I believe the cache is missing due to all the nearby building work. I have been here with other cachers before I started caching under my own name.

05-Dec-24
My guess is it is missing due to thdenew development.

08-Sep-24
Didn't see it

Having had brunch at the Arboretum Caf with my aunt and uncle from Sydney, I set out to get the geocaches in the Cork Oak Forest. Gosh, that's a beautiful area! After walking through the forest and finding four caches, I lay down on a park bench to watch the sunlight dancing between the leaves and to listen to the birds doing the spring thing.Later, I got a message from DSD suggesting that we get some caches. He picked me up from the Arboretum and we headed down to Yarralumla. We had a nice walk to GZ, but extensive searching turned up nothing. There has been A LOT of construction work here (see photo), so it is entirely possible that the cache is no longer here...

11-Jul-23
#4062 While I could almost have driven right up to GZ, I parked up near the gates and strolled down.
Checked a few possibilities before finding the cache in the spot I suspected from the start. TFTC.

Tried to find this awhile back but no luck. Got a hint so went back today with Kittykatch and a new container as previous loggers said it was missing. Replaced and ready for the next finders. Gotta keep this old one goin.
Thanks For getting me out and about FLIPPER&CO

12-Apr-22
Joolay and I continued our lunch cache run and headed d oi an the track to find this oldie. We placed the loose log sheet in a container and replaced hide. Thanks for placing this cache FLIPPER&CO

Cache missing. Have sent CO a message and will send pics

21-Sep-21
In the area for another cache, so I popped on down to look for this. Smells very, um, 'rural' out here! Once at GZ cache was easily located, however I have no idea what the hint refers to (perhaps a previous hiding spot?).

The log itself is now a piece of scrap cardboard that was dry today and will hopefully do OK for a while, but it may not survive the next deluge.

Thanks, FLIPPER&CO.

12-Sep-21
Out for a little caching on my two hour window for adventure!

Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.

Thanks to the COs for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

15-Feb-21
Nice sunny day so trying to dry out a log enough to sign. Two logs - both totally soaked even though tbey were safely inside plastic bags. Catches on the lid are broken so water inside the container. Nice audience of kangaroos wondering if I have something for them. Tftc

09-Dec-20
Found with Trodectus. TFTC.

09-Dec-20
Found with [@Decrypter](http://coord.info/PR75QXD). We decided to head this way for an exercise walk. We parked near the dam and followed the track beside the zoo and the Molonglo. We saw a couple of giraffes and three reindeer through the wire fences. Once at GZ we quickly had CIH. The container had water in it and everything was wet, including the logs in the plastic bags. We set them out to dry for a few minutes before trying to sign them. While we were waiting we saw a couple of kangaroos, with joeys, trying to cross one of the fences. One of the mothers hopped over without any trouble, but the youngster couldn't. She tried to get the young one to come to her and after a few minutes she hopped further up the fence line, with her youngster and the other kangaroos following on the other side. We also saw some black cockatoos flying over the pine trees. We replaced everything and headed back to the cars, seeing more kangaroos on our way. We walked 4.5km.
The container is not in the best condition and should be replaced, as should the log. TFTC.

02-Jun-20
The cache was not in the best condition when I found it with around 3cm of water in the bottom. What I assume is the original log is mush, despite the zip-lock bag, but there is 2nd log with a number of more recent signatures on it which is still in pretty good shape (the 2nd log has its own zip-lock bag). One of the things I love about the UK is the huge number of public footpaths and bridleways criss-crossing private land. Fancy there being one in Yarralumla? Cool. TFTC F&C

19-Apr-20
Nice easy find on an arvo ride Smile

19-Feb-20
I was in the area, so rode (bike) down here for the cache. Log a little damp, but OK.

Thanks

18-Apr-19
Dez (JezNDez), Lennondayz29 and I left Brisbane last Friday and made our way south to Canberra with the aim of visiting this Mega event in Queanbeyan, and hunting down plenty of caches in the meantime. Sadly today was the last day for Dez and Lennondayz29 who were due to fly home this afternoon. After dropping them off at the airport, I headed out to visit some caches that we didn't get a chance to visit earlier in the week.

In my planning for this trip I had particularly concentrated on caches that hadn't had a visit in a while. This was to try and escape the expected crowds of other cachers attending the Mega event. Noting the last find on this cache was August 2018, I placed this on my to-do list and headed out today for a look.

Unfortunately I hadn't updated my database in the last couple of days, and was a tad disappointed to see I had been beaten by a couple of days to claim the "ünlovedness" on this cache. At least the cache was located and although wet, managed to stamp my name i the logbook. TFTC

15-Apr-19
Not a horse in sight today, tired or otherwise.

