Yay. At last I have a smiley to show that this cache is complete. We started this so long ago that our notes make no sense. I do attempt to find the older caches when possible so am pleased to have this smiley. Thank you for keeping this older cache going for so long.

30-Sep-24
Geoturtle37 and I were in the area to help a friend so had to grab some caches whilst we were here. It was great to be able to finally complete this one. I think we started this pre covid. GT37 likes the older caches so it has been on her radar for some time. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.

After a lovely day out in Bendigo, having attended both a CITO and event, this cache was the last of the day, found on our way home.Always needing multis for a challenge to find 1000 of them, signed in Dimboola, I was pleased to be able to assist dalerious and catnap777 today to add our names to this log. Thanks Romax, would have loved to have seen you both at the earlier events.

25-May-24
dalerious and I were here before, and for some strange reason we could not see what was there, plain as day, today.Maybe it was the thought that you were traipsing around in someone's yard. Even though you are advised on the cache page that the area is a public space.Anyway, we saw what was needed and dalerious, Cybergran V and I sorted out the letters to give us a good set of numbers. Now on to GZ, and what a lovely walk it was.Thank you Romax and BillGosse for this beaut multicache.

This time, catnap777 and I brought the big guns along...... Cybergran V. RazzOn our 2nd visit to posted coords, we were a little braver this time, and between the 3 of us found the name we were after surprisingly quickly. Red FaceAfter turning letters to numbers, we soon found ourselves parked up at an impressive view trying to decide how to attack GZ. CoolWe took a circuitous route finding out on our return journey that Up the guts is best. TwistedTFTC Romax, and thanks for looking after it BillGosse. [^]

This is an excellent cache when you consider the cleverness in aligning the name with the cache position and then bringing both together with the co-ordinates.After initially not finding the name we worked backwards after reading some of the logs.Filled in 3 letters and this helped with the name. Then had trouble by not reading the cache description closely enough. Finally the co-ordinates, so we set off from Eastern side of the National Park on our MTBs. This resulted in a very adventurous ride with recent heavy rain making the track troublesome. We navigated to the cache but ended on the wrong side of the channel so a bit more riding before walking to the location. A search found the cache in good condition, signed the log and enjoyed solving the number puzzle. Thanks for an enjoyable cache. GAFF 2

Today we explored Bendigo and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. We enjoyed travelling through the countryside and visiting new, to us, locations. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Once we were told where the answer was after bumping into a fellow geocacher Mrs "T" converted the words into numbers and we went for a stoll to GZ and made a quick find with their geodog "Geo".Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.

We had this cache on our to-do list today, as its publication date would fill in a square on our Jasmer grid. Upon arriving at the posted coordinates, we found ourselves a bit bewildered. It looked like we needed to trespass onto private property, until a kind neighbour came to our rescue. Not only did he clarify that this was public land, he also pointed us in the right direction to find the information we needed. With the numbers crunched, we headed to GZ. Following the footsteps of our navigator, Steve, he somehow found the worst possible route to GZ, resulting in a few scratches from prickly bushes. Luckily, it turned out to be a quick find, with some nice unloved as a bonus. Naturally, we took the easy path back to the car. Thanks Romax and BillGosse for an entertaining multi.

Finding a few puzzle, multis, and interesting trads around town this arvo...
This was one was on the list cos it's older and a multi...
.. a great deal of variety here, but no Whereigos?
Cache was at calculated co-ords and a quick find after calculating GZ.
Nice spot... quick find.

Thank you very much for the puzzle and cache. Something very satisfying about finding a cache that the Romax team has been involved with. B&G

11-Jan-22
Yep. We found some trees. One even introduced itself to us.
Armed with this information we trundled off amongst the gum trees.
A circuitous route soon had us jumping a man made watercourse and then a short stroll th ground zero.
Once at the correct elevation the location was rather obvious.
A well maintained cache was soon in hand and then
As always
A short walk back to the GeoPrado.

On arriving at the posted coords it was evident what we were looking at! We walked around, careful not to go into the garden and searched but no name appeared for us. Shortly a car left from the house and pulled up by us. "Are you geocachers?" they asked.
"Yes!"
"Well you'll need to look a bit further in."
"But we can't just walk into that person's garden"
"Yes you can, the sculpture is on public land."
With this advice from the friendly neighbours we started our search anew and had the clue quickly. At GZ its a pretty walk to a very well kept cache. Thanks Romax and BillGosse for the fun and cache today.

