A great day, really enjoyed meeting everyone. Especially those who travelled from the North West and South.
What a great day it was. Even the sun came out.
It was great to see so many there and meet new (well maybe not new but new to me) cachers from the north and south. Thanks to snuva (from the South) for organising this event.
I can't wait till the next one.

Lovely to see everyone again after so long - even if we only managed a wave to the cache owner ( meaning MM and the cache on the table!) Bit of a mixed bag though for some - poor Snuvas, hope you are all better now; poor 5commer3's - hope things will work out insurance wise; poor Rupertrat - hope the next icy pole is kinder to you!
A nice warm day for a great event. Thank you Snuva for organizing a great day. It was good to meet some new people and i had a nice walk.
p.s. We won't post your picture swampy

Another great event, with a bit less traveling this time,
A big thanks to Snuva for organising it, Great to meet some new people and put faces to names, especially a few more from the north of the state, Finally met Waterwells who's cache I accidentally stumbled upon in 06 and ultimately got us interested in caching (thanks I think),
Good to see the weather stayed nice for the event, it rained pretty heavily for a while after and it would blow the milk out of your tea at the moment,
A big thanks also to forthferalz for the loan of the Magellan, we will get it back to you as soon as we get a new one,
I hope the muggles that got my Garmin don't start caching, We don't need their sort do we!,
Yes Mr Swampy a 101 would be great as We were unable to attend the one down south and could use a bit of help as you know.

After a quick visit to work in Launceston, it was time to head for the long time other nemesis cache of mine - Forest Gum "p". Hang on, there is an event here.
Great to see all the regulars and meet some newbs. Pity some $#($^P)@ head took the GPSr. Nice chatting with everyone, supplied a couple of tips on paperless caching and even found a cache!
Thanks Snuva for organising the event - maybe we should do a 101 but get a local to post the event....

Wow! And event in the NORTH of the state! That wasn't hard now, was it?
Thank you to all who came, we had representation from the south (of course), north west, and even some northern cachers! And we had a great cross-section of familiar faces and new addicts.
Too bad that I've been rather ill and therefore cannot feed my addiction more. Usually right now I'd probably be camped out somewhere, Scott & I drinking a bit of wine in the back of the cacheCamper and planning Sunday's assault. Instead I'm home logging my measley 2.5 finds and ready to climb into bed. However my addiction is such that I just couldn't miss travelling up and back to see you all.
The only clouds that rained on the parade were the #*^($@! people who nicked off with 5commer3's GPSr. I hope it drives them absolutely mad trying to figure out how to get that phone working! But big gold stars for forthferalz for giving them a loaner; gotta feed that addicton!
See you at Green's Beach in January? Just remember: bring enough to SHARE Mrs 'Gizer!

So this is what the southerners all rave about eh. What an enjoyable day. was fantastic catching up with old friends & meeting new & enthusiastic cachers, I almost felt like my Grandparents and might of been heard saying things like "back in My day, there was only a handful of caches, I remember the very first event on the East Coast" etc etc.
anyway, thanks Snuva for reminding us Northerners how easy it is to meet up & say Gday.
plus, a letter from Mrs 'Gizer;
Dear Rupert Rat,
IOU 1 box of sorry and 1 frozen Icypole.
Next time

No!!!! I wouldn’t do that to you Snuva, after reading your log about you being sick and all, snuggled up in a nice warm bed after a long hot bath….GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
I wont let you sleep that long ……I’ll ring you at 3am!!!!!!! LOLer
Was good to catch up with a few faces I know and some I didn’t.
Hope to get to these events more often than I have in the past…..

Nice day, nice sunshine, nice to catch up! Gobsmacked about the theft of the GPS. Sorry 5commer3: Hope you get some unexpected good luck instead soon.
Thanks for organising the very enjoyable event Snuva!

Yay, we got there (eventually)

What a great Event! Thankyou Snuva for organising it, and for reminding us Northerners just how much fun, Geo-Events can be!
It was wonderful catching up with 'some of the old faithfuls' ... and also meeting many of the newer geocachers.
It was interesting to see how 'the geo-kids' have grown since we last saw them all .... especially RupertRat, who knows what he wants and certainly isn't afraid to 'ask'?? .. (Shame on you Mrs 'Gizer! )
Looking forward to our next northern event Snuva!!

Despite threatening clouds the weather remained warm, just like the welcome to our first caching event.
Lovely to meet all you guys, and looking forward to the next gathering.

Serves one right. After a dig about it being time for a Northern event one comes along(albeit listed by a Southern cacher!) and el golco has such a severe case of Toumuther's Syndrome (think about it ) that there is no time or energy for an event [xx(].
Enjoy yourselves [^]

Well, lets see how many actually turn up.....
Apparently I'll be in the area for work, should take about 30 minutes so if I can drag myself out of bed after the late night work commitments the night before, I'll be there.

Hope to finally get to another event, have thoroughly enjoyed the couple I/we have attended in the past. I’m on Night Shift all weekend BUT seeing that this event is only 900mts from our front door I can’t really use that for an excuse can I.
Really hope that I can manage to get down for a short while at least….

feralz is really bad with names. now that David aka Jon apparently, has set me straight (this Mowbray place is not the same as Hobart) we'll be there; hopefully not too pooped from finding camelot cache.
I'm actually now thinking that I may be able to attend if only for some of the time. Will combine it with a visit to parents up the NW, and going to the Deloraine Craft Fair on the way back on Sunday!
Three other things on that day in Hobart will prevent us from being there. Have a great time everyone. Cheers Quilter
The 'Gizers are hoping to be there. I will put some batteries in the GPS & see if I can remember how to turn it on.
Oh dear, we have committments in Hobart early that evening, so probably won't get there. How did this happen??? We suspect that we didn't see this listing until it came through on the weekly notification list, so we agreed to other things!! Have a geat time everyone.
Due to prior family committment cant attend. Unhappy about that but maybe next time. Cached will be in Tassie from 14/12 to 01/08 no doubt she will arrange something. I will be at Port Sorell that weekend hope to find those elusive caches out there. Hope you all have a great time.
We'll be there, looking forward to meeting a few cachers and putting faces to some now familiar names.
Snuva knows I am comin', but just thought I had better do the right thing and let others know too!
Damn! [Austin] Finally found a job! Being sent to Qld for a month! Whereas that will not interfere with my caching too much (*cough, splutter* and stern look from Cass, someone has the GPS with him!!!) ..it does stuff up our plans to come to this event...sorry. We were looking forward to it, and isn't it a shame when employment interferes with one's lifestyle? Hope y'all have a great day!!
Austin & Cass.
(Note from Cass, I'm sure you will have a fantastic cachers catchup! I will be the one at home with no GPSr... *sigh* maybe I'll have to improvise and do it without... Christmas present is looking pretty obvious right now! lol )

Arr! Yer doin' this ta me deliberatly! What is this, some sorta conspiracy against yer favorite pirate? I agree with tha pigs, ye wouldn't want ta move it forward a bit...say until July or August? Anyway, won't be able ter make it, just thought I'd drop a line, and let yer all know I'm still 'ere!
mmm...
An excuse for a day in the North caching sounds very tempting.
Mrs. pjamesk at work all day, check, she won't even know I've been.
Could bring jaktas along as well, check, That will keep quiet about it.
Now just to think of a bribe for J. to keep her quiet. need to work on this.

Can you believe I'm actually planning on heading to Hobart for that weekend? How rude of me!
We might see if we can call in on our way past. Sorry if we can't make it for-real though guys!
