What a waste of a morning! [:(!]
Should have read the logs before setting out on the hunt - then I would have known.....
Suggest confirming the cache is there or, since there hasn't been a word from the owner on her in quite a while - archive!

Another DNF. I attempted this one two days running rechecking the co-ordinates a second time. Again I was put in the same location but for the life of me I couldn't find it. Must be well camoflagued
I've been trying to find this one for awhile without success. Today I enlisted the help of stealth seeker but still no joy. If it is still there can we please have another clue?
out with Cairnsgal. Double checked her co-ords in the park, then hunted everywhere for 30mins. If it's there, it's too well camouflaged for us. A nice Sunday morning anyway.
Team xtreme bannana Puddin with Ludwig Leichardt , back at it again.
we also had a DNF after a hour long search.
might need a check up to see if cache still exisits.

Pretty sure we had the numbers right, looked and looked, no luck though. Lots of funny faces from people walking by.
Put all the answers together and went searching at 1800 last night. After 20 minutes gave up. Will recheck my answers again (even though the GZ seems obvious to me)
We spent a bit of time reading the stories at the first waypoint, which were both interesting and tragic. A short stroll to GZ later we searched for quite a while but did not locate the cache despite re-reading the logs and the hint. DNF for us, unfortunately. TFTC, though !

17.25 - Interesting Multi. Had several attempts at GZ without any joy. After confirming the coords and reading the logs I had another go last night. Funny how the brain works. I have been at GZ a few times and yesterday something that was not there before, just jumped at me. T4TC and challenge.
Nice little multi [^] Managed to step out and grab this one after the last sesion for the day in the conference that I was attending in a near by hotel. The fact that it had been raining most of the day meant that there were not too may muggles around. TFTC
finally found it, and wasn't that difficult.... thanks for replacing.....

In town for a conference, this was a great cache to get me walking around the area. Found and decoded the information simply enough, but then couldn't get a clear enough run at the GZ because of muggle activity (even with a re-attempt later at night).
Perhaps if I'm ever visiting again I will have another crack.

I got the coordinates OK but there were too many muggles to attempt a search for the cache. I'll come back when no one's around (4am?).
We started the search at night and soon discovered that we could not read the plaques at night, so we returned the next morning. The log is sill a like wet and we dried it as best as we could. TNTC. TFTC.
We took one day of our three for caching and found it. Took a while walking but enjoyed the monuments along the way. We were visiting from Guam.
We certainly enjoyed collecting the information from the first waypoint and we were pretty sure we had corrected calculated the new co-ordinated but we had no luck at GZ. Our search was interrupted a number of times as we waited for muggles to wonder by but then we realize we were being watched by security cameras so we abandoned our search. Oh well we can always try again next time we are in town.
Found it. Sat with the soggy log in the sun for a while. Is mostly dry now.
Not too many muggles, but i'm sure the person at the other end of the nearby security camera must be wondering what's going on?

A lovely little memorial, and a quick simple find. Mini-Roo made the find as we kept a lookout for muggles, but no one was looking our way with many scantily-clad backpackers taking it easy on every available piece of grass. TFTC

Great walk through a interesting park. thanks for showing us this special part of cairns. Cache found easily at GZ. Cache is in need of a bit more camouflage. Dried out cache a bit on a nearby wall but it was still a bit damp when we returned the cache to its hide. TNLNSL
loved the memorials and enjoyed the walk and history lesson in that park but alas could not find the cache. lookingt at the photo in the gallery I am sure I was at the right destination but after looking high and low for 25 minutes I had to concede defeat.
I will check this one from home in SA to see if it was just me.

Nice visit to the park, and funny location for the cache. Hope it will stay here long enough.

Met up with TrishTrish and crew for coffee and decided to check out this multi together in the drizzling rain. Loved the memorials, not seen any depicted in this manner before. Didn't take long to collect the info and we then set off for GZ. Kath had the cache in hand very quickly and we then had to find a spot to sign the log without drenching the log. Enjoyable multi - even in the rain!
Nice walk through the drizzle of Cairns with richlink....thought GZ may take us somewhere else but was not the case....Found easily and signed with trying to keep it as dry as possible....T4TC
This one took us two days to do as the light of day deserted us, really answered the questions by braile I think. SL TFTC.
Cache #7 for today. Amazed that someone would think to put a cache here!! Also amazed to find a largish TB attached in such a public place. We did this at night, and would think this would be very difficult in daylight. Took the Big Bens Bling Bus TB, left nothing.
Not a chance with so many muggles! But I did find what I thought was a Macadamia tree (Qld style), but it certainly ISN'T.
Nice easy find before starting off on some other multi's around Cairns. SL. TFTC.
This find was all down to Mrs whatsamap. I was not sure we were in the right place and had all but given up when she produced the goods.
We really enjoyed looking through the park and admiring the amazing bronze art work.
Thanks for the interesting hunt.

Worked out half of this one before I got to the park but I still enjoyed the location of the first leg and the info available. The cache!!! What can I say other than what I've said so many time before? Don't make this one any harder than it is. How in blazes this cache stays at GZ must be saying something about us humans and rubbish perhaps! Thanks for this one; I really enjoyed it for my 499th cache.
Nice way to visit the park have walked through it many times when visiting Cairns. Bit difficult to read some of the inscriptions when the light gets low
... bugger
must have been following Simon ...
wish I was a bit closer to his tale ... for I came up empty handed here ... but then again it was only a half arsed search ... I still struggle with stealth issues
Enjoyed putting the clues together ... not much of the original park left, since they plonked a bloody great big building on it but the memorials are nice
I'll be back ...

Completed clues and found cache lying out on the grass. The log was full of water and I could only stamp and not sign. I replaced the cache under the nearest tree, where I assume it came from...

A lovely set of small monuments. Interesting memories recorded. Cache was quite easy to find, despite some muggle presence and the nearby survelliance camera. Log is mouldy, but useable. Thanks.
Found this one on the first go. Stopped in the park on an early morning stroll, reading all the plaques made us realise the sacrifice others have made to give us our freedoms. TFTC Lest we forget.
Finally on the 3rd attempt it has now been found, helps if you can count & even better if you write down the right answers.
Log book is a little damp, otherwise the cache is fine.

Very interesting plaques. I got the answers easily, but had a little trouble finding the right "structure" to find the cache. Eventually found it. TFTC. Camnpete of Los Altos, California, USA
OUr final cache in Cairns before heading home I really enjoyed this, some very poignant facts and a sneaky spot at the end that required me to be fairly devious. Thanks for a great cache.
After re-calibrating the GPS and a nice walk around to find the answers, we found the cache quite easily.
At cache location, we found an empty small black bottle and thought that the cache had been raided! However, we found the real cache after a look around. We removed the phony container to avoid others getting confused.
There were muggles playing music nearby so we did a little dance and went on our way. Took nothing, saw nothing, left nothing.

Ahh, thought we might possibly be the FTF, but Yarrum beat us to it..... next time.
Started out as a trip down to see the local festivities by the Lagoon and while we were here we did this cache. Loads of muggles but managed to find and replace undetected.

I really enjoyed finding this cache. I did it at night. I had to use a torch to read the clues, so it felt like real sort of undercover detective type work. I must admit that I have never stopped to read or even notice the plaques before. Thanks for a cache right on the Esplanade Platys Mob. I hope it survives. SL. TNLN. Discovered the microgeocoin and left it for others.
