We were going off PDA data which was several days old, old enough that the fact that this cache had been disabled as it has gone missing didn't appear. Which I guess is why we didn't find the cache. At least I feel better now I know it wasn't there!
I'm not sure if it's still there or if we're just a bit too blind to find it. We found some nails in a spot a cache could have been. Or maybe we weren't tuned in enough to work out the hide.
Spent some time searching in the semi-darkness last weekend without success - very frustrating, despite the clues. Give it another go next week.
tried to grab this one, but the muggles at GZ seemed intent on trying to work out what we were up to.

Nice camo, I liked the container. There are so many people putting so much effort into the hides that it makes me wnat to make hides myself.
TN and released Buttsy and Hootsy owl GC into the wide world, seemed like a good place for an Owl.

Out for more geocycling around the lake i decided to ride inland first up to collect this one prior to the mad morning traffic.
Great piece of Canberra history and a clever hide to boot.

Found by Mary & David at 0950. Delighted to have such informative and historically-based cache notes. To think we lived not far away in Hackett from 1977 to 1981 and didn't really explore this park, although David often passed by on his way to and from work. Great camo. Plenty of birds about this morning. Dropped off 'Civil War Geocoin #9 Chickamauga'. Our thanks to Bewilderbeest.
Great park. The outdoor table-tennis table is a rather unique feature
I found the cache after investigating a few of the other unique features of the park

Actually tried this way back when I had just started caching, and funnily enough, my mate found the cache and pointed it out and I dismissed it! What a fool I was...
I found it and signed it fairly quicky this evening by the last light of the day.

Didn't take me long to find this cache (clever camo BTW!) but I have to admit, rather bashfully, that despite several minutes of determined effort, I couldn't seem to get this cache open.
So....unfortunately, I couldn't sign the log. Perhaps someone stronger or with better grip will have more luck than me.
I did enjoy the hunt for this one however and what a very pleasant little park!

Went at dusk and searched around the tree bases everywhere! Just before I was ready to give up (due to failing light, not determination) I felt it! Great spot! TNSL.

Hardest part here was avoiding the mother muggles but it seems we managed that. Nearly had to help one who's BMW wouldn't start though, but it did at the last minute.
Thanks indeed

Great park. We thought we would be early enough to avoid any occupation of the buildings, but some class had just finished when we drove up, and everyone was chatting outside!
We wondered off and found the cache a short while later. Nice hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

Took a while to find but we got there in the end like always. Signed the logbook and were off once again. Thanks Bewilderbeest for the cache.
Found with the kiwi team on our great Australian caching tour. Easy peasy find but good camo all the same.

Found this one with Moneydork, Tofska , Rediguana and ADV during our Australian caching holiday.
Team GPS.org.nz Cache Raid: Pohutakawa spotted it, even though he couldn't quite reach. T4TC, M@
A nice find on an evening's outing nearby. Took the opportunity to pick up some local caches. TFTC
I thought the camo for the last cache at this park was good. It was but this camo is fantastic. I think I've seen were you got the idea from. I can't wait until I bring slowdad back to find this one, I'll have to bite my tongue to stop from laughing.

Forgot to log this one after a quick drive by last week. The rain meant that the park was quiet so it was a nice easy grab.
Found after a short stroll with geobaby - found the cover lying on the ground while signing the log so replaced it on top of the cache... man that plastic container was hard to open...
This is very challenging for people who arent very tall, like me. But it was well hidden, it was hard to find it but eventually we got it.
Thank you thank you!!!
Thank you thank you!!!
Found at 0925. DJ and I were here the night before, but it was near impossible to search around by torchlight while there was an urban corroboree going on nearby. Today, while there were only a couple of people entertaining their dogs nearby, we made the interesting find without any problems. Interesting that one of the trees fell over during the night.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Had come here the night before but it seems the Corroboree was well under way. We decided not to try anymore and come back today to make the find. Only a couple of people in the park but were too busy entertaining their dogs to notice us.
Out - Crikey GC.

Found the cache easily enough. Extracting the container from its nest was another matter entirely. Bewilderbeest generously let us claim the find even though we couldn't sign the log (he obviously knows what's good for him ).
we found it with no trouble at all, but we couldn't reach it.[:(!]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A quick find in the morning despite the barbie brekkie going on about 20 meters down the park...

Finally arrived on a muggle free day - they sure have a lot of picnics in this park. A very well-made cache.
I dropped by today and put a new log book in the cache, as well as several new SWAPS. They're swaps people, NOT takes - the container was stuffed when I placed it, all that was left was a plastic soldier!
Also left a GC.
This was at least the 3rd cache I visited today that Urch has been to in the last couple of days, but I havent been lucky enough to score a pathtag.

This is a lovely park, very popular today with picnicers. Retrieved the most unusual cache and was very puzzled that someone had put in today's date in the log book, but nothing more.
Thanks for the hunt, Bewilderbeest.
PS Sorry to have missed you, but we might catch up at an event on the weekend. (I will be bringing my pathtags...)

Wednesday afternoon and with my last uni assignment in I decided to check out a local cache. My GPS seemed to be insisting that it was inside the building and with a maggie trying to swoop me I looked around and didn't take me long to find the cache. My first successful cache in Canberra. Took nothing left nothing.
I dropped by today to check on the cache, after Super-Ts log suggested all wasnt well.
I have returned the cache to it's original orientation so it now sits a bit better in its home. Unfortunately the camo isnt weathering as well as I thought it would. There's still a bit of space in the log book but it's just about due for replacement - I'll do that soon.

