Day One: Adelaide to Iron Knob.
Weather: perfect.

Last cache of the day, and a chance to offload a TB that first came into my possession at the Townsville Mega, and then came back to me yesterday near home. See if you can find me a third time from here!

Not a good spot for glass; sorry I can’t help out with a replacement today.

Thanks bubbles8.

CoolCool It's birthday week for the cats so Purrfect Di and Mattycat decided to go do some birthday caching and see what we can unwrap in the way of log books. Yours was one we found along the way, with the help of Jack. A fun drive north west ish with a whole bunch of fresh smilies!!!

Sadly no TB staying here, and an unusual hide has evolved of a mint tin in a glass jar Surprised
Still it made us smile, and our map smiles too!

Sincere appreciation goes to bubbles8 for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo game map Cool

---

Searching around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin Quite a lot of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*

---

Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]

Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on Big Grin
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!

Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting Cool

A great caching start to Twenty Twenty Too Twisted

Away for a week on some R 'n' R from the shop and to recover from an exhausting 10th Birthday celebration for Geostuff. On the way to our campsite we grabbed some caches on the way. Sadly this is no longer a Camo'ed Screw top. An Eclipse tin was what we found, along with a Glass jar with some swag in it. Glass is an extremely inappropriate material to use as a cache container. Perhaps the CO could attend to this one and replace with a safer type of container. TFTC

This weekend, I headed to Whyalla to catch up with a few other Geocachers and attempt some of the trails there. On Saturday, we targeted the FTF power trail from Whyalla to Iron Knob, and then spent the evening and the subsequent morning driving some of Whyalla's back tracks. On Sunday, I visited Cowleds Landing and back north, only to get severely bogged in one of Whyalla's clay pans. I then returned home via the August series.

Today, I travelled from Adelaide to Whyalla, making a few brief stops along the way. I needed to arrive at Port Augusta for the geocaching event, and after having dinner, I made the slow approach to Whyalla finding the geocaching trails along the old road, including *Port Augusta's First PT* series, arriving rather late.

This geocache took a few minutes to find after hunting around along the track and fence. I initially found the main glass container, but there wasn't any logbook. I then found a subsequent container hidden next to it, which contained a logbook. This wasn't much of a TB stopover, given how small the container is, and certainly no TBs in residence today. Thanks bubbles8 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We have been travelling since January when we left Geelong and travelled up the centre to Alice then Darwin. We crossed the border into WA at the start of May and completed the Gibbs river road which has been one of the highlights so far
From Broome we travelled to cape leveque to find the best beach ever
From Broome we have then zig zagged from coast to inland to make sure we saw as much as we could
We are travelling along at our own pace and so will cache and see as much of the area as we can
Honestly it’s thank to caching that we get to see so much
TFTC
We have decided to stop in port Augusta for a few days as it seems to always be a place we drive straight through on our way back and forth up and down the centre

It was a few weeks ago that Laighside Legends suggested a trip over to Port Lincoln for the long weekend in order to gather a few more LGAs’. It was a pleasant drive over, picking up a few caches along the way, however we spent a few hours in Whyalla to specifically target a few caches. This was followed by a slow drive down the costal highway, picking up cache after cache and happened to even bump in to Aussie M&M and Mogni as we neared Lincoln. We arrived in Lincoln at around nine after an enjoyable day of traveling and caching.

Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Greetings from Finland!

Tice (Team Ice: laalaa, J&T., Hiltsu and kapeka) in Australia. Sun was shining and we had fun. Today we drove from Port Augusta to Wyalla, but not the most direct route.

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.

All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!

Today our journey continued from Port Augusta to Whyalla and back. Some trail caches and others logged on the way.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!

#6503 - 14:45; Day 7 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and albida33, so most logs were signed S.A.L. as a result. After a night in Port Augusta, today's plan was to cache in and around Port Augusta and Stirling North before heading south towards Whyalla for a couple of nights and produced 88 finds along with only 4 DNFs. We were now headed for Whyalla and had just reached the Eyre Highway after completing the first of two power trails for the afternoon. This is one of three caches collected on our way south to the next power trail. TFTC bubbles8 Smile

08-Apr-17
On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We headed through Burra and Port Pirie before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed. (Some logs were signed as S.A.L. to save space.)

Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.
