Sadly this one is gone, and it's hiding tree chopped up and fenced off. We didn't have any supplies on board to try to replace it while we were there but hopefully the CO or someone else heading up might be able to do something... Maybe replace with a micro? It's a shame to lose it! :/
I had a quick look here, despite the recent dnfs.
Alas, I was not successful either. The quickness of my look was partly to do with the fact that it was snowing as I searched, and partly due to the fact that the whole area is now fenced off and gated. Further back I could see a "Private Property" sign on a tree, so although I did enter the gates for my search, I was unsure of whether I was trespassing or not.
Like previous loggers, I think that this one needs to be checked out by CO and probably moved (if it still exists).
...The area is beautiful though!

Looks like there have been bulldozing works in and around this car park, suggest CO resets. Great location otherwise
Looking at others photos looks like there was a map and more logs, so lots has been moved around and cache may no longer be here
This spot has obviously seen some heavy machinery and we doubt that the cache is still current.
Thanks robtas

Our first search in Tasmania and didn't find it
A lot of maintainance in the area. A lot of the treelogs are moved and rocks too... Perhaps it got lost or found by someone who didn't know what it was? Or we just didn't search right... Pity cause we can't come back for it. Greetings from Holland!

Failed to find this one on the way into the park, but a pretty easy find on the way out!
This was my first time visiting Tasmania during a family holiday. We took the car and traveled on the Spirit of Tasmania to arrive in Devonport, and over the next 12 days made our way around this beautiful state. We stayed in Devonport the first night then continued our trip through Launceston, Freycinet, Hobart, Strahan and Cradle Mountain then took the over night boat trip back home again. We did quite a number of walks and hikes, saw many waterfalls and visited a number of very interesting and amazing places.
After spending a fantastic couple of days at Cradle Mountain it was time to head back to Devonport and home. A nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache.

just logging another visit as we did not correctly log the drop off of the travel bug we deposited last time. Thanks NoWorryMan for the help with how to use the trackables!
Found it! Easy find, Tftc! Dropped a travel bug we found in Nelsons Bay in NSW into the cache. Hope it finds its way further along
The layby was full of muggles as we drove up to this one. We decided to do it on the return trip only to find more muggles! Mr Oyseka and LumpyJ got out in the rain to find it while the others stayed in the car. They spotted the hide but did they tell us? NO! not until we were thoroughly wet! NOt to worry another smiley face for a cold day! TFTC
Mr Oyseka and Mrs Lumpy were looking in the rain when Mr Lumpy decided to help them out of their misery and went straight to the cache. He does have a knack to make it look so easy. We picked up Myrtle the mammoth who will travel with us through Tassie and then drop him in a cold place.
SL between groups of muggles. It's been pretty nice all day but drizzly now. NINO TFTC
Had a bit of a search on my hands with this one. great location and nice hide. TFTC
Found it twice
First (24th) there was no TB. Now in the rain, with wombats and pademelons around, there was this cute bear

Finished walking at cradle mountain, on our way out. Took trackable, left water pistol. TFTC
Zal and I spent 10 days touring Tasmania and it was the most amazing trip ever! We got engaged at Cradle Mountain and saw so many wonderful things. Even the weather played nice most of the time Thanks for the hunt, it is always tricky logging lots of holiday finds so apologies for the cut'n'paste log, Zal included more details
Nice little cache which we picked up on our way out to Strahan after a morning horse ride and then afternoon walk around Dove Lake. This is a special cache for us as it is our first find as an engaged couple! Zhaomin accepted my proposal on the shores of Dove Lake on a beautiful day at Cradle Mountain. There is now a GCA virtual you can find at the location http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga7029 Cheers from Sydney!

One for the bucket list, always wanted to go to Cradle Mountain and this cache was on the way in. TFTC
Found on our way to Cradle Mountain with Flim and Flick and Ginger nut - chestnuts. Weather a bit cool and blustery.
Moving on today toward Cradle Mountain as our short sojourn in Tassie draws to a close. Great news, a cache at the turn off. Stopped and had the cache in hand quickly. Mother dragon is right on song today with finding caches. Left jumping bean and took TB. SL. Perfectly quiet whilst all this happened, and while the cache was replaced, but three cars pulled in as we were about to leave. Excellent timing. Well, on to enjoy this beautiful area.

Found after a few minutes search on our way out of Cradle. Two trackables left, nothing taken. Great cache!
Quick drive by on our way home after a lovely stay at Cradle Mountain. Actually spotted it from the car. TFTC
nice easy find with no hint required whilst out and about with newbie cachers david.griffths We left a TB that Mrs Chickp picked up in collinsvale, Hobart during the recent school holidays. Everything in good condition today.
Found on a lovely trip up the mountain with ryanofoz! Thanks for such a beautiful location for the cache! Also first cache in Tasmania
#5401. Plenty of evidence from the local population on the ground. Popular spot for muggles to stop. Fortunately, they didn't stay long. TNLNSL. TFTC.
At the gateway to Cradle we enjoyed the gnarly tree and things of interest at this pull over site. TFTC.
A quick find as we left cradle mountain and headed back to our camp at Tullah.

Nice drive on this beautiful day. Last time we were here we had a big hailstorm! Cache took us a little longer as we were looking in the wrong spots but the hint helped out. Took 1 TB, other one not to be seen. TFTC robtas.

Finally I decided to rent a car and do a little tour around the island. Lake St. Clair and Cradle Mountain were the main stops and in between I took a break from driving here and there. There was a lot of beautiful landscape to see. I really enjoyed the tour and the various hikes I did along the way. Some of which I found thanks to your geocaches.

I half expected to be looking under a rock, but on this occasion I was half incorrect.
Yay - finally found it as a big swarm of bees flew over. You could hear them coming and I was ready to duck for the cover of the car. But didn't need to in the end - they just flew over head oblivious to me on the ground hunting for plastic containers in the bush. Great spot for a cache though - thanks robtas for setting this one up.
While hunting this one a strange noise was heard. OMG a swarm of bees passed overhead. Luckily they kept going. Cache found after a search that took too long lol. TNLN. Thanks for the hide.
It was a wet and windy day today and I didn't want to spend too long out of the car. Luckily this was a quick grab and Iwas soon out the gales and back into the nice warm car on our way to Cradle Mountain. I think we will need to change into some warmer clothes when we get there.
This is amongst my highest caches.