13-Nov-21
Well that was a circuitous route to GZ. At initial coords ‘the thing’ is not actually on private property. Helpful locals saved the day.

Thanks for placing the cache.
Clever, took a while to find

Needing a walk after spending most of the day inside, LittleBoss2 and I decided to walk from her place to do this one. We had so much trouble finding the required name until we heard the neighbour sing out to us, telling us exactly where we should look. How good is that!
A quick calc and we were on our way to find the well hidden cache where we were happy to sign our names. Thanks Max, and now BillGosse for maintaining this.

19-Dec-20
After attending the Geocaching Victoria event at the No 7 Park Big Hill I teamed up with the event organiser GemmaSistema for a few hours of caching fun around Bendigo.
I have not done a lot of caching up this way so it was good to be out and about up here today.
We were targeting a few oldies and some others that we came upon.
So we jumped into the Geocruiser and I was the driver and Gemma the navigator and off we went in search of some caches.
Still making our way around what I call the suburbs (I’m from Melbourne if you can not tell) by turning here, turning there and stopping when I’m told to.
After a brief search we located the cache, added our names to the log and now to look at the map and on to the next one.
It was great to find an oldie that still had the original logbook and we had a quick read and the first logs used to be stories about the adventures getting there and finding the cache.
Thanks Romax & BillGosse TFTC.

19-Dec-20
After the event at Crusoe Res I teamed up Posums to hunt out some old school caches, multis and mysteries. A lovely walk into this one and we marvelled at the original log and the stories people told. Many thanks for the cache.

In Bendigo today enjoying the first day of Spring and the sunny day it has produced, in the company of McLookers, with the aim of working our way through some of the local multi's. Another clever multi , done and dusted.
Thanks Romax for providing us with some mind benders today [:D}

We eventually found the information...once you know where it is, you can't believe you didn't see it earlier! Calculations were made and it was off to GZ. The Tritonz spied the cache. Thanks Romax.

Find # 4408

Found with sharkiefan.
a day in Bendigo for a spot of shopping and a bit of caching.
After some time searching for the elusive name, we were almost ready to give up when a local came out and to the rescue. And showed us the whareabouts of the name.
with the conversion done we were off to GZ. another short walk and a interesting little find.

TFTC Romax and giving a fave.

Found with FUF009. We were having trouble finding the name but met a lady at wp1 who lives there but its not on her property. Helped with name and we were off. Nice wee walk to GZ. Tftc

Found it. Nice one. I'm an idiot though. I got to what I thought was GZ and spent 30 mins searching. In 38 degree heat. In thongs. Gave up and went back to my car and re-checked my code conversions and coordinates.... OMG I'm an idiot. I had entered .047 instead of .067 in the S coordinate. Now this had me
In the general vicinity but about 50m from the real GZ. Returned with correct coordinates and it became an easy find.

TFTC Romax.

At long last we got to do this great multi. Worked out co-ords and then a pleasant
stroll to GZ a nice quick find here. A favourite point from us. Thanks Romax for
this multi. All good with the cache nice and dry Signed and replaced. TFTC.

Visited this with diana8 and mistermagee. Took us a long time to find the name we were after. Felt a bit silly milling around while we looked!
Enjoyed the walk to find the cache, on a clear, sunny winter's day. TFTC.

We really weren't sure here about traipsing all over someone's front yard, but we did it nevertheless. No man's name appeared to us so we stood around googling aimlessly for a while. Eventually we decided that it would be more efficient to go and google over lunch. As we were leaving, julesc21 said 'Could it be there?' Mistermagee took a look and said he thought he saw something, I got a bit closer and voila! A team effort all round! After that, the cache was quickly found, although not without accumulating a bit of mud on our shoes. Then we were off to lunch. TFTC!

12-Jun-16
Away on a geocache weekend to Bendigo with diana8 and JulesC21. Our goal is to find 30 multis in the month of June. This was number 16 for the weekend and number 5 for Sunday.

This one had us scratching our heads and feeling slightly uncomfortable, as the cache appears to be on private property. However, reading the logs not only made it clear that all was kosher, others suggested scouring the 'net for clues. Then we saw a certain log that indicated we needed to try a bit harder with our search. Suddenly, a remarkable bit of team work followed:
JulesC21 said "have you looked here?"
mistermagee looked and determined that the likely info was indeed there
diana8 looked from another angle and the puzzle was solved! TEAMWORK!

