I think this one is MIA. Was there with a previous finder today and there was no sign of the cache or its former hiding hole.
Just read where someone has rewritten the "new" co-ords.
Where we ended up was over the PCrk side of hill with 2 fallen trees about 5 metres from the cage.
Oh well will try again next trip.

We were on the right spot.
Some trees were fallen and the ground seemed
if somebody had dug into it.
Alas for this DNF but thanks for the beautiful view.

While on holiday from NZ we stopped overnight at Pine Creek and enjoyed the walk to this cache. The final view was indeed a surprise, and worth the walk, thanks.
Found at 1.15pm GAFF1. No caravans! So we walked up and at GZ found a scene of destruction. We presume the tree was standing up when the cache was placed originally. However on inspection we found the cache still in its hidey hole.
Would not have expected to see such a large body of water just over the hill!
Thanks CHEDENT.

Thanks CHEDENT.
We discovered this cache by accident, as we found it laying on the ground. We put it back at GZ. Thanks heaps...
Nice quick find on our way to Darwin. Wow, who would have thought a lake was here. Thanks Chedent....Silky Seekers Brisbane.
Looked hard but could not spot this little one, cameback to camp and looked up co ords had them right. You beat me CHEDENT Thanks for the nice walk and great veiw.
Nice clever hide took quite some chasing down but I getting used to CHEDENT'S inventive caches.
After coffee at Maisy's we headed up the hill to grab this cache .... nice walk on a beautiful dry season day. ..... Views are well worth the walk up There .... Enjoying our road trip from Wagait to KNX and geocaching along the way T4TC
Had a reasonable hunt for this, but in the end we got muggled out by a lady doing exercise loops up and down the hill. Cheers Gav
As we were towing took the "short cut" - puff, puff!! A deceptively clever hide but despite the new coords. still found them a bit out. Interesting to read about the mine. TFTC.
Lovely view, good hide easy to see if you are looking in the right place. Second for the day.
Well, we found it after HarmonyNT spotted it first. HarmonyNT first day of caching and already a pro. Must have had a good teacher. Nice spot to come the Lake is really pretty and the old mines are very interesting. TNLN. TFTC.
Find number 5 for the day, and find number 281 on the twentythird day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1600hrs Qld time.
Pretty tricky, but please, can the owner update the coordinates. Went to the old ones, and nothing, in fact the whole place has been burnt out. Not looking goood. Then, checking the logs, I see the new ones, plug them in, and go right to it.
Cheers

Second attempt at this one. After reading the logs and making adjustments to co-ords we found this pretty easily. Very clever! You will need to take your own pen/pencil as there is none in the cache.

After searching our GZ with no luck I read the previous logs. One mentioned a fallen tree and after walking up to said tree and the new coordinates given we found it straight away. Thanks guys
Impressive use of camo for this cache. The coordinates were spot on which helped no end. TFTC another well constructed hide CHEDENT. [764]
Lovely view and an impressive lake. We couldn't find the cache till we used the coords mentioned in the previous log. Nicely hidden. Thanks CHEDENT
This one eluded us first and second time round, but with a little hint from Gypsy JJ it wasn't so hard... GZ is certainly not the published co-ords... I had it at: S13 49.623 E 131 49.941, about 11 metres away. Is this because the tree has fallen over?
It is a lovely spot...
It is a lovely spot...
great spot, but alas no cache after searching and searching, very limited hiding spots but perhaps gone or I was in the wrong location, anyway thanks
searched and searched, muggles left shortly after we got here so we were able to be thorough. No find today.
This was going to be easy... but a vehicle arrived a few minutes after we did, disgorged a carton of full green cans and one of Bundy and Coke, left an indigenous guardian and returned ten minutes later with a few more companions. Obviously settling in for a prolonged stay - at mid-day!
Decided to return after lunch. Foiled again. Followed up the track by a Wicked, and a few minutes later by a 4 WD. Gave up in disgust and moved on. At least the earlier party was over!
Managed a bit of a poke around, but no luck in what was - obviously - a not obvious spot!
Great view. Thanks.

Went to this lookout the day before and did not realise this was a cache site. Went back today but sadly could not find it
very clever hide, and a great unexpected view from the top
I dried the inside of the container and replaced the snaplock bag, the log is dry.

What a fantastic spot. Been up here for 3 years and didn't know it was here. This was a tricky hide but persistance pays off. TFTC. TN - LN.
The GPS put me about 6m away from this one however, with a little persistence, the cache was revealed. A tidy little hide this one and the crazed finish on the containers lid makes it fit in all the better... [^]
This is one of those caches that was a pleasure to hunt as it took me to somewhere that I would never have found otherwise. I have travelled between Katherine and Darwin many times and stopped in this town on a number of occasions. I even have a whistle made from a railway sleeper peg, that I bought from Pine Creek... GZ shows off a large water hole that is not visible from the main road... Also a couple of shafts that you probably don't want to drop your glasses into...
Thanks for dragging me up here CHEDENT and thanks for a clever cache...

