This morning I climbed Mt Eerwah with a group of geocachers to celebrate JD's birthday and 1000th cache find. After the walk, Kolour, Davidwazza, smallwombat and I drove south towards Nambour, picking up a number of caches along the way. After a great hike in the morning and a big afternoon packed full of caches, it was time for us to all head home. First stop was to drop smallwombat back to Forest Glen and pick up some food. While we were here I went for a little wander and quickly found this cache. Thanks for hiding this one here Konie!
On our way to Brisbane, we made a quick stop here. Thanks for hiding.Kind regards.schuhlstroo
Tftc. Visiting from Norway. Logging caches on our trip up/down the coast. Logged with sunlord06
Heading out for the day for an early birthday lunch with the family. Couldn't pass up the chance to grab some more Noosa caches. Ended up doing the lab cache - a lovely walk along the beach. Saw some dolphins, but no koalas. Lotsand lots of tourists though. Thanks to the cache owners for the upkeep of these caches in such a stunning place. On our way back home at night stopped here for a quick break. Located the cache easy enough even in the dark. However disturbed a phenomenally large ant nest that had taken up residence inside the cache. Emptied it as best I could by phone light. Signed the log and replaced. All in good condition. tFTC.
I was up in Nambour at a badminton team competition today (our team came second), so how about a few caches on the way home as it was still light? The cache is in a quiet area although a couple walking their dog kept their eye on me. It was a nice quick find.Thanks!!#3558
Today Willis007 and I came up to Buderim for an event and found a few caches afterwards.
Willis007 had previously found this one but I was still needing one more Fuel Nearby attribute for a challenge, and it was close to our last found cache. All good here. Tftc

Nice one. It's nice to find one of these after trying to solve some difficult mystery cache today. Thanks, CO for keeping this on site for so many years. The find must help with a Challenge requirement somewhere.
Circled around a bit to get 0m then made a quick find. Thanks for the cache Konie
Catching up on my logging this afternoon (I’ve only got 30 in my log backlog). The new highway is so much nicer (and quicker) since the roadworks have been finished.
I’m surprised that this cache is still active, hiding in plain sight as it is, which is a tribute to the CO’s maintenance. I assume that it’s been moved and/or replaced a time or two since it’s original placement.
Nice to sign an oldie by an oldie. Thanks Konie for the cache

I had already gone beyond my planned time to be home (a usual thing given the geocaching earlier in the day), but I did notice that this oldie geocache was a quick stop/detour whilst heading home. So after parking beside GZ, I made the quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Konie](https://coord.info/PR1NM36) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 09/2007 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.

Today, following my usual Saturday morning activities of parkrun and baby Cottontail gym, I ventured north with the kayak loaded in order to attend the Maroochy River CITO event. I skirted around Nambour initially to grab a couple of geocaches, before proceeding to Dunethin Rock Boat Ramp, and then I kayaked along the Maroochy River joining other CITO event attendees, finishing up at Vee Road. We car shuffled a small group, and then I finished up the day along Yandina - Bli Bli Road and detouring through Forest Glen.

Nice and easy. Another one to tick off the list. TFTC
For those travelling… pop into Kunara (amazing coffee / cafe/ organically) around to corner of slip road LHS before zooming back into the highway.

Quick find. Geowife had a surprise as when opening it was greeted by an army of ants. Log in good condition. Recorded and put back.

Have motorhome in for its service so thought to fill in time would see if any caches handy …woo hoo there’s two. Grabbed the first no worries then on to this one. Gotcha TFTC
Had to deliver a parcel to the storage units behind the BP, so pick up a rock here.
Continuing our drive north, we stopped here, not for petrol, as it is not one of the cheaper ones.
But we did get an ice cream!
A quick find as we had that part of the parking lot to ourselves.
Thanks Konie

Konie I found your cache Forest Glen BP - Southbound on 26/6/2022, 11:55 am. This is my find 3603 and find # 2 today. Found it eventually after a long search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
I was up on the Sunshine Coast chasing oldies. Some by 4wd, some just park and grab. I had a good out.
6 where found today, most were easy. Then quick drive home.

Out for Wednesday womble with 1Minniemoo. With no real plan in mind we just decided to collect some older caches.
We were concerned on arriving here that the cache might be missing due to some work in the area but it's safe and sound.

18/8/21 Find #4948
Wacky Wednesday with wombles and co, and we only had a half thought out plan for the day. The main goal was to chase one or two older caches with a couple of other caches thrown in along the way for good measure.
We had unfortunately had to miss out on a couple on our list today - one due to rain pouring on down and another due to roadworks in our way. So as our day was winding to an end and we were on the return journey, we pulled in here and quickly became concerned that we would have yet another old cache unattainable with all the fencing up and works going on here.
We doubtfully made our way over to begin our search and checked out when the last found log was, and pleased with its recentness, managed to happily find the cache soon after.
Thanks for the cache Konie.

