Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Time for this one to go, as it has had another dnf today. It has never legitimately been found since Robmc moved it. We tried the day after and had no luck either!
It's always disappointing when you don't find what you've invested in. Raised myself into the obvious position too. Oh well will keep a watch on and stop by the next time I pass through.
Maintenance run through the Port of Sale.
Replaced container (with one a bit bigger), and moved slightly to a dryer spot.
The clues are all still the same, just the final calculation has been altered.
Thanks to all who did some maintenance on this damp cache.
Robmc.
btw, the move has upped the Terrain rating a bit.

This cache took a little while to grab as a lady with a very slow walking dog was hanging around. On laocting cache it was found to be in bad state. Cache had water in it logbook completely destroyed. We dried out cache, put in new logbook and pencil all in new cliplock bag, hopefully this well help the cache to remain, as it is clever fun multi.
Thanks for bringing us here. The view would be good if you had accesss. The log is still dry but the cache has water in it again.
Tftc, great find. Heavy rains have left the cache "m anky". We will take it home and dry and clean contents and replace asap
I enjoyed this little hunt in such a small area.
I must say it was a lot better with the correct maths, I used a plus instead of a minus, take your time and do the maths right.
Being tall was an advantage as the cache was easily seen and looked exposed.
Thanks for history lesson and the very dry stash.
The log was a bit tricky on such a windy day, so be careful.

Just cleaned, dried, re-painted and made a new log book for the Cache, Cache was offline for only 1 hour sorry for any inconvenience.
Hopefully it should be harder to spot, and more waterproof.

The log is soaked. Signed a separate piece of paper and placed it in the cache. TFTH Robmc
Found with hangfire7 and yannon. Used to visit these water towers when I was little tftc.
We are slowly working our way through the Port of Sale caches and we were able to knock another one off today.
Thanks Robmc for the caches. Little Miss MADSTARS loved this park and was sure it was the famous home, or should I say castle of none other than Rupunzel - so while she stood and called for Repunzel to let down her hair - we were able to quickly locate cache.

Great hide!!!!!
As past cachers have said, the cache was soaked.
Took it home and gave it the 'Royal Treatment'....... washed, dried
and blowdried the log book. All good for now as we put the whole thing
in a snap seal bag. Put back at 7pm. There was still water in the stash site.
Need new log tho so hope you can retrieve it to save the logs of others.
It would be a shame to lose it as it has been there a long time.
Thanks for this series Robmc...we hope to finish them all before we go
back home to Echuca.
Took camel left $100 note k/r.

This was a nice multi do complete while waiting for our dinner to be cooked. Unfortunately the container and log book is waterlogged. We poured out the excess water, but unable to attempt to dry anything due to the inclement weather. Also unable to sign the log as it was totally soaked. TFTC.
Really like this series of hides. Rainy day caching, very wet but no muggles.
After dropping all the girls at the in-laws I continued on solo and this was my next stop. The vines growing on the towers was amazing and the cache was easily located although it's hidey hole is full of water and the cache was quite wet inside. I drained what I could but with an overcast day I couldn't dry it out any more than that. TFTC
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Couldn't work out which end of the bricks to start counting from!

Being time for some tucker, we grabbed some from the bakery down the street a bit (and it wasn't too bad either ) and headed to this very pleasant park to consume the said comestibles . Following that, it was time to see if we could find the nearby stash .
Both WPs were very interesting given their history and after we had done the calculations, we proceeded to GZ where we soon had the cache in hand at 12:25.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks once again Robmc and brothersinfluence.

Eyes went a bit googly counting the bricks but came up with the goods eventually. If caching has taught me anything, it's that sticking your hands into places you can't see doesn't neccesarily ensure you'll encounter creepy crawlies . TFTC!
How I ever manage to find as many multi-caches as I do, I will never know
If there is a way to stuff up a calculation, mix up letters and numbers or interpret a question in the wrong way, I have done it [:o)]
How many rows of bricks ?
I could see five.
Hard as I looked I could only see five [:o]
It's moments like this......
.... I produced one from my pocket and sat down and enjoyed the minty freshness
Staring at all those bricks wasn't helping.
So I turned around for a minute and stared at the traffic for a while.
Returning my stare to the bricks, it suddenly made sense and I proceeded to go crosseyed from staring too closely at certain bricks
TFTC and view of the twin watertowers.

HAHA I hate blinking whilst you're counting many bricks. Damn it! LOL
I've just moved to the area so I thought it was a great opportunity to take the dog for a walk around Sale. Had a wonderful walk around the great park. Never knew this park existed.
Left GC to travel on TFTC!

Found late in the evening on Australia day, few muggles around wondering what I was doing counting bricks!

Found by Greg 1330H 17/12/09. Many thanks to the teams that organised this series of caches. I have passed through Sale many times on my way to the Gippsland Lakes but had never bothered to stop and appreciate the efforts of the city fathers. I have been delighted to discover the many manicured parks and gardens in Sale. Beautiful!
We found this cache as the 35th of 43 on our Sale or No Sale Tour with Alansee, Pprass and Acts2YouthGroup. I often wonder what people think when they see geocachers jump out of cars and start counting things. A very pretty park in the late evening. Thanks from D B-A.
Found in the company of Acts2YG, Alansee and Rabbitto on a very successful tour of east Gippsland.
This well constructed multi was just so much fun as the rest of the group were teasing us as to how to count objects - and there were a few of them let me tell you. Not sure what we learnt from doing that, but counting objects was the requirement so we counted and counted - gee that was odd - we counted differently!
Thanks to Robmc and Brothersinfluence.

