I passed a few lads from the Guild of Thievessmug as cats, they were, acting like they owned the place. And in a way, they do. Everyone here has their place, their role, their small claim to the city. Even coppers like me.
CaptainVimes and I have crossed the pond to attend the Geo Toroa mega in Dunedin and tour around the South Island for two weeks.Such an unexpected and beautiful place. Enjoyed walking the whole circuit with its variety of vegetation. Thanks Trigger_Fish and happy caching
TFTC & for using bottle made from plantsWhat a beautiful forest! The Schoenberg was made in Scotland
#3968 Today is day 17 of my geocaching vacation in New Zealand. I'm driving from Franz Josef to Wanaka and finding geocaches along the way.Found it after the short walk. Easy one!Trigger_Fish, thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 17, 2024 @ 12:32:03[GC16230] Dune Lake (West Coast) was a D1.5/T2.0 Small Traditional Cache at the time of finding.
We really enjoyed this area, and the little walk to the Dune Lake. Thanks for the cache Trigger Fish.
Caching on a rainy day is not so bad because less Muggels are there. We found the box quickly. Grettings from GermanyAnna&Paul 2012
Merging my accounts. Found this as "Ambers007" on 15/10/2022. Now tracking together with "Hoterini" and merging the old finds.
Travelled from Franz Josef through the Haast Pass today with a number of stops for caches and walks (sometimes a combination of both) along the way. An enjoyable walk, and once at GZ the cache was a quick find. #7213. TFTC.
Gevonden samen met Bald Eagle op onze trip door Nieuw Zeeland op 4 apr. 2024 14:11. Dank je wel Moneydork voor deze cache. Groetjes van mij 1737 uit Eindhoven
We stopped off here on our journey today. The car park was busy but the walking path was very quiet... empty in fact. It made finding the cache easier! Lovely short walk. Tftc
Searched for a while in the wrong area. Found quickly once taken it to the other level. TFTC!
Very nice walk through the dunes. One of the first places, when SiamFee and i cames to the Westcoast. Thanks for this cache. Siamkiwi
Definitely no cache there and as previous log indicates the cache had been removed. I contacted cache owner asking if they would like me to replace the cache but I had no response so I replaced it anyway (hope that is OK). So all ready to go again for next cacher.
Spoke with a local resident who says he didnt know what this was but indeed removed what sounds like the cache as it was broken down and looked like refuse. This cache needs CO attention.
I could not find it anywhere near the step or the platform. I had two other people trying to help me find it. We found parts of a pen and some wet paper, but no cache.
Use a short rain break to search and found it together with Laira007 on our West Coast trip
A quick highway stop to make this the most southern cache found. Although we are heading south and there will be more. Good spot for a walk. The forest around the cache is stunning.
Easy cache on an easy walk. Nice views on the beach and throught the bush. A lot of sandflies.
Found within famous trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
What a wonderful walk, & very gentle for our old legs which we over worked yesterday. A bit of a grey day, but we still enjoyed the beauty of the area. An easy find without a muggle in sight. Thanks for placing this cache.
On our trip through New Zealand we see many beautiful things. We brought our hobby with us and fortunately we can also find many geocaches here. Many thanks to CO for providing this geocache. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Summer Holiday 2024Day #7Time for AlpiSteve and I to head to Queenstown and the weather is terrible here on the West Coast. We missed out on our helicopter ride to the glaciers because of the rain and fog but there is no way I am going to let the weather stop me from my #6000 find and this was a much anticipated cache extremely thankful that the rain had stopped when we arrived and apart from a little coastal wind (and the dreaded mosquitoes) it was a lovely walk to the Lake. Easy find and then time to admire the views and surroundings TFTC Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024
Yay cache number 100 for this account. First bit of west coast beach for the road trip.
After FJ we drove to QT. On the way we had really bad weather. Most of the planned stops we had to cancel. But at least both of the nice walks to the lake and into the swamp we did. I always wonder who is responsible for these perfectly maintained walks all around NZ. People invest in such places where the ground is either even or gets a boardwalk if not. The box was an easy find.I would recommend to all by-passers to take a minute or more to walk away the fatigue in this nice place.Thx for hiding.
Awesome spot for a spot and to hide a cacheThanks to the favs we stopped here and not somewhere on the way. So i award it with another to help more tourists to find this placeThanks
**#17715** When traveling down the West Coast we interrupted our journey to visit the **Dune Lake (West Coast)**I really enjoyed the boardwalk with fantastic views of the lake, the dunes and the oceanThank you Trigger_Fish for sharing this beautiful place and for the contribution to the game by the placement and care of the cache. TFTC Greetings from tante resi from Switzerland
We made a stop at the beach. I saw there was a cache nearby. I walked and enjoyed the surrounding. Thanks for showing.
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.A beautiful place, unfortunately the weather wasn't great. If you take the right path, you will quickly reach your destination. We came from the other side and therefore looked in the wrong place at first..??. But in the end we were able to find the box..??. I informed the cache owner that the logbook was full and wet.Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from Switzerland????PS: Translated with the Deepl app??
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. This was a lovely early morning walk to the cache and back. Found the container without any muggles around and soon our ink was on the log. Never spotted any penguins but did view 3 Tui in the forest. Awarding a blue ribbon to this hide. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
I finally made the time to stop here and do the walk to the cache. Great little track too. Completed the loop and then off again. The carpark was quite full so I was surprised not to meet anyone along the path. TFTC # 20,664

Logged during our travel day from Wannaka to Franz Josef. A very nice and short walk from the parking lot. The log is very wet so some maintenance would be good. Thanks for the cache!
What a nice trail for a short break. Even saw dolphins out in the sea. Thanks for taking us here and tftc!

Just a little walk but quick find then. Log is a bit wet and Container should be replaced. TFTC
The last one on the west coast of New Zealand. Nice this cache brought us to this beautiful place.TFTC,bahaMAfive
Nice to find an old moneydork cache in New Zealand. Still in good condition although the contents are a little damp... Location is magic love the West coast especially in whitebait season.Fav point for giving us a good excuse to stop and enjoy the rainforest walk and the location.
26-days-holiday to Singapore, New Zealand & AustraliaDay 10: Franz-Josef HaastNormally, the days goal would have been Queenstown. But the rain from the previous days had caused a slip near Makaroa with Haast pass ending up being closed. Thus, we stayed in Haast with hopes that the pass would be reopened the following day.The travelling agency tried to delay descisions and send the whole group on a more or less short walk here. The area at the beach was nice to look at (despite the cloudy day with even rain towards the end). Nevertheless while the rest of the group went back towards the car park, I of course went the additional distance to this cache. Due to the weather, no other muggles were around and in the end it was a quick find for me here.TFTC
This is my fav part of NZ. Thanks for placing a cache here. Great story about the name aswell. Greetings from Ireland.
Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!
