Logs
Didn't realise this one was archived until I came to log Found it but as per other logs completly saturated
As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Quick lunch time find.
Emptied surplus water from container. Log book is in plastic bag but is completely waterlogged and unusable. Needs maintenance but unlikely as cache owner hasn't logged on since 2007.

Container half full of water, emptied out. Logbook is waterlogged, unusable and needs replaced.
found it - although container was completely waterlogged and log book was soaked. couldn't write our name in the log which was frustrating
TFTC had to wait for a break in the traffic crossing the bridge, also contents were a bit damp
Nice quick roadside find. However, cache is soaked, log is wet, and needs replacing. Thanks.
Kids liked throwing biscuits into the water, found easy enough things wet in container.TFTC
We parked up and then someone came (looked like the owner of the yard) and swapped cars so had to wait for a few minutes. After that was a quick find, Cheers
The last one of the day was a quick find. Used to live nearby with Old Boots 40 years ago. A lot more businesses here now. TFTC
Found after filling up the car with petrol which seems appropriate. The log book is a bit damp and could do with a night at home to dry out.
Needs a new container, seal on this one is gone...no rubber under lid to keep water out
No test of stealth today as there was no one about. Must be the poor weather and the holidays or something. Plenty of cars parked about though and a quite a few more passing by, but out of view from the cache, so that was great! Thanks BWNZ for the cache.
We had a giggle finding this cache. We were approached by a very determined car salesman who was quite insistent on finding out 'what are you looking for'. We didn't give the game away and waited for him to disappear before making a quick grab. Container was still very wet but log book wasn't too bad in the bag. TNLN, TFTC, great spot and good challenge. [^]
Wandered slowly up to GZ, saw the obvious spot, and made a quick grab - without falling into the creek. The cachebox had lots of water in it, managed to pour it out, but the seal needs attention.
Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1612)

Resorted to using the clue, due to the number of nearby muggles. Easy find then. TNLN, TFTC.
I had a serious car crash one day while geocaching..... but that's another story.
Last one for the day as it was starting to rain. Decided to get some KFC and head back to the motel to watch some movies I had downloaded.

Very very wet, we placed a new log book in as the original is completely mouldy and unusable. Easy find though.

Very wet but nice and easy. Had to find a dryish page. Found with the johnnys crew.
It was fun locating this one without letting people around us know what we were up too. There was quite a bit of water in the container, and one of the toys was rusting, Dried it all out as best as we could.
Was glad of the 'grab rail' as I went in at 10.45 pm. Wouldn't have been found for days if I'd slipped down here? Had scouted it out earlier in the day, but office ladies were not busy enough! Emptied 1 cm of water out of bottom - log biook very wet. TNLN, TFTC.
Nice quick find, nobody looking, though it was obviously busier later in the day. Our 100th Cache YAY!
Thanks to all those who helped us this far.

Nice easy find - was sitting on stump enjoying sunshine when muggle drove past oblivious to me sitting there - was quite funny.

Fairly quiet day in the area but feigned looking at cars on my approach before making the grab. Wouldn't want to try this one during the week.

Did this at night so no muggles around. Almost visited the creek by accident. TNLN, TFTC
Whew! Several rather rough tattooed types driving over the Kaikorai Stream bridge made it a bit nerve-racking. Took advantage of the wilding plum tree nearby and ate a few as an excuse to be hanging around until the coast was clear.
Just passing by today and as the car yard was quite empty of people; we decided to give it a go.
Took quite a while to find it as GPSr was pointing quite a few meters away from where we found the cache.
Writing up the log I now see why, we still had the old coordinates in the GPSr. In some way it made it more fun as we had to do a lot of muggle dodging.
Thanks.

Could do this one by car 'cos I was taking a load of garden rubbish to the tip for composting.
Easy find. Location deserted on a Saturday afternoon during the holiday period.

Did it in the wet, Not a good idea but it was a quick find in the evening so no one around.
1830. At 5pm on a Sunday afternoon there was no-one around this area so it was a quick, muggle-free find.
Thanks

Found cache on a beautifully sunny day with quite a few muggles walking about. Took Butterfly Lady's My Porsche! travel bug.

Nice easy find and no muggles about
Dropped off "My Porsche" as it seems a suitable place for a serious car to visit.

On holiday with Dud's Buds in Dunedin for the weekend. Easy find. Off for a coffee afterwards to warm up from the cold wind blowing. TNLN Thanks
We found this with "Adventure" during an afternoon of caching in Dunedin. A nice easy find and yes, stealth is required but not compared to some others we attempted today.

Great cache! Had to be ultra-stealthy and wait until muggles had gone before replacing. - mini playing cards, + mini car.
Luckily all was quiet at 8pm on a Thursday evening! The subtle slip marks to the cache made the find nice and simple - great hide. TFTC!
Cheers,
G.
-clip,
+pack of cards (only just!)

Great hiding spot but not too difficult on a wet cold Sunday morning when no sensible folk are out and about (except cachers I guess). - carabiner keyring + shoe polisher kit. TFTC.
New co-ords look good, well from DCC's webmap at least (it uses the North Taieri Circuit 2000 datum and there is a conversion tool at http://www.linz.govt.nz)
** Coordinates Changed From **
S 45° 52.298 E 170° 28.410
Distance From Old: 42.1 feet
Eli and Gibler have commented on the co-ords being slighty out. I havent checked the co-ords Eli published in his log but they are most probably right, correcting the small distance the co-ords were out by. I have to be honest, my GPSr isnt the best the world has ever seen. Hopefully these ones are a bit closer. BWNZ
