The main aim for today was this. It didn't take too long to work out the final and then I dived in. Took a few moments to find it but got there when I opened my eyes TFTC Team chelmo adopted by Kiwi Nomad, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #4924
Looked for this one a couple of years ago on a very dark misty night around 11:30.Today needing one bit of info to pin point the old tree. Soon had him sorted then into the . There was a very friendly fantail hovering about real close to face having a great conversation. Cache found. Now homeward. I was on a drop off trip from home to Mt Hutt Retreat then return. A big day driving with a couple of hours caching. Normally longer time caching but traffic on road up ment a 7 hour trip.
What a great rural tidy peaceful birdsong cemetery! Little bit of tree pushing and a cache was found. The recent wet weather has caused the natural object to swell so extraction was patient and finger pulling . Eventually got it and have replaced 2cms away under a natural overhang with a rock to secure. TFTC and taking me there.
Was wandering around 2330h, very foggy and drizzling. I had worked out some of the numbers before I arrived so had an idea where it could be so searching for the hint item. But there were many of those among the trees. Too misty and dark to do this due diligence hence a write note instead of a dnf.
Foubd okd aflie.. as with any multi its a huge relief when you arrive at the calculated coords (even if you missed a few of the numbers) and there is the cache. T4tc
We had a wander around the grounds gathering information, not the best day for caching, it was drizzling, but we already had wet feet so just carried on. Nice to tick this one off at last. Cache in good condition. TFTC!
Tftc! All in working order. 1 headstone requires some creativity as it is broken. Log container quite wet could use a dry out and replacement plastic bags. FP from me.
Recall the original Alfie, (one of my first caches), little chance of the wind blowing this cache away; TFTC
On a caching trip inland with Coconut3 doing the earthcache at Mt Sunday for Earthcache day. Aftetwards, time to do a few trads and multis. A few times going up and down the rows to find all the info necessary to find the final. Got thete in tje end and found the cache wedged tight at the hint item. Tftc.

Having a great day out caching with JudeE. We had been to Mount Sunday with a group to do the Earth Cache and then stopped on way home for some others.
This is a lovely tidy area and we walked the rows more than once or twice to find the info. Then walked to the cache, in a very snug safe spot. Thanks for this multi and the cache Kiwi Nomad.

A cool little cemetery, and I was surprised to notice that the cache has not been found for some time! It may become part of the hide if not removed and replaced periodically! TFTC!!
In the area with a bit of time spare so stopped off to find this cache. A cool wee cemetery in a lovely spot. Surprised to recognise a name near the gates....
Set too and gathered some digits quickly and bee lined it to the cache. A cool random wee spot. Old Alfie has seen better days! Nice to finally sign this one off. Cheers.

#15348. What a great location for a cemetery; brilliant view of Mt Somers. Bit of route finding needed to get to GZ, but once there Troodles made a quick find. TFTC.
After spending a couple of days exploring the area, it was time for StreetWalker and me to return to Christchurch.
I had already found some information on-line, so once we only needed to find to more numbers. The first was quickly found, thanks to eagle eyed SW, and while he was looking for the last number (it was the least significant digit), I headed off to my calculated final. After a bit of thrashing around in the undergrowth, I made the find just as SW made it to GZ with the missing number.
Great wee cemetery and a nicely hidden cache. TFTC.

Tftc! Nice stroll round the cemetry to a fairly quick find. Cache is nice and dry
Day 1 of our 6-Day End of the Year trip to Dunedin. We are trying to put more of an effort into doing multi caches so what better way than to be encourage to do a 10day multi streak challenge. Though I have to admit that we did try to cheat at first hoping we could find it by the clue but it wasnt specific enough with all the hint objects. So onto the multi. Cemetery caches arnt my favourite cos I will often walk right past a name and not realise it and then have to come back around. Due to this we couldnt find Q's G & H but just guessed and was taken right to the cache. Surprisingly the cache is still in pretty good order considering it doesnt get alot of visitors. Multi #1of3 for the day and Day#3/10 of our multi streak. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies today. Happy Caching
Spent some time wandering around finding the info. then more time putting the new co-ords in the GPS. Found our way to the cache and then had trouble fighting the undergrowth to get back to the car. An enjoyable outing. TFTC
Got some cheap flights a few weeks ago so the plan was to come down for a big run in Ashburton to achieve the 120 in one day and get the gemstone. OMG! We started at the crack of dawn and finished in the dark. Foggy and cool but cleared by lunchtime. It should have been achieved much quicker. We had not really planned a route and detoured a bit. Some of this backfired as we ended up on some long gravel roads that had missing caches and was most disappointing. We got stuck for about an hour on a multi I specially wanted for qualifying for another cache which was frustrating. However, we made it - with a few to spare I believe - but are totally shattered. Too many to log individually so are doing the copy and paste. Many thanks to all who placed caches. What beautiful countryside and we love the fact we could pull over and park safely. Not keen on the many prickly pine trees so many were hidden under. The breeze only got up in the afternoon and it was a lovely warm breeze - not like Manawatu freezing winds even at this time of the year. More traffic on the roads than we expected and they fair motor along. Many thanks for the caches. It has made the whole trip worthwhile.
OMG this was hard. checked all clues twice and were correct. final trek into the jungle and were rewarded with a find. Took us probably an hour of our time. bugga. Giving it a favourite.

