What a great little adventure! It was good fun to go on a bit of an "off road" mission to get to a cache. Followed the GPS and popped out in just the right spot. Cache was nice and dry inside. As we left we realised we had in fact come a much more difficult than necessary way. Never mind, was good fun and we exited through the pohutukawas, which I imagine is the way you intended. Thank you for the mini adventure, FP.
The coordinates for this indicated over a fence towards a cliff maybe its not exactly there, but no indication of where else, and not going to cross the fence where cliffs are
We're currently staying at Sandspit, and today we explored the Scandrett's Farm and Scott's Landing. Great walks and caches to be found - wouldn't have minded a bit of sun though.... but it is May after all! Happy to find this one thanks to hints from Jag50, TFTC
Mrsjag was about to head over the fence and down through the long grass towards gz, when she met a geocaching family. They had been unable to locate this one, and so mrsjag was up to the challenge to locate it. After searching a few trees, the cache was found in a hollow fallen down tree. TFTC
What a stunning place amongst giant pohutukawa trees with branches loaded full of epiphytes and stunning views. Kids mistook an old bottle for the the cache first but after a few more minutes we found the right one. Cache is older than the kids and even smells like an old closet. Logbooks were quite damp but could still write on them. TFTC
Yay! What a spot! My first visit here in Scandrett Regional Park.
I left my vehicle by the gate a walked down to cache location.
Thanks for placement. It was a big pleasure to find it.

After a nice walk around the park picking up Magnus's and Imogen's caches we headed over to find this one.
We were a bit worried about the terrain rating but the previous two had ended up not being as hard as we expected so we hoped this would be the same but soon realised it was definitely going to be a 3.5.
There had been a lot of rain recently so the grass was very wet and Mr Coblet headed off to find this one on his own.
Despite getting soaked up to the knees in the long grass it was a very pleasant and peaceful area to walk through.
Once at GZ it took a couple of minutes to locate the cache as the GPS was bouncing around a bit but the nice sized container was soon spotted. A great place for a cache.
Thanks Eleanor for a great hide off the beaten track in a very picturesque location.

Nette and I followed our gps and scrambled down a little early so took a slightly higher terrain path to this cache. After Nette had made the find and signed the log we took an easier path back up through the long grass
Down this way to grab a few caches with the kids. Scrambled our way down to the cache. Noted the DNF but searched anyway. After a brief search cache was found all good and well. Signed and replaced cache. TFTC
Dropped my glasses and pen near GZ in a grey soft pouch so if anyone finds them please let me know. Cheers
Last cache here in Scandrett and parked nearby and headed across, then down. After circling several options I spotted the nice sized cache and replaced as found. Lost my glasses near here, if anyone finds them please let me know.
Weekend is here and keen to get away for a quick local-ish visit and Warkworth and Sandspit area were the choices. Not too many finds but plenty of awesome scenery and new experiences.

Super hot summers day, left my water in the car thinking I will only be a few minutes, great find thanks, glad I was wearing shoes TFTC
Over the fence at the stile and straight to gz. Only a 3m error. Left some rope I found on the way. Not on the target tree sorry
A great hiding spot for this cache but some distance of from the main walking track.TFTC
8 January 2020 # 18. took some time to locate. My 11 year old son noted this cache was older than him. TFTC
Yeah! Tracked it down. Well, it took quite a while, I was happy to wear trailrunning shoes and now I am completely messed up with spider webs. But who cares?! There a few trees that could hide the cache. But there are more than the ovious three ones...
Called to nab this one on our way out, well it was a bit of a stumble but we got there and located the cache in the cool breeze today. Signed logsheet kingfisherau 6:15 pm 17/10/18 and replaced all as found,

Beautiful view, everything in great condition but Log book is pretty full so we signed in a spot @ 2017. Yes it is off the beaten track but the view was worth it.
This is a large container. Well done. It deserves more goodies in it. A nice hide but I had little difficulty in finding it. This begins my walk around the farm park. TFTC
[335] Like previous logs the GPS was misleading, and there dosen't seem to be any official trail either. finally found after searching the right tree.

A long time since I've been in this part of the world. A pleasure to visit.

Log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.

