Logs
Seeing as we now won't be down this way in the next few weeks, we've decided to archive this cache. In some ways we're surprised it lasted as well as it did in its location. As this one had a bit of activity, we're leaning towards hiding another cache in the area, but somewhere more secluded.
It seems that this time it has gone walk-about, so disabled for now. We'll get down and have a look in the next couple of weeks, and have a think about what we're going to do with it.
the cache has been muggled as was not there when i came back today to show the view to the missies this was on the 5th
Bugger, had a good hunt around and I really wanted to get this one. Oh well, if it's not there, I'll have to get it next time I'm past. Thanks for the exercise anyway.
We took lots of photographs from here while waiting for hordes of muggles to clear - but as they left more kept arriving. We were about to leave when a straying hand located the container - success!
Warning: Our son is a DOC Ranger in Franz, and they are not sympathetic to geocaches. The last one they found got thrown out in the rubbish. Needless to say we did not mention this one to him, but if anyone from DOC is at the lookout be extremely discreet.

We have been advised that the cache has fallen out of reach. Will be down that way in a couple of weeks to resolve.
Spotted a small pencil and a piece of paper on the ground as I ascended the steps. Closer investigation revealed it was indeed the cache log and pencil. Also found the empty cache container but in what I am sure is it's correct spot. Suspect an accidental muggle find.
Signed log, replaced pencil and log in container and restored all to normal. Hence cache all present and correct as at around 2pm on 20th January.
Great spot, well worth the short walk up to this one for the glacier view. Many thanks for the cache.

Found during our driving holiday in NZ in company with our elderly parents. What a great view - almost impossible to find between muggle activity. Came here after a spectacular helicopter flight over the glaciers and Mt Cook. TFTC - Dropped in for a visit the NZ Trekking Geocoin and Ellie the Elephant TB which is travelling with us during our holiday.
Enjoyed the walk to this but there were haps of muggles present. Watched helplessly as this was muggles and fell below the viewing platform. Unfortunately it was before I signed the log...but I had spotted it

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Landing in town, followed by birthday cake. Glacier - what glacier? We didn't pick a great day to visit here, as the heavy rain and low cloud meant that we could not see the glacier at all from this viewpoint. Great walk all the same and super to see the 'steaming' river. Jim, the birthday boy, found the cache. SL. TFTC.
Also logging in and out our England Geocoin.

I was lucky first with the weather and second, that after some minutes everyone departed and I was alone for a moment. TFTC. what a spectacular view to the the glacier.

In sun, clouds and rain. Not that busy. Was here many times before (without geocaching!).

Quick find to a great spot to enjoy. Thanks for the cache. All in good condition.
Found at 1705. The cloud lifted enough for a great view, though not sufficient for a helicopter flyover. Great place for a cache. Thankyou.
Found this one on my way back from Haast, after attending a meeting in Franz. There is another log on the cache's log sheet so I won't claim FTF.