Mrs Woodyrothwell and I had spent a night away from the kids in Diddillibah and were making our way home. Thank god this was our last find because I like to log after a few beers and I have been fighting the autocorrect all night on that place name.
We were a bit worried when we arrived because there was all sort of construction fencing in every direction. Directions are important, especially when you tell your partner whether you pack your junk to the left or right. I was a bit miffed that such details aren’t immediately visible.
My wife came up with the find and we just hoped that the service station attendant hadn’t seen us expecting customers to come in. Surely from their vantage point they know which way I tuck. tftc

On our way home from a great week caching in and around beautiful Maryborough.
Met up with E_Smiley to pick up some oysters we had ordered and she suggested we should look for this one. The cache was actually situated beside someone who was parked at GZ so they got a quick lesson about geocaching so we could sign the log and move on.
Thanks CO.

Snickerallan and I met at the other BP truckstop to pick up our pre ordered 5 kg fresh unschucked Coffin Bay oysters which was the yummiest oysters we've had for ages!
With her traveling back to the Gold Coast, we quickly detoured to find this one. A muggle was parked nearby so a quick introduction to our hobby was made.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Konie. Snickerallan's geosense was on point on this one, while mine is ... still away with the fairies.

Ok I found it. I got a bit scratched up. I was in a hurry to retrieve it before I looked too suspicious. Beautiful little Roosters are wandering around here free ranging. Lol

Heading North to collect the kiddos for the weekend, slowly working my way through the four thousand caches between home and Cooroy - long way to go, putting pocket queries to good use and creating routes.
Only a few caches today, they're getting further off the highway which in turn is making them longer detours but it's all worth it. I have been here before but the combination of the cheeky chickens hiding in the trees and muggles around, made it very hard.
Returned for a second time, chickens were still there (they're brave, certainly not worried by me) but alas the muggles were not and it wasn't long before the cache was in hand. So much rubbish unfortunately, we as humans really do wreck places just out of pure laziness, but that's another argument.
Thanks for the cache Konie

Last find for the day when smallwombat and I were out for a 40k ride. Up and down hills, in and out cyclepaths. Glad the virus is around to keep the car park empty for a quick and easy grab. Tftc
Rolling up here on the tredleys with mum yesterday, i realised i'd actually been here before, a year or so ago when i snuck out of a tibetan restaurant shindig to have a little poke around.. as there were too many loitering muggles at the time, the search was only cursory..
so this time around, with an empty parking lot surrounding us, we jumped right in, and log signing taking place not long afterwards. a shame grubs litter everywhere.
Thanks konie for hiding a cache out here a good while back now!

With a day free, a list was compiled of newly published caches in the Caboolture area, on the way to a compiled list of caches around the Yandina, Wappa Dam and Nambour areas.
Yep it's there, just took more searching than I expected as there are lots of rocks and several bushes. tapped out all the ants which have started nesting inside.

*Forest Glen BP - Southbound* signed at 14:05 and cache returned as found. Thanks for bringing us here **Konie**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

my sister, mother and i were there for ages lookin through the bush! not a sign of anything (
Heading south I thought it was worth having a look for this, one DNF doesn't (yet) indicate a problem. Spent some time doing a bit of CITO, digging around the bushes, and realised at the second one that something smelled like wee. Too gross for me and I gave up the hunt - it may still be there.
The simple ones can be the hardest.
Found a kinder surprise capsule with papers inside and thought cache was found. But alas not the case.
Couldnt locate this one.
Thanks Konie

Very quick and easy find. On our whirl wind trip in QLD. We are here for our daughter to compete in a national dance Hip Hop comp in the gold coast. So we are quickly visiting my parents in Tewantin . On our way to the Gold Coast now stopped in for a pit stop. TFTC
I have driven past this cache many a time but today I decided to call in and have a little look.
Plenty of parks not too far away.
Cache was found easy enough once at GZ.

Found the dirty sistema container with a log that had been last signed on 2/10/18. I don’t know what the finders after this date have found. Will send CO a photo. TFTC
Hint helps, however, sistema is disguised!!!!! As newbie geocaching, this is stretching my ability to play hide and seek. TFTC
Found with AlliD. Took a bit of hunting with GPS. Hint helped. Signed the fresh log. TFTC
On our way home from holiday in Noosa, and thought we would nab this one. Poked around for a bit fearing the worst, then all of a sudden! MstrCam came up with the goods the close by muggles seemed unfazed as we hunted, signed and replaced. Tftc!
While camping in Landsborough for a few days with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and try finding a few caches ...
Most of the bushes had rocks near the base, but no bushes had a cache I could find.

Great spot to pick up my Australian souvenir...Left a NZ coin. GPS led me right to it, but there were lots of muggles, beware! TFTC
Got with in 5m but had to abandon search due to the muggles in the area... TFTC I'll be back! !!!
This cache certainly has been around for a while. Thank you Konie for keeping it around so long. As per the description, it helped to narrow down the search possibilities. The hint was a little off, but probably due to the changing conditions of the cache over time. I did eventually stumbling upon the container after digging and scratching around a bit. Found cache and log in great condition. Thank you for a great hide [^].