Cache was full of water, but I managed to make a mark on the log

Sorry for the late log! Grabbed a few with Angel on this sunny Sunday morning. I recall we had a pen problem at this cache, but managed to sort it. TFTC Smile

Cache 2950 on 10/9/17

Out on an early morning Sunday caching mission around Curtin with Bobl27. Quick find in the logical place. Inside the cache all wet sadly.

Thanks FLIPPER&CO for the cache!

26-Aug-17
Aquilus1, dty73 and I thought we could get across to this before dark. We only just made it. There were some scary noises on the way back to the car in the dark. Tftc!

26-Aug-17
Aquilus1, AddictedGamer and I were in the area, when we saw two horse riders cross the river. Even though the sun was just hitting the horizon, we figured we could walk back to the car in the dark just fine. At GZ, thankfully it was a quick find. The walk back to the car was "interesting". There were a couple of weird ass noises that made us a little nervous, but we made it safely back home to be able to write our logs. Tftc!!!

26-Aug-17
Out this afternoon with dty73 and had AddictedGamer with us as well. Was quite late in the afternoon but noticed a couple of horse riders cross over the river towards here so decided a good time while close to cross over and make the find. Only just enough light and well secure in its spot but a quick sign and back of down the bumpy looking track. Luckily we had a torch and made the interesting walk back past the zoo to the car, lots of noises at night, weird noises but strangely not from inside but outside the fence near us! Thanks for the cache FLIPPER&CO.

25-Aug-17
After nearly having an accident due to my cars windscreen pillar design( which blocks visibility on turning), I decided to relax by going for a walk down by the equestrian field. There are heaps of electric fences around here so it's a rather directed walk and I must admit to being impressed with the cross country jumping course and dressage facilities. I've been riding and competing since I could walk so am thankful for the cache placement.
It's a beautiful, clear afternoon, about 16 degrees. The cache is in good condition and easy to spot. Just don't touch the fence.
Tftc

*15/7/17, Found @ 7:39 am, Find # 6780.*

I was in town to attend a few event over the weekend and this cache was very close to where I was staying so before heading out for the day, I drove down to this one across the white grass as it was so cold and stopped near GZ.
I was only a short search before I was signing the log and quickly back to the car where it was a bit warmer.

**Thanks to FLIPPER&CO for placing this cache.**

11-May-17
Decided to take a different route on my bike on the way back to the car after collecting the HMAS puzzles, and this cache was too tempting not to grab!

An interesting little corridor, I was surprised by the camping ground I rode past. The tap seemed to be broken too and was still running! The ground was literally a swamp of water from the tap, what a waste! I spent about 5 minutes trying to get the water to stop and eventually it did.....the tap has to be turned to a certain spot...

Thanks for the cache, quick find once I finally reached GZ. Just after I found the cache a ute drove past me on the dirt road! Looked very bumpy

16-Mar-17
Flew back from Sydney, then picked up daughter, then to her horse, then to the cache. Phone died 200m out, so I hoped for a likely spot...and got it. TFTC

A short walk and a quick find at GZ. Someone has very generously provided a fresh log sheet. Thanks FLIPPER&CO Big Grin

Muggles riding horses, and the cache, all I could see here. No bitey sticks. TNLNSL TFTC

10-Jan-17
"Crisp cool air"?! ... well - i guess one could call it crisp - scorched to a crisp! - I came out here around 5pm on a very hot day, after having been to a sewing day at Canberra Quilters ... needed a daily find, so I decided to come down to this area for one of the 2 or 3 around here that I had not already found Smile
TFTC - I enjoyed the walk (I don't mind the heat)... Drove in through a gate (yes I did open/close it, not just do like in silly movies Smile and parked by the woolshed, saw one muggle trying to settle/train a skittish horse on my way there, but both were gone by the time I came back past ...
Cache was wet inside, log was soggy ... I dried out the inside with a tissue I had in my bag, and signed a spare log sheet I had with me and put that in the cache ...

12-Nov-16
Nice find on the way back from a mountain bike on the nearby new trails. Cache was half full of water and log very soggy. No replacement with me but will try and pop passed again soon to sign a dry log (and bring a spare log and zip lock with me just in case). Ignoring wet cache - a lovely spot just off the main road hidden away from view. Spectacular! Tftc

25-Jun-16
Very much, unsignably wet. Needs replacement

22-May-16
Found it after a nice ride next to the horses.