After looking around for minutes and minutes all the place, Jana stood in the right spot and detected it. Really good hiding place. Once seen, it’s no problem to find it again.

Tried to find this once before but no luck..not this time! While we were signing log Buddy the fat jack russell nearly slid into one of the holes!! We beat a hasty retreat to safer ground. TFTH
Two of us looking could not find it before muggles arrived cutting the search short.
Wonderful lake. Found it together with "local" hunters from Canbera )) Local for us. Nice talk to them, our first geomates we've met at GZ in AU. Thanks guys. MaJa
Found on a trip to Central Australia and the Top End/Gulf. Looking on the ground and then looked up. Not obvious, but easy to see if looking in the right place.
Found by mrs NTBBBB during a three day caching trip with the entire NTBBBB tribe. Dropped of my BBBB TB before grabbing it back again.

I think this one might be mugggled. There was a neat little hidy hole, but nothing there.
Found another film canister complete with Fuses written on the lid and also replaced the log while we were at it. Interesting spot for a cache.
Thanks CHEDENT
Thanks CHEDENT
After walking up from the local campsite, we found where we thought the cache should have been, but the contents of the cache was strewn all about the place. It may need a bit of TLC after we placed it back (using a zip-lock bag) where we thought it should be. Thanks CHEDENT.
Took us a while to find it because our GPS showed differently! Anyway when we were about to give up, Mr Bushies2 saw a huge spider in the hole then could see the cache below! Bit creepy to try to get the cache out, keeping an eye on that huge spider!! Thanks CHEDENT for the hide.
Found this one missing the cap to the film canister - did what we could to weatherproof it with what we had. A cap off of a powerade bottle is currently the lid LOL

Arrived here at dusk and a mad dash to the cache in torrential rain. Cache soaked, logbook like soap. Didn't sign it, concealed and left. Will post photos soon.
Nice lookout from up here, but had to look quite a while for the cache. It's missing the lid.

Arrived in the area, but couldn't find it after about 20 minutes.
Headed off for teh other one in town and then came back for another look. And of course this time, I managed to go straight to it. Really glad to have found it.
Great location and a great view of the lake.

With lots of finds behind me, I thought I would be able to get this one, after I waited out TWO lots of muggles! Looked for quite a while, and even came back again today on my way back to Darwin with three CHEDENT finds under my belt. I thought I now knew where else to look. More muggles, had a good look, then ran out of time. Interesting spot though, thanks CHEDENT.
after finding a couple of chedents, I knew it would be sneaky and it was but found after a little searching. Didn't even know Pine Creek had a lookout so thanks Chedent.

Sadly a DNF for us. We will have to come back another time when there isn't so many muggles

Although the previous two logs were DNF's we came to have a look at the area anyway, which was well worth the short detour. After taking the mandatory photos we had a quick search around the obvious locations at gz but were not surprised to come up empty handed. After a chat to the owner at the pre event get together we were assured it was there and were given a very good hint. On our way home today we stopped by and sure enough it was there we just did not look hard enough.
Thanks CHEDENT for bringing us to this great location.

Second attempt on this one and widened my search 10 metres this time. Took 10 minutes but found this tricky little sucker eventually. TFTC CHEDENT
I decided to take the hill walk and left Ian turning the caravan around as I had driven it into the road before seeing the no caravan sign. Needed the exercise anyway and a fantastic view to a lake I would otherwise have not seen.
After and extensive hunt I fail to find the cache - I shall take a look through the logs to see if I can tell where it may have been.
Thanks for the challenge.

Only my 2nd DNF on my Katherine region Cache safari. Found the perfect spot close to ground zero but it wasn't in there. Widened my search by about 8 metres radius but still no go. Must be a VERY clever hide indeed. TFTH
A welome break in the drive home from Katherine . Gold lake always looks so inviting [^]. This type of cache seems to be growing quite popular . Another bold hide and my last CHEDENT hide for the day. Thanks CHEDENT for all the brilliant hides in the Katherine area - it was well worth the trip
On our holidays, partly travelling in a Britz campervan through the upper half of the Northern Territory, we tried to log as many of the caches on the way. With the use of a PDA with iGo and the caches loaded as POIs, driving to the cache locations has become quite easy. In total, we visited 61 cache sites and of all these sites, we found 41 caches. Certainly not a perfect score, but we usually enjoyed the location the owner of the cache has chosen. Geocaching brought us to the usual popular tourist locations, but also on some places that we would have otherwise never stopped or driven through.
This log-entry is the twentieth cache on our tour.
We enjoyed an early lunch from the platform over viewing the lake, but we had no luck finding the cache. It’s a micro size according to the entry, but in such a secluded place it might be better to place a bit bigger cache? Certainly would have helped us finding it…
