interesting while it lasted.
we always meant to put a checker on it but somehow never got around to it.
Now a fire has forced our hand!

16-Sep-13
without a checher this cache is way too hard Sad can one be added ?

31-Aug-13
There's been a bushfire at GZ. After ringing a past finder who directed us to the right spot which had been burnt to nothing I think it might be gone...

WOOHOO! It is there! It was full of water and mud but it is there! TFTC

04-Apr-13

Thanks to Cahce_or_check for checking n this one and confirming a find.
Now back on line.

28-Mar-13
A very pleasant dusk drive through the region accompanied by plenty of wallabies followed by a short search amongst the vegetation. The result..... After 19 months, there's finally a new name in the (rather damp) logbook.

We have temporarily disables this listing until we can get the time to go down to Kuitpo and check it.
We will not make it there before Easter.

Tried and tried and tried some more. Can't find it... Found a tyre, three bottles and a few million cobwebs. Sorry this one has regrettably beaten me.

17-Feb-13
No luck I'm afraid - got to GZ but couldn't work out where to from there. The cryptic clues are far to hard for my puny intelligence. Hoping its still there.

Ok had confirmation from CO on my answer - heading back out to claim it Smile

So went there to claim it today and I can't find it Sad fail.

My first DNF today after search..
not sure if my GZ is correct..
thanks anyway

Had it "worked out" months ago but today discovered I had applied the logic properly to only half the problem. Ended up walking on a "wild goose chase" with the originally determined GZ on a field inside private property. After returning from my 3 km walk through the bush I applied further shonky logic with another walk in the wilderness (albeit a lot shorter and closer to the real GZ). Eventually thought I got it right and did the searching. Widened the search and success. The prize was about 20 metres from my calculated GZ. The container was in good condition. TNLNSL. Thanks Irac- for a pleasant walk exploring the kuitpo area.

We had quite a lot of different combinations of possible answers to this depending who did it. We found it just too subjective. We did try a couple of these possibilities with no joy but with no Geochecker so no idea if we were even in the right the place we didn't look for too long and moved on to other caches.

05-Oct-10
Went out today & we spent 20 minutes trying to find this one.

It might need to be checked, as the forest has recently had logging & clearing through it so the cache may be gone?

07-Jul-10
While I was doing something else Lava12 had it in hand.

You almost got us stumped again but we managed to find it in the end. Phew! Yes, it is a very well hidden.
Thanks Irac for the cache.

08-Jun-10
after several failed attempts at finding this one we finally succeeded today, in the rain with a very wet geo-woof. thinking of training him to find small plastic containers!!! ha ha Su found it in a very well hidden place. inside the box is a bit damp but the log book is dry, as are the swaps. T-globe keyring L another keyring!

A beautiful day to go cacheing. After a considerable search I found the cache. As it had not been found for so long it was becoming part of the environment. The cache was not difficult to get to other than that.
Thanks Irac- for the confirmation of the coordinates before I went as I may have given up sooner if not for that.
Cheers from the Posspet Boys

29-May-10
i know i have the correct coords - checked with the owner but still couldn't find it today........

15-Mar-10
Searched and searched for a long time with different coordinates but no luck I have emailed the owner about the coordinates but no reply from them. Sad Thanks for the hunt.

02-Mar-10
tried various combinations of solutions all in a similar area but to no avail - will check my coords with the owner i think before revisiting.Sad

We had to get help on this one because we had worked out the puzzle and after walking about a km into the forest couldnt find the cache or even a likely gz. It appears that the 4th word in the list can be pronounced two different ways which give a different answer. I chose far as the opposite and that was incorrect. Luckily we were able to get the help we needed and made our way to the correct gz. TNLN. Thanks Irac- we enjoyed the challenge.

Thought that I had this one solved, which proved wrong when I checked with Irac-. Reworked the puzzle and checked the revised coords. Bingo, straight to GZ!!

A car pulled up just as I was leaving and the driver hopped out. Was that a GPSr in the hand? A quick U-turn and watch. Definitely another cacher! It was interesting watching another cacher, who shall remain nameless, going through the joys of looking for a cache.

TFTC Irac-

Yep, I am the nameless cacher.

Ever tried to find a cache quickly when you are being watched.

It can't be done. Red Face

If God ever wanted to punish someone, he'd make them score a hole in one - when no one was looking....

Clear skies and thanx to Lord for showing me where it was (well I was less than 1m away....) Big Grin

Clear skies and TFTC, TeamAstro. [^]

At last! With a little help from Kooradina. Had been looking nearby for ages on a previous visit- not very environmentally friendly actually! tftc

12-Apr-08
At long last, we found it. Added a few keyrings as it seemed a few short. Took Travelbug, going on trip tomorrow will start dropping bugs.

22-Mar-08
thought we might get close with our numbers, but a flattening GPSr battery and not enough time and maybe dud codebreaking who knows. We'll be back!

10-Feb-08
Mrs. A. came up with the key to the puzzle, I did the maths and realised we had the right idea, however I got the answer to No. 4 wrong, only one digit out, but this put us about 2 km north in the middle of a rough piece of pine forest!
Realising that we were way off course we called on the Stanleys for help – Mandy gave us a general description of the correct area, that we had already driven past! We returned to this spot, I feed the correct number into the GPS, walked over and grabbed the cache!
L: Lanyard
T: Boomerang keyring
Thanks for the challenge irac_

Mrs S tried this one a couple of weeks ago but had the last digit wrong. Returned today with corrected numbers thanks to Mr S and found it straight away. Was very happy.

The cache had water in it so emptied it out. Contents are not affected at this stage.
Thanks Irac

16-Dec-07
Took me ages to solve this supposedly simple puzzle. Suddenly one of the logs made a whole lot of sense and it was solvered. Took nearly as long to find the cache, which was actually in the first place I looked and right where the co-ordinates said it should be.

24-Nov-07
Sorry - not found.

06-Nov-07
Must have had the correct coordinates, but couldn't come up with the goods. After widening the search the arrow obstinately pointed to the same spot - a more thorough seach, and the cache was located!

20-Oct-07
Found just befcore lunch along with Team Shorty.
I also could'nt work out the last number.
Looks like this place will be closed for next weekends car rally
Thanks irac

One wrong digit can make soooo... much of a difference Red Face
Would you believe I parked only 20m from GZ on my first visit while I was trying to locate an easy access route to my incorrect co-ordinates [B)] Oh well, I needed the exercise at any rate!

This time however it was a very quick find. Swapped the fish for a $50 keyring & SL
Cheers Irac-

Found after about 15mins of searching and about to give up. Turns out our last number was a little out, unlike 4fun's must've been miles....
Grabbed the Grimlock Coin
TNLNSL(didn't have a keyring, sorry)
Thanks

11-Oct-07
Well it seemed straight forward however when I got to GZ it was the proverbial searching for a box in a needle stackTwisted
walked around in circles searching for about an hour before giving up on my first GZ and trying some more possabilities that seemed less likely but more in line with the 1.5 star terrain. No luck at them either Sad
Eventually gave up after about 7km of walking and wasting most of the morning. Will see if someone else has more luck!
Cheers

Big Grin Had some trouble, but not as much as four-fun. My ignorance was proving an obstacle to finding this one, but, when in doubt, ring Mum! Bliss was achieved when the cache was in hand. Left a key. TFTC!!!