A quick find with the family on the way home. Thanks for bring us here very interesting.
Great wee multi. A nice wander around and made the final find. Tftc found with rayzr 2
finally making the time to call in and grab this one on a wet day of course had the kids for extra help and didn't take long to get all the info and find the cache tftc
Yay first to find this cache for 2016!!! You must have the coordinates to find this one
Quick find after finding all the required info. A couple of the headstones are getting hard to read but all good. Container in good nick as well as hasn't been fund in almost a year. TFTC.
That was a lot of fun. Took some time to find all we needed. Great cache. Tftc
13192… We missed a couple of numbers as well, one headstone was broken, but we managed to make the necessary calculations to locate the final. Alfie would have been an impressive specimen in his day, many thanks.
Super little find on a beautiful day. Missed a couple of numbers but still managed the find. Nice to see the cache in that spot; meant no dangerous climbing. Thank you.
Got enough of the values to get a valid GZ. What a restful resting place. Thanks for the hide.
Interesting looking at the tombstones, alot of them were very young when they passed. swapped a subway card for a koala toy TFTC
I really, really wanted 4 multis today for the 4x4 challenge; I also wanted a drive in the country - so Alfie was #1. After the calculation - how to approach .... anyway, Alfie was mine.
A lovely peaceful cemetery, perfect day. TFTC.

Great puzzle and an even better hide that had me re-checking calculations! Worthy of a milestone!
Some of the answers are so sad. We really enjoyed this one though. Alfie wasn't what we thought he would be. TFTC
Had a bit of trouble with Mr Sinton but he came to the party in the end. Lovely sunny day to be walking up and down and up and down the cemetery.
Came here in a howling gale and managed to get a number wrong. Couldn't work out how cache could be smack bang in the middle of a paddock. Went home to ponder and returned the next day and corrected our mistake, leading us straight to the cache.
preserved in the bad weather and eventually Bloos Boy found Alfie. There were a lot of junior Alfies.
Poor Alfie indeed; he looked as though he was more than caable of caring for himself right up until the end. And what an appropriate place! TFTC
Great puzzle, great views and a nice cach to find, on a beautiful spring day. TFTC
As Smoothhound and I were passing by on the way to seek other caches further south the decision was made to treat this cache as a small off-track diversion. It was quite helpful having assistance in the gathering the necessary data. We didn't find one of the answers but a first-up correct 50/50 guess soon had the cache in our hands. Thanks for the cache.
Dropped in with BaldEd as we drove about on the Great Diversion trail. More than one person searching detail helpful and soon had the date to plot Alfie. Damn the norwesters.
Took quite a bit of time to hunt down the names in the cool and the dark by headlamp. I wasn't able to get them all, but found enough to come up with a viable solution. Made my way to GZ, and spend a little bit more time hunting the cache. Cheers Gav [9719]
Had to guess one number but obvious so we were able to go straight to Old Alfie. Easy find. Poor Carter, couldn't find him.
Great cache, took time as some names/dates very worn but don't let that faze you. Looking from low angles can help things become clearer.
Another well kept country cemetery, you can learn quite a bit just by reading the headstones.TFTC
A very peaceful spot for a bit of historical research. Felt very sorry for the family 'tragically burned' in the forest too. Took a bit of a scramble to tackle Alfie but a quick found once GZ achieved. TFTC, Biggles.
Really nice multi-cache, took quite a while but found all of the answers. Visited old Alfie and soon had the cache in hand. SL TFTC
Number 9 for the day, A great day for geocaching. This was interesting, up and down trying to find the numbers, I can say we really no the place now, missed 2 numbers and rather than go through again I guessed, so I search both sides of the paddock for old "Alfie" and when I seen him I knew I was in the right place. Another new grave in the last week or so which means the cemetery is still being used. TFTC TNLN
Not a good idea to try and wing the co-ords and just try and work from the clue when the sun is belting down. Epic fail in that sense, got the coords and voila found the mighty beast that be (remains of) Old Alfie. Let me just say also, ouch! TFTC
Yes, definitely not one to try and shortcut, even if it was too stinking hot to be out in the open in the sun. The other tip is to believe what the GPS says, don't doubt the answers. Too determined to give up, glad we got it in the end. Quite the wee adventure. TFTC.
Bit of struggle to find Alfie as we had attempted to shortcut the search by guessing a few of the coord numbers. Reverted to finding all the details and got to old Alfie in end. What a nice neat country cenetery. TFTC
We didn't find Donald, but still managed to find the cache without him. An interesting wee cemetery. Alfie must have been impressive, especially when descending. TFTC
Funny how things work out - nobody has visited this cache in over 2 months then 2 visits on one day. As well as that two other couples were walking round this remote cemetery as well. That Alfred was a mighty being! TFTC (527)
Raining heavily so a little difficult keeping paper dry while collecting clues. Found all but one, but that was enough to find Alfie and the cache, thanks.
It was unbelieveable sweat-dripping-down-the-back hot this location, and there were were wandering back and forth looking for names and numbers!!! Are we mad or what? We could not find one of them, then realised that we did not really need it if we guessed right, which we must have. We found Alfie, went WOW! and then fortunately quickly found the cache, before retreating to the van, which frankly, wasn't much cooler!!!

