A great little themed cache. Also love the camo(?) job.

Had a few hours walking around the area and collected 3 caches, this being the last one. Didn't get lost but had an interesting 'balancing' act to perform to get over to the GZ side. (see attached photo.)

TNLN and thanks for yet another view of the harbour and bridge.

Cheers,

You know you're a geocacher when...
you're lost, mainly because you weren't really sure where you were going and nothing to do with the GPS which did get you where you thought you meant to go,
and you pull the car over to try to figure out what next and you think
"wow, this would be a pretty good spot for a cache"
and you look at your GPS and there is already one 'exactly' there.

Hahaha, beaut spot, not at all what I expected from a Glynn camo job so laughed out loud at the find. Didn't even have a pen on me to sign the log but am claiming it anyway! TFTC.

Felt a bit conspicuous with this cache after the events of yesterday... I was shocked when the All Black management dropped Buck!

Didn't have a clue that this area was here. We drove around having a good old look at everything.

Nice easy find on the way home from work. A nice view at GZ of the bridge and not far from some cricket fields where I played many years ago!

I had no idea this place was here! How long have I lived in Auckland?? Came at night . . . a few muggles out for walkies. Very clever container. Thanks!! TNLN

WHo knew this lovely walkway and such great views were here for the visiting?! Thanks for bringing me out here. I'll return with a blanket and a picnic! Only one walker about. He was content to pass me by.
Watch out for the stickers/prickles!
And the container . . and the camo . . . I love to see variety! Ta.
Picked up Monopoly Coin, thanks. Dropped off Bear key chain and bead bracelet.

Did this as part of my growing series of running routes carefully crafted to include a cache along the way. Great lot of research put in- thanks for that. And, as usual, an awesome camo job on the cache. Doing the running route thing means...
TNLNSL
Thanks.

Had planned to do this today but arrived at lunchtime and the gate was closed which meant an 850 m walk. Unfortuntely junior Zorgon vetoed the attempt as she was keen on some lunch. I told her to harden up but surprisingly this didn't help. Oh well - next time.

Great hide and a lovely spot. We were able to see our B&B from the cache site. TFTC. Team Vainui.

Parked on main road and walked accross the park.. didn't realise there was road access right to GZ... turns out that wasn't a bad place to park as there was another cache only 60m from parking spot. Nice little private beach area down there... quick easy find with Kaz. TNLNSL TFTC.

Coming in from the Calliope Road side is not a good option. Got my feet muddy crossing a muddy creek, but had no problem finding the cache. Good spot and good theme. Thanks for the cache.

Tried earlier in the pouring rain. Got absolutely soaked! Decided to give it a miss and came back later with the Y family. Funny the GPS was more on the button this time in the dry now. Maybe rain fade and before and sat position better at a later time. While just checking around with GPS again. Mrs Y had just quietly nabbed it.
Lightned the load by removing a geocoin.

FTF!!!

Found quite quickly, coords pretty good. Really nice spot. Walked in from the road, the long way and back out the short way. I didn't know where to drive right in to where the cache is.

In: some stamps and coins
Out: a couple of weird coins.

Thanks!

Got to thank St Ouens for ringing us and letting us know about this one. Swung back past and its nearly a drive-by! What cool camo. Must have been about 3rd to visit, people are busy today. Great spot too. TFTC

3.00pm. Carried on from the Men @ Work cache to this one leisurely walking the dog. YAPIDNA for us as I don't think we have been over to this side of the peninsula before. Looks like it has been a busy area today. Had a good laugh at the cache camo - good imagination Glyn!!

#696. Typical. Was within 200 metres of here with Tramper Ted at 9:30am this morning before heading up to Okura. Then this pops up at 10:30. You'd almost think Glyn was watching finger hovering over submit button. TFTC. Wink

STF, but last to log for today... We were a bit too late at GZ and missed the FTF. Well, no problem. Parked at the road and had to walk all the way (just to see the convenient way to the cache while walking) and found the cache within a minute (great camo idea, but it may seem a bit too appealing to muggles...).