Another nicely hidden cache before work. While it is obvious when looking for it, it does not stand out when occasionally glancing over the tree.

After the Geokids taking off for the nearby park, Ra had a wander with the GPSr, which seemed to want her to walk around in circles (I think because of the nearby buildings).
After she gave up I had a go and experienced the same problem so gave up on the GPSr and found it shortly after.

Cache is no longer nailed properly to the tree and stands high enough to no longer look even remotely natural, and stands out way too much.
Lid could not be fitted tightly enough for my liking due to the looseness of the attachment to the tree and my inability to reach up high enough to do it easily.
Grabbed this one as part of one of those frustrating days when you spend the whole day waiting on kids on school holidays. Dropped one at Floriade for work, then tried to kill some time with the other one in Civic until the first one had finished work again, etc.
There was a geocoin in here that was a very tight fit, and so have taken it to move it on to another container, and will probably place it in the Northside Travel bug container for it to find it's way towards the International Airport in Sydney in the hopes that it may make it closer to Germany where it wants to go. Though why a coin called "exploring the great southern land" or some such name, would want to go explore a Northern land like Germany, is beyond my understanding, but ours is not to wonder why, ours is just to help it on it's quest. So it shall be done.
Took the coin, left nothing, signed log, will move the coin on as soon as possible.
Thanks for the cache.

When is this rain going to stop .A spare day and I spend more time sitting in the car ? Blue sky over the city. Heading south.
Was on this side of town so we thought we would give this cache a try. Only a family of Muggles having a BBQ and they took no notice of us. It helps when you have GeoKid looking for a cache in a park. TNLN, TFTC.
Found on my second attempt. The first evening I came by, I felt uneasy about looking for the cache with muggles converging on one of the halls and was looking in totally the wrong area. The second evening, there were muggles in the other hall, but I managed to go straight to GZ and found the cache quickly. Nice hide! TFTC.

What a brilliant hiding spot. Unfortunately as usual I was vertically challenged, but with a bit of adventuring I got the cache. A lovely park.

Dropped off Fuwa YingYing who was hoping to make it to the Beijing Olympics. Alas on the day Australia won a gold in the pole vault, she finds herself now several metres high in Corroboree Park II. (swapped on behalf of Unicornnikita for Kuchera India Unite for Diabetes TB).
#298 - Took a while to find this one as the GPSr keep changing its mind where I should look. I found a lot of good spots without a cache in them! When it finally made up its mind, found a great cache, but nearly had a CNO (could not open) rather than a DNF. To get it open, I ended up levering it on the edge of the nearby BBQ.

I wanted to leave another coin when I was here the other day. But I didn't have it with me. I stopped by tonite to drop off the Kansas Sunshine Coin.
Second time I've been to this park for a cache. Hope this time the cache sticks as it's a rather nice hide! Appreciated it a little more this time, as it was a sunny day. Odd though, both times I came here I went to Maccas beforehand. TFTC
loved this cache, very cool hide. Spotted it straight away, but i think really it was a lucky find. TFTC!
Visiting from California working for the Australian Dept of Defense and I decided do do a few caches. My GPS took me straight to it with no problem, I walked from my hotel down on City Walk. It took a few minutes to recognize the cache. Very nicely done. I had planned to to leave the Rock Hound TB and take the WDD coin BUT WDD was gone and Rock Hound is too big for this cache. I will have to find a different cache for Rock Hound.

Had me thinking for a while, until I resorted to the clue.

Tricky camouflage, but a fun find. Got stuck looking in the wrong place (damned Blackberry GPS).
Loved the home made camouflage on this one as much as I did its predecessor. Thanks Bewilderbeast.
Nice Hide... Looked in the wrong tree for a while. Google Earth was a little out.
I had a look at this last weekend but the GPS was having grief with the trees and pointed in the wrong direction, Too many muggles walking their mutts to do a long search so left for another day. I nailed it's location pretty quick when looking on this day. TFTC Nice bit of work on the hide. TNLN.
Did a quick caching spree at lunchtime and managed to fit this one in. Had to hurry with log though as local playgroup kids were heading straight for us . TNLNSL, TFTC

Spent a little while looking for this one as the GPS was insisting it was 20m away from where it was actually located. Must have been all the tall trees. Anyway, once we expanded a little it was pretty hard to miss. Fantastic container.
Once retrieved a man and his dog walked into the park so we retreated to the nearby bench to sign and wait for him to be done, then we replaced the cache.
Mush of been a lot of hard work to make the camo, very nicely done.
Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.

Our 42nd and last cache for the day under the cover of darkness. Night time forces you to concentrate your eyes more and after searching for a while we had our ah ha moment and found the really impressive cache. TNLN thanks bewilderbeest.
Popped into this cache on the way home from the WWFM event nearby. I liked this container very much. It took me a while to spot it though. Thanks very much.
Decided that I just HAD to find this as it was so close to the event today. Definitely a completely different hide to the previous cache in this park & I managed to find this one much more quickly this time, thanks to having the clue on hand with my new GPSr. (I decided that an extended search with muggles at the picnic table nearby was not wise. In the end I was well concealed from their eyes.) A cleverly constructed cache, albeit a little tricky to open!

Took a while before the GPSr settled down but once it did located the great cache container. Was quite a peaceful spot in the morning.
This one had us going around in circles for a litte while. didn't take too long to log it mith a few mugges around.
Last time I was here was for an annual work breakfast which made me think of the original Corroboree Park cache. Relieved it has been replaced! This took me all over the shop, GPS was everywhere. Eventually found the cache, fantastic container, love the work put into it. Took Coin, LN. Thanks for the cache. ZZ7
