This needed maintenance, but my enthusiasm for upkeep on this one has diminished, so visited today to remove the container.

18-Mar-13
Container is cracked at both ends and the bitey ants are starting to move in.

I didnt have the usual supplies to tape it up or repair it.

Find number 2 for this little trip. Saw a lot of bush looking for this one and the track on the GPS looks like someone's scribbled on the screen. Gotta get it out and use it a bit more often I think. TFTC Smile

22-Jan-13
I visited 'Halfway Up', and then continued onto this cache. The box is cracked open both ends. TFTC.

30-Dec-12
we took the geodogie but she's small and quiet so did not uset the wild life. Had to search around a bit whilst GPS was sorting itself out around the trees.
Container is a little damged.

29-Dec-12
container is a little damaged and no longer water proof, zip lock bag also has a couple of small holes in it. Although the log book is quite dry and provided it is put back a particular way it should stay dry.

Another easy find going cross country. Tftc

Well, this is accidental geocaching at it's finest.

Was babysitting nearby, and the kids wanted to go for a bushwalk in the reserve near their house, that they've just recently discovered.
hey, that's this one!

We found the half-way up one, and they were all excited about finding it!
Oh why not, lets find this one too!!!

Saw a roo or two bounce up, the kids seemed to run up, i seemed to..trudge along, piggybacking one of the kids.
Apparently the place looks very "Indiana Jones"est, according to the 7 year old. Hmm, i dunno what she's talking about, but that's ok. It looks pretty. Smile

04-Jul-11
Found this one with my geokid he's 4 and loves it TFTC

[Lovely spot! Found the cache after a lot of back and forth, mainly due to a rather poor GPS reading. Great place to hide a cache - for those of you having trouble, here's a hint;] it's not at ground level. [TFTC! Took a car, left a minifig.]

Not too difficult if you follow the hint

07-Aug-10
This was a nice day for a walk in the bush. After a short search at GZ we found the cache signed log and off to the next one. Thanks for the cache.

07-Aug-10
We missed this one some time ago so, today we were in the area and took time to go for a short walk. At GZ we were a bit astray of the right spot but crystal warrior expanded our search and made the find. All good! Cheers......

Very peaceful. Signs of birds which makes a welcome break from the rat race.

17-May-10
With 131 further up the hill, now its time for a pie at the shops.

02-May-10
Its taken me a while to get to this one, but Im glad I finally did. Its a nice area and it was a great autumn afternoon to be out. I noted Oz Lurker also visited Halfway Up today, and I was rewarded when I got here with a shiny new pathtag Smile sweet.

A very enjoyable, not too strenuous cache, thanks guys.

02-May-10
Nice quiet space out here, with no muggles spotted at all. Did this one first, then onto 'Halfway Up'.

TFTC

26-Apr-10
News just in: Batgirl calls study break as brain starts to dribble out left ear....
Well...not quite but it was good to stretch the legs, relax the brain-cells and enjoy the sunshine....sigh...now back at home and back to the slog I'm afraid. TFTC though. Smile

24-Apr-10
Cool cache, GPS was a bit off its face care of the poor weather (very cloudy, bit of sleet)

Second find of the day (First was "Halfway up" or GC20N7K)

Quite enjoyable hike soon worked off the cold Smile

TNLN, TFTC

03-Apr-10
Found this cache with geokids in tow. Second find of the day ("Half way up" the first find). The clue helped the find. Nice view of the surrounds from up here. TNLN. TFTC.

02-Apr-10
It was a very easy find. The clue really helped. Nice hide too. TFTC.Cool

23-Mar-10
nice walk to this, found quite easy and out of the way, rock may be of interest to muggles. Swapped out toy bracelet for toy ring and highlighter. TFTC!

06-Mar-10
So this is what bushland that hasn't been burned out in the last 10 years looks like! Came up from "Halfway Up" to this one. I love all the little trails in this area, very nice and peaceful up here and not too steep. Cache was found under the typical out of place rock. Thanks for cache Winglens!

16-Feb-10
Found this while going for a bike ride. There are some really excellent mountain bike trails around this part of Jerra and I incorporated a ride with a cache exploration.

Awesome hiding spot although I think the rock may strike interest from bushwalking muggles.
Nice work with the container too. When I get around to hiding my own I may have to steal your idea.

Cheers.

05-Feb-10
A quick walk from Half way up and needed the water we grabed when we parked the car. Nice spot of bushland here, great day for exploring too.

16-Jan-10
Found on an afternoon stroll through the bush with the family. The eldest found it herself.

Great hide.

The Block CrewBig Grin

09-Jan-10
A early morning walk/cache whilst staying nearby with muggle friends. Once near GZ (so many hiding spots!) I used the "Where would I hide a cache" technique, and had the goods in hand within seconds. Lots of jogging and dog walking muggles about, but not near GZ.

Thanks winglen.