22-May-16
A bit wet. Paper soggy.

02-May-16
didn't have to go round and round to find this one. Some suspicious horses gave me side-eye, but the only muggle was busy having a trot

10-Oct-15
Out this afternoon to finish the HMAS power trail (find all the mystery caches). I parked at Yarralumla Wool Shed and walked in from there. A nice little walk in through the horse paddocks onto the trails and over the river crossing. I grabbed this one on the way back. A quick find. TFTC

28-Jul-15
I was in this area today for a walk in the winter sunshine. It is always very peaceful here mid week with just beautiful animals to admire. A few days of sun and the mud was basically dry so the path to GZ was fine.

Thanks for bringing me out here to this beautiful area.

Domsky

21-Jul-15
Have been trying to work out how to get into the area of this cache for a while now and this afternoon I had a few spare minutes and found the trail in. It was a brilliant sunny but cool walk along two sides of a triangle. I met a number of horses but no riders, so the find was an easy one today at 1340. Thanks for the new view of a familiar area Flipper & Co!
Cheers

Easy find. Not many people around...more horses than muggles;-)

28-Feb-15
This afternoon, my grandad and I found the 2 caches around here to get my finds up to #899. This was the first one for the day.

We parked near the abandoned aquatic centre (which I used to go to when I was a little one) and made the confusing walk to this cache. We felt like we were trespassing through the horse stables/paddocks - surprisingly, we walked right past many horse trainers and they didn't care! We even jumped a fence and they didn't mind! I found the cache fairly quickly - nicely hidden!

Our thanks to FLIPPER&CO! Smile

04-Oct-14
This one isn't where we thought it would be, found ourselves going for an unexpected walk. Always happy to do that for a cache. Tftc

14-Apr-14
After having no luck at another cache FFLL2 decided to head here to pick up this one instead.
A lovely stroll along the trail to download from work. The local geohorses watched on while the find was made at GZ.

TFTC FLIPPER&CO

Had the horse interested in the search. He came over for a look.

08-Feb-14
Found this one with Rapidlywild during another one of our evening geomissions gallivanting around south Canberra. It had been a little while since our last one so I was looking forward to another evening of fun and frivolity![:O)]Big Grin

We thought we'd continue on to this one after nabbing the other one nearby. Wow...it was evening by now and the temp was still around 30 degrees! But after navigating around the few tracks, gates and fences we arrived at GZ to make the easy find. A nearby horse was grunting it's displeasure at our presence as we signed the log-I don't think it liked the glare from our torches! Sorry horsey!

So with caching duties complete, off we went back to the car to continue on with the evenings fun Big Grin

Thanks for another, FLIPPER&CO Smile

So it had been a while since specimenX and myself headed out for a Geomission, so we decided to go out tonight and try our luck. We didn't really have anything properly planned so we were just winging it and moving from cache to cache.

The night started out pleasant however it was still a little warm. It did eventually cool down and was a nice night of wandering. The end of the night was another epic Geomission failure but omg it was soooooooo funny that it will definitely go down in the most remembered caches for both specimenX and myself.

The first cache collected was the one at the wool shed for specimenX as I had already claimed. We then wandered down to this one to make the find and we startled some youngins on a motorbike who probably thought our torches were guards.

We made our journey through the horse poop, through fences and along the tracks. On arrival at the GZ, I was started by a horse who was not too happy we were interrupting their sleep. Anyways, log was signed and cache was returned. Now we made our way back towards the car to continue our journeys.

Thanks for the cache and the night wander FLIPPER&CO Smile

02-Feb-14
#1487 - 17:00; After grabbing a nearby cache, I headed along the trail for this one. With the temperature hitting 37 degrees, despite taking a leisurely stroll, I still managed to build up a full head of steam. At least the track was clear and no snakes in evidence either. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly spotted and log signing duties completed. TFTC FLIPPER&CO Smile

31-Dec-13
Nice little walk to get this cache TFTC FLIPPER&CO

07-Dec-13
Needed our daily cache fix and as we were in the area so this was a perfect choice Smile. The sun was shinning and it was a nice walk to GZ where we made a quick find. Lots of muggles attending to their large pets and we went pretty unnoticed (but it did feel awkward being the only one without a horse Wink). Thanks Flipper&co for the cache.

19-Oct-13
Saturday 19 October 2013 - a thick blanket of Blue Mountains smoke hung heavy in the air all day masking the sun and blue sky on what would otherwise have been a lovely very warm spring day. A late afternoon walk through the horse stables was a wonderful sight bringing back many happy childhood memories. Thx p2p. TFTC.

