A fun day caching with the dream team. This cache was a straightforward find at GZ.Thanks, CoomaClan!
The team headed south by car for a few target caches as the weather was too lousy for a long hike and/or mountain cycle.A beautiful replicated station from a bygone era. Thanks for brining us here CoomaClan. TFTC.
A nice little park and grab on the way through to Cooma. Always really cool to see these old little railway stations. Thanks for the continued maintenance CoomaClan!
1/4/2024 Find #6956Day four in Canberra for KBreeAHH, Captain Terror and I. Today was our second biggest day of caching, not having really pushed it too hard this trip. We were heading north and I was checking out the caching map in the back of the car, when this one popped out at me. Well with a name like that and the promise of an old station, it deserved the small detour to check it out. So around we headed with some doubting Thomases in the front unsure my directions were actually right and that we werent heading down someones private property. Then the station came in to view and they realised I and my iPhone knew what we were talking about. A great little old train station. The cache was easily spotted, but retrieval had to be done cautiously due to the nasty prickly plant growing right by it. Thanks for the cache CoomaClan.
Found while on our way to a 4wd event in Cooma with @smithiesoutback and @nugbus

Day #1 [14-2] of 5 for my trip away. Today, I headed down to my overnight pit stop in Cooma before heading into Merimbula tomorrow. Yes of course, I am going to Geocache the whole way there and back apart from visiting the beach. The caches I found today were mostly quick and easy finds with a couple of DNF’s or NA’s due to factors like: road quality, unable to find them or I was starting to run out of time to get to Cooma. The focus for the finds were caches that fitted into one (or more) of the following categories: For a self-imposed challenge, historic cache (pre-2010), a quick park and grab along the way or part of the Kelly Road Powertrail. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to finish this trail due to the road conditions but I did manage the start couple plus the last one of it. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC’s
P.S. Sorry, about the generic logs. I will endeavour to edit them at some point in the future for the extended story. This is when I have more time on my hands.

Once again, absolutely amazing location!
6 FP's and almost 350 finds? Ya gotta be pulling my leg! Such a shame
FAVOURITE from me! Just fantastic, what a great sized container too!
Thanks again for highlighting this spot CoomaClan

**Day 1:**
The first day of a 3 day weekend travelling from Canberra - Bega Valley Shire to attempt the "VB" cache series & many other fantastic hides!
Myself and sebass19 left Canberra bright and early, and made our way leisurely down to the coast! Lots of great caches both on the way & at the destination before we called it a night to prepare for the big day of VB caches to come!

Thanks. Great weather today and a lovely little stop on our mountain biking trip.
Yes there’s a neighbouring house with cars out the front so I went looking for the cache while casually eating an apple turnover. It was very windy so I got cream in my hair now. TFTC.
Pulled in here hoping for an opportunity to look, but with the neighbours being so close and several cars out front It did not seem likely. Sure enough, as I arrived at GZ, Old mate muggle came out to see what was going on.
Decided not to stop

What an awesome spot. A very quaint little station that you would otherwise miss on the drive from Cooma to Canberra. Had to do some sewage maintenance before we could log the cache. TFTC
Day out to Cooma for a drive to catch up on getting some cache, what a great hide log and placed back where it belong TFTC CoomaClan
Super cool old station! Cache obvious!
So I see a CITO published for the top of Kozi....Aquilus1 have been wanting to come down here for ages to collect the Kozi caches (I already have them) but also get the 2000!
But, Aquilus1 rolls her ankle, very badly.... so it looks like the whole thing may be off, but, I hadn't accounted for the stubborn streak..."we ARE going, the ankle will be FINE".
So, off we go collecting some targeted caches along the way, we teamed up with another team in the beginning before going our separate ways.
Some interesting Cooma caches, followed by a NUTS drive out to The Gates, and cleaning out Buckanderra on the way down to Jindy. After checking in and meeting Tankengine & dty73, we grabbed a few more caches including a multi I started very, very long ago before ending up at the event.
Great burger, great bubbles... thanks all CO's

