Sorry, the cache location is no longer suitable as a safe hiding place. Thanks everyone for visiting "Touch the sky"!
Last cache of the day.. This cache needs urgent maintenance. The top lid is completely cracked and the contents of the cache completely soaked. Thanks for the cache..
Nice easy find at GZ but found the lid cracked in half with the weight of the rock on top of it so the entire container was full of water. Not much I could do so tipped out the water, managed to sign the logbook, and returned the cache upside down to hopefully stop it filling again, but will require maintenance. TFTC
An easy find, and part of a good bike ride. TFTC. Number 50 for me. + Aussie $1 coin; - Koala TB
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
Retraced my steps back to this one after 'Moo', quick find as the cache was out in the open a little. Its cover has gone some what due to roundup poisoning, as stated in previous entry.TNLN TFTC
Came down to this one from Paddington's Johnson, made a quick find as the cover has been killed off with spray so cache is visible from the trail. Will need some attention before there is some clearing done and the cache is lost. Once log was signed then was faced with the task of going back the way I came to the car. More hill but less distance. Was a good workout and a nice day for a walk. TFTC.

Jeez, that Wellington wind can be bitterly cold, quickly made it up the hill, not cold anymore. Spotted the container from ~15m away, fortunately the concealing plant lost its sting a long time ago. Tried to hide a bit better, but had as much luck as the previous finder.

Easy find after a short walk up the track. Cache exposed and in view from the track but seems otherwise fine.

Stopped by on this nice Wellington day, windy = nice this time of year!
A quick walk up the hill and back. Will have to go further some other time.
+Dinosaur
Hid the cache with rocks to obscure somewhat as was visible from the track.

Was in the area and couldnt resist in doing this cache while waiting for Mrs Yeetree. Great spot and great views for a cache. TFTC TNLNSL
We found the cache covered under a pile of rocks in the middle of dried (gorse?) bush. Not sure if all this dried/dead bush will be cleared in the future thus exposing the cache to anyone working in this area. Otherwise, [ nice views from up here. TFTC. Edit: We picked up the Traveller Australia geocoin from this cache but forgot to record the tracking number before we dropped it off in Digital Exchange (GC13F40) ]

Quick find on a lovely sunny winter day. Had to escape the farmer who drove by on his quad.
Dropped two GeoCoins.

Lovely walk before dusk, very cold walk back to the car but would be really lovely in summer
Took the short trip to the cache. The cache was easy to spot from the track. I picked up a travel bug which I am going to take on holiday with me next week.
Crazy little valley. The bush is getting a chance to recover but it is mostly farm paddock at this end of the walkway.

Found this while showing Charlotte a few of the caches in the Wellington area. Glad I wore some boots I don't mind getting muddy.
in Gedanken war ich heute da, aber ich verspreche dir, ich werd ihn eines tages heben.[:X]

Good walk up to the Skyline Walkway. The cache was uncovered and easy to find. Tried to re-hide as best we could.

Released "Green Aventurine" into the wild, hope it will make its way through the world and end up in Germany with my god daughter...
Went up to the cache and camouflaged it a bit better due to the dying goarse. Also dropped Aragorn LOTR Travelbug.
Pleasant walk up from the street end. Dead gorse makes a VERY easy find. Needs to be moved before the farmer burns off. TNLNSL.
The second of two after having cleaned up Paddington's Johnson a little earlier on an afternoon walk from home. This one was a little too obvious for comfort - it was at the base of a gorse bush but all the gorse around had been sprayed and was dead so the cache container was visible from quite a long way away. A well-worn path off the road to it made it a 30-second job to find it. I see others have commented similarly about the exposure so it should probably be moved slightly to somewhere a little more challenging to find. TNLN & TFTC!
Visited this cache via Skyline Walkway. Descended down track until we were about 16m away. I turned on the compass on my GPS for a more precise bearing and pointed up the hill - "up there, 16m away, in that dead gorse somewhere". The gorse has been recently sprayed and it's all totally dead and totally unattractive. Unfortunately I'd spent an hour only two days ago walking though gorse with bare legs and I wasn't really up for another Death By A Thousand Prickles. So we had just given up and started back to Skyline when I glimpsed a shot of blue in my peripheral vision. Turning to look more closely I spotted the cache lid from 16 metres away, under a very dead gorsebush.
Now that all the gorse is dead, it might make sense to rehide this somewhere else nearby.

We went up to cache after yesterdays "cache is wet and damp" alert - wasn't too bad, moved the content in a hopefully more waterproof box (please close it properly after you found it).

Really nice weather in Wellington today. Wanted to go for a walk with a friend, and we did some caches along the way.
Cache was a bit wet when we found it, shook out as much water as I could, but probably still damp.
TNLN, really nice view, thanks for the cache.

Out and about with morriskiwi on a wet wellytown afternoon(whats new!)
we came up from below via park vale road but ended up coming down to find this cache which seemed a lot easier than climbing up to it ,we both ended up going for a slip and slide on the way down again;)

Well we found it after being spiked in the butt and legs many times! Great view, but the wind was starting to pick up so we decided not to proceed to the skyline walkway today.

Took the easy option. Bit muddy after overnight rain but was well prepared with my gumboots. Nice suprise to meet the cache owner and have a bit of a chat.
