Logs
After the recent log I thought I should check out the area. Boy! The triffids are taking over the world. I'm sure the cache is in there somewhere but need a heavy duty brushcutter and a flame thrower to get in there to search for it. I have scoped out another hiding spot which the triffids haven't invaded yet so I will have to return with another cache soon.
We looked for this one - found the picnic table and vines, however I suspect they have had a growth spurt with all the rain and have kinda taken over. We will go back and try again - anyone have any hints? We did look at the base of a tree?
What a lovely wet day to go geocaching on Australia day. My dad spotted the hidey hole and I collected the cache. TFTC
Dropped travel bug.

A great spot for a cache! A shame this spot hasn't been maintained! Thanks for the cache!
I had no idea this old picnic table was here. Cache was quickly in hand as the hole in the vines can be seen from the road. TFTC
Nice and quiet here on a Sunday morning.
After a little searching I found the cache tucked away.
Thanks for the cache

Tricky find at night, almost got muggled. Took the green trumpet left an orange monkey. Tftc
I parked the car on the bit of road that nature is taking back and discovered another abandoned area through geocaching. The picnic table has seen better days but it did the job for a place to sign the log. TFTC
Find #1299 - another one for today. Found on 15/09/12 6:05 PM
With Lost_Gecko and Squirrel_Joe. Many Hands and eyes make light work. Not the best place for lunch. TFTC TNSLLN

@ 1806 with squirrel_Joe and redbackspider. Second attempt brought in extra help of redbackspider. Found quickly. A little annoyed but happy to find. Tnlnsl
Went back to check for Geocoin. Picked up a path tag though thinking it was a geocoin.
I wonder how long it has been for the vegitation to reclam this picnic spot. Can't say we were tempted to stay for lunch.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
# 977. This may have been a nice little picnic spot when the cache was placed, back in 2007 but it certainly wouldn't entice me to have a picnic there these days. A very overgrown area and the table has certainly seen better days. Managed to get myself a find here while the fellows were looking elsewhere. Took: Ostrich, Left: Pathtag. TFTC
Just a forlorn picnic table that was slowly being gobbled up by rampant vegetation. I guess it gets no use at all these days.
Thanks Crew 153

A nice easy find, I don't think any body but geocachers have visited this spot recently.

Finally one that TuisReturn was actually able to find without my help!! haha. SL TFTC
When I drove past last week, the neighbor across the road was sitting on the deck. It is all clear today.
Left GC.

Up North for a few hours and had an hour to spare so I couldn't just sit around could I?
This one was nice and close so once I found the best way in which was no mean feat I walked the short distance to GZ.
Thanks for the clue but which vine?
I searched around a bit then cacher brain kicked in, I adjusted search pattern and bingo, cache in hand.
Thanks Crew 153 for the amusing clue and a nice hide TFTC SL TNLN

Out and about with Brightskies and the munchkins, for a bit of outdoors fun on the "other" side of Brisbane. Found without a problem.

Nyssaflutterby joined me today in the unfamiliar lands of the southside to get a few caches and enjoy the outdoors. We had both mini flutterby munchkin and mini brightskies nephew, two geobabies with enough patience to endure endless getting in and out of the car and being carried around. Nyssa found the cache first and then i headed off into GZ to locate it. Found safe n sound. We took it back to the monster truck to sign the logbook and Nyssa ran it back, then we headed to sushi train, because we had worked up cacher appetites. Thanks again Crew 153.
MiniMeerkat and I stopped in for this one after picking up some Chinese Green Tea from Yuens in Sunnybank.
It was not a quick find. The Iphone's accuracy was hopeless when faced with this expanse of shrubbery. We looked and looked. I promised MiniMeerkat that we would go home about 3 times, I reckon. Then, after giving up I spotted the hide. Turns out there was not much digging in the morass of vegetation required! The hide could be spotted from out in the open.
There is definitely no geocoin in the cache. I will tag it as missing for the benefit of the owner.
Thanks for another great adventure Crew 153!

Couldn't see a geocoin. Didn't know to look until after. Maybe I overlooked.
Nice little location if you take the back street.
Near the gumtree which is good as it could be difficult to find.

Took a bit of searching through the many, many vines but found it near a gum tree.
Missed logging this one... found whilst out with Gambler2000 & Net88 - what an interesting little picnic spot it is

This was a nice area for a cache and a very private picnic. I found the likely spot and sent gambler 2000 into the area to retrieve it. Cache was well and dry. Thanks for the cache
First of five caches done today. Parked a few hundred metres away from GZ and continued the rest on foot. I had my father and Geodog with me today, though they stayed near the street for this cache. Upon arriving GZ, I noticed the abundance of fauna including many vines. How on earth will I search all this? Fortunately, the first lot of vines I checked under contained the cache. I reached in and took the cache to the picnic table to sign the logbook.
Left a Geocoin, took nothing.

Quick find, as coordinates were spot on. Cache in good shape. XN, SL, tftc, #766.
Tricky Hide. Found a lovely broken TV antenna which will be useful for Ham Radio experimentation. TFTC!!!
Not quiet sure why I had not done this one yet - but I decided to right it today. I parked up and followed the GPSr straight to GZ. The cache is in good condition. A nice little area. TFTC Crew 153
This was a ninja caching experience, having to slip out of a boys athletics carnival at ANZ during a break. Made my way speedily down Kessels Rd and then cut through the bowling alley to arrive at... Not exactly the prettiest picnic spot I've ever seen!
Knowing the Crew style of hiding caches where muggles can't see you narrowed the GZ down a little but it was still a daunting task. Fortunately the dark box popped up nice and quickly and I could retrace my steps. All good within: TFTC as always.

