We ventured to the co-ordinates given, but couldn't find it anywhere. We looked in every tree, but it wasn't there. We then went to the waypoint shown on the map and we couldn't find it there either. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the geocache is not there anymore.

I arrived thinking this would be simple but it was a good brain bender. After getting to GZ, it was not going to be a straight forward find. Started to have a scratch around and found something a miss and it fitted the clue. "hey Presto" - a cache. Loved the hide. Thanks purpleduck I thought this was an excellent cache.

No. 2 on our run around the area..........

Great little cache and very well hidden. Didn't have any idea so felt very pleased to grab this one.

Well done!!!!!

Great hide - geokid snagged it whilst I was scratching my head - TFTC

Searched high and low for this one without success. The coords had me right in the middle of the path, so I suspect GZ put me in the general area rather than at the exact cache site.

26-Jan-10
Tried this one over a year ago without success, but came back today with a bit more experience and an idea of what the clue meant. Found very quickly this time. Great container. TFTC.

Excellent cache, I saw it and thought I wonder if it's under there, but Little Red Shoes actually looked closer. Our first find for the day and our trip to Tamworth via Wollongong and the Hunter Valley.
A lot of effort went into this one.
A few muggles about including a few on the water - amazing how far sound travels.

We were in Dapto visiting Marco's parents so we decided to take them out for a quick bit of geocaching in their local area. We pulled up close to GZ and there were no muggles around so the four of us spread out looking for the cache. We puzzled over the additional hint and it wasn't until after Marco found the cache that it made any sense at all! What an awesome hide - on of our favourites - we love it when people go to such efforts to make and hide a cache like this. TNLNSL TFTC

Found at 1035. Just as I arrived to GZ, the wind had picked up a little and it started to rain so I was hoping not to spend too long here, even though it was a really nice area. Began searching, and luckily I trusted the GPS somewhat and spotted the cache straight away. Nice...Really nice. I've only come across one other cache that uses the same technique.

Thanks.

13-Sep-09
This without a doubt was the best hide/find of the weekend. Had me looking for a good 15 minutes before spotting something that fitted the hint.

10/10 for this hide. Well done [^]

Absolutely brilliant. Great disguise. What is even more amazing is that there are 32 finds on this one and not one single DNF. I suspect there have been many multiple attempts and probably quite a few unlogged DNFs too. Even more amazing was that McPhan, who prides himself as having one of the highest DNF rates in the land, found it so quickly.

Well done purple duck. Highly recommended, but only because we found it!

27-Jul-08
This was very awesomely fantastic!!! This has to be one of the most nifty containers Ive ever seen in my whole geocaching experience. Im surprised that nobodys DNFd it though.

Thank you thank you thank you for the cache

27-Jul-08
Brilliant! This was hands down my favourite cache of the Wollongong Invasion weekend. Congratulations purple duck, you've obviously put a lot of thought and effort into it. TFTC

Wollongong invasion trip by the Canberra based McWiBiTe team.
McPhan, Winglen, BigOn, Tealby
Seen the find happen on this one which was a real surprise considering the clever camo.
No kidding, this is of the best 'camo'd, hide in plain sight disguises' that I have seen.
All of us were impressed by the workmanship evident and you can see the wheels turning considering local options for a similar version at home.
I do believe that there are several spots I could do this as well, several around my place of work even.
Lets just say that I have no problem doing a *recomended* on this one as well.
TFTC

P.S this was cache find no #650 for me, yeeha.

27-Jul-08
Fantastic!!
This is one of those caches that really caused a stir for the McWiBiTe team - I'm just amazed that McPhan (the king of DNFs) spotted it almost immediately.
Definitely a cache to recommend.
TFTC - #72 on the WIWE.

This has brilliant camoflage. Found with SuperJaz, Bewilderbeest, and Ultra Violet Z. on the Wollongong Invasion weekend.

Thank you thank you!!!

1305. Well that certainly raised the bar, what a blinder. This is without doubt one of the best camo jobs I've seen. Congratulations on a top hide. Again I can't say too much for fear of spoiling it for future seekers.

TFTC and the thrill of a unique way of hiding.

27-Jul-08
Brilliant camo job - this was one of the best caches we saw during the Wollongong Invasion weekend. SuperJaz was clever enough to spot it. I was worried about damaging the camo while extracting the cache as its a very snug fit, but it seems to be fairly robust.

Great cache Purple Duck, thanks very much its a nice park area too.

*Overall Experience: 5*

One of the best hides for the trip. I would love to write all about this one but it would spoil it for others.

Well done purple duck you had us going for about 30 minutes.

Found on second visit after a hint from fellow cacher. Geo hubby had seen on first visit but by-passed. Brilliant hide - up there with the best we have seen.

09-Dec-07
My second visit to the area and 4th cache for the morning having had too many muggles last time. Not sure if I would have found it as quick without a hint from a mate, but the title and clue are so bleedin obvious once you at at GZ.
You must have too much time on your hands Purple Duck to come up with these. Well done.

A very interesting micro. Well done Purple Duck on such an original hide, I've never seen this container used before.

16-Aug-07
What a great hide. Found it after a short search, then the clue clicked. Loved the location too. There was barely a ripple on the lake, and with the sun setting the houses/caravans on the other side were glowing, very picturesque. Thanks Purple Duck, you managed to make my day!

Forgot to log this one for a while. Nice original cace container. Found it pretty quickly but was still suitably impressed.

A fantastic find after work. It wasn't easy to spot in the dark, but as soon as I saw it I knew what I was looking at.

A great hide!

Cheers.

Being such a big person, I hate micros but this but this one was deadset awesome. I had to laugh at the sign with all of the donts for the park. You can't even fly a kite there. Never seen that before. Keep up the good work. Cheers greg.

Wow, sometimes you find something different that makes you say, well, wow. A very clever hide and a refreshing change from the usual micros around the place.

Thanks purpleduck a great hide and a great place to catch the sunset.

Went in for a First to Find and managed to get there first but Black'n'White arrived shortly after us and pulled off the find. Most inventive cache, I must say. Keep up the great work.

Well done Black'n'White.

On our way there trying to figure out the clue, as you do, but it all made sense when we found the cache. This would have to be one of the best micro's we've found. A very clever hide and nice to meet Dogs of War at the scene. Well done purple duck. A very well thought out hide.