02-Jan-10
We have just moved into the area and finally got sick of unpacking boxes .. what better what to explore the local area than to track down a cache or two.
This one showed up only 250m from our house, so it was an obvious candidate for our first in the area.
Lovely evening walk, its very interesting bush, there's hardly any undergrowth.
TFTC .. we took the Blue Heart TB, we'll find a new home for it

27-Nov-09
Visited cache tonight with Justjessie...

27-Nov-09
Returned to log this cache as I had previously been here with O319 back in April. That was before I had my own geocacing name. Left blue heart TB and took back the hair tie we left in April.

Had a nice evening walk up the hill and found the cache. Nice area that we hadn't been to before - wish we'd brough Geohound Cougar as he would have loved it here. TFTC Smile

Last for the day and the last before I go back to WA. Nice and close to where I am staying. Nice hike to get the blood pumping. TFTC from MR MACCA.

31-Oct-09
The fifth cache for Ju and I this afternoon and unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife on our trip up here, we saw rubbish. There was a computer and a shovel (obviously used to construct the nearby bike track) and a lot of garbage. We brought down what we could carry but there was quite a bit more scattered around - unfortunate as this was a very nice area for walking in.

Visited Ra's Gecko - SL TFTC

11-Oct-09
Reasons I like caching - Number ohhhhh, say 262 ?

Another beaut spot that I wouldn't have known existed if not for a small plastic container hidden nearby. What a lovely little hill, criss-crossed with trails. Thought it worth almost dropping off another cache nearby to bring more people here but then thought there is some bleedin' obscure squirrel puzzle blocking my proposed spot.

Thanks for bringing me here

19-Aug-09
one awesome hike up the hill... thanks for the cache

04-Aug-09
A pleasant evening stroll - no roos spotted though.

Took nothing, left nothing.

01-Aug-09
This was a great quiet location at this gz. Found quickly on my walk around jerra TFTC

15-Jul-09
Nicely hidden, but easy to find cache. This is my first time out, so I'm glad it wasn't too difficult. It's on a hill just behind where I live so it was great to not have to worry about going to far away. Never used the GPS before so I got a little confused when the compass was leading me astray. I needed to calibrate it, then directions closer to the target were more reliable.

Was a nice jaunt in the foggy bush just before work.
Continued on for a nice 6 km walk around the hill.
Will take my daughter for an adventure in a few weeks, she'll love it!!!

Quick find. TFTC.

05-Apr-09
Went for a strol with wife and two Geokids, wife and older daughter found it, nice hide. Comments about the GSP being a little erratic are correct, walked around in a bit of a cicle to find it and then found it at GZ. Put GSP on the ground reading GZ and then looked 30sec later and it was 10mts to GZ. Stayed that way for about 3 minutes and then retunred to 0mts.

T - Little Miss Naughty (5 year old very impressed)
L - Hair tie

05-Apr-09
Went and found it with the family. Good walk.

14-Feb-09
A good walk after the Budgie double.
Nice views. Good Hide.

Took Keyring; Left Magnet.

14-Jan-09
Thanks. This was our second attempt to find a cache but our very first find. The in car GPS got us pretty close but it took a while to find the right hiding spot. It was very quiet and the trees provided some shade on a very hot 36 degree day.

We were visiting friends in Jerrabomberra, and as the kids were bored with the conversation they went and did this one on their own. 12yo found it along with a huntsman living in the hiding place!

Our 2nd find.

mugglers everywhere! bugger will be back

06-Nov-08
Found this cache on my way home from work. It was a good short walk and a great way to finish a long day. My commendations to the previous finder as I looked in a spot where I thought it would be first and didn't find it but after looking all around the place I went back to my original spot and had a good look. It was hidden so well even I couldn't find it when I was looking for it, so there's no chance for little mugglers to find it in passing. Good job!

24-Aug-08
We had a great walk and there are fantastic views.

This was one of two I did in the area this afternoon. I really enjoyed the walk up to the GZ and once there found the goods in quick time. You've chosen a lovely quiet spot to place a Cache. Thanks for taking me there

Quick find and a nice walk up here. Dropped in coin. Thanks for the cache. ZZ7

19-Apr-08
Paul, Tracy, geobaby Huey and I found our first cache this afternoon! Big Grin Getting to the vicinity of the cache was straight forward enough, but, after 15 minutes of walking around and around in circles, we were on the cusp of giving up when we found it. The position I noted for the cache was slightly different.
Now that we've found our first, we'll seek to plant a few caches in the area, because there aren't many around Jerrabomberra.

05-Apr-08
Another quick find this morning, with no wildlife around to distract us. We sat back while a new cacher poked and prodded around; we had already spotted the cache, but thought we'd give him a chance to spot it, to his credit he did (eventually). TFTC

21-Mar-08
Wow a hard climb from the Bicentennial side.

The GPSr had us all over the side of the mountain but we finally found it!!! huzzah

That one definitely burned some calories.

Thanks, this was our first ever cache! Easy enough to find and it was worth going anyway for the rustic environment. Also got some exercise... Smile