Great hiding spot! Took about 10 min to find. Thanks for the aditional clue.
Another night search which almost looked impossible...but after a poke around...beast was soon in hand

The cache was one of 107 finds during a three day visit to Brisbane from Melbourne where it was work during the day and caching during the night.
I arrived at GZ with the torch in hand and thought this was going to be interesting, so much undergrowth. I then spent the next 15 minutes poking and perring through the vines, and the GPS moving around didn't help too much either. Finally the little bugger was found and log signed.
Happy to be on my way. Cheers.

We had previously looked for this one so it was great to see a replacement cache there. I still had some work to do though. My device had me looking about 10m away.
I checked on the cache today. The garden has grown wild lately and the cache is probably in there somewhere.
I have placed another cache where it can be found easily.
It will be interesting if the other container turns up when the vegetation dies off.

We thought we'd give it a go but when we arrived, we thought no way we would search it with a few DNFs so we left.

No luck today as the area was extremely over grown. Their is a clear geo-trail, but we couldn't find it

Went for a nice walk and found alot of interesting things. My search took a short time after being in the wrong spot, but found it soon after! =) Thanks for the cache!
Decided to have another go at finding this one on the way home from work, this time it was a nice easy follow the geo-trail job. Turns out I hadn't explored far enough last time...
Wow this place could do with a good mowing!

Found at 0859 with Marg. Took some finding because it appears the the vine have grown a bit.. Cache OK and dry. TFTC.
Found this one quite quickly in the wet undergrowth. Amazing how dense the forest is, right next to the highway. TFTC
In the area for a work conference and only had time to attempt the one cache.
Tried for almost an hour to locate this one... just... wasn't.. going.. to.. give.. up.. but had to as the hungry monster was starting to set in.
I found looking for this one is similar to looking for a needle in a haystack.
I think the neighbours have neglected this spot, it just doesn't look loved and inviting for a picnic.
Thanks anyways Crew 153 for this cache.

After searching for some time with Krossbo, we were about to leave when, after reading back through some past logs, I said geopartner, how about you look under that vine? And BINGO!!! The elusive little fella was in our hands. TFTC!!
Well this one was pretty tricky almost gave up but eventually found it with muddtrax took tb and left $50 key ring TFTC SL
Had a look this arvo for as long as I dared, found an interestingly modified oj bottle at gz but no cache today (even using the phone a friend lifeline).
Will come back one day with the RML to aid in the search!
Don't think this place sees too many visitors somehow!

A quick find on my way back to the Dark Side of Brisbane
I found a convenient place to park, and hoped I would not have to answer to the postal service . The cache was found after tackling some plant species. ALl is good with the cache.
Hmm, it is an interesting spot, might be nice for a cacher event
Thanks

first find today with Aussie Liahona as we zipped around the suburbs
I see where this one gets its name - but not a very inviting picnic spot today - too overgrown with grass and weeds
We spent a lot of time lifting singapore daisies until we found it closer to the edge of the spreading vines
so not a difficult find really
I was sure it was safe there so left my new trackable "Gosh I'm Beautiful" to encourage nude geocaching
Nice to get some Crew153 caches since meeting at the Big Event last month

We were in the area so we had a crack at getting the cache. A quick find. The cache is in good condition, shame the same can't be said for the rest of the area. No swaps done. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache Crew 153.
Happened to be in the area so naturally had to have a crack at this one. A quick find in a sadly run down piece of suburbia. The cache is in good condition, shame the same can't be said for the rest of the area No swaps but dropped off India Diabetes TB. Thanks for the cache Crew 153.
Found it after a decent search in the wrong spot - GPS was spot on (but we were way off). Bit of a seedy place, found a few bongs and (according to my gf) a "druggie love nest". Took shell, left dinosaur. Thanks!
My second geocache and i nearly gave up! It was in an easier location that we thought. Be brave!
That one was an easy find today.
Thanks for showing that place!
Thanks for the cache. TNLN.

Found by Mary & David at 1130. This spot is well past its best and looking rather tired. Nice trees though, and an interesting pale-coloured bird. Managed to spot the container through a small gap in the vines. Our thanks to Crew 153.
Parked in behing club and walked through over growen scrub. An area the could do with a CITO.
JABs.

Very well hidden! The vines seem to be on a mission to take over this part of Brisbane today!! Note from maddysyeon confirmed we were in the right spot so we just kept poking. Left it slightly more exposed but I don't imagine that it will take long for mother nature to do the rest. TFTC Crew 153
Couldn't find this one - spent about 20 minutes looking high and low with no joy.
Took a while. But finally Maddy found it. Be patient. Be alert. Open your eye and look out for spider.
Very private. GPS had me about 3m away although it could be I was getting impatient. Got there in the end when I said to myself, "It should be right there" and it was.

You little bugger. you had me searching three times for half an hour each and you turned out to be right there in plain view.
NOTE: Cache is 5m WEST of GZ because the tree it was hiding under has fallen down and died sometime in the last decade
Took cinderella, left bandaids.
The builders in the building with the rollerdoor watched me intently throughout the whole process, finally i went over and explained geocaching to them and that i wasnt an arsonist looking to set fire to the scrub.
spent so long looking for this cache im probably not going to be able to go find the Mt gravatt cave before sundown.

Great little spot Took the travel Ingot Geocoin and left some lucky chinese coins. Strange place for a picnic table.
No luck, i walked from What a Bomb and found the table and chairs but had no luck with the cache. might try again later.