After a pleasant walk, the cache was a quick find and then it was time for lunch! TFTC Romax.

Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.

Thanks Romax for placing this cache.

While visiting BillGosse here in Bendigo, he suggested I have a go at this one to have a break from watching the cricket on TV. So off we went in the afternoon heat. Some head scratching on my behalf to find coords of GZ (Bill had already found this one), a walk through the bush (even too hot for snakes) and I eventually located the well hidden cache. Thanks Romax.

The most difficult part of this cache was definitely getting the clue at the first waypoint, which I finally obtained 2 days ago on my 4th(?) visit! I'd actually worked out what name to expect via some home Internet sleuthing (which was confirmed to be correct), but I really wanted to find the name at WP1 first, and I'm very happy that my patience was eventually rewarded. Setting off to find the cache this afternoon during a small window of opportunity before picking up my 3yo from creche proved to be an excellent decision as it was a nice quick find, even though the route I took to GZ wasn't the most direct. Thanks for the hunt and the cache Romax!

Found this one today after working out the clue in summertime. Signed log. All good at the cache site .took Oklahoma token left Arizona souvenir spoon. Thanks for the day outdoors Romax.

Staying in Bendigo for a week, to pick up a few caches in the area.
A great little multi, which quickly lead us to GZ.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Romax, for us and others to find.

Pondered the artwork and thought about the artist.. then enjoyed the approach to GZ. It was a great cache to introduce a friend to geocaching. Cache in great condition, Thanks

Suscoe's 10th find of 25 on this delightful Saturday as this warm spell just rolls on and on.
We had an enjoyable day doing the rounds of Bendigo visiting caches here and there.
We were joined by the muggle sisters for a while and we had lots of fun with them.
This was an enjoyable cache with some interesting structures and a nice location.
Thanks to Romax for this well constructed cache.

I had looked before and not found the name. Not sure how I missed it after finding this time. Thanks Max for your help in correcting a miscalculation. Found with Tassydevil. Nice bush location. Thanks.

23-Nov-13
Found with Eminor93 and ronnienash at night. We took a little while to find what we needed at the first waypoint and had to wait for some muggles nearby to leave but after some stealthy looking Eminor found the name. We solved the next point in the car and headed off towards it. I was happy that we solved the coordinates correctly and soon found the cache. I've been meaning to do this one for a while so it was good to finally complete it. Thanks for the cache.

23-Nov-13
This was an interesting search. Took us a little while (after muggles had left the area) to seek out the required name, but after some double checking, I spotted it in quite a cleverly hidden spot. ronnienash had some fun with his Subaru getting us to the required location, allowing us to find the cache without walking too far. Not able to find the initial Man name clue, but mother inlaw guessed it via local knowledge. Did this cache with my kids and they really enjoyed it. Great spot, we took 2 items (plastic spider web, winnie the poo plastic figurine) and left small bon bon toys from xmas day and a polishedblack rock. cheers.

25-Dec-12
This was found on a family walk after Christmas lunch. The much needed exercise was most welcome. The first waypoint took some time, as we could not find the name needed to work out the coordinates. Luckily some local artist knowledge helped us on our way. After a great walk we found the cache fairly easily. First cache for one of our family members who is now hooked...and his two young boys loved the treasure hunt. Took TB, the boys left some small Christmas toys.

The Coffee's picked this one up today.
Thanks for the cache Romax,

Felt like I was intruding on someones property through this one...but Tamzy and I are clearly as stealth as they get because we werent figured out!!! We got the goods, ran to the car and took off...a few meters...just to be safe Smile after a walk on slippery ground had the goods in hand Smile

28-Jun-12
Attempted this cache about 12 months ago when I was very new to the sport and wasn't able to find anything at WP1! With 271 finds now behind me I have developed some new skills and was able to use my stealth to find the required information and have the cache in hand! Thanks again Romax!!

Interesting sculpture - could be quite eerie on a dark lit night! Soon had the mans name and coordinates calculated. Found the final hide with coordinates accurate. Left Koala TB and bottle opener. Took key strap. Thanks for another good hide Max.

