This has not been found since December of 09, and all the DNFs seem to be indicating a problem, owner may need to check.
Couldn't find this one, disappointing after our effort to climb up the side of the hill.
Lots of development on land below.
Builders/owners advised that all street front was private property and no right of access was permitted.
Found owner who was OK with me seaching for path but was not aware of any paths up the hill (bulldozers have been busy)
Found steps cut into embankment but ran into tall grass overgrowing apparent pathway. Ran into lantana and gave up with 130 meters to go.
Need to negotiate access with developer.

We found the site perfectly and the view was amazing however what we didnt count on was the Eastern Brown Snake who decided to take residence in the Cache hiding spot. We couldnt keep searching for cache as grass was too overgrown and snake was venimous however did find and old treasure sitting purched on a rock right beside the site. Must have been left by prevous geocacher who was taken so much by the view that they forgot it. Will go back in the dry season when scrub etc is not so grown over and snakes less active ......ekkkkk!!!! Great spot worth the visit
We took the longer but what I believe to be, the easier, walk up SL T Lizard L Ball TFTC
Decided to lock up my bike and take the steep option up the dirt track. Easier on the way up than on the way down I must add! LOL GPS led me around the water tank and then to the middle of the path. ??? Had an extensive search around nearby trees and bushes but could not find the little swine? Bad light and an increasing amount of bites forced me to give in. Gutted. What a view though. It was a long cycle back to the city with my head held in shame.....
coming from the north side and climbing the steep burnt hill...... found this around midnight right away; is still there and in good condition;

Definitely a nice view!Quickly found it! Logged it with my flatmate. She lived in Cairns for years and years and had never even been to this place.
thanks for the cache!
thanks for the cache!
Please URGENTLY check this cache due to large fire in the immediate vicinity of the GZ.
The owner needs to double check this cache after a full brush burn-off along the whole face of the hill this afternoon.
Hope the cache is ok was not going to risk walking over the hot ground looking for a cache whilst smouldering trees and brush is still sparking and flaring.
The glow on the hill is still quite bright and even noticeable from the main road. Will look for this one again next visit to Cairns.

My first interstate cache.
And boy did i go up the hard way.
GPSr is still wanting to put me into hospital.
But got to the top and was aptly rewarded for my efforts
the cache name says it all really.
thanks for the great cache.
i thoroughly enjoyed it.

What a great view over cairns was very rewarding after taking the hard route straight up the north side of hill. Quite an easy find lots of wildlife around the cache. Left GC
Over here from Perth on a geocaching/sightseeing holiday after visiting family in Brisbane. A quick find once we got to the top. Took the long and easy way down. TFTC.
17.05 - Steep climb up the sealed service road. Nobody around - had the whole place to myself. Except the mozzies that is - and with Dengue epidemics in the district not something to be taken lightly. Really enjoyed the view. -/+ 0. T4TC
Excellent views. Had to ask some kids if there was a road up but in the end I scrambled up on the northern side opposite to where the road comes up I think
Our first cache for the day. I thought I'd worked out the best spot to tackle this cache from but after a short walk on a nice cement path it was pretty obvious the only way up was via a very steep looking dirt track which was definately not an option for us as poor Mr Burdair's knee is not working properly at the moment. So we set off to look for another vantage point this was quickly found and we worked our way up the nice flat road. The views were fantastic and it was a nice easy find. Great way to start the day. TNLNSL Thanks for the cache.
Found at 1:15pm. Great spot for a cache! The views of cairns were great. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera. Cache was dry and in good shape. TFTC!
Found it. Indeed, quite a view. Got the hell scared out me by a massive goanna on the way up! I did the climb in thongs (flip flops for the international ppl), and regretted it. Grippy shoes should be worn for this one.

