Temporary disable. Found muggled on maintenance check. Hide area has been cleared substantially so reviewing hide in a nearby hidey hole as well as developing a new container.
It was right where I expected it to be. Little cachers will love this one plenty of treasure to swap. TFTC.
It’s freezing and raining but the cache was so worth it! Really good one for any kids out there for sure.

Wow what a great stash! It would have been nice to visit while there were trains here.
Runner5ive used to live in Cooma so we decided to do a day trip from Canberra to cache and share some old memories in and around the area.

Trip to Cooma with aramil. So much swag! Took one for a potential TB. LOL @ hint. TFTC
It's my first geocache! Just walked down the platform and followed the toot toot. There were so many caches; I took one having a character I love on it, and then I left something exotic
I'm very happy found it! This is my first time. then here is beautiful old train station I love it!
Oh dear - should not have visited this one on a Sunday. An enthusiastic work party was just packing up and a smoking Muggle was just across the hedge. However, I think I managed to log the cache at an opportune moment. So many swaps, many of them have spilled out. I couldn't find a good time to re-pack them all because of all the activity. Wish the Geo-grandson was with me - he would have loved it. Thanks CC
We are on our way to Mt Kosciuszko from Port Macquarie with an overnight stay in Queanbeyan last night. Today we spent some time around Canberra before driving to our motel in Jindabyne.
#9 for the day and our last making our total 599 leaving the big 600 for Kosciuszko tomorrow, we spotted something suspicious on approach and soon found the cache, wow that is A LOT of swaps!
Thanks for the cache

I was on a little holiday down around the Monaro region in southern NSW, and grabbed a few caches along my travels.
This one I headed to at the start of my journey. Headed towards the toot and parked my car right beside gz. I got out of my car, read the hint, looked over, and could see the cache hide as it was partly exposed and there were bits of swag littering the surrounding area. Signed the log, once I found it among the swag, and then tried to replace it in a more discreet way. Yes - definitely the most I've ever seen. TFTC

Found it but can’t get to it right now. Can you imagine this place is a ghost town and then just as I get here tourists come?
We dropped in here on the way back from Lake Crackenback primarily because I had read it was absolutely heaving with swaps. When we arrived it most certainly was and the two geokids cracked open their own swap bag and spent quite a bit of time deciding exactly what they want to swap. After a few minutes, literally, I had to give them the hurry up as the wind out today was a bit nasty. Of course the wind had run through the geowife so we had to stop at the Macca's as the stations loo's were all locked.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache and for havnig so many swaps! Favourite from me

Big day - Did the Kosciusko climb and also picked up some caches at Cooma and on our way back to Adaminaby (via Buckenderra) with AWTYOW, Brizzle11, and Geogangstas. Great day out! TFTC

The junior geo-gangsta found this one and was amazed at the huge amount of swag here. He didn't take any though because he was distracted by the station itself. We loved exploring this old train station - thanks for showing it to us! TFTC
This cache was one of a couple selected to represent Cooma while we were travelling through today. The cache was found in the obvious place and was easy enough to find. All was good with the cache and contents and we registered our name on the log. Thank go to CoomaClan for bringing us to visit this part of Cooma.
Quick find as we passed through Cooma on our way to Jindabyne for L’Etape Australia 2017. TFTC.
This is yet another cache that Team Lewin didn't appear to actually sign the log. I had the opportunity to pour over the log this evening as a muggle prevented me from putting it back in its hide.
Thanks for bringing me here. What wonderful history is preserved here!

A weekend at Yarrangobilly Caves for a neighbour's 60th. Fantastic fun.
After work, drove from Canberra to Cooma, then up the Snowy Mountains Highway to Yarrangabilly. After filling up in Cooma, stopped by for a quick cache. Found, signed and returned. TFTC CoomaClan

Travelling with a rail fanatic, we had to visit the old station. A bonus for me was the resident cache.
We had a chat with some members of the local railway group who were working in the building. They are hoping to have a train running along a 20 odd kilometre stretch of line before too long. Let’s hope this plan comes to fruition.
The cache was a quick find thanks to the hint. Nice one, thanks CoomaClan.

Still on leave for another few days, so we decided to take a run to Cooma and pick up a few caches along the way.
As well as cemeteries, we love railway stations, especially these old and unused (or rarely used) ones. While a very simple find, the opportunity to visit here is worth the detours we made from the previous caches (Southern Cloud & Rock Bolt Earthcache).
Another lovely old station. TFTC, CoomaClan

Found with The Matetrix. A busy weekend comes to a close, the last cache find before heading home (via Macers in Cooma). TNLNSL TFTC
Having done many caches over time within Cooma, my map shows up zero. All archived. Time to get another spot on the map, so I chose one that would likely be here for some time. Find didn't take long. TFTC CoomaClan.
Took The Woofer down the coast for a couple of nights, and used the opportunity to bring our cache count closer to 1000! It took us 8 hours to get to Bermagui, but we found over 40 caches, and had an absolute ball - with some of the most creative hides we've ever seen.
What a beautiful little train station! Reminded Saf of some of the buildings where she grew up. Left some goodies. TFTC!