#2470 At the starting co-ords we felt like we were poking around in someones garden but the cheekily hidden information was revealed after a little while. Certainly an impressive piece of artwork that you can't help but marvel at. We then headed off to GZ where the prickle bushes continued their assault on us & just when we thought we'd prevailed, Dad walked into a spiderweb which cause a chain reaction that did us both damage. On we limped and had to jump a channel (de ja vous - why do we feel yet again that we've taken the hardest route in) before reaching GZ. Thankfully the container was found and in spite of our ailments....we smiled Big Grin. Our thanks to Romax for the fun.

PS: This was also our 200th multi Big Grin

Funny story about this one.

Went to the waypoint and punched in the co-ordinates ready to go find the cache.
Suddenly my geo friend got a call saying we had to go back home to help his dad move furniture... it would only take 10 minutes and we would come back and find it afterwards.

Went to his house and went inside. Took shoes off and got to the kitchen...there were balloons on the floor... and then suddenly... SURPRISE!!! All my friends jump out of nowhere!

We weren't really moving furniture, it was a surprise party for me to celebrate my 20th birthday!

Will definitely have to come back to this one another time!!

Cool hide. Found the name and headed to the cache but took the wrong track at first before finally heading on the right one. TFTC!

03-Oct-11
The friendly muggle who was working in his garden helped me with theclue. He says he may paint the name white to make it easier to find. After a false start I corrected my coords and found the spot meeting a joe-blake along the way.

18-Sep-11
Finally found this after some false starts. Never found name on the structure. Could not see the wood for the trees. Had to do some other research. Also not good at algebra so had a couple of goes to get the puzzle worked out. TNLN. Good challenge.

01-May-11
After a friendly local assisted us at WP1 (he said he comes out when he sees people looking here). There's nothing like being asked "Are you geocaching?" (Clearly we need to be more subtle Smile)
We made our way to GZ in light rain and was a quick find by GeoKeegs - "I tink it's over there Mum!" and sure enough it was! Couldn't believe our luck to find a pathtag! Left a spider in a web - as there were a few along the way. TFTC Romax!

03-Apr-11
Found 12.40pm
We managed to gather some helpfull details before getting to WP1 that made our search very quick and easy. We enjoyed the walk towards GZ, plenty of big spiders webs on the track slowed us down a bit but managed to get to the correct area where we were very lucky to spot the cache exposed. We rehid the cache a little better.

Took Nothing
Left KoT Pathtag

Thanks for a great cache Romax

co-ords we worked out didn't seem right and no other way to look up the elusive name...
might revist this one next time i'm in the area

well 3rd times a charm.. entering coordinates that is.. you'd I was hopeless with numbers and letters with this one... once at the right spot nice eaasy find. great part of the bush on me mtb again. thanks

Really enjoyed this little multi.Trudy was my partner today, first time geocaching for Trudy, she did well, Trudy found 3 of the 5 whcih we found today, and this was Trudy's 3rd find...We were very lucky that the nearby builder knew what we were looking for at WP 1. He told us that we're the 3rd team that he has helped to locate the man's name. Thank you Mr Builder Man. Accurate co-ordinates gathered from WP1 lead us to a nice little area. Where the cache was hidden in a cosy little place. No swaps made. Thanks for yet another great cache Romax. Your efforts are appreciated.

Name is still where it has been, ever since this object was constructed!
We have added a hint to the webpage description.

10-May-10
We couldn't find the name either. Appears the rain has washed a fair bit of cand over the base so we wondered if it was hidden there. Didn't want to disturb the area, so like some of our predecessors we used the net to come up with the mans name. Even then, my math was out as Sqid came across the cache 18 metres away from my calculations. Used to take 4wd courses through this area ten years ago. I see that only parks Vic gets to enjoy that now. TFTC, Cheers Hobbo.

We were aided at WPT 1 by a very friendly neighbour who told us where to look and which direction to head off in. We were very grateful for his assistance!

28th find for the day on my caching trip with my caching buddy, Marty (Quasar3671) in Bendigo for two days of non stop caching fun. Well, at the time of night we found this on, it was into night caching mode and the torches were out. Thanks for the hide. SLTNLN. Actually really enjoyed this one, sculptures seem out of place where they are.