07-Sep-13
The working bee at Camp Cottermouth that I was planning to attend had been postponed so I decided to grab a cace or two while I was in the area. There was no logsheet so I left a temporary one for the next few visitors until a new one arrives.

18-Aug-13
Found this one on an ACT Rogaining event...beware the magpie nearby! This one is desperate for some maintenance...TFTC.

18-Aug-13
This one needs to be dried out and log book replaced...it's so wet the best I could do was try and etch my name into the bag...impossible to sign. Thanks

was hoping the roads would lead me a bit closer Sad did not have a pen for this or Fleece With Me (because i'm an absolute idiot) who cached from 8am-2pm all around the central area and was plumb tired by the time i got to these two (last two of the day)

email and i'll describe the location/the cache and such

A nice hide, I didn't know this area existed. Thanks FLIPPER&CO

24-Oct-12
did this while my daughter did a lesson next door
water is getting into it and the contents is a bit damp
watch out for the electric fences if you enter from the horse riding school

18-Sep-12
A pleasant short walk past the horse fields and an 'instant' find when I reached the cache. It was in full view. I recovered it. The horses came to say hello. Only one other person about midweek, but it was easy to get the cache unseen. The cache is damp. I left a Canadian fridge magnet. TFTC.

10-Jun-12
Evening was falling and the fields and ponds were bathed in beautiful colours. Besides the muggle making her horse run around and around in circles (I'm sure there's a reason?) there's weren't any other large creatures in obvious sight. Grabbed the container on the walk past and carried it a bit further up out of view of the muggle and muggle horse. Time to head home, getting a bit chilly. TFTC.

10-Jun-12
Walked along the horse trail from Come Fleece With Me and right past a horse running in circles (training I take it!). When the trainer wasn't looking we grabbed the cache and took it for a short walk to hide behind some trees while we signed the log. Returned the cache in another stealthy manoeuvre and continued our way along the horse trail. TFTC.

25-Apr-12
I used to come to the riding school when I was at high school (in the 70s). Today I came by bike. I rode down to the stables and asked how to get to the trail. A very nice lady told me to go back to the road and to take the other track. She said "when you are on the trail, watch out for the green bit - it is mud!". Sure enough, I found the muddy stretch and tromped all the way through it. Having done that, I check my GPS only to find that the cache was at the start of the mud and I had to tromp back. Oh well, if that is the worst thing that happens today.... Found the cache safe and sound. TFTC

21-Apr-12
348. Found in between disciplines the daughter was doing at Equestrian park. Nice to get away for a couple of hours here and there. TFTC.

31-Mar-12
Scared out of my boots by a massive red belly black snake and I started shouting " snake, run there's a snake!" which Nemo4 interpreted as "horse, run there's a horse charging!" So we both sprinted away. Finally, a little later, we returned and made the easy find.

10-Mar-12
A wet, muddy and slippery mountain bike ride in here today. But I was glad to have found it as I have often looked at it and wondered how to get here!

Cheers

06-Feb-12
The fifth find I made today. A lot of muggles around put me off the search, but I managed to find it and get out of there.

06-Feb-12
It was a lovely evening for a wander and the geopup was more than happy to indulge our desires for a walk. AFter an unsuccessful hunt at the nearby Molonglo Meander, we overshot the horse park and had to backtrack along the bike path. We follwed the bridle path apound the back of the riding school, said hello to a couple of four-legged muggles and came upon the cache after a gentle stroll.

Found this today when signing the kids up for some riding lessons.
Nice container, good spot. It stuck out a bit so I put it all they way back in out of the weather especially as the container had a bit of water in it. The logbook and goods where mildly wet but still ok. The zip lock bag wasn't fully closed but also has a hole in it.

Was in the area for work today, and had way too much time to fill between clients. Found this one with no muggles around! Huzzah! Dont have to check the place for termites .etc. Wink

19-Jun-11
We got SO busted by some muggles and had to explain what we were doing. They were happy to go on their merry way and they had heard of geocaching previously.

Great pretty spot though, seems like you are really in the country!

Bridge Banter Assault team parked near GZ to launch a nearby attack, so stopped off to find this one. Some people setting up for a wedding were concerned and weren't convinced by our termite inspection story, and were glad to see us go when we eventually left. TFTC

After a successful find at Bridge Banter VIII this cache was to close to pass up. Even in the early afternoon of a weekday there were still the occasional people out and about, and the path was being travelled by riders and walkers alike. I snuck up, grabbed the cache and signed the log. TFTC.
