The final Box has gone missing quite a few times, and no longer in Christchurch to maintain it. Time for another cache to be hidden in this area. Thank you for all the great finds!

A great wee walk and a really fun cache to do. Unfortunately we could not find the final part which was a shame. It looks lie some muggles have been in and tried to set fire to where we presume the last cache was. 5 of us spent about 30 mins search around the various poles in the area. Still, a good walk and the first way points were fun and loved the theme. TFTC
First time trying to do a puzzle... don’t understand what I’m supposed to do at the first way point? Looked around for half an hour. Am I supposed to find something or enter the waypoint somewhere?? So confused

If trying to fill in my calendar 11 times over, I ideally needed a cache today - but just one. And though I'd been a bit slack on that recently, I did mean to be more onto it to make it easier for when I am finally close to that goal!
This is also my closest unfound to home, so it was time to finally knock it off!
Took quite a while though, and I had no cell reception, so I tried to PAF when a pocket appeared, but no luck! And I hadn't brought the GPS with! So I just stuck with it, and was quite glad to eventually strike plastic!

I'm starting to think I've lost my mojo! This is the second cache in two days that I've found to be an easy hide *after* having previously failed to find it. I think I need remedial geocaching training.
Mind you, the important thing is that I *did* find it, and kept my caching streak alive in the process.

We had got the numbers sorted a while ago but the cache was missing.
Today, after a pleasant amble through the trees and along the beach we stopped by to make the find. Thanks for replacing it and TFTC.

Our Campervan had some work done on it. We hadn't been campervanning for so long, we decided to spend the night at Spencer Park.
It took us ages to find waypoint two. I had to go back to waypoint 3 twice to find the geocache. I enjoyed the multi in a strange way. A lot of bush bashing was required.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

I had about 3 hours to get from Kaiapoi to New Brighton, how convenient! Nice splace to explore! I managed to get away with only one stubbed toe. TFTC!!
Enjoyed the first superman cache ages ago, so we needed to give this one a go. Thanks for the replacement - this was great fun and a nice walk on a warm winter day. At GZ we were first a bit frustrated with the search, but finally got our hands onto the cache. Thanks for all the work that goes into creating a cache like this and the find.
Was out for a run up the beach and had time for one cache. Spotted that this previous unfound one for us had been replaced recently (thanks 2Wombles) so it was great to pop into GZ and make a very quick find and sign. TFTC
We came from Woolston to have a look in this corner of Christchurch. It was really hot but we took it easy. We went for a stroll.
We found waypoint 1 and 2 without problems. The third one was really tricky. Bush bashing in the heat. We didn't expect it when we had a look at the attributes. Finally we got the coords for GZ. The clue led us directly to the hide. We proudly signed the logbook and we give a favourite point for this nice Multi cache.
Thanks for showing! Tftc

After a great 'catch up' event- decided we would grab one more while in the area. A nice quick find once we got to GZ. tftc
Managed to sort out the final coordinates for this cache a while ago but couldn't locate the cache at the final GZ. It appears that the final GZ could have been a bit of a hangout for people who liked RTDs to drink. Back again today, with confirmation from the CO that I was in the right place. Not many places to hide a cache here, so the cache appears gone. I did have a spare with me, so replaced the cache in a less likely to be found by RTD drinking youths less than a metre away. Thanks for the multi.
Second time here looking for this cache. Co confirmed I was looking in the right area, but no cache was found today. There were quite a few discarded bottles and cans nearby, so I'm not sure if the cache is still here.
Didn't find today despite an interesting adventure. It's possible we mistranscibed something but we were pretty sure ww were all good. Never mind. Will have to come back.
Had another quick search but found nothing. Bubs was sleeping in the car so didn't look for too long.
Yes!, after all the leg work last time I was pleased that this was reinstated by the CO. All good and quickly found.
Thanks COTF for the walk around the area. Cheers.
Thanks COTF for the walk around the area. Cheers.
This is the first multi-cache I've found, and glad to be only the second in the logbook! After reading the previous logs, I can see this is far from a new one though...
Enjoyable multicache, thanks for the very well put together caches. And yes you were correct, a swim at the beach was very tempting.
We had a go at this cache a few years ago and got stuck at waypoint 2 for some reason. I suspect we mustn't have entered the coordinates properly.
Today we had no problems whatsoever and enjoyed a ramble along the trails. Thanks for your effort in placing and maintaining this well thought out multi.

Well, young superpowered people, Mary-Jane is in trouble again and needs your help. Get to it! The cache is good to go again. Have fun.
"Karma report" was absolutely correct. The fire and subsequent repair work has caused havoc for the spidey-senses at this cache. All the way points have been scooped up for repair. Watch this space for a log to say that all is well and in place again. Considering the exposure the boxes get at this cache it's amazing how they actually last.
We will try and get up to this cache soon and check the waypoints and final. It's a popular area and a bit exposed to the weather. The 10 year old who set this has just turned 18, so it's been going for a decent length of time!
No luck today.
Got to where I thought GZ was, but maybe it has been cleaned up after a fire?
Next time.......