Finally I make it with so sweat - almost give up but spotted it phew!!!. Good fun walk along to the bushland. SL. Thanks Romax

I was super lucky to be able to find this one. In the car on the way back from work on Friday my collegue was discussing a water feature she had purchased from a local artist...'you know the one who made the leaves sculptures?' 'Oh right...um, what was the name of the person again?' *quickly enters name into mobile phone*...'Ah thankyou'
Man's name in hand and I was equipped to work out the coordinates.
Took the geodog for a walk today- we were both desperate to get outside after all the rain. Thank goodness it held of long enough so I just had enough time to get back to the car and then the heaven's opened again. (Wasn't so lucky at the next one) What a beautiful time to walk in the bush- right after the rain has been through.

Nice one Romax! It's worth a note though that the "Man's Name" that you're looking for is actually the artists surname, who is female.
A very pleasant walk to the GZ.

08-Feb-10
Found it at last (3rd attempt). Deduced what the mans name was from what possible numbers it produced as couldnt find name on sculpture. But then didnt read the clue correctly so put the numbers in the wrong positions and so had been searching at the wrong coords.... grrr. Found with help of youngest daughter, her first find. Took TB, TFTC

Found on a hot day caching. This one had remained off my radar for so long, but I managed to get at it today. I too had trouble getting the info at wp1 but fortunately had a previous finder with me today who gave me the help needed and before too long the cache was in my hands. Thanks Romax for the cache.

We found the metal 'trees' but could not find the man's name. After looking for some time, we decided to phone a friend for a hint, but while I was on the phone Mr Monch found the required information on his computing device. We then looked again and did find the name. We marvelled at the huge house being built next door, and were suitably envious, before moving on to GZ and completing our mission. Thanks for a great cache.

16-Oct-09
Nothing like having Internet access when you're searching for a cache. A quick Google found the name we were looking for, then we spotted it on the article in question - not obvious, but very definitely still there and highly unlikely to disappear any time soon. You don't need to resort to Google to find it; you just need a good set of eyes

Bit of a walk to retrieve the cache, but no trouble finding it at GZ.

A nice fun cache showing an interesting bit of local artwork

This was an interesting cache. I loved the sculptures but although we searched high and low, we couldn't find any mention of a man's name. There is a heap of new houses going up all over the place and it's possible that a sign has now gone. But talk about luck!!! The local builder working on the new place next door to WP1 gave us a bit of information on the sculptor of the items and I figured that might have been the information we needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I calculated the possible GZ co-ords with this information the then, feeling rather nervous, we headed off into the bush. It seemd that we were heading into no particular spot, just following the gps so things were very tense for a while there. The gps stopped us at a random spot and there was a good cache-hiding location adjacent. By now, we were pretty certain that we had it wrong but when I bent down to look at the likely spot - Big Grin

It certainly was a nice little location and now I was feeling very pleased that we'd been so lucky (and clever of course!)

Dropped off the J-team TB as this seemed a fittingly hard cache for them to tackle.

My 82nd total find.

Short search around Wpt1 and we found what we were looking for.
Pulled up about 150 meteres from GZ where a short search found the cache.

I found 5 "Black Cockatoo" feathers which are extreamly rare.
TNLN Signed the log, TFTC Romax.

We pulled up at wpt1 just as the skies really opened up and we thought how hard will it be and we started our search. We certainly made it a lot harder than it need to be and got back to the car looking like a couple of drowned rats, not for the last time today. We then headed off to gz to find that we had a bit of a walk in front of us, the rain had now cut back to a light drizzle so off we went. As with all Romax caches the co ords were excellent and the GPSr led us straight to the cache location, we don't even think that Dak would have complained about this one.
We signed the log, rehid the cache and slipped and slid our way back to the car
Thanks once again Romax for the cache

Yahoo!!!! Our 100th find. We had completed WPT1 sometime ago and darkness had beaten us to GZ as this to be our 100th Jr decided it had to be a Romax He was out of the car and up the incline to GZ in no time saying you wait in the car Mum I'll go. Jr was back in no time waving hands in the air Yelling "YAHOO 100. Thanks Romax".
Swapped Fifa Keyring out and container of Smiggle pegs in.

5th find of the day and 1932nd total find at 12:15

Thanks for a great walk in the area. We made a small error in our calculations (don't know how), and ended up on the other side of the water race. Once we fixed the error the cache was found very quickly.

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Dropped: Trackable 'Where's George' a US One dollar note.
Grabbed: TB Bird medallion
Thanks Romax for the cache.
