Very hot and plenty of flies for company up there. Great spot! Views for ever. Awesome photo of me with a fly up my nose, lol*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
With phone reception dodgy despite being at ET's comm tower, reverted to the GPS. Being on the upside collecting the earthcache, went down the embankment in search of this hide. A lot easier to find the cache looking up than peering over n' down. All good with this oldie and another one off the list. Thanks way-finder for keeping this oldie on life support.
While I was still digging around in rocks, TeamARF made the find! TFTC
Thought I do a little road trip/camp out for the weekend and the earthcache nearby was the reason for the trip. Was going to head down yesterday arvo/last night but Boulia got 40mm of rain yesterday, and Mount Isa had a bit last night. The road on the clay pan made for interesting driving for a 2WD.Nice spot Cheers
Thanks for the cache! Pretty cool spot! Continuing our adventure on the Outback Way!
TFTC smile 16846 out and about on a lovely day signed and replaced FPThank you way-finder for placing this cache for our enjoyment
QOGM is over, so now is the opportunity to take a few days bresk and head to Mount Isa via Boulia with hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and Snickersallan. What a great find this is. Love the rock formations - worthy of an Earth Cache perhaps?Log signed and cache replaced as found at 11:01 am on 25 September 2023. TFTC, way-finder
The CO of this cache certain ticked the suggestion to bring us to an interesting place. We spent far too much time here but did not regret. (Rod come and have a look at this. Rod look at this ...... were the cries )Thank you for bringing us here to see the beautiful colours and patterns.TFTCache way-finder
After QOGM concluded as I was in the area decided to wander even further from home.TFTC way-finder
Day 2 of our Outback Way adventure road trip, and after an overnight stay in Boulia, we headed down south early to find an old cache before heading back to town and out to this old one.Accompanied by RoddyC, hatzofff, and grannysmith1947, we travelled up to the Telstra tower and over to the GZ area.Cache was found quickly, and then we admired the beautiful colours of the very brittle limestone that was all around us, truly amazing Thank you, way-finder, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment
Parked up for the view and I popped over the edge to search. Didn't take long to locate the cavhe in excellent condition for its age. Tftc
Thanks way-finder for the cache. It’s #1646 for us. We found your cache on 29 August 2022. Took a bit of hunting and remembering that my GPS doesn’t do vertical! Found it in the end.
TFTC wow what a view, good time to stop as we watched 2 cattle road trains go past. We’re thinking the tower is 200mts. Be nice to camp on top but pushing on a bit further.
Out with Shumba7 on a road trip through the centre to Birdsville for the Big Red Bash. TFTC
TFTC. Found with Algae ️we are on a road trip from Ballarat to Birdsville, off to the big red bash. Grabbing some smilies along the way in some towns. Saw a squirrel up a tree here…

Awesome sunset find along the outback way! Just mind the wandering cows but the scenery at the spot is mind blowing and especially on golden hour.
With a recent DNF, we weren't sure if we'd find anything here but while I clambered around on the rocks checking out the small caves and Wayn0 disappeared around the corner, Karicka made the find. Thanks for the cache
Stop number two or three for the day, depending on what and who counts.
An almost empty landscape on the way from the Boulia Junction.
Did not take long to find the cache, in good condition.

Couldnt find it but felt like it was obvious and we were just missing it. A hint would be great!.
We have headed from A (our home in SW of WA) to B via the Savannah Way now sadly it's time to head back to A via the Outback Way but thankfully breaking up the drive with a few caches here and there along our route.
After spending the night in Winton and having the best Chicken Parmy at the hotel, I rated it 10/5 it was that good, and Mr dimor gave his Reef n Beef 5/5 we are again on our westerly journey.
I'm glad I read on wikicamps on where the turn off is to get to within metres of the cache. A quick find by Mr dimor as I valued my safety over getting this cache

Traveling on outback Way with Crack n Lee Lee. Ed (2bee) found this one in a jiffy. He had worked for Telstra for over 23 years so it was fitting that he made the find. TFTC
We are heading off on an outback adventure with Mrs Just a Trifle looking forward to visiting Goodward Station in Boulia, which was once owned by her grandfather, and Mr Just a Trifle hoping to climb Ayers Rock before it is permanently closed to climbing
As usual, with responsibilities caring for grand children and elderly parents, we still can not take the time we would really like to explore this great land of ours so yet again it is mostly an express trip through some terrific locations.
We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you way-finder for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Perhaps the only cache coming across the Outback Way where I could see buildings in the distance. A short drive off the main road for this one, then back onwards to the east.

I'm amazed no one has been here since last year. We loved this spot and spent the night camped below the tower - what an amazing sound all night long with the wind blowing through the wires. Remember one thing when you are geocaching - the gps cannot always tell you altitude!
I think the tower must be about 130 metres - maybe even more. tftc

Another one found! A truly great series and it provides nice breaks while driving along. We are heading across the Plenty to Alice and enjoying the caching at the same time Tftc
TFTC. Hubby played a little cricket with an abandoned white post and rocks, while I searched for the cache. Great hiding spot, rewarded with a great view.
After a leisurely bush camp last night and a few drinks around the camp fire we got off to a bit of a late start today and the sun was well up by the time we opened our eyes but that's what holidays are about
We have seen quite a few of these towers along our travels but because the road isn't straight and winds around we rarely see them at their 40-50km intervals. It would have been a massive task putting all these towers up, we feel that it will be an even greater one laying fibre optic cable across this huge country but it would be a fantastic benefit to people in the outback.
Until then we need these towers to hide caches at so although this took a little while to locate it was once we had the elevation correct the co-ords were spot on and the log book now contains our name.
Thanks again way-finder for the cache.