Found with c-chord. Looked in the obvious places then where the spot on coordinates led us. TFTC
Out for the day in Cooma with The Couvees and Joey Loves Treasure. Found this one on the way home to Canberra. TFTC.
Quick easy find. In Cooma for two days and a few hours caching. SL TFTC Interesting old Railway Station.
#2840 - Early morning easy find. I was a bit apprehensive after reading previous logs but all clear. Amazing refurbishment of the explosive wagon. Many thanks to the cache owner CoomaClan for establishing and maintain this cache.
Day three of our High Country holiday. Staying at Jindabyne and drove to Cooma.
A lovely days caching, with some great spots to visit, and all caches in good condition.
A great station! Good to see so much has been left intact, buildings and rolling stock and signals.
Strange to imaging that so many railways have completely disappeared when they must have been so big previously.
A nice clue and a good sized cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9918. Robmc and I are staying at Jindabyne but we decided to spend a day caching around Cooma as it was forecast to be a couple of degrees warmer. We had a wonderful day, finding a lot of cute caches and visiting some interesting and scenic places. It was so nice that all caches were in good condition.
I do love seeing old Railway Stations but it is so sad that most of them are locked up and no longer used. There were some beautiful rose bushes flowering in the garden beds as we approached but unfortunately I didn't notice the nectarine tree today.
A quick find of the cache and I made some swaps. I took the kangaroo TB to move along and a keyring and left some Origami envelopes. The magpies seem to have claimed the platform signs and were not afraid of us as we wandered along and peeked in the windows.
Thanks CoomaClan

#1670 5 of 16 today.
I was planning to head out to the coast this Australia Day, but the weather forecast was not promising. So this morning I thought about likely destinations and considered Cooma. I've always liked Cooma and it's Art Deco buildings. I took a few pics and generally had a good time collecting the local caches. An afternoon thunderstorm called a halt to the search.
The Cooma railway station is very well maintained. I had a good look around and through various windows. There was nobody about. Just me and a wagon of explosives. What could go wrong ? (see pic)
As a bonus, there was a nectarine tree heavy with fruit in the parking area. I grabbed a bag of the nearly ripe fruit.
Dropped TB
Thanks for the cache CoomaClan.

CoomaClan I found your cache Toot Toot on 14/01/2016, 11:17 AM. This is my find #1680 and find #3 today. Where else can you sit on a railway station and watch the kangaroos hopping past?? Pity about the line closure, great that the station is still maintained. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Great location. Good to see the old buildings well looked after. Thank for brining us here. T4TC
[violet]I'm currently hitchhiking my way around the world and geocaching everywhere I go. My first stop was in Ireland where I spent a couple weeks touring the country. I then flew to London and spent a couple weeks touring the United Kingdom. From there I made my way through the tunnel and up to Amsterdam and then back down to Belgium. After that I headed for France. Then from there I headed to Portugal for a mega event that was happening. After that I headed for Denmark to attend another Mega event. I then made my way North into Sweden and then even further North to Norway. After that I proceeded to work my way back down South through Finland and then ferry hopped my way through a few of the islands to arrive back in Sweden. Next I made my way to Germany for another Mega event and then back to the Netherlands for still another mega event before heading for Luxembourg. After that the next stop along my journey was Switzerland. I then made a quick detour up to Belgium to grab a July 2000 geocache I had overlooked before making my way to Croatia passing through Austria and Slovenia along the way. After that my route took me East to Serbia and then through Romania into Moldova. I then couldn't resist going North and crossing into the Ukraine. After that I began heading South passing through Romania once again. I then passed through Bulgaria as I raced for Turkey in order to catch a flight to Australia timing it so that I could attend a mega event happening there. After that I traveled along The Great Ocean Road and up to Adelaide before making my way West to Perth. I then headed back to Port Augusta and made my way North to Alice Springs. Then I turned around and headed south and then east towards Sydney detouring into Canberra along the way. I then made my way up to Queensland before turning around and heading back down the coast to Melbourne.
Grabbed this after spending a night in Cooma.
Thank you so much for placing this geocache!

A quick find after checking out the old station. A wonderful spot.
We were listening to Peter Siddle bowl his attempted hat-trick ball while we were looking for the cache.

Its the end of the long weekend. The Ridgeo-pup and I are returning home after a few days at the coast. Back to work tomorrow . Just a couple more caches before then though. I love a railway cache and this is great. What a lovely spot. Several magpies watched and commented, gossiping amongst themselves but I didn't need their help to find the cache TFTC CoomaClan

Had just arrived in town and thought we had better chase a cache or two before the sun went down. This was our first in Cooma in an area that was once obviously much busier than it is today. TNLNSL Thanks CoomaClan for our first in your town.
Gotcha! I remember arriving at this station in 1971 for a school excursion to Jindabyne. I must admit, I was in much better shape this time around! TFTC
Great hiding spot. Thanks for hiding it. Great spot for some history x found with neice Claudia!
Seeing history being lost like this makes me sad but it was a nice cache and thanks for bringing me here. Tftc
On holidays and travelling from Canberra to Bega to visit friends for a week. This cache was at the Cooma Railway Station. A quiet day, no trains passing Found the cache. TFTC