Found the first two waypoints with Ciaran Logan as we were going to do the walk to the nearby letterbox cache (except our last phone battery ran out on the way - Foiled) Looking forward to finishing at some point. Enjoying so far
Found all the waypoints and deciphered all the clues with my ten year old. Beautifully put together cache although Mary-Jane's final hidey hole eluded us. Just after New Years so lots other detritus strewn around unfortunately.
We were looking forward to this trip to New Zealand.
After hours of flight from Belgium we finally arrived, picked up our Road Trip Special and started going.
First we organised a little event to meet the locals. It was a blast and we've met some nice people!
After that we did a whole tour around the South Island in 3 weeks, sleeping in the car or our tent.
It was great!
Before we organised our little Meet & Greet event we did some caching in the neighbourhood. We ended up finding all the waypoints but the stash eluded us. Thanks anyway!

YAY!
Although we didn't do the puzzles... still a great hiding spot!!!!!!
TFTC!
P.S: a note for families... at the (icecream) shop, they sell HUGE (HUGE!) double scoop icecreams for $3.50!
AWESOME! [:p]

The last blank space on my calender! Lovely afternoon for a walk. Wish I had known it was heading this way then I would have come more prepared for an extended trek.
What an awesome cache, we had such an amazing walk along the beach and the dunes and the puzzle was so much fun. Many thanks for this great cache, all the stages were good to find and the final as well. Definitely a favorite point from us
Went round and made sure everything was dry and still there. Please leave the boxes upright after you visit the way points as it keeps them dry! Keep caching!
Now this is a fun cache and would be great to do with a group. We must admit to having success with the WPs but having to contact the CO over the final. (Our problem not the cache's.) This was a superbly presented cache with WP contents so protected a little water did one of them no harm at all. Great fun and thanks.
Out on a wee cache raid with Team_Gaters and we decided to head out this way to do some 'clean up'. Mops packed and we headed out to clear the area. We had and agenda, Pines Beach, Brooklands, Spencer Park and then around MacFarlane park in Shirley. This was the ninth stop of the evening. Access to this one was iffy, depending on the gates. Fortunately, we weren't foiled by locked gates and it was short walk to the final GZ. I had previously found all the WPs and worked out the final. I searched and searched and conceeded it wasn't there. Thanks CotF for replacing. It has been a long time between drinks for this cache. I'm stoked to tick this one off, it was heaps of fun and a lovely run around the dunes. Great on for the kids. Long may it last. Now we noticed no one logged the new cache published so we thought we'd head over to have a crack.
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about on a nights caching adventure with TheWanglers. In the general area and he was keen as mustard to find the final for this fun multi as he'd seen that it had received maintenance. We weren't sure how close we could get due to possibility of locked gates - but in for a penny....and we were pleasantly surprised to pull up nice and close to GZ. A short walk later and with the crashing of the surf as a backdrop a shoret search later soon netted the cache. Thanks for putting the multi together. Cheers.
Once again your spidey-senses can tingle. This is a great cache for the children and will take you about an hour to wander around. The final is in place once more and do let us know if any repairs on the WP's needs to be done. Have fun.
Thanks for the reminder to fix this cache. With exams in the way at the moment it probably won't be until the holidays before we'll have time to sort this out. The waypoints will probably need attention too as it can get a bit wet in the grasses there. If this doesn't suit everyone, then we'll have to pull out. Sorry for the delay.
Seems the final has been muggled. Disabled until we can get up there to replace.
My spidey senses failed me for the second time today. I came out last week and collected the info from each baddies lair. The final location I was confident I was in the right place. I found the 'telephone' number and I still couldn't find the prize
We were walking up to Spacfic Place (highly recommended) so took the time to check the Wp's for this cache. It was all a bit wet after the horrible wet week we've had, so we dried it all out, double bagged everything and made sure the hints and clues were up to date. Unfortunately recent events have caused a bit of chaos at the final but we've put a temp final box in the correct spot for you to enjoy. We will fix it when a little bit of time has gone by.
#1,163: Did Whatever a Spider Can!
Five kids (ages 3-11) and two Papas (ages undetermined) came out to this nice area today. After visiting the Earthcache nearby, we headed over to do this great, family friendly multi. Everyone was excited to find all the boxes, and literally ran most of the way through the route. We were able to find all of the WPs and the final using our combined spideysenses. We were all very thankful we could rescue MaryJane, with the 4-year-old making the actual find at the final. As I was looking someplace else, I heard his familiar "Found it!" come from a likely place. He was very excited too. This was a very well-designed multi, with great clues, just enough challenge, and multiple pieces of information that were required to find the final. Kudos to Claw for such a fine job!! Everything is in good shape too.