Another great night of bush camping under the stars last night
And bright and early,
I continued me slow cruise along the Donahue,
eastwards, ever eastwards
First caching stop for the day was at the tower which I could see from about 15 kms away
I drove on in up the hill on to the high plateau !!
Magnificent views from up here [^]
A worthy detour off the beaten track for sure.
A short stroll to the edge of the world,
took me to GZ.
A short scramble around was required to locate the well hidden cache,
but at a suitable elevation,
the cache was found under the obvious pile of rocks
As for the activity proposed ...
... forget it !!
I couldn't be bothered counting red/white red/white
I am happy that this tower is just bloody big
Satisfied ??
So am I

Hi there way-finder - we camped overnight at Jervois Station and this morning headed further towards Queensland and Brisbane. After calling into Tobermorey Station (for a nice surprise) we arrived at this cache which is caravan friendly with good views of the area and may be a good overnight stop. This is our find #4537 - thanks to way-finder for this cache.
6248 Found by baby&Mrs gopher in company with Hercs&Pinky at 1455. Well we sized up the main feature at about 300 feet with a lot of conjecture by all. Went for a walk to what we thought was gz, yes well it was but not there. Cache in good condition good co-ords. SL Tnx way-finder.
Found whilst in cahoots with baby&Mrs gopher
Don't know about calling ET but there is an alien sound coming from under the bonnet of "Big Moma"
Hoping there is a mechanic in Boulia as it sounds like a bearing or bush has lost the plot.
Thanks for the cache

Don't log many DNFs (even tho' they were.) Lovely views. NOt enough time and too many prickles to take a long time to search all the places. Interesting geology all those rocks between the sparse vegetation. Reminds me of a cache called Island View in SA.

Found 5th July while travelling the Donnahue Hwy. Geohounds were getting restless so parked up way before the cache and let them have a run in. And out. And sideways, as hounds do. So far from the road no traffic to worry about, and so many rocks to look under, but perseverance paid off in the end.
interesting spot and a good chance for all of to stretch our legs
Thanks way-finder

We found the right way to approach this cache and managed to park very close to GZ. Then it was just a matter of finding the hiding place which did not take very long. The cache container and contents were all in good condition and the log was soon signed and then all was replaced. Thank you way-finder for placing this cache.
Travelling around Australia.
We are now catching up on a few weeks of backlogs due to having no internet for nearly 3 weeks.
Headed out with Tassie Trekkers to search for this cache in the freezing cold 8degrees. Dressed in winter clothes, thermals, beanies, jackets and gloves. Having read the previous logs we werent hopeful but it actually turned out to be a quick find once out of the car. So quickly the log was signed then back to the warm car. Cache in good order.

Today while staying at Boulia for the camel races we went with FelixII to travel out to the cache. We could see the tower getting closer and the turnoff up the gravel road was soon upon us. Arriving at GZ, we all jumped out to find the cache on this very cold and drizzly day. Mr FelixII went one way and Mr T went the other way, bingo Mr FelixII soon had the cache in hand from its hidy hole, we signed the log and replaced back, cache and contents are in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Disappointing DNF with the geokids. Too many rocks to look under. Thanks for the info.
Very hard to locate but the view is excellent after all the Mitchell Grass plains
Wow, what a view after all those km's on the flat road. That tower sure is big. Thanks for another interesting stop

Another wonderful view we would have missed except for the cache. Thanks again way-finder! A few mugglers around but mostly of the four legged type and the only 2 legged one was on a quad moving the others along quite swiftly so not paying any attention to those tourists having a cuppa on top of the hill. We've seen 2 of these towers in our travels today but happy to stop at the third one to find a cache. Lucky for us this was here because we found a small adjustment job required on our trailer. It's 4.30pm and still quite warm. The cache is well protected and in good condition. We estimate the tower about 250m high. TNLNSL TFTC Heading to Boulia for the night and then onto Birdsville for the races.

This is my idea of how a proper cache hide should be, and the wet road and flooded creek crossings only added to the enjoyment !

How embarrassing having your girl friend find one before me. Guess I`m only human after all. (WELL DONE). TNLN TCTF Thanks. Little further west we go.
I had the old co-ordinates for this one and found the heap of rocks and fragments of the container destroyed by the sun. I realise now that I did have the new co-ords on the list but didn't think to check. I did look in several likely looking places but missed the right one. I certainly did the work and found enough evidence to claim the cache!

Found the cache but container very brittle & has been wet inside. Didn't have a replacement container with us so had to dry out contents and placed cache back in position upside down so water wouldn't get in through broken lid. Easy find. On to Tobermorey!
