Looks like it's gone, just like the original. Maybe not a great place for a cache in hindsight.

Tried this cache today. After some looking, found the place where the cache should have been but no cache.

Needs replacing or disabling

I found the original cache here in July 2001 – brought back memories coming out here for sure. Unfortunately the cache has been muggled and was in bits over the railway, we collected as best we could and put on the slope. Cheers Gav [2980]

16:22 was the time this cache was found! This cache hunt was completed on another geocaching expedition with AgentMax86.

No fear of trains to run us down...tracks pretty rusty now (what a pity) and two large trees fallen across them...waiting for bushrangers to jump us Wink I love these old bridges...just not built like this anymore. Good hide.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Signed the Log

Thanks For The Cache... It makes days like this just outstanding... Oh look, the Red Arrow is moving again...Next!

Loved it. Now this is my kind of country and the farm animals were not at all perturbed at my presence. More like these will keep novices like me coming back. TFTC

4th of 5 finds for the day and found @ 1340 very quickly due to the cache being totally uncovered. Thought it may have been muggled at first but a closer look revealed cache contents were ok. Signed log and replaced cache and left well covered up.

Very interesting spot for us. We live nearby and have probably driven over this spot a few times and never knew about the train tracks. We went by instinct and ended up climbing up and down before reading the details!

Found this one today as part of the Mothers Day quick cache day. No sign of any trains today or any time in the last 20 years, maybe one day. Found the cache sitting in the open but left it well covered. Great cache, thanks Quaser for the cache

Found by Mary & David at 1525. We certainly remember this spot. We made two fruitless visits back in mid-2002, but the cache had gone. Think we were the second NOT to find it. TNLN, but collected TB 'Bangee Adios'. Our thanks to Quasar for the memories.

The ghosts of 2001 caches seem to be slipping away like WW1 soldiers. It is nice to visit this spot and remember the good old days with an old fashioned hide to boot. Cleverly hidden but easy to find if the instructions are followed. Meanwhile the ghosts of trains no longer add to the scene. Took bee and left some stickers. Thanks to Quasar for this cache.

Find # 2041 and 16th of the day at 3:17pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on another trip to the Mornington Peninsula for a day out caching. We got to GZ but couldnt find the cache so we went to a different level and made an easy find. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Quasar....Big Grin

We found our 27th Quasar cache at 5:25pm as the 4th of 5 on our "yet another driving lesson afternoon". I must admit before searching for this cache (and even with history aside) that I was quite puzzled as to why Quasar would knowingly place a cache in an area that was so full of litter and rubbish, especially having been such a crusader against this type of hide over the years. On arrival at the site, the litter could almost be forgiven as it was interesting to take the short walk to the cache. Hopefully the area can be cleaned up a bit on a CITO weekend though. Congratulations on the 1,000 finds too. Gauging by the encroaching suburbs, this track may soon be put back into use. Thanks for the cache from D & H B-A.

Not a memerable cache for us, sorry to have to say that we found the site rubbishy and smelly, but it does make you appreciate all the great places that we have seen. TNLN.

FlyingPigSquadron has landed!
What a shame that a few people can muck up an area. Hopefully it will be cleaned and sorted in the not too distant future.

We could see this was once a nice spot, a shame it has been ruined by slobs. Rumour has it that it may return to its former use???
The cache was easily spotted.
We took out the half eaten apple (was it meant to be in there???) and left a rubber bug. The only other items in there were the pen and a tin opener. Tried to camouflage it a bit as I think muggles wander down here but still visible if you know what you're looking for.
Thanks for the memories...

850. This was planned to do on our Mornington run but it was close enough at the end of our Narre Warren run to collect on the way home.

I enjoy hearing about the history of the pastime here in Victoria and am working on getting the oldest available caches. We can only wonder what it was like when there were only FIFTEEN caches in the state! Surprised Must have been a dedicated lot! Thanks Quasar for the reconstruction of this one. There were no trains today!

