Waypoint 2 and the cache were found quickly and without interruption.
A nice day out and a good adventure. TFTH!
Took: Book of quotes!
Left: Tin of Robot tattoos!
Picked up: Earthcache GC
Dropped off: West Racer GC

Hiya PaddyK,
You beat me to it.! I took a look up there this morning before work, ended up parking in the wrong spot, up the end of Pechy road instead of the location listed.(Doh.!!) So off i went...had a lovely walk along the old railway line, all the time watching my GPS Compass pointing away to the left without any sign of a track down....and where is this bridge i kept asking myself..
Anyway..soon realised my mistake but i had reached my halfway point re time allowed before i had to be at work..Sat awhile on the wrong side of the valley, staring wistfully at what was probably GZ...
Your right..its a lovely area, and i really enjoyed my EARLY morning walk, the only muggles up and about were 4 Kangaroos...giving me that "What are you doing??? Look"
As i sat looking over at the hill i SHOULD have been on, i was asking myself the same question..LOL
Congrats on the FTF.