Took some time out to stretch the legs after completing Top Secret. A great short climb had us with cache in Hand. Replaced the log book and double bagged it to try and keep the moisture out. Remove many damp items from the cache, we suspect that they be salvageable and shall end up in the green bin. Cache is pretty dry now although it is mostly the domain of McHappy time toys. Thanks for the hide and the fun of a little hill.
Removed old log book and will also try to dryout/recover the contents.
Removed old log book and will also try to dryout/recover the contents.
The content of this cache are saturated and the log book is basically pulp. The container is in good condition and was not concealed when we found it although is was in it's original position. Bit far for us to fix up so hopefully someone closer can attend as the view is excellent.
There are two ways to approach this cache. One is a gentle walk along a bitumen service (no challenge). The other is a scramble up some fairly steep inclines and some shoe bum slides back down. Not our first choice but we did it anyway. This cache is in need of a dryout and new log book. Must start carrying these things so we can do it on the spot.

Back online after being offline and out of geocaching for a few months due to serious stuff. Would really appreciate a little help if possible getting the bluelens caches back in order. Thanks very much to those who have already. If you could take the extra time to perhaps let the contents dry out or email me if there are more serious problems. Thanks for you patience.

Driven past here many times but never took the time to walk to the top. The effort is worth it. Log book is still saturated (now more like pulp), so could not record visit. Took a blue squishy worm, left a penny.
Thanks for the cache, nice little climb but the views were worth it!
PS Forgot to add, the log book was saturated and we were unable to sign it!

Another energetic walk for some super-unfit cachers. We eventually found the easier way up and located the cache in no time. The log was extremely wet and just about fell apart in Bumblebee's hands. We tried to dry it out, however the rain had set in for the day, making it near impossible [;(]. Noted that the 'Farewell Pepper' geocoin was in this cache and decided to retrieve it and take it to a drier location. Bumblebee tore a bit of paper from her waypoint notes and wrote a message for the log. Left a glow-in-the-dark butterfly. A new log book is a must once all the rain stops.

Steep climb from the North (up and down the hard way). Lovely view over Cairns, and a blue sky with cotton ball clouds.

[Finally had a reason to walk up here.
Fantastic views of the city.
When the clue said there is lots of water up here, I didn't think it meant that I would get stuck in a tropical storm. It was nice and refreshing after the climb up.

glad to see I am not the only one racing up the steep way
and after the cache also opted to take the easier - but much longer way back to the car ... didn't feel like sliding down the hill on my butt
TFTC and a pleasant afternoon stroll

Thought I would be smart and tried to drive as far up as I could via the residential streets. Did not help a whole lot! Then I thought I would be smarter, and tried to trace around the back route along the houses. Helped even less! I think I must have taken the most difficult route to the top! Wisely took the easier route down, and walked back to the car.
Thank goodness for a couple of drink taps up there - expecting it to be a short walk, I did not take water. The cache itself was easy to find.

Found with 'thepyramid'. This is my introduction to geocaching. Had fun and 'what a view'. Hope to find more on our trip down the Queensland coast. Thanks

We introduced my dad (stickybeaks) to geocaching with this one. He enjoyed it except for the hard climb at the start. oops!

Beautiful area. Got to it from the wrong start point but never mind got there in the end. TNLN. thanks for the cache.
Not a bad spot but like most others I took the hard way up.

Wandered up to "What a View" today with the family. Have been wanting to come up here for years and have never had the incentive before. Glad we did it now. Took some pictures although the day was hazy, it was a good view.

I have often wondered how to get up there. Even though I have driven past hundreds of times, I had never been up. Glad I did. Yes it is a great view. Took a bit of circling around the neighbourhood to finally work out the easy way to approach GZ, but it was a nice pleasant stroll.SL. TNLN. TFTC bluelens.
I struggled through the bush to find the nice cache easily after the effort. The way down was more comfortable but considerably longer.

FTF. Yay!
Headed up to the cache the hard way, remembering halfway that I already know a much easier way and resolving to return that way. My GPS refused to work today- maybe it doesn't realise that we are back in Cairns since I switched it back on, as it refused to give a position and I had to reset the whole unit 3 times. Just as well it did eventually decide to work, as there are lots of potential hidey holes and I had already walked past GZ once without spotting it.
Lots of nice goodies in this cache for all ages. Took: compass carabiner (I looked up the spelling for this!) Left: car keyring, phillips screwdriver and TB which has come from Brisvegas (this TB is just launched and the owner is watching it expectantly)