A very peaceful place but very hot today. Only the terrain rating confirmed the GPS was pointing in the right direction
Nice and peaceful cemetery, good clues and accurate coordinates, all together with a nice weather with clear skies and sun, made this cache a good substitute for the missing ski day.
Took Baby Firefighter, left goat.

Another cemetery visited in the name of geocaching, this was a good wander around and it all worked out. A lot of stories in places like these, like the Clifton family (5 of them) who perished in the Alford Forest fire in 1941. The cache was an easy find if you trusted the GPS TNLN Thanks.
One wrong figure can give you a little country ramble.Went back & corrected the error & all was well.TN/LN TFTC
1868. We had an interesting walk around to discover the long lost friends but it was not so easy getting to Alfie. We were sure we must have made a mistake somewhere but no - when we decided to trust our figures and do quite a bit of scrambling there was Alfie as promised.
By the time we were there there at 7.30 tonight, the surrounding hills were covered with misty cloud so there wasn't much in the way of a view.
Thanks
Iris & Rodney

Despite sombre location, we had great fun doing this cache. When we got final co-ordinates we nearly "lost the faith" but when we put our trust in the GPS found it with ease. As a final resting place this one takes some beating - what a view.

Like most cemetary caches, it took a while. Luckily the ones we didn't find on the way through the first time were (a) quick to find, and (b) would have been obvious from the coords anyway. Nonetheless, when we worked out the coords, we wondered if they were really right. They were, and after a quick bit of trespassing, found it easily. Then we sat down to a picnic beside the fence outside (where the dog was allowed) - bet not many people have done that! TNLN, Thanks.
Nice cemetery........ took a bit of work finding all the clues, and then a bit of bushwork to find the cache... TNLN
It was a bit of a mission getting to Alfie, but worthwhile when I finally did. Great cemetery multi.

Pretty good little multi. It was heavy drizzle as I wandered around getting soaked, so wasn't happy about the route I should have taken to Alfie himself. Managed to find an alternative route which was easier.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Not a lie - bet to FTF again. Poor old alfie - impressive site and good hide. TFTC TNLN SL The start of a very productive day, especially for KC
Oh yeh oh yeh . My second FTF. Very nice hide. Mum took a picture of me & Dad with Alfie - will not post tho, beause you can see his bottom. Left Geotag took geocoin TB TFTC SL

Well of course we had to come and find it. Had a feeling we were abit too leasurely in driving out late in the afternoon to get ftf. For those of you who don't know this was the 7th local cache published this weekend and the 1st locals could hunt for as the others were to release our raceing jeeps in.
Before arrival thought we might beable to short cut the process but on getting out of the car changed our mind.
Took longer than hoped ran out of time to do others.
Boys had fun JK helping me to return it.
On finding it went in from grass and went out the other side which I can honestly suggest not doing, almost pulled a couple of muscles and the blackberry will be alot worse by summer. The only word that comes to mind is OUCH!