This is a great spot and a cool old station. Joined by cosmonaut97 then on our way.
Trip log:
We had a plan, and it was to go to Kosciusko for an oldie and some high altitude caches, it was also to be my first visit, so I was keen. When GreyHams noticed an event was published up there this weekend the decision was made and after a lot of discussion over previous years the time had finally come to tick this one off...
Or so it should have been but my sprained ankle several days before we were to go, it was touch and go and I wasn't sure I could make the distance, but only one way to find out, with some contingency plans should they be needed.
With GreyHams it was an early start, and of course there were other Canberra cachers heading south for the weekend also, so we teamed up for a number in the morning with the newly formed 'Jindy Crew'. After a spot of Cooma caching it was out to 'The Gates' on Lake Eucumbene, a trek but a great way to pass the hot day in the cars aircon, and then the 'track' out to the cache, challenging and equally as amusing, it was a great drive in! A little caching around Buckenderra was nice scenery before meeting up with dty73 and Tankengine in Jindabyne for some more caching an event and a relaxed yummy dinner with our Canberra caching friends for the evening.
Arriving at Charlottes Pass early in the morning is the thing to do, and with so many others already there it was a busy carpark, needing to park about 1km down the road! After our warm up walk and lashings of sunscreen we started off, slow and steady and hoping the foot would make the distance. And it did! The prep was sound, the poles were my lifeline step after step and finally I got to attempt the summit.
Such a great walk, so much to see, yes, it looks all bare and rocky but its beautiful and the slow pace we set we saw all of it! So great with many other cachers up there to spend time with them too, and we spent much time walking along with them over the distance, so much conversation had the time pass quickly and enjoyably. Many thanks to GreyHams, it wasn't the main range loop walk we had planned but he got me to the summit and back! As broken as I was with that last limp to the car we still had the enthusiasm to plan the next trip.
Many thanks to the CO's for your caches, we only stopped at a few for various qualities but your cache led to a very enjoyable trip.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I notice from one or more log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of some help - **there appears to be a need for owner intervention.**
Therefore, the cache is being temporarily disabling so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) I cannot see any log that indicates a recent visit by the CO to this cache.
If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by **9th September,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (by 9th September). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) the cache on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Today we are on a mission to find a wind mill for our tasmainia trip in september till we come back and along the way we decided to grab a couple of cache and on happened to be almost next to our searching location.
Thanks CoomaClan for this wonderful and unique location however you container needs some attention the lid although screed onto the top the whole top part of the container has decided to no longer be attached to the bulk of the container unfortunalty I did not have a suitable replacement with me.
Grand Cache count = 1092 total consisting of 1011 Traditionals, 27 Multi, 17 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 10 Event (With 1 Megga and 2 CITO), 3 Werigo, 5 Letterbox and 10 Lab Caches.

Found with GrimRaider on the way home from Jindabyne. I was expecting a big station - haha - lovely old tracks here. The cache container lid has come separated but the contents were dry and I put lid back in place, braced with a rock. TFTC
With not many places this could be, my first instinct was to look in the wrong place but what would make a great hide. After ruling it out, it was then spotted in the next most likely place. Nice to look at some of these old stations. TFTC.
After returning from travel a week ago I find my feet still itchy, so here I am driving, caching.
It's amazing how these little stations pop up out of nowhere. I guess in the past there must have been a thriving community out here. Will have to Google it's history.
Cache was found quickly. The log is in good condition but container needs replacing as is broken.

Anther cache along the way to Morissett for the OZ GEOmuster. This cache is very loved... Couldn't believe how many have signed it. Well worth the slight detour of the highway to get it. Last cacher right, the container lid is broken and needs to be replaced
Found it out in the open. Contents still good but container disintegrating.
Always wondered why we don’t recycle the tracks and sleepers from these old railways. They would be worth a fortune. Even just as fire wood.

I spent the weekend camping at Mimosa Rocks National Park and sought out geocaches on the way down and the way back to Canberra. As I got out of my car, a man at the door commented that I would be waiting a long time for a train; he entered the house and I commenced my search. This cache took a bit longer than I expected as there were a lot of potential hiding spaces within a few metres of the coordinates. Thank you CoomaClan for installing and maintaining this cache.
On the way to Canberra we stopped at Bunyan to view the station and I took the opportunity to grab the cache.
Thanks again CoomaClan.

Today we have to drive from Jindabyne to Canberra because we want to validate the Region of Australian Capital Territory.
During our road trip we made some stop to validate some caches.
It was a very sunny day !

This cache on our way was funny for us because when we arrived, we thank the path was private so we arrived by foot by the railway.
After finding the box we understood it was not ! And we returned to our car by the path
This abandoned railway station is a good spot !
Thank you CoomaClan for the cache and greetings from France.
