Oh! No! Our first DNF for the day. Gazza572003 and I drove down the seemingly never ending sandy road watching the black storm clouds move in. We hurriedly searched for the cache with thunder rumbling all around us only to come up empty handed. After a good half an hour of looking we decided to abandon this one as we still had to drive onto Rockhampton and we had searched GZ and surrounds fairly extensively, not sure if the cache is still there.
TRIED TO FIND WITH BUBBLENSQUEAK WHILST ENROUTE TO ROCKY, TERRIFIC VIEWS OF THE RIVER MOUTH. HAD GZ FIRMLY PEGGED & WITH RICHLINKS PHOTO IN HAND WE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR BUT ALAS WE COULD NOT FIND IT, AT THE END OF THE DAY OUT OF 16 CACHES THIS WAS THE ONLY DNF. I FEAR IT MAY HAVE MET WITH FOUL PLAY, WILL PUT IT ON OUR WATCH LIST. TFTH.
The GPSr took me straight to what is mentioned in the hint, however after several searches between the arrival of muggles, l was unable to locate the cache.
Went for the long drive down to the end of East Point only to find about 5 vehicles and 12 fishermen.. too many muggles to even attempt. Save it for another day
Found at 1000. GPSr Took me straight to GZ. No one there when I arrived. Had to sit on Rocks and admire view for 20 minutes as 5 cars arrived in close proximity. All left quickly except one. I out lasted him. Quick to find cache then. TNLNSL TFTC
found after a little hunt on holidays log book is full, sorry i didn't have a spare to replace it. no travel bug to be found TNLN SL TFTC

I used to go fishing off this wall as a kid with my Dad and Brother. Thanks for the excuse to come back.
Left nothing but took a Skater bear TB.
Thanks. SM.

WanderingAus wandered by on day sixty-six of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia and made an easy find. I managed to fit my log onto the last page, but the back of every page is also available for future finders if the log isn't replaced.
My find No 670, LCC, TNLNSL, grabbed DarrelW4 & Firefly03's 'Farewell Pepper' GC, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Well it has taken me 6 months to return to claim this cache. How easy was that!!! Took 1 x TB and 2 x Geocoins. Left 1 x TB and 2 x Geocoins. TFTC.
Found by 10yo geo son within 5 minutes of pulling up. Rough trip in in a standard BA Falcon and very slow as I didn't want to damage my car. Saw some fool in a commodore have to get towed out of soft sand by a 4wd about 5 metres from the cache but we had parked about 45m away on solid ground. Took the garfield tb and left various other tb's and geocoins. TFTC
We must have just missed Old Panther. We went by memory in first instance and guessed the wrong side of the river, however, all was not lost as our cache kids had a great time on their scooters on the paths in the area. Found it pretty easily when we figured out where we should have been. Took ink stamp and travel bug 490002 and left R2D2 keyring.
Started out on the wrong side of the river.
Finally got on the right track, found with no problems, a few muggles about, but no-one close to arouse suspicion.
Cheers

Found in the company of WitchPig and MapMonkey. We were in the area for another reason and took the opportunity to grab a couple of caches that were still in place after the flooding!! TFTC
Accessed the cache after the major flooding affecting the city......was a fun trip into GZ.
After some searching, we found the cache, did the cache dance, and replaced the cache without wetting the logbook.
Thanks for the cache location.

This was my very first cache find. After locating the general area, evading the fisher muggles (although not many around), a 10-12min search located the cache. I logged my record (put the wrong date down - wrote 3rd, should have been 2nd Feb - I was excited), TNLN (took nothing, left nothing). Took photos of the sunken boat in the river & came home feeling great.
Found this today as a conselation prize for spending all day looking for Thumbs up for Mackay. Thanks for the cache, I think I wrote in the log that I replaced the pen, but i am not sure that I did. Threw a couple of tradies in there, as it was looking a bit sad, and a cliploc bag, although I liked the idea of the waterproof paper. Didnt take the coins, as I had none to put in there, Thanks !
... went out today to do a TB swap ... too many fisher muggles this afternoon [?]
will have another go later in the week

Muggles all around so I used the kids as a decoy. Got the cache out, signed the log and put it back easy enough. There was a TB in there but I left it for someone else to move on. Been to East Point many times fishing. Never caught anything there.

Easy find on a lovely day. Left Billy Bear Travel Bug to paint the lovely view across the river to the sea.
Found while on holidays from the Sunshine Coast. Picked up Geocoin and will travel down to the South east with me.TFTC
What a good hide this one is if you time it right.
Had to wait for a group of fish catchers to leave, then had to hurry before the next lot arrived.
T Lummieh's "Never stop geocaching" coin.

Good Hide! Took us a bit of looking, still getting used to the finer points of caching. Very quiet here today only a couple of peope fishing. Our first look at a GeoCoin - They certainly are beatiful thing. Picked up "Signal Geocoin - Dec 06" Moved him up the road a bit. The GeoPenguin coin was very cute. Dropped off "United For Diabetes - TB"
Found @ 8:45am Second attempt, the night before too mugglers around, amazing how popular this place is.
Took: TB's California Micro Geocoin, and Dolly Bo Peep's Sheep for a trip south.

Found nice and easy on a rainy afternoon. I thought with the rain there wouldn't be many people around. Fine for the pick up. Sitting in the car writing out the info and half of Mackay turned up. Anyway 3/4 hr later I got it returned to its spot. Nice little hide. Left a Californian Poppy Geo coin and Dolly the sheep travel bug

Thought that early morning would be a good time to go for this one, alas it was alive with photo fanatics and fishermen. Sat on the rocks with camera poised on tripod trying to fit in, did quick searches in the rocks when not being observed but to no avail. Will have another go some other time.
Revisited this geocache to drop off the Canadian "Signal the Frog" Geocoin. TNSL.
No luck with this one. Spent about 20 mins searching in the rocks, dodging pieces of broken beer bottles. A shame we had no luck. Be careful if you search for this one with children in tow as the glass is everywhere. We followed the clue but stull no luck. Any chance for a better guide Seadog??
Easy find in a great location there wasn't any fishermen there just a couple of gray nomads enjoying the view.