9.15am
Found by Roma and Max.
Once we found our way into GZ good co-ordinates made for an easy find. It hasn’t taken many visits to start a geo trail on the approach to this well hidden container! It’s a pity about all the rubbish that has accumulated under the bridge.
In: Mondo Figurine.
Out: Funky Bracelet.
Thank you Quasar for re-establishing this cache.

#8 of 8 finds during or after the South East Meet-n-Greet event, in company with acts2youthgroup. I found this one at 1725. It took us a little while to find this well-hidden cache. Being a Quasar cache, we knew it would be a good size, which made it even stranger that it took so long to find it. The hint would have made it a quicker find, had we used it. Congratulations, Glen, on reaching your 1000th cache find. When I was starting out in this enjoyable hobby (late 2003), I remember reading logs from, and finding caches by the stalwarts of Victorian geocaching, and Quasar's name was amongst them. It's good to see that some of those names have stayed in the game for so long. [^] I made no exchange. Thanks to Quasar for the cache. Cheers, dak.

The original cache had disappeared just before we started caching so this was our first visit to the area. The cache was located quickly in the second place I looked.
I made no swaps as I had left the cache bag home.
Thanks for the cache Quaser and congratulations on your 1000th find

Found at 1.10pm GAFF1. Tricky little hide amongst the strong aroma of fertiliser from the nearby farms - at least we think it was fertiliser! Good to see that old caches have been resurrected. Thanks Quasar.Took TB/ln

I did this cache over three months ago but made no record of it, nor did I log it. My thanks to Echo for letting me know my log date in the log book. And my thanks to Quasar for returning me to the scene of one of my earlier finds.

Found by Bob at 1410

A rather funny one this - the site really doesn't have a lot to recommend it, but it does have that nice out of the way feel about it which means you can feel comfortable while searching for it (not much likelihood of muggle interference, I guess). If all caches were like this, it would get a bit boring, but it makes a nice change from micros in playgrounds and at popular tourist spots!

TNLN, but left a TB which needs to get to the island of Jersey

Thanks Quasar (congrats on the 1000)

Found 11:45, a very familiar location Wink and the cache is a great reminder of it's predecessor.

TNLN, CSI=2, thanks Quasar.

The first cache in this location was my 9th find so when this popped up, decided I had to find. Amazing what you remember, even though this find was in the dark, walked straight up to it.

On average a new cache in the vicinity of Berwick lasts all of 5 mins before it is found and logged. This pressure of having to mount a cache hunt expedition within seconds of it coming online has even driven one local cacher to move to the quiet life of rural country NSW.
Like Swaggies we got the alert that this cache had just been approved and our mobile cache gear was ready and charged. As we headed out the door the mobile phone rang. It was the Swaggies who were enquiring if we were mobile and we were. Not rushing and sticking to the speed limit we made our way to the cache location and upon arriving we met the Swaggies who had just arrived.
Joining forces we made our way to GZ and using both I’s the cache was found in a combined FTF. After logging the cache we chatted for a moment about a planned Geocache get together, and the offer of Coffee was tempting except for we had to get home to the oven and its contents.
Many thanks to Quasar for the cache that holds many memories for you and congratulations on reaching 1000 finds.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the “it was funny that we reached the cache location at the same time as we had to travel 8kms further to get there†Clan.

10-Aug-07
Having just returned home from work, we discovered that a notification of a new cache had arrived. We weren't really prepared for caching this evening, and this meant that we'd always be behind the 8-ball with our attempt to claim a first find with this one - and there's certainly some tough competition around here too! So we bundled up our gear (including the instructions for our brand new GPSr) and headed on down south on this unusually warm windy evening! Found the cache after a brief search and quite happily signed the second page! Thanks for a great cache - and thanks for giving us that 'brand new cache hunt' buzz - we really do thoroughly enjoy it! This cache was the first we'd found with our new GPSr too - we'll remember that! TNLN as in our haste we'd forgotten to pack them. SL at 9pm. Regards from all here at 38 degrees south.