This one was a bit tricky. The GPS was going crazy and we were being led all over the place, and I was wishing I had my tramping boots on. Just as I was on the brink of giving up the GPS settled and how can I walk away when its only 65 metres away! Persistence paid off and yay I found it. Thanks
Great spot, had some difficulties with the GPS. Bagged a NZ halfpenny and left a Brunei 50 cent.

This is a beautiful spot. We will be back to the park soon. We visited with the [Twin Coins](https://coord.info/TB3C3GH) trackable. TFTC.
I'm not sure how much more off piste I could have got trying to claim this cache today as I couldn't get a fix on the location. Finally found and signed though and I found some feathers that were part red, white and green on the ground nearby. No sign of the Sky Tower today as it is misty in that direction and I can feel spits of water coming from above so I guess a small shower of rain is imminent.
After completing the caches at the lower level of the park, we drove up to the little parking bay and left the car there which meant it was only a short walk to GZ to find this cache. Another peaceful and picturesque location here. Cache quickly spotted and a nice size too! Thanks for showing us this spot and also TFTC!
(1935) First visit to Scandrett Regional Park. Great spot to visit and collect a few caches. TFTC
Having wandered off piste, I was rewarded with a great view between the trees.
Thanks Eleanor.

#479 Woke up bright and early to collect this one. Today we are heading back home so had only small window to collect. Also the large cache incentivised me to collect as I only have a few of these under my belt for geolicence challenges. Nice walk up the hill from Martins beach and down again to the cache. Quick find as there is only a couple of spots this cache could be.

Staying at Martins bay, but way too windy to go fishing, so grabbing some caches instead.
Picked up the ones over at Scandrett and had passed this one earlier to the west.
Being the last cache in the area to claim, I walked back up following dinner.
I wasn't disappointed, even though I attacked this from too far east this time,
the placement of the cache is brilliant and is probably my favorite for the day.

Out in the area today collecting some caches to help with our Geo-Licence challenge requirements. This cache was one of them. A quick hop through the paddock, and a clambour down the bank, the cache was soon in hand. What a lovely regional park, it was great fun checking out the historic farming buildings. Thanks for hiding!
Tftc, staying in the three bachs for the weekend with family, nice day for a cache walk.
Out and about on a splendid Autumn day for a spot of geocaching North of Auckland. I found myself nearby and couldn't resist stopping for a look around this park. I parked up in the obvious spot and descended down through the large Pohutukawas towards GZ passing some ruins along the way. The GPSr was not very responsive and I ended up passing GZ by and then walking a wide circle before I was delivered unto the correct spot. Quick find once there. Good to see such a large cache. Found a TB which hadn't been logged in, which I took. Great views up here today. Cheers for the cache placement!
Pretty easy find in a great location. Been years since I had been up this way and it's just as I remember it
This was a mission, bashing or way off the track, but once we got to the spot, it was easy to find. Great views! Dropped off a trackable
Found this one on a tour with handraweil.
Thanks for the cache.

We were hoping to get some walking out here with our doggies. the cachepage didn't mention anything of not allowing doggies, so off we go. Hmmm nope....so we had to turn around.
As this was just at the gate, I went off to get this nice large cache ticked off

Great large cache tucked in nicely. Fabulous views from the roadside. TFTC.
Great cache. Bit off the beaten track and had to circle the tree a few times to find it, but well worth the effort!
Great location. Ground a bit uneven for kids. Terrain difficult (unless we went the wrong way!)
Another one in the area we somehow missed yesterday so we came back today to check off our list. Tftc!
Took a more difficult direct line as shown via compass from the sign on the road for this one. On the way back realised I could have made it a lot easier! Nice hide. TFTC.
Have just become a premium member and bave decided to give this a favourite point. Not the easiest of the hides this family ha placed at Scandrett's and although all of the stand out because of the beautiful day and the location this one stands out the most in my mind.

Unfortunately, I did not find this cache.
I'm not sure if it has been muggled, or I'm just stupid

Lucky one of us was brave enough to hop the fence (I'm personally not)- entered safely by the water-tanks without breaking the fence. Not in the tree hole where I thought but continued looking and eventually found it. Felt like a mountain goat on the way back up! Not many exciting toys in the cache but clean and dry. TNLN. TFTC
Last one for the day as need to race back home as been out too long. But where does the time go when you're having fun . Interesting wee scramble here . Quick find and GPS was spot on here. Most enjoyable set of caches in this lovely Regional park. Tftc
