Logs
Retrieved TB from archived cache waypoint as requested by owner. The geocoin listed has been removed by a newbie geocacher some time ago.
As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Beautiful place to be this morning, not a ripple on the water when I first arrived.
Found the first 2 wpts no trouble, and gave the fencer a lesson in how to use his GPS, then I got on with finding wpt2. I was very glad that the lupins had been sprayed some time ago, and finding the container was no trouble, really. I signed the log book, and dropped off TB Lets Go!
Wpt 1, the lid had come off, and it was full of very smelly water. Dried it out, and put the cache note in a new baggy, put it all back together again.Roses note I had to ditch as it was too soggy to keep.
Wpt 3, I couldn't find, found a trail leading to an obvious place, but it seems to be gone.If I had had the clue with me I might have gone looking for the final, but didn't.
Kaikite have not logged retrieval of Extra Extra geocoin.

Like a couple of other entries we found 1 and 2 ok but searched for a long time for number 3 without success.
Went to likely spot for cache 4 but no joy. It seems that 3 is no longer there given recent entries.

It was a beautiful day for a beach walk. We found the first and second cache without difficulty. We took an orange highlighter from cache #2 and left a domino painted silver on one side (which we picked up from Dominoe Effect II (Otago) GC1JV6R). We also took the Extra! Extra! trackable Geocoin:
Owner: Butterfly_lady
Released: Saturday, August 30, 2008
Origin: North Island, New Zealand
Reference number TB2FE52
We will put the Geocoin in the next cache we discover and log the deposit.
We searched around what we believed to be the correct coordinates for the third cache but failed to find it. Since cache #3 contained the coordinates for cach #4, we were not able to find cache #4.

Well kind of found the cache.
Found 2nd geocache, but have looked a few times and can't find 3rd. Will check to see it hasnt been muggled.
Returned to the second waypoint to redropoff Extra Extra Geocoin.
I had left Extra Extra here, around 2 months ago, but realised I hadn't logged it, then couldnt find the code to say I had.
So picked it up again, and will return it to 2nd.

Great spot! lovely day! skipped wp3 after looking for a while couldn't find it went straight to to the final spot, took parachute man left crazy bone, this was our 170th cache overall, tftc
Well, like the previous logs, I am going to claim this as a found. Got 1 and 2 OK, but twisted my ankle badly at WP3 and couldn't find anything. The clue is a bit unfair given the situation (a bit like "little erratic" near the Rangitata river. Using the the clue for WP4, I hobbled off and had a look around at probable GZ sites, but without accurate final coords, it was a bit hit and miss.
Quick and fun finds for 1 & 2. at this point we logged our find and went for 3 spent ages looking... I think we turned over every said clue in a 6 metre radius of GZ and then gently placed back each said clue but with no luck, Decided to try for 4 any way but got stranded and could not make it as the tide did not wait for us.Loads of fun was had by all. So have to say it really was only a half find Will come back and try again soon.
Forgot to write in my log that a muggle named "Rose" had accidentally found WP1 and has written a note saying how beautiful the area is and good luck with finding the rest of the waypoints.
[A favourite beach & archway for our family- we used to come here to cook sausages, collect cockles, kayak and remove used throw-away nappies and broken glass (the place is kept much cleaner nowadays). Nice hide for WP2! Took a long time to track down WP3. Have left extra explicit clue ]shellsundercairn, bygorse, inlandoftotara. [ Sent USA visitors Rose & Nelson after final. Cache wet, logbook still dry. Double-bagged logbook and left pens.]
Thanks for bringing us to this great beach. We went at low tide and walked along the obvious high tide mark.
Great cache, heaps of people on the beach today, and some teenager's in the cave playing Bongo Drums, the sound was neat.
Thanks Bitsprayer

Too nice a day not to be outside!
Found the cache easily enough, then kept going to the top of Mapoutahi. This is only a short walk beyond the cache hide, but absolutely worth the effort! Even though there is no cache there (2 in the past, both muggled) - the views are stunning.
+ Geocoin (but not at the final stage!). TFTC.

Headed out to Blueskin Bay in the new "low carbon footprint" cachemobile with the geocaching labrador (training him to sniff out plastic boxes). Zapped around the three waypoints and final in about 30 minutes. Took a chance on the tide and found it was right out. Last cache in this area got washed away in a storm if I remember correctly.
Arrived at the stipulated low tide and found WP1 easily enough though co-ords didn't seem to be complete so used local knowledge and my cacher brain to get to GZ. TNLN.
My 2nd FTF of the day and a lovely walk along the beach with "Second in Command" - much oohing and aahing in the [caves]!!

Whilst Brains is living the high life on a training course in the North Island, Brawn has braved the high tide and added the missing coords. Also checked the rest of the caches in this multi and declared them fit.
