What a picture perfect spot. What amazing sand dunes. We saw seals on the rocks. I doubt the cache is still there after so many dnfs.
This cache has so many dnfs and two records of needing maintenance which nothing has been done about. It isn't real fun looking for something that is most likely not there anymore. I believe this cache should be archived so that someone else can place a cache in this beautiful spot.
Sorry all. I live in the USA now so can't maintain this cache. It lasted 8 years so that's pretty good!
Prefect weather for us on way to nelson bay, wow nice view beach, good spot but very disappointed no cache... see logs listed was many DNF, ...
WOW! There was a bracelet and a geo ball. So much fun. This was my first find!!!
the wind was howling here today. really blowing everyone grabbed there coats but Ratdog and I have forgot to bring one oh well. we tough and it wasn't really cold just windy. the water was dirty and the beach was closed We only here for a few hours so we will make the most of it.
We found this cache as the trail was a little obvious and so was the cache as it was open and spread out. I must say I would never never leave a TB here as they just go missing.
Log signed we replaced the cache in its hide.
now time to go sand boarding.
I grew up near here and I must say thing have changed and how in the last 40 years. When I was a kid this area was closed as the army looked for unexploded mines in the sand dunes I recall stockton beach was opened in the early 70's for general use again. In those day we could always find big pippies on the beach but now you lucky to find a baby one. the surf was always fun here too but today nothing very disappointed with the day we chose to head to the beach of my childhood.

Our day at the beach was marred by horrible wind. no swimming today the water was real dirty and the beach was closed. easy find on the cache. it was open and spread out but we gathered it up signed the log closed the box up and replaced in the spot we assume it is meant to be. Very busy here today and it seems that everyone is a tourist. next visit we will take the time to have a good look around.
on a good note we went sand boarding with the army camp people it was great highly recommended. even on a windy sand blown day.

Nice simple find. None of the hundreds of muggles took any notice of us looking for the cache.
TFTC!!! Haven't been up here in years. Didn't know they had done up the surf lifesaving club. It looks amazing! Great spot for a cache. Thanks =)
Went out with team "lost in cache / team bob" - ACTchil, KittyKatch, Grimraider, Wombatatcrows and Mr Roo after doing the power trail to grab a few more caches and see the stockton dunes, grab a cemetery multi and see the sands My school sports colour was Birubi so even keener to grab this one with the team. It has been such a fantastic day in great company. tftc Zom
We managed to make our way into this area with the idea that we could do the earth cache and a few extras. Wow - that's a lot of sand out there. DarzeeDi made the find while the rest of us covered for her. Having a great weekend in Port Stephens picking up lots of caches. Thanks for this one
found with team BOB (DarzeeDi, KittyKatch,GrimRaider, MrRoo and wombatatcrows) the dunes are amazing tftc Zom
Thanks! Found this before a jog down the beach. It's such a long beach - and hardly anyone if you go down a little way. Nice hide! Get some food at the cafe if you have time.

Got this one a while back whilst in the area for the sand boarding! Catching up on some logs after a 22 day trip, found this one nice and easy, lovely spot, tftc.
Found it on a day of extremely wild winds. Even the camels on the beach were being sandblasted. TFTC.
TFTC log was too wet to sign or handle . Lid leaking replaced snap lock bag with new log. Very disappointed there were none of the 5 trackables that currently says are there
We love this beach and come here a lot in summer.....had lunch at the lovely café and it was a bonus to watch a pod of dolphins surf the waves....perfect day!! This one found by Mr 11.
Another different spot in the area, very popular today, must be really busy in season but quickly spied the target area to make an easy find.
What a great beach. The kids loved to play between the rocks during low tide.
The bocks is a bit wet.

Have dropped you at "Birubi Sands" overlooking the beautiful white Sand Dunes of the East Coast
Found the cache and left there sunny the budge, our german friend to rest a bit on this beautiful beach. Merci pour la cache
Yeah the jacobsgang and dog found it. Pretty accurate sat nav on the old iPhone!
Quick find after 1 hour of sandsurfing. Thanks for the cache.

An easy find. However it looks like someone put hand cream in there. The log book was damaged, so we couldn't log it. Maintenance definitely needed.
the last for this beatyful day. the camel was calling us.

Found quickly. Many muggles as new surf club is being built beside GZ. Cache was half filled with water. Needs maintenance. Rusty, wet items. No TBs. Drained water from container but needs different type of container to waterproof items within.
It's been a little while since I have been down here. Since then they have begun to build a surf club and there is a large stockton tourist market. TFTC!!!
Have been here quite a few times before and have a few great memories of this place playing around in the dunes in the 4x4's and sand boards.
Since then this place has really has turned into a tourist attraction.
Cache was found quickly and is quite damp inside. Thanks for bringing me back

Sorry! Forgot to log a 'found it' on this one a few weeks back in Father's Day- def needs maintenance- will post a pic of wet contents- beautiful afternoon on the beach though great spot to be
It was easy to find, but the container wasn't closed properly when we found it. Almost every item was wet. Clever place to hide it, though.
What a beautiful spot! Easy find thanks to the clue, although plenty of muggles around. Cache is very wet, the log is sopping wet and all the contents are rusty and wet. Signed the nice dry log that TeamMongrelguts left. Cheers! [:o)]
Nice walk along the beach to this one. Took a little while since our GPS signal was all over the place. Signed the dry log. And look!!! Camels!!! We came back the next day and we went for a camel ride. Highly recommended.
Another good cache located while on holiday in the area.
Signed log here then on to the next one!

A great place to visit. The geocache contents are all very damp and need some attention. TFTC.
Nice and easy find thanks to the hint!
Stopped there after spending a fantastic sunny autumn day playing in sand dunes with our 4WDs
The sand was very challenging at the Laves Lane entrance.
P.S. Container and a log book are extremely wet...

Had to wait quite a while to be able to retrieve cache unobserved. Beautiful day = (too) many people. TFTC!
On our way home from Port Stephens after a lovely week's holiday with my family and my parents (myfos), we decided to stop in and look at the sand dunes. One half of the party went to drop off the keys at the estate agent, so our half had a few minutes to search for a cache while waiting. We found the objects in question, and soon determined the correct place to search. The log is fairly wet, as the bag doesn't close properly, so could do with some TLC. TFTC
Lovely day, Great enjoyed around of Port Stephens caches, wow beautiful view of sands hills and stop for lunch.... Easy to find as hide very well thanks
Initially we wanted to visit the earthcache, too. But today it was far too hot to climb up the dunes.

Went for a walk with the president around to the Tank traps in the car park and as we walked back I said that would be a great place to hide a cache there.
Lo and behold got back to camp and the president checked the co ords and guess what, that was where the cache is. The President could not believe it, and just shook his head. 8D

Quick find in a beautiful location. First visit to this beautiful area since we started geocaching. Cache a bit wet and log full. No travel bugs found in cache. Left a travel bug, took nothing. TFTC.
I wanted to check out the sand dunes and this is the closest cache. Absolutely amazing place.