Thank goodness I had Mr B with me again, could have been frustrating otherwise. Lovely park and very quiet except for the buzz of the mozzies of course. TFTC.
Walked to this one after bagging PoS 8 with Mrs Biggles and it was a welcome relief to get away from muggle central. Here we could forage undisturbed without the threat of a potential loitering charge from a muggle plod.
I had to count the bricks a few times as I kept going cross-eyed and loosing which brick I had counted to (much to the amusement of Mrs B), and then determining if that plank should be counted or not (it should). Anyway, we finally cobbled together the GZ coords and zeroed in to the cache. We had to take the box of goodies well away from the hide whilst we studied and logged the find as mossies that were obviously starving decided to feast upon us. BYO insect repellent!
Lovely park.
TFTC. Next . . . . . !

Dropped in today for a Maintenance trip.
Everything is where it should be.
Watched Hell+Back do the multi. You would think that someone who was dux of her Science Degree would be able to count better than that!
Watched as she carefully replaced the cache.

That counting thing can be a bit of a challenge sometimes - and there was a very likely, but very empty, hiding spot at the wrong location! Anyway, I found the spot on the second attempt, although it took my trusty PA (whose build is much more ape-like than mine) to actually retrieve the cache. I suggest cachers of my modest stature bring a similarly proportioned friend (or maybe a step-ladder)!
While busy working out the coords, tallest member of the party went straight to GZ and retrieved!

Another lunch break search with Howey. Old towers with gnarly growth are pretty cool. Found the cache and signed log just before the muggle children were let loose for their lunch. Left a dog Took nothing. Thanks for the search.
This again was right up my long legged, long armed alley! Had a great day out today and was pleased my height was to some advantage on this one. Thanks
Rocky Glen Grommets enjoyed this one and were lucky to have it solved and collected all before the kids came out from school! Took GeoCoin and will move on to South Australia with us. Thanks for the cache.

Nice multi, third find for the day on road trip from Bairnsdale back to Melbourne. Credit goes to my tall work colleague for retrieving the cache for me. He's slowly getting hooked on caching mwahahaha. Made even more interesting by spotting the possums nestled in the creepers at WP2. TFTC, BigglesNZ.

8th cache day 7 of our caching/holiday trip around Victoria.
A very windy and wild day but we still enjoyed visiting Sale and the informative series which acted as our travel guide.
Jemalong had to prop-up JJ to get this one. Just as she did so a lady walked by came out of nowhere - I think she thought we were mad - I hope she won't muggle the cache.
These water towers remind me of Rupunzel story - they are great.
Nice quick multi.

I looked, but I couldn't find it.
Assuming I got my numbers right, I found a likely hideyhole, but no result.
Oh well.
Might try again one day.

I was watched by a couple of muggles at a picnic table nearby. They must have thought that there are some strange people about. The log was sodden as I am sure the hole fills with water each time it rains or is watered. I suggest that a little ball of wire-netting under the cache would lift it out of the puddle. I took a cat and left a super ball.
Computed all of this one late last year however darkness fell before we could complete the challenge. Could say we even "fell a bit short" of the mark today as we took a few minutes to reach the exact location. Got it at exactly 1300 hrs. Log was saturated - did a quick dry but making an entry was interesting on pages stuck together, particularly with "helpers" begging me to get it done quickly! Nice and quiet in the park but the numerous huge mozzies must have been starving. Left a cat. Thanks once again Robmc.
1st Cache!!!
Contents a little wet, dried the log out as best we could in the (temporary) Victorian sunshine.

The second cache of the series in Sale. It took me quite a lot of time to search the [tree] it was in. I'm glad it wasn't in one of the other [holes] because they were full of muddy water(s). It is a nice park just opposite of the road where we were staying with my wife's family. What an easy coincidence. Nice cache too!

GAFF1. Found easily using the original equations in the cache notes. Not sure what the previous finder was doing who suggested a need for a change. Once the GPSr settled the coords were spot on.
Luckily the cache wasn't in the adjacent possible location. It was full of water.
Took little car, didn't leave anything as I had nothing to swap, but I couldn't get the cache to close with the car in it with any certainty that it was sealed. Didn't really want to take the risk that it wasn't. I'll drop the car in another cache.
Thanks for the cache. Went and got dinner after this. I've left a few Port of Sale's to do next time.

Found by Mary & David at 1330. Gathered the required information about an hour earlier, but GZ was occupied by a couple enjoying lunch. Left to do two other caches. No problems when we returned. The palm trees and exotic trees look a bit dated now, with new parks going for drought-resistent species. TNLN. Once more our thanks to Robmc and brothersinfluence.
as we were walking through the park counting bricks and planks a Band across the road was warming up. The Fair was on today and we were treated to some pleasant music while on our search. There was also some pipers that started playing after we had left, but we did here them while at another cache... the bagpipes travel quite a ways on the wind.
