The area looked very picturesque in the morning light.

11-Mar-09
Like the Turbo Chickens - we fiddled around for a bit - probably because it was NOT raining and so the clue passed us by. TFTC. Swapped small items.

09-Mar-09
Our final find in the area. the exact location (co-ords) of the cache were driven mad by what was on top of it, threw us for a bit. but we triumphed in the end. Thanks

Yeah !! It's not so far south. Still not halfway from the Equator to the South Pole Smile
But a lovely spot all the same. The showers of rain just kept on coming today. There is a nice dry spot close to the cache though Wink

Nice! I always like a nice drive-by. THis was a good place to get out and stretch. The weather was super awesome, and really all of Tasmania seems like paradise when it's like that. This is my favourite state in OZ, and once again ... I know I will be back. TFTC!

Out and about in Tasmania!

On our way to the camping area even more south we passed this cache! Quite a challenge in a Ford campervan who is not supposed to be taken onto dirtroads (but who had no problem whatsoever with it and found it only very adventurous!)

After spending the night in Southport, we decided to take the HMF camper as far south as is possible (in Australia).... so off to Cockle Creek!

We pulled up within a few metres of GZ and after a minimum of fuss, the cache was in hand. We were very grateful the cache was visible from a few metres otherwise it may have taken quite some searching!

Cheers, HawMorFords.

Took 2/3rds of the family to Cockle Creek for a day trip; the boys were with us today - so no problem with scrambling to the cache. Cache in good condition and nice and dry. Took seed packet and TB. Left rubber ducky and bouncy ball. A great day and we have resolved to come back in summer but next time will be in the boat. Thanks for the hide.

A great place for a cache and a lonely camping area at this time of the year.

4:10 pm HandsomeMan and I headed off for the cache while Lottie barked instructions from the cacheWagon. This is a lovely spot to pause rather than just zooming on by - made me wish I had my kayak with me. (And lots more time!) I just hope the cache does well as I've seen the water get VERY high here!

Thank you for the cache.

Found this one when I was a Cheesy Pig. Have now ventured out on my own, and am logging caches I found, but not logging the ones that only Mr Cheesy Pig found. Let me know if you'd prefer me to re-find and log as Greenish.

On our way home from Cockle Creek. The water in the river was smooth and glassy and the only sound was the birds. A great spot for a quick pause in the late afternoon.

Took cable ties, left goat.