We were here last week going after Bald Ed's Spencer Park cache and almost went for this one but ran out of time. Today we needed a reason to get out and about. When we arrived, about mid-day, not many people were around. By the time we left, the air was warm, the sun was shining and people were enjoying the last day of day light savings. This cache was quite enjoyable. The final was a small challenge. Nice. TFTC.
An enjoyable wander around the dunes. Had to look hard to find WP3 as it appeared to have slipped a little, but we replaced it according to the hint, even if the colour is a little off this time of year. Final was not in the first or second places we looked, but was definitely in a place a geocacher should think of looking. TFTC.
Started the walk up to South Head with this cache hunt. Found all three waypoints and solved the puzzles. Must have done something wrong as I couldn't find the cache. Thought I was in the right area as there was a lot of trampled grass there. Great fun idea. Must remember to take a seven year old along.
A great multi - surprise so few have attempted it. Nice walk. Needed the hint at WP1. TFTC.
OK we may not be superheroes but we got there in the end. We just needed a bit of rescuing from the spider web that had filled our heads! TFTC
Failed miserably in finding the final but enjoyed the 3 x waypoints and the walk along the beach. We'll be back when our brains are no longer affected by Kryptonite.
A lovely after noon for a wander around the dunes. Some good exercise, and a well designed cache. Most enjoyable! Cheers Gav [4946]
Tracked down with a little of wandering around the sanddunes. Serves me right for taking the route down from one of the waypoints along the beach (although it was a nice walk that way). Thanks for the effort put in on this one. Final WP was in the first place considered so thanks for the clues. Good size cache so dropped off Goomba TB.
This was a really fun cache, and obiously 'Claw of the forest' put a lot of effort into it. Some clues were very tricky but we got there. We really enjoyed ourselves, it's a nice walk along the beach and through the dunes - but beware of prickly weeds at WP1! We picked up Mini Car + t/bug TB215YP (Mini Adventure 2 TB).
One of the best multis I've experienced. Luckily, Wonder woman knew what to do with all the info, the fisherman looked out of his element but all OK in the end. A lot of creative thought & work in this cache I'm sure. + Mini car t/bug #1023
What a fantastic multi. This has to be one of the best multis I ever had the pleasure to do. Thanks Claw.
Managed to rescue Mary-Jane in under the one hour time limit - whew. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Grandalf - you have a successor.

Luckily I had my super-hero StreetWalker with me as I had foolishly left my glasses back at the car, and was unable to read any of the info at the WPs!
Had a very nice walk around the area - as we'd just gathered info for the Brooklands Lagoon earth cache, so it was good to get another perspective of the lagoon. A bit of a hiccup at the final, when we forgot about Mary-Jane's message, but easy find after we put 2 and 2 together.
Thanks for all the hard work setting up this multi. Now need to complete Superheroes 1 after 2 abortive attempts last year!

#885 (4/4 on a sunny Sunday morning). Nice ramble around the spit. Very creative cache, which we enjoyed. TFTC.

Did this one over a couple of weekends after being foiled by muggles several times when approaching two of the waypoints. Easy find in the end. TFTC.
Spent an entertaining evening doing this cache with my wife and daughter, well planned and fun. Left badge, look crab.
I enjoyed this cache. I also was impressed that it was by a ten year old. On a nice afternoon there was no one about. Cheers.
A beautiful day to be out walking with Old Boots!. Decided to look for another cache before completing this one on the way back. +TB -geocoin. TFTC We enjoyed the puzzles.
took about an hour to find all the different caches involved in this one. I suggest the next person wears proper walking shoes and is prepared for sandy feet. I've got a couple of blisters after wearing my work boots and walking in the water and then not putting my socks on but I will survive
Second time around for this one for me. Found I had made a minor mistake with the final coordinates at the 2nd wp. Nice walk and enjoyed it both times. Left Dory TB and Pearl Geocoin both of which should feel happy being near the water. TFTC
After a slight mix up last month, came back to complete Superheroes 2. Good fun, thanks Claw of the Forest!
Quite a while ago (I was lazy logging this cache), we were not successful in finding the final cache. We found all hints, but couldn't find the final.
Perhaps we will try again later.
Perhaps we will try again later.
An enjoyable hour's walk through the dunes picking up the clues and eventually the cache. Though I must remember to take my reading glasses these days for my eyes are not as good as my childhood hero's (Superman). TNLN. Thanks for the cache Claw of the Forest. Cheers.
Found it sometime in October but forgot to log. A very enjoyable cache with plenty of fun involved. TNLN
Well, it took the full hour to get round, as I wrote down all the info at each WP - and a lot of it was not needed. Nice walk by the sea though - it was a hot day and I almost felt like a swim!! Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1427)
Loved It! Gathered up all we needed and went to final in, like you said, about an hour. Fun going around the waypoints and trying to keep taking the baddies out. The green goblin was hard to get but got their in the end, by knocking him flat on the ground and we got to rescue Mary Jane from Doc Oc
Got to final and noticed that we did not get FTF, (bo and bronnie did of course!) but still walking away another great adventure in our pockets......... can't wait till #3!!!!!!!!! At least we got it logged on the computer first so that counts for something.....
Thanks Claw!!!!!

TFTC, claw! lovely day to be out caching and nice place to wander around. lots of fun for the family to sort out puzzles and waypoints. this multi obviously took a bit to set up. much appreciated for that, claw of the forest!!
dropped GC that likes to be near playgrounds as nice one nearby with spiderman friendly structure.
